Finnish players had a bad draft... There were even some japanese players before the first finn :D

Imo they could have done something more to the logo than just changing colors.

And Forsberg signs with Flyers. Salary cap obviously raises some shuffling in the teams.

Wow. That was unexpected. I wonder how he'll fit in with the Broadstreet bullies.

Even more, I wonder who the Red Wings will be cutting loose?

I have to say, this is one of the few, if any positives that arose because of the lockout.  LOOK at all the player movement!!!  Look at the strategy now in trades and signings!!!  Teams are no longer just looking for the big name/big-money stars, they're now looking for the best bang for the buck!  It also puts the smaller-markets more on a level-playing field with the big-ass markets.  THAT is what hockey should be.  You want to have the best PLAYING team, not just the one with the most "star players'.

And now, my favorite player of all (seriously), has gone to fuckin' Nashville?  Hey, I like his speed.  But come on, Nashville?

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news?slug=predatorskariya&prov=st&type=lgns

Hey, maybe he's betting on the Preds' owners realizing that Nashville doesn't give a shit about hockey, then he'll move the team to Winnipeg!?  Hey, you never know.

Well, we know he can play the game, now we'll get to see if he can coach it.

I think this is a natural step for him. I wonder if Lemieux start coaching Penguins after he quits playing.

Lindros in Toronto?

Well he got his wish finally... Still doesn't make me very confident in Toronto's ability to win this year either.

Coaching again???  This is his first hockey coaching job ever.  The only other coaching experience he has is with the little league team his kids play in.  The real work is going to be with the assistant coaches.  Gretzky's done a good job at providing himself with good support staff to make up for his inexperience.  Actually, if I'm not mistaken, one of the assistant coaches, Rick Bowness, used to be the head coach for a season or two in the late 80s when the franchise was still in Winnipeg.

Yeah he was, I remember those days.  I don't think this is a wise move for Wayne, he's got a less than stellar team in a less than stellar hockey market.  But, then again my bias will always hate Phoenix for being where the Jets aren't, and that's not fair.  Still, I don't think that Wayne is going to last very long as a coach.

And as for Lindros, the Leafs couldn't have gotten him cheaper if they had a fuckin' McDonalds coupon to add on a small order of fries.  All for one year?  Why pay full price for damaged goods?  Just because his heart is in the right place, doesn't mean his body will allow him to be healthy enough to play with as much passion as he used to.

Top5 mistakes by finnish TV... Fukufuji ranked 4th and he's involved in with the winner too :)
