I remember meeting you for the first time on our first day of work. It rained that day. And as the clouds began to disappear we saw something amazing. One by one the stars began to fall down from the sky.

I dont believe it...

The hot rocks obliterated half the building but by god it was beautiful. Flaming balls with steaming tails trailing through the purple sky, landing with a boom on the new grass. The noise was horrific. Much worse than thunder or the rumble of an earthquake.

Sheltering in the main hall we comforted each other. Huddled close in the corner. We were scared. I remember holding your hand and listening to you cry - `I wish it was over!` but secretly I wished it wouldnt end.

I dont believe in fate, destiny or such fairy tale factors but it seems I really did fall in love with you at first sight.

It`s been two years and I can say now with confidence that I love you.

I love you...

We exchange these simple words as your coat explodes with thousands of pigeons. It makes me smile and I take your hands and hold you close. And through the fluttering of wings I hear you say - `I wish it wouldnt end`
