AKB48's 7th album announced for 4th November 2015.


Most importantly the theatre ed contains tickets to the 2-shot event:

2016/02/07 Makuhari Messe
2016/02/13 Pacifico Yokohama
2016/02/14 Pacifico Yokohama
2016/03/12 Makuhari Messe
2016/03/13 Makuhari Messe
2016/03/21 Pacifico Yokohama

1st round ends Wednesday so get your skates on if you want to go...

(Also the price of theatre edition is up to 2500yen +tax now...)

There are also some other editions, which don't contain the 2-shot tickets:

Type A - 2CD
3500yen + tax
All 27 songs which got Oricon 1st place + some new songs
2 photos, and a lottery application ticket

Type B - 2CD
3500yen + tax
All 22 songs which sold over a million copies + some new songs
2 photos, and a lottery application ticket

Complete Edition - 3CD+DVD
5800yen + tax
All 42 songs which were singles + some new songs
DVD has virtual handshake things and some 10th Anniversary stuff
5 photos, and a lottery application ticket

Although it doesn't say what the lottery application ticket is for, I wonder if it is for the "10th Anniversary Premium Live". This will be held on Dec 6th. Graduated members Maeda Atsuko, Oshima Yuko, Itano Tomomi, Shinoda Mariko will appear.

"10th Anniversary Premium Live" tickets marked for 8th December 2015 which were sold with the AKB48 2nd Anniversary Photobook back in 2008 will be valid to get you into this event, even though the date is wrong.

I think it's good how they are actually letting people use those tickets sold 7 years ago...

That's great news!  Hope it isn't 2011 though - I'd hate to have to do the Time Warp to be able to grab this album.   :D

To commemorate the 10th anniversary since their formation, AKB48 will release an all-time best-of album (currently untitled) on November 4th.

This announcement was made on September 6th during their handshake and signing event for the theater edition of their 41st single "Halloween Night". There will be three different types of the upcoming album; Type A with 27 singles that topped Oricon's weekly ranking, Type B with two discs containing 22 million-selling singles, and Single Complete Edition with 42 songs including those from their indies era.

Not only will the album feature previously released songs, but also over 10 brand new songs. Type A, Type B, and Single Complete Edition will each include different new songs.

The Single Complete Edition will also come with a DVD. It will contain a "virtual handshake footage" tentatively called "AKB48 Group Member Air Handshake Event 2015" where fans can enjoy virtual handshakes with over 300 members, and also a special footage following the group's 10-year career.

I really hope it's one song for each generation and they bring back as many old members as they can, but that's probably not happening

Jul3....I apologize in advance but how does the handshake process work?  You mentioned a "first round" but the album is not on sale until November.

I know most here know how it goes but are you saying the popular member's HS opportunities are gone before the album is released?

The timing for this is very strict.

Extracting the relevant dates from the link in the first post, the rounds of sales for the Theatre Edition CDs for this album, were:

1st Round: ２０１５年９月７日（月）１８：００　～　９月９日（水）１３：００
2nd Round: ２０１５年９月９日（水）１８：００　～　９月１１日（金）１３：００
3rd Round: ２０１５年９月１１日（金）１６：００　～　９月１５日（火）１３：００
4th Round: ２０１５年９月１５日（火）１６：００　～　９月１８日（金）１３：００
5th Round: ２０１５年９月１８日（金）１６：００　～　９月２４日（木）１３：００
6th Round: ２０１５年９月２４日（木）１６：００　～　９月２５日（金）１３：００
7th Round: ２０１５年９月２５日（金）１６：００　～　９月２８日（月）１３：００
8th Round: ２０１５年９月２８日（月）１８：００　～　９月３０日（水）１３：００

There are also normally three resale rounds later on.

These are the pre-order deadlines. The actual CDs are delivered the day before release day.

Thx for the information.  I'm actually resigned to the fact that I will never realistically be able to see anything in person...dome/theater concert, HS, etc.  I don't know how to do it and inevitably miss every announcement, sale thereof, etc.

Wish it could simply happen like the good ol USA....go online and buy a ticket.  Oh well.

If you plan ahead though, it does work out.

I know that I was going to Japan without really doing it (although I had my eyes out for a concert, which I did go to, not AKB though)

knowing chara-ani, it is extremely strict and only knowing sometimes two-three months in advance for certain ones and lucky for this being out to April, it is more for the fact that it is more stroke of luck than anything else.  I had conceded to that fact but at least now I can work around other things, knowing more into the timing so just have to keep your eyes peeled for it when it seems it would be a good timing for it :nervous

No idea about resale rounds for this... sorry, haven't been following...

But... if you really want to see AKB or go to handshakes etc... then it can happen... you just have to make things happen. Make sure you don't miss the announcements, and I guess, gotta be flexible when you are going to Japan. A lot of the big concerts happen the same time every year so you can guess in advance whenabouts it will be... and Japanese public holidays are another good one for handshake events... Best place to keep an eye on announcements is the official blog: ameblo.jp/akihabara48/entrylist.html

Oh, and even if things are unplanned, you could always luck out and get a National Handshake event on whilst you are in Japan, these are only announced about a week before the actual event.
