This is possibly the weirdest theme yet, so it deserves an explanation. I put the blame fully on my iPod. I'm the one that added their two albums plus the GST for IIDX Gold onto my iPod this morning and set it to shuffle songs on my recent songs playlist, but it kept playing their songs in a pattern like the one I used. 1 from Yoko, 1 from Kusumi, and then some IIDX songs. I got stuck with an image in my head of them chatting with each other while playing rounds of IIDX together. Then the actual lyrical content took over. So many of the Tsukishima Kirari songs are about love and not specifically gendered. Yoko's songs have several love themes and a few of them are a bit sly. So eventually the image became one of the hyper cute JPop starlet hitting on the avant garde artist/indie musician that's 60 years older than her. With a slow progression of Yoko going from closed/hard to exposing her own internal pain to eventually returning the little girl's affection.
As I said, weird. But the implications build like that through the songs in the order they're there. For real fun, there's even some implications towards the end in the IIDX song order, if you know what Vanessa and Fascination MAXX are. Yes, Vanessa's in there twice on purpose. And sadly I couldn't get the show length to come out right with the appropriate number of songs, so the first two rounds have 4 in them ^^;

Ignore all of that if you don't care about the reasons I pick the stuff that I do. Just enjoy listening to the combo of hyper JPop, various tracks from a music game soundtrack, and experimental electronic/rock music. They shouldn't go together well but for some reason it seem slike they do.
