Well, I still hardly ever read books, and only count full novels in this list, but two years ago I met my target of 1, and last year met my target of 3, so this year will set a target of 4

And I'm one down already -
The Wall by John Lanchester. A dystopian tale, that feels like it could only have been written in our present times.
----
End of January, and I've read another -
The Humans by Matt Haig. I'd read another of his books last year, and saw this in a shop and really wanted to read it. Again, it's speculative fiction, and again, quite a lot about life - this one really gets you thinking about life, and I enjoyed it a lot - I like his style.

End of March and I read
Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. I saw the film years ago, and forgot what was in it, but saw the trailer for it on some DVD recently and so thought I should read the book. It was good, but didn't grip me as much as the books above.

Beginning of April, and I've reached my target of 4 already!
Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata. A nice little relaxing read about a woman who can't fit in with society's demands but finds sanctuary working in a convenience store her whole life.
