Yu is part of the cast of 'Tokyo Kazoku', directed by Yoji Yamada- she is cast as the fiancee of the character played by Satoshi Tsumabuki.

The film is a tribute to an earlier film, and it's director - 'Tokyo Monogatari', the 1953 film directed by Yasujiro Ozu.
