Jesus fuck, just look at them go...
The M!CD perf of Poison now gives us some full choreography, and man, I gotta say... Secret is trying REALLY hard to be sexy. What they don't realize is it's already pretty damn effortless to them, so it just feels a bit over-the-top at times. They're using all of their old tricks, hip thrusts, thigh fondling, all that good shit. But the Vagina Fanning Crab Dance just makes me chuckle, well, except when Hyosung does it, I guess, but Hyosung is Hyosung. She makes everything sexy. I do like just a tiny degree of subtlety in my sexay most of the time. Crotch in face = subtlety 0%. But all in all this is good stuff, though, and I'd kill to hear what the Korean censorship board has to say about it. xD
The Calling U perf's got this cute-sexy vibe going, and it's pretty charming in all its simplicity. I would've preferred Falling In Love as the 2nd promotion song, perhaps, but this was my next pick. And good lord, this really shows us that Hyosung hasn't lost weight where it matters. Those legs are still amazing, and we already saw her boobs start their hypnotizing journey during the Poison perf.

As far as the music goes, I do like Poison, although I can't say it met my sky-high expectations. It's stylistically really close to Magic and Madonna, which is ALWAYS a good thing. I don't think it's as good as either of those landmarks of sexy k-pop groove, but I do find myself listening to it on repeat with ease. Jieun sounds great, Zinger's rapping is on point... I have no complaints as far as vocals go. The song itself, the hooks are there, it's maybe a little repetitive at times, but it's all good. I thought the sax would get annoying fast but it actually works alright as background noise with all the layering. Maybe it could use a little more variety, but all in all the instrumentation is pretty neat.
The album is... well it's pretty good, though I find it funny that the rest of it is nothing like the title track. The rest of the tracks are surprisingly mellow love song type stuff, and I personally really like "Falling in Love"... so smooth, so nice. It reminds me of some SNSD song at times, but can't remember which... Calling U is pretty good too. Telepathy & 1,2,3 didn't leave much of an impression really. I'd really like more of these "Oomph! get outta the fuckin' way!" tracks like Poison and it's mythical predecessors.
