Bishop NI UPDATE 21The remaining food erupted from Risa’s mouth. She felt a pang of fear creep in deep down to the pit of her stomach. Her eyes grew wide and her hands clenched tight. Her stressed heart was horrified and was unable to beat at its normal rate when she heard the word
‘dead’. And somehow it was a bitter pill to swallow.
She stood up, making the floor screeched as the chair grated onto the floor when it moved backwards abruptly. Never minding her senpai’s presence, she dashed toward the door without saying goodbye and left without even closing the door.
Just like her blaring siren, her mind was restlessly thinking about Ai. And just like her driving speed, her heartbeat was outrunning each other, making her arrived at her destination half of its normal time.
After frantically knocking on the door and no one answered, she kicked it hard making the door looked helpless and it opened involuntarily. After not finding her at the living room and the kitchen, she ran upstairs, taking two stair steps in one single step.
Time halted as Risa stared at Ai’s bedroom door. She was obviously deeply perturbed. She put her hand on the door knob, slightly trembling she twisted and turned it and pushed slowly the door open. When she laid her eyes inside the room her fear was confirmed when no one was inside. Her body shivered more, her tears slowly but continuously flowed and her heart felt tight.
Silently weeping, she let herself fall onto the floor. Kneeling down with her head hanging low, she clenched her hands into tight fists before punching the wooden floor.
“It’s my fault” was her repeated mantra as she continued on punching the wood tiled floor. Blaming her own self was all she could think of at the current predicament she’s in. The murderer’s still at large she should have never left Ai defenseless. What was she thinking when she left this morning. Her action was clearly a selfish act.
Kneeling by the door, she continued to shed tears silently. Until she felt a sharp pang of pain from the back of her head and then all she could see was pure whiteness before it turned black and she eventually passed out.
