I finally got the avatar awards from
Sonic 4 and as a result my avatar looks..well, you be the judge
I had to work hard to get them though! To get the head you need collect all the rings in the post-end game section before the credits roll. Which is harder than it sounds considering that a) you can't slow down or backtrack at all, Sonic is constantly running and b) should you fail, the only way to replay that section is to go through the final level again and all 5 of the bosses. It's quite a pain. And for the body, you need to get all 7 Chaos Emeralds and defeat the end boss again, which wasn't so bad.
Tried out the demo for a game called
Grey Matter for the 360. The premise intrigued me, a youn female magician becoming an apprentice for a neurobiologist who appears to have discovered the paranormal after his wife's death. And as it turns out it's a proper old school point and click adventure game. Except the interface is handled accordingly for the console so you actually control the character using the left analog stick and any points of interest such as an object or person is now brought up via a menu by pressing LT/RT, and you make your selection via the right analog stick. It wasn't bad actually, story was interesting enough, but like any adventure game, I really need to get into the right frame of mind before I play otherwise I'll get bored quickly. It's a long demo too, was playing it for an hour and still not finished. I would recommend people at least give it a try.
