Takei Emi to continue her endorsement of ‘MAQuillAGE’

Actress Takei Emi will be continuing her endorsement of “MAQuillAGE” this year. Takei was selected by the cosmetics brand to be their CM character last year, and officials was so impressed that they’ve signed her on for another year.

On January 19th, ‘MAQuillAGE’ held a CM presentation event in Tokyo, and Takei appeared with almost no make-up on. During the event, she re-did her make-up and re-emerged on stage to wow the audience with the brand’s concept, “TRUE WOMAN”.

Takei commented, “I’m a different person.With the power of make-up, I’m able to change my mood, and transform into a mature look.”

She also shared that she’s always had a love for make-up ever since she was a child. “I’m able to become a completely different person. I can look mature, and I can transform. It’s something women can enjoy.”

Additionally, it was announced that actress Goto Kumiko was also chosen as a new CM character for the brand. During the event, Takei reflected on their first meeting with, “She’s a very cool woman. She stole my heart the moment I met her. It was hard to introduce myself. I was nervous.”

The new CM for “MAQuillAGE” will broadcast starting January 21st.

Well, we all know that Emi chan's birthday is on Christmas Day, and now that she is so successful, this probably means she will most likely be working on her birthday in the future, as Christmas period in Japan sees a lot of entertainment shows and appearances scheduled.
Even this past Christmas, she had to work as a waitress, but looks like she had three nice ojiichans at her table:

Takei Emi & Matsuzaka Tori aim to be “best couple” through ‘Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu’

A still-cut from the live-action movie adaptation of “Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu” has just been revealed!

As reported previously, popular manga “Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu” will get a live-action movie adaptation starring Takei Emi and Matsuzaka Tori. In the movie, Takei will play “Hibino Tsubaki”, a nerdy high school girl who’s indifferent towards love, while Matsuzaka will be “Hibiki Kyouta”, a big playboy who steals Tsubaki’s first kiss.

Though it’s Takei and Matsuzaka’s third production together, they play the role of lovers for the first time in this film. Reportedly, their acting is so convincing that they’ve been called the “best couple in the Heisei era” (the current time period in Japan).

Matsuzaka commented, “Though I was born in the Showa era [previous era that ended in 1989], I hope we deserve to be called as the ‘best couple’,” while Takei said, “I would be happy if people looked at our third production together as the ‘best couple from the Heisei era’, just like Yamaguchi Momoe-san and Miura Tomokazu-san.”

According to Takei, she felt that the role “Tsubaki” is quite similar to herself. “I think that people could be sympathize with the parts where you gradually start changing when you fall in love, or where you become weaker after falling in love. I hope this movie makes people want to experience the same kind of love.”

“Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu” is scheduled to be released sometime this winter.

Got my first Emi exposure through watching 'Taisetsu na Koto wa subete kimi ga oshiete kureta.'

Her character in that dorama was really unlikable... in the sense that she screwed up so many lives during the first couple of episodes. Even though we were supposed to feel sympathy for her after learning her story, I didn't really buy that plot twist

In the end, it sorta gave me an unfair bad impression of Emi because I didn't like her character. On the other hand, it means she is a convincing actress
