It's been revealed that AKB48 member Kawaei Rina will be appearing in the TBS drama 'Gomen ne Seishun!' premiering on October 12.

'Gomen ne Seishun!' is a school drama starring Kanjani8's Nishikido Ryo. Kawaei will appear as one of the students at a strict all-girls Catholic school where 'Hachiya Risa' (played by Mitsushima Hikari) works. She will play 'Jinbo Ai', a Christian who is strong in faith although she appears to be the gaudy one among other students.

Kawaei commented, "I am nervous about a lot of things like wearing clergy attire and going to the set for the first time, but I will do my best not to lose to the other actresses!" This is Kawaei's second time appearing in a drama independently.

The saddest thing about it is that she's basically admitted that "the incident" has traumatized her to the point where she can no longer emotionally bring herself to participate in handshake events. If it weren't for that, who knows how much longer it may have been before she would have even considered graduating from the group.

At least she's found a new goal to aim for (becoming an actress). With any luck, the fandom won't be rid of her that easily.

At first impression, her words sound rather cryptic. However, when you think about it and put it into perspective with what she went through, it becomes more of a "she sees the importance of trying new things and grasping every possible moment/chance that she can while she can" (basically a "carpe diem") kind of thing. So yeah, it still sucks that she's going to graduate, but when you put yourself in her shoes and consider what she's thinking, then it's easy to see and understand why she made this difficult decision.
