Minecraft
« on: September 30, 2010, 01:51:39 AM »

Quote from: wiki.en
Minecraft is a sandbox game which allows players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3D world. It is currently in development by Markus Persson (under the pseudonym "Notch"). The gameplay is inspired by Dwarf Fortress, RollerCoaster Tycoon, Dungeon Keeper, and especially Infiniminer. The game has two variants, Alpha and Classic, both with single- and multiplayer options. Classic includes only the building aspects of the game with unlimited blocks, while Alpha includes monsters and a much greater variety of crafting available, as well as requiring players to mine their own blocks. Alpha is currently the latest release of Minecraft, and plans to move into beta sometime in September 2010. Minecraft was developed for about a week before its public release on May 16, 2009 on the TIGSource forums, where it gained a considerable level of popularity. It has been continually updated since then.

I finished my first harbour to keep the pagan animals from destroying the Blessings of Mayuyu (mah boats). There's a series of islands around my major landmass, so I figure to construct several. I need to work on my architectural design, and cook up a lotta glass now that I have lava.

MINECRAFT BABY! It's pretty much the only game I play atm. >_>

I had a cool world with a massive mid ocean sand pyramid(as big as it can be made) and cool underwater glass, tunnels tree house island ect. but I got too crazy with the mining and ended up getting lost miles and miles away. I took a boat around the coast but couldn't find it after hours of searching. Even tried the cartographer but still couldn't find where I was so I just said screw it and started a new world.

I'm more into exploring the caves and finding loot tbh. I keep starting to build stuff but lose interest. Anyway here's my new world.

My hub fortress that still isn't really done. There are a lot of tracks going all over. The ones behind me go off for miles to a really cool mountain formation area. The other long set goes to the temple I just started in the distance. Can also see a bit of the football field size strip mine and floating flower gardens. I still need to clean things up a bit.

Better shot of the temple. I finished the huge stair system which ended up a lot longer than I thought and had to build over the cart track. Need to finish the tower and think of a good name.

All this stuff makes me sad because of my being plagued with exploding cactuses and them constantly destroying my house anytime I step outside the front door  even during the day!!

I've just been staying inside...burrowing endlessly.

I just finished a Rail System from the Castle down to the Cave mine and Me and Iamabowl were just testing it out ahhaha it's so buggy
Here's the end of the line, in the Cave

And we tried riding it from the top, but the playe model doesn't move on the other persons screen. Only the minecart does lol.

Although a pig got stuck on the cart and he got pushed down haha

Amp that area just there with the pig is like, right under your house lol when I was tunnelling the rail system, I ran into your basement :D

We need to figure out how those guys do the rail systems in the youtube videos, seems like a good way to get around. Next time I'm on I'll start a strip mine, to get some more materials :D

Woohoo! The mine concept works :D Multiplayer's fun, zoolander. Message ebc for the server ip.

(edit)
I just realized I should have placed the stairs on the 11th row (it's currently a 10x10 mine) so that I could get those extra spaces taken up by the stairs. Ah well, I'll do it that way next time.

I've played Minecraft more than anything else since buying it. Let's make beautiful 16-bit ALUs together.
