I think Maki's new album is her best so far. Too bad everyone either get tired of her already and the new comers only like the new HP acts or younger HP members. She is now a goner, good musics won't help her anymore.

Fuckin the best album of the year!! Seriously, if you heard the samples. Maki completely goes off the wall with Euro beats (I mean - EXO na DISCO was sexy). Then switches into traditional folkish songs (Singapore Transit) Her version of Renai Sentai Shitsuranger was more rawking :hits with chair:

OMG, I hadn't realized this was a Praise Thread. Sooo here it comes.
I LOVE MAKI~ very very much. Because
* She is beautiful, gorgeous, sexy, hawt, cute - sometimes all at the same time!
* Her dancing is AMAZING. Honestly, I don't usually give a crap about dancing. But Maki's dancing is something I have to watch.
* Her voice. I must admit I didn't find it special at first. But now her voice (whether talking or singing) makes me feel warm inside. Mmmh.
* The music. I love so many of her songs! Yayz.
* Her personality. I find her cool and interesting, yet at the same time cute, friendly and down-to-earth. A great mix of everything. Someone you could really imagine knowing in real life.
* HER THIGHS PLZ~
* She can also act. Okay, so it doesn't really matter to me whether h!p girls can act or not. But RPG was so touching and Maki was so sexy in Yanpapa that I can't help but mention this. Super cute in Pinch Runner, too!

Maki's the best in H!P! woooo~! :D
She seems the most down to earth, her voice is good she's hot, has many different kinds of sounds in her music, and she's a wonderful actress too.
This maybe because I like Gocchin and I probably notice her the most H!P, but she's the only one whom I think made the biggest improvement in her skills throughout the years. Like her voice for example got 10x better or something.

First I choose (c) because he's a guy, and I'm a guy. And guy's aren't supposed to refer to one another as "cute". Calling another guy handsome, or even good-looking is fine. But cute? Unless you're talking about an infant, can't do it without sounding fruity (if you know what I mean), and even then it's a little wierd.
All that put aside, (a) is then the only viable answer.

There's a torrent of both books on the JPOPSUKI tracker. However, just so you know, the scans all (or at least most of them) have torn edges, evidently from where the person ripped the pages from the book. I'll keep it for now, but hopefully another, "cleaner" version will be available soon.

I agree, she does look good in those pictures. She has it tied back in the new H!M segments, so I assume it's her hair and not extensions. It seems like a lot of them are going for more of a "natural" look, leaving it wavy and flowing. Suits me fine :D

That was somewhere in mid-January, so minimum 5 months depending on when they taped the episode and when that picture was taken. My hair grows almost inch in about a month, which would have been about 5 inches since January, so it's possible that it's her real hair. My sister's hair even grows faster than mine. :shock:

Namie Amuro, named "queen of hip hop by herself" could release HHJ and everyone and their mother would buy it. Last time Maki's sales increassed were thanks to Daite yo! Please go on, after that, she tried everything. Drugs effects in Genshou, two ballads and a weird rock music (Yokohama Shinkirou). All these songs are listen-able, I mean, I like them (not enough to play them all the day long, but they are good). However, Maki needs to gain fanbase again. She reached the point where she's only supported by hardchore fans and overseas fans like us (30K for her last two singles and her album). She isn't loosing nor gaining fans. That might mean "Hey! Let's release something catchy". One ballad among a thousand ballads could be a No1 and it should be sang by a top artist. And that's just my opinion. But it is really cruel to see Maki falling and no one making a hit for her. After the hit, release whatever! Rock, hip hop.. whatever! But not now.. Don't play with fire.. Just be as clever as Namie, and use "queen of pop" as a cd title. That sells. I do Marketing & Advertisement. At least, that'd draw attention. Considering the title of the upcoming Namie album is Queen on Hip-Pop, you might wanna change that. And she's not nearly the big seller as she used to be. Certainly much an improvement over H!P sales but still not the best for looking at sales. What Maki needs is tie-ins. Look at what happened with ORANGE RANGE. Tie-ins CONSTANTLY and look how much they sell.

Instead of her third album, "Maki Goto Best Of" would have been better.
Aya sold 40K of her last single, but 120K of the Best Of.
120.000 persons that might buy Aya's next single (improbable, indeed),
but they'll be looking forward to it for sure, in order to give it a chance.
That's a good strategy. But since Maki had an album this year,
her Best Of will be on the shelves... who knows, maybe next year xmas.

well, in all fairness, it's not one of Maki's best ballads. she's had much better ones like [Sayonara no LOVE SONG] and [Sayonara "Tomodachi ni wa Naritakunai no"], but I have to say this isn't too bad. I love the chorus, and the song really shows of Maki's voice.
it's kind of dissapointing though, since I agree that I was expecting a more upbeat-ish song when I saw her new "Avex makeover" on the H!P website, lol!

