Love him, hate him, he seems to have escaped from his last scandal fairly unscathed. He seems to be doing okay/ emerged from the flames since he got top spot as male lead in 'Taiyo no Uta' after all that...
Maybe it's too early to see the damage/scars....
( You can SOOO tell by how immensely eloquent I am that I'm doing this at nearly 7 in the morning. XD )

LOL it's amazing what some apologizing will get you. But I'll be surprised if he let that scandal get him down as he is such a popular leading man. He seems to be a lead in one popular dorama every season!

He's the guy from the Densha Otoko movie and Water Boys, ne? What scandal was he in? =O

I've never seen him before that I know of! Though, he looks like the dude from Lunch Queen (Which also has Yamapi)! Curious to know about his scandal, too!
But damn is he bad boy hot in those first two pictures in the 2nd row in the first post XD XD XD

he is a good actor. he was good in all dramas I've seen, Sekachuu, Waterboys, H2, etc.
about the scandal I think he was/is the father of an illegitimate child. I don't really know the details.

boykun's right about the scandal. Somehow the tabloids got wind that Yamada Takayuki's ex-girlfriend had given birth to a child whom he'd fathered last year. Yamada handled the whole thing differently from other J-idols, presumably to save his career, coz instead of opting to go for dekichatta kekkon/ shotgun marriage, he didn't marry the girlfriend but instead agreed to pay her and the child for their expenses till the child turns 20.
The news was actually all over the tabloids earlier this year. It was quite a huge thing coz it came out about the time 'Byakuyakou' was airing and there was much speculation that his career wouldn't survive. But with 'Taiyo no Uta', it seems that his top billing position remains unspoilt so... :P

Maa... It's apparently all water under the bridge now since he's doing fine. :) The men have almost always proven to be better scandal survivors than the ladies anyway. :P

Well, that doesnt necessarily make him a bad guy =/ If his gf got pregnant, it was as much her fault as his, and maybe they didnt get a shotgun marriage cause they just didn't want to be married... These things happen often, ne? And at least he's being responsible to his child if he is gonna take care of him economically till he grows up :)
Aaaanyway, if anyone wants to see him dancing in speedos to Ayaya's Momoiro no Kataomoi and Momusu's Koi no Dance Site, make sure to watch Water Boys :yay:
