I was always sorta wondering how Rin Toshite was so popular as they only have a few releases on their own label. And they also seemed to have quite a bit of fans who are more into v-kei and stuff. While searching for some info on the Disco Flight PV I found out that they are under the same production company as L'Arc~en-ciel, Maverick DC group(which is the production company of Danger Crue Records), along with bands like Sid and Mucc, which are affiliates of Avex. So promotion of the band seems to go beyond just word of mouth of fans.

Just found that interesting.

Speaking of Disco Flight, I could play a bit of it on guitar

Just a note to anyone trying to play their songs on guitar, pretty much all their songs are tuned half a step down if you haven't already figured that out.

Just found this out right now but Firefox has a little rock fes in Japan.

it's later at 15:00 Japan time and you can watch the live feed streaming from the site
If you're actually in the Shibuya area at that time, tickets are sold out but the site says you can buy tickets at the door. If you like Japanese indie-punk bands I recommend it. There's also a free cafe show at the same venue but I don't know any of the performers, looks like a more classy show though.

edit: The stream should be starting soon.. and the time table is up too. I wanna see the Midori set, but going by the time table, they'll be on the stream at 3am. -_-' I hope someone can record this.