Maki's new PV is very nice!! can't help but made captures of it!! a very natural and soothing feel... i really like this kind of PVs! the simple style reminds me of Sayonara no Love Song's PV, which is my favourite PV from Gocchin~!
i think Maki looks better with this long hair (extensions) than her actual hair now (which is only past shoulder length if i am not wrong).

I don't recall her dropping out of the public spotlight recently, and any sudden change (due to surgery) would get noticed by her fans.

I agree with Shi, in that it wouldn't be impossibe for her to of gotten them. I will say though, it is improbable. I think her recent outfits and photos are just excentuating her chest more. She's older, she has a new image, and the way we view her is gonna change along with that. If anyone in the H!P had ever thought that getting breast augmentations would benefit them in the long run and offered very little consequence, then a MM calender would look more like a Yellow Cab photoshoot. If anyone were to find out that Maki had gotten breast implants, it would be detrimental to her image, and subsiquently, her career. I don't think she's dumb enough to risk that. :halo:
I mean, I'm sure some members of the H!P have considered breast implants, but in the end, the cons outweigh the pros. I'm sure they all realise this, and if they didn't, someone in the company would of just smacked some sense into them.

Yeahh the thing is, look at Maki's schedule in February/March, after Kaori's grad. All she did was promote her album on some tv shows and appear in Hello Morning. No physically straining performances or anything for two whole months, unless I'm forgetting something. :o In April the Nochiura tour started and Dear... was released, featuring big boobs.

I am so glad that I stumbled into this thread....you never know what cool stuff you will find on this forum....Lunarr....this is a great link...I am so happy that youtube has not pulled this one from the site :D (for now....fingers crossed).
1st Gen to 3rd Gen (Maki) girls are the true heart and soul of Morning Musume. It was great to see these auditions. So much talent. They were all destined to be idols. It is no wonder that Love Machine is my favorite song from that era! :cool:
The other audtions were fun to watch as well. Rika :heart: has come a long way! Tsunku has done a great job working with these girls to develop their singing voices and musical/artisitc talent. :thumbsup

Do calendars in CDJAPAN run out pretty easily?
I'm asking because the only calendars I get are Gocchin ones, and so far, I've been lucky and wasn't faced with them running out. But I've bought so many things already, and I'm wondering if I could wait before getting her 2007 one, or if I should buy it already just in case.

'Love is Alive' is my fav MM concert and i could watch it like thousand times on repeat. About it will make me even sad ..?? nope ... i enjoy every single moments in that concert but of course i do skip some part nearly the end when the members start to say farewell goodbye to Gocchin :P I have no idea why i chose this one but whenever i feel bad or exhausted, i will think of her "look at that 13 years old girl. She has n.th at first but she never give up on anything and look what she has today. Try to do thing and don't give up!!!". Well.., i'm actually look up for her and she's my inspiration not to give up when i face a a problem.

ROFL.., i went to my office today and there were so many soldiers with guns around my building. May be because my building is just so damn close to one of thai tv broadcast company so they still have to have full control on what will be aired each day :P People seem to not scare with that troops, instead most people go cheer them up. Also some gave them flowers and lunch boxes XD. On the way back home, I asked one of the solders if that gun heavy or not. Then he said "yes" .. well i asked next question "Was that any bullets in it" then he replied with his misteries smile "u want me to test???" .. o_O I know that was a joke but that scare me to dead .. :P
I have n.th to do much today at work so i just painted s.th on the paper and cut it off, took a pic of it and made them as a part of my new signature to celebrate Gocchin's bd. It won't that nice but .. yeah .. it's my handmade stuff :heart: :heart:

Her family might not be a public figure, but a restaurant is definitely a public place. Never a bad thing for the restaurant to have more customer afterall, And my guess Gocchin would like it too. It's like supporting Gotou's family directly rather through UF* shark.

LOL I think those sites are supposed to take down profiles that impersonate other people, unless the person who made the profile specifically states they are using someone else's picture, like for fansite purposes... But then again, I think they can only take it down if someone reports it >.<

I don't think that's illegal. And I did report her to the site a couple of days ago but they haven't done anything yet. I've seen someone impersonated Rika there before and I think it was one of those pictures from her photobook.

My friend pre-ordered SBT from YesAsia as well, and she says she's having the same 'problem' too, but according to her this isn't the first time it's happened to her when it came to pre-ordering there; and that the stuff eventually shipped.

