okay.. what's up with gackt's new single? it sounds a lot like Mind Forest (crescent, track 2)
Thats what I thought when I first heard it. Maybe its because of that similar flute-sounding instrument used at the beginning of the song. Didn't cared too much about the song itself and the PV was kinda confusing. At first you see him standing in the middle of a battle and no one seems to notice him. Then he starts singing while those warriors are busy stabbing each other. After that he joins in the fun but gets stabbed in the stomach instead and dies. But at the end of the scene he still looked pretty much alive and standin tall. Yeah....thats Gackt to you. Full of mystery and shit.

Anyone know what's up with Sloth Love Chunks?

Specifically, what's up with Kayo? She's not included in the band member pics of the new site, and I couldn't find any explanation either.

I tried googling and web-translating a little but I couldn't get any clear answers.

Anyone?

I couldn't find anymore information other than that she left the band. Their 2ch thread just started on the 3rd thread so I can't see the 2nd thread where there might be more info. :/

Okay let's write a little something else other than cuss words.

Fucking hell. SLC (wiki) was the best thing to come out of the Number Girl breakup and interestingly enough it was Nakao's, the dude claimed to be responsible of the mess, band.

One of my favourite Japanese rock bands evar, and they only put out one album - a masterpiece of creative and diverse songwriting. Original, fun and distinctive rock songs. That made me wonder how much real effect Nakao had on Mukai's songwriting when NG was still around. I had such high hopes for the group.

Well I'm assuming they're gonna continue because there's a new site and everything, so talks like this could be premature, BUT... Kayo was a big fucking part of the awesomeness. She had a unique, flexible, instantly recognizable voice. She's gonna be hard to replace.

Time to loop Hizumi Loop and mourn.

Wow that sucks! Always a huge blow when the freakin vocalist leaves the band. I really liked her voice too. I'd like to know the reason she left.

Do anyone listen to abingdon boys school? TMR's voice is powerful as usual. I love both singles Innocent Sorrow and Howling

abingdon boys school is the only reason for me to listen to TMR

Anyways, I think there was already discussion about them in the TMR thread.

Ling Tosite Sigure will be releasing a new CD 8/22!

In a recent live they played a new song called nakano kill you  Pierre says it has a more metal sound.

345 needs a theme song with her singing the main vocal. :P

Also check this vid out

http://u.pic.to/aswu3

I wish I could play that :/

The guy has couple more vids on 2ch.

Hell yes, I expected it to be released either in August or September!

Damn, yesterday's live must've been awesome with a condor/ling two-man and a brand new song.

Maybe not.

^^ yeah, maybe they were having a bad day. It's not like their songs are easy to play in the first place.

there was a bit of shit talking throughout that thread though.

4.knife vacation

5.am 3:45

6.赤い誘惑

7.1/fの感触

I'd prefer ling over Akai Yuuwaku, but it's all good!

I'm guessing "nakano kill you" will be getting a PV.

Can anyone please recommend a good J-Rock forum or torrent site? I want to find some new J-Rock bands to listen to but I don't know where to get information on them and I'm not going to go to a website like yesasia and buy a CD from a band that I haven't heard any of their songs. The only bands I know about are the more famous ones like Dir en grey, Gazette, D'espairs Ray, 12012, and Girugamesh.

If you want info, just google the band. google.co.jp would probably work better for japanese bands. Some bands have sample music/videos in their sites. I also find youtube a great way to check out a band. Search in english, and japanese. If you like vk, there's lots of sites dedicated to it. If you want some underground bands, audioleaf is a great japanese site.

for english info, just look in any j-music related forum. wikipedia or wiki.theppn has info on lots of japanese artists. Want to know some lesser known mostly non-vk bands, check out IiNihon(link in a sticky in this forum). Though it's not updated regularly >_>

Jpopsuki is the best tracker there is for Japanese music. If they don't have it, search on some P2P program. If that doesn't work, just ask around. I recommend soulseek as a good p2p where you can search for music, and ask people in a chatroom.

J-rock is such a broad catagory that I can't really give you any details. If you really want to find different bands to listen to, you can't really just look in a couple of places.

The best resource though, is actual people, so if someone mentions a band you'd be interested in, but can't find any info yourself, ask about it.