The thing that bugs the most though is that I also pre-ordered OLIVIA's single Wish/Starless Night and tommy heavenly6's Lollipop Candy :heart:BAD:heart: girl, both of which released on 10.11 too, and those are "ready to be shipped"! XD

I'm guessing for some reason, yesasia's shipment of SBT must have been delayed or something XD But they ARE selling the Limited Edition at CD Japan still (takes 3-7 days to ship though) and even US Amazon is going to get it in, but not until 10.18

My first press edition of '3rd Station' was sadly ruined by heat and water (when my house caught fire), but thankfully, the photo cards survived because I kept them in a safer place.
So, I'm thinking, maybe I should get the regular edition this time since I already have the photocards because it's the main thing I went after? XD
The first press is sold out on CDJAPAN, and I'm not sure Amazon still has it...if they do, then maybe I can get it again and give away the extra cards to a friend of mine.

Is HMV a good place for overseas orders? I know many people in Japan uses them since they are a national shop (right?) but overseas users tend to order in YesAsia and CdJapan (what I've been doing for years) but it looks HMV is faster and cheaper. They use EMS. 5-6 business days in general. Their packaging sucks and no, I don't think they are cheaper, just the same as Amazon and Cd Japan.

I see... I said cheaper because they always have like 1000 or 2000 yens less on their price when a product is announced and it's included in one of their offers, but I guess it's just marketing. Buying a lot of things together and using EMS is what I do for CDJapan. YesAsia is when I want not much stuff.

Charoite is right about HMV's packaging being sucked.
My opinion, if you are just buying CDs and DVDs, use Club Japan and take advantage of their free shipping.
On books/PB, gather all your items and use Amazon Japan, shipping is not cheap but is reasonable if you order more than one item.
Example, the shipping is double with HMV on calendars but with Amazon Japan, the first one is 1500Y and 300Y on the second one.

YesAsia has a lot of delay with me too. I wonder where my pack is. They never give a tracking number, or not anymore. That sucks. I only use YesAsia when I don't mind to have something in one or two or three weeks. But then it takes five or six and one day, surprise-alike, it's on the mailbox (When you had already forgot the order) LOL

That happened to me, too, daigong! I ended up just cancelling my order with yesasia and re-placing it with CD Japan because they have both editions in stock and on hand... Hopefully my limited edition should be shipping out by the end of this week with this other CD I ordered (of course I used EMS shipping... I'm an impatient girl! LOL)
On another note though, I am so enjoying my 3rd Station album!^^ So many good songs on there... I don't have a translation of the track listing, but I absolutely :heart: tracks 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10... I only know the name to track 1, Ekizo DISCO, which is such a hot song! bah, I guess I'm one of the lucky ones with the recent Gocchin single on YesAsia :) I've never had any problems with yesasia (other than US Customs randomly holding a shipment that contained two of my orders (about 5 CDs), but that wasn't their fault).

I tend to backup everything in DVDs. Bad thing is that I always tend to do it when all my HDs and partitions are full >.< (which happens very often).

It's a plot of her life...the title says...Life Graph (Plot).
It highlights the peaks and low downs during her life-time till now,
plotted by Maki herself.
Her 2 year old pic is so CUTE!:heart:
The little peak at 5 years old is for her 1st romance. XD
The low down between 10-13 is around the time when her Dad passed
away, so that is perferctly understandable..T_T Must be really tough.
The peak after that was probably for winning the audition and becoming
a member of Morning Musume.
The 2nd low down is between 13-14...the time when she joined Momusu,
another tough period for her I guess. She was thinking of quitting during
the year....(who wouldn't having to do that 10 days/10 dance thingy ;_;...)
But the good thing is, it's been good since...except for that little drop...
probably the timing is around her graduation from MM and once again stepping
into the unknown turf.
From graduation to now...not exactly smooth sailing..little bumps here and there...
but at least she is not feeling too bad or what. :D

I finally opened Korean ver of Goto's BEST. Got 5 postcards (quadruple size of the ususal photo card), a weird thing like a plastic keyring, and the dvd works despite not being my region. I think I'll wait for Korean versions of everything now. Cheaper and better gifts XD

Thats a preview from Yubi (Fingers), Maki's drama from earlier this year about a certain lesbian world where "love and hate mingle and swirl".
Maki plays an actresses who gets involved in a love triangle between her wealthy patron and another girl. It's actually not bad, I was able to watch it all the way through and get most of it without subs. Plus it has some pretty hot scenes. :jerk:

1)[FONT="] [/FONT]It would be cool if it fit the feel of the names used for the other H!P Allstar forums.
2)[FONT="] [/FONT]Ideally it should begin with “The” and be followed by a 4-Letter word/acronym
3)[FONT="] [/FONT]The 4-Letter word/acronym should contain the word Maki or Goto Maki or Gocchin.
Based on this format I have a few (I’ll try to think of better ones as well) ideas.

I'm also hoping to see her get into a more rock style, especially after that perf of "DESIRE" :heart: Her vocals are better than ever, and she has proved in the past that she can do a more rock-style song just as well as her pop stuff! I would also like to see the ero trend continue but make it versatile. Who says ero has to be mixed with just kawaii. How about ero-rock or ero-glam (I guess you could say glass no pumps was that style), there are endless possibilities. Maki's variety in her music and styles is one of the big reasons I was drawn to her, so branch out in many directions. (I hope I made sense with all that:ONcool2:)
I'm looking forward to seeing Maki kicking ass in the big H!P concerts again at the 10th Anniversary concert and I'd like to see some more acting with angsty Maki at some point too. :P

I agree with everything you said, zoolander (and I *definitely* think Goto should go ero-rock style! :P LOL) but I couldn't agree with this statement more... While I personally can't wait for another album, I definitely understand the value of waiting to make it great! Not to go too off-topic, but I think rushing was probably the main reason why Ayu's new album didn't strike me as being as great as I know it could have been XD I definitely don't want that to happen with Goto's next album. Hopefully UFA won't make her churn out something just to make the wotas happy XD I'm looking forward to Goto's 4th album being her best too~ something that shows off how she has grown in her singing and style! :heart:

That performance was just as awesome as her "DESIRE" one. I don't like the song as much, but she nailed it perfectly! She's got a stong voice, and controlling it just comes naturally to her, which is why I'm eagerly hoping for a rock-ish, edgier single from her; or more songs like that in an up-coming album. She just does them really well, and she enjoys doing them too, it's a win-win situation either way!
Those "Aaaa" parts gave me good shivers all over, and I love how she holds onto the long note at the end.

and in that flets she doesn't sound so great as she sounded in the last day of the tour in Osaka. She, literally, made me cry of happiness. The moment that the musics stops and the theater becomes silent and then, after a few seconds she begins to sing it's... indescriptible.

What do you think of your new and "independant" solo tour?
It was decided on last year and I was somewhat worried, but with everyone supporting me, I gained a new courage, It's delightful. I was really nervous at first, with my heart beating quickly. [laughs] When it started, I didn't quite expect it, but once I saw the fans, I relaxed. Plus, having 4 back up dancers as a companion, I was able to use the power of teamwork to help me do my best. There was all the new clothes and music, that I hope you'll like. I really enjoyed the tour, and I hope you can, too.
All your new dancing sure looks difficult.
In the beginning, I was really insecure about it, but that itself became a good thing to use to push myself forward.
When I got to the rehearsal stage, I thought, "I won't collapse, I'll do my best." I worried a lot, but I just tell myself, "Be pleasant, be pleasant! Do your best!" On another hand, it is rather difficult to dance as a pair or with back-up dancers. Because it's different depending on which dancer you are, or if you're the star of the show. The choreography and the like is very fast and jumps along, which can be hard.
Also, in most dances, you have to use your body to express yourself. But, the more I do it, the more I can improve.
As you are becoming more active as a solo artist, is there a change in how you feel about doing your work ect?
I would like to keep doing it, I want to try singing for as long as I can, I think it makes me feel very satisfied when I'm singing. Still, there is no end of how much more I can learn.
At 21, I would like to keep putting out more "sexy" singles. But I'd also like to maybe go back to the old Maki sometime. The new theme is "Sexy, cool, and lovely."
It's fun being a sexy type, but I don't know if it's really natural. [laughs]
How was it MCing at the South Korea concert?
On Sep. 9th I debuted in Korea, and on Nov. 19th I was in Seoul. The many girls at the Korean concerts screamed, "[I couldn't translate this, but I think it was some kind of encourgaing thing like Ganbatte?]" It's refreshing to get that kind of encouragment. [laughs] The fans of Korea are very enthusiastic, and support me a lot, it's veyr pure dedication. Because of this, I'm studying Korean with utmost effort. With every word or sentence I learn, my enviorment changes. I wou;d like to keep going to Korea, and learn about all it's differences from Japan, wouldn't that be interesting? But it's definatley a challenge!
What's the last thing you'd like to say to your fans
I hope you can think, "Even though Maki Goto's image has changed, I want to keep supporting her to the end!" Please embrace the new image and new aspects! I want everyone to be able to watch the concerts warmly, and be able to look into the crowd and know you're enjoying it!

"Sexy, cool, and lovely." is a great theme. I hope they stick to that idea, Cool is Gocchin's best trait imo. :heart: The Sexy might not seem totally natural but she's pretty good at it, and she still has that cute edge to go along with it. :D

Sansa's CM is awesome! A whole new PV for SOME BOYS TOUCH! It can be aired as a whole or in small parts featuring each of Sandisk's features. I am really glad Maki got this deal. Maybe the song jumps to the charts again! WATCH! TOUCH! (http://www.sandisk.jp/sansa/) Maki is... awesome! Over the black background, she wears and awesome combo. Blue trousers and a white shirt = Always win. But when the shirt shows her shoulder and has the tie on the shoulder, man, this is hot. MAKI TEH COOL! Yay for her new direction :)
I must that before this Sansa thing, I thought that Some Boys Touch was perfect for the new Nintendo Wii, as it's all about catching and touching. Or even the Nintendo DS, but that one already has Utada song. The fact is that Maki advertising Wii would put her on the spotlight for a long time. I guess the dancers give Maki a more modern and cool image, like the R&B style of this year, and now this Sansa CM will put her where she deserves! At the spotlight again!

I'm a little late, I know, but that G-Emotion footage was *AWESOME*! :heart: I loved when Goto sang acapella, too~ Her vocals have just gotten so amazingly strong! I would definitely say she's up there with Ayaya and Nacchi in the H!P voice department now^^
I also loved her version of LOVE LIKE CRAZY, which is now one of my all-time favourite H!P songs (thanks, zoo! :heart: LOL)

I just watched Maki's part in the Super Live Asia thing in Beijing. And wow she has fans there the crowd loved her it seemed. Just like when she was in Korea @ that other Asia Concert. She should release a chinese ver. of her best album like she did for her Korean Fans. Even though I'm really a fan of chinese I bet it wouldnt sell badly. Plus isnt HP popular in Taiwan....wait they speak taiwanese...is that the same thing lol yeah im dumb

This isn't the first time she's been diagnosed with stomach problems, if I remember correctly.

She has a "superficial gastritis" and she has to rest for one week. The upcoming Kinentai concerts will be performed without her.

Goto getting sick from time to time is nothing something new (so shut up with the 'gastritis = pregnant' nonsense), but she recovers quickly! So I'm sure she's already feeling a lot better.

most gastritis cases are caused due extreme stress physically or emotionally,and if she doesn't rest her gastritis will likely cause stomach ulcers, i hope maki gets better soon

Good news: Goto Maki returns to the stage today, September 1st, to perform in the Kinentai concert in Sapporo. Her solo concert tour will go ahead as planned.

That was so bad. Tsunku is to funny & maki ca't even speak english so to hear her try to speak spanish is really frickin funny. But she does a good job with the english ( awww she tried) so it's okay. I hope to see a video of this soon. & that she never covers Nelly furtado. She even kinda sound like shakira too. lol. I guess it's all worth it to her tsunku say" you make a n!gga wanna speak spanish"

Thats great if it's true! They are also known as DBSK right? I kind of know them from watching x-man and Love letter, they are great dancers and sing in a cappella. Plus I think Maki has met them quite a few times over the last couple years so it sounds probable.

Yeah. It was really just an unfortunate coincidence that her leaving was officially announced right after her brother's arrest. I hate this misconception that UFA kicked her out because of her brother. If that was true, then she would been out of H!P in 2001 when her brother was first caught doing something doinky (I think it was drinking or smoking underage? I don't remember well).
I wish her luck though.

It´s also her choice, once her contract ends, she can choose to re-sign with them or not; in this case, she´s been having ártistic differences´with H!P for years now. They want a certain image for her, she wants another.

I tracked down Maki and Momusu when they were I Hawaii, I bet I can track Maki in my own home turf.
Odds are that she will be at a night club in Hollywood this weekend, especially seeing how she is training in western dances like hip hop and krump...... Hllywood Blvd should be an interesting cruise this saturday. And she IS 22, so while she MIGHT NOT get the VIP treatment here like she would in Japan, she CAN get into all the clubs, so checking out the lines might be fruitful...

Gocchin is one of the most beautiful women ever! Her voice is angelic and she knows how to use it! One of my original favorite H!P members and remains #2. Even though she had graduated and may or may not be moving to Avex or some other agency, I will support her forever! She has real talent and hopefully will continue to make great music!

I swear I've seen her wearing that exact dress and hairstyle before in pictures... and it doesn't make sense that after going so drastically different with her hairstyle a month or so ago, cutting it short and dying it bright red, that she'd suddenly revert back to the way she used to look.
