Android is an operating system for mobile devices that includes middleware and key applications, and uses a modified version of the Linux kernel. It was initially developed by Android Inc., a firm later purchased by Google, and lately by the Open Handset Alliance. It allows developers to write managed code in the Java language, controlling the device via Google-developed Java libraries.

The Android operating system software stack consists of Java applications running on a Java based object oriented application framework on top of Java core libraries running on a Dalvik virtual machine featuring JIT compilation. Libraries written in C include the surface manager, OpenCore media framework, SQLite relational database management system, OpenGL ES 2.0 3D graphics API, WebKit layout engine, SGL graphics engine, SSL, and Bionic libc. The Android operating system consists of 12 million lines of code including 3 million lines of XML, 2.8 million lines of C, and 2.1 million lines of Java.

Android Market is an online software store developed by Google for Android devices. An application program ("app") called "Market" is preinstalled on some Android devices and allows users to browse and download apps published by third-party developers, hosted on Android Market. The website, rather than the Market app itself, provides details of some of the available apps, in particular those that are termed "Featured", "Top Paid" and "Top Free".

Last week I began toying with the Android SDK, to see what I could accomplish. The API is well documented, the UI work is simple, and there are tons of tutorials. Hoping to work up a JPH!P related app in the near future. :hump:

Looking forward to that, for sure.

I'm still on the lookout for an android device, since I can't recontract for another 2 months. The Droid looks great, but I might want to wait till the Droid 2 comes along..

What you're looking at in the photo above is a Motorola MB520, aka Kobe and/or Diablo, a midrange Android handset destined for AT&T.  The Kobe allegedly has a 3.5-inch touchscreen with a 480x854 resolution, an 800 MHz TI OMAP processor, PowerVR SGX 530 GPU, 512 MB of RAM, 2 GB of built-in storage, a 2 GB microSD card preinstalled, a 3 megapixel camera with no flash, and Android 2.1 running beneath MOTOBLUR.  Reportedly, an over the air update to Android 2.2 is planned for the Kobe, as well.  There's no word on release or pricing info, so stay tuned for that.

Recently got a Samsung Captivate/SGH-i897 Galaxy S. Yeahhhh its awesome. :twothumbs

Was disappointed though when I found out it shipped with 2.1. Damn Samsung and/or AT&T taking forever to release Froyo 2.2 so I went ahead and put in the leaked Froyo last night. So far no problems with the phone. A little bit snappier processing things. The USB tethering and mobile AP is glorious. Actually tethering it now since my ISP is shit and dead currently.

Please share apps/widgets for a new Android user!

Been playing with a Galaxy Tab and App Inventor for the past few weeks.

The Tab is really convenient in many areas, though I can't actually think how I'd use it in my daily life. Maybe I'm too used to using PCs...

AI is simple as playing lego. But I also ran into some bugs when my image files started going past 60. And the connection also started going mad in debug mode. Too bad, cause it was really fun building stuff with it.

(try to ignore the power cord XD)

Yes, yes, you can hang charms off of it :DDDD! It's a reasonable size (I would perhaps have preferred an even larger phone, but difficult to come by for some reason T_T), and it's just cute as hell. Android has really impressed me too, lots of neat little apps.

My favourite one so far is PhotoWonder (http://www.jingling.cn/problems_feature_en.php). It let's you decorate pictures and mess them up with filters and such :D

Other than all the google stuff, here's some that I've liked.

free:
Pulse - cool-looking RSSreader
cubed - cool-looking song player
Perfect Viewer - cool-looking picture viewer (great comic reader)
Rockplayer - video player (paid version removes the big red R on the corner)
FxCamera - camera with 5-6 effects (cos I like Polaroids )
TypoClock - big clock widget
Digital Clock - small clock widget
AccuweatherQuick - small weather widget
Guns'n'Glory - tower defence game

paid:
SNesoid - snes emulator
Tasker - auto stuff up.
Photospeak - talking photos! so I can do stupid stuff like make Mano Erina say "Hadoken~". (yeah, I'm a lost cause) :nervous
That's it cos I'm cheap!~

And the wallpaper pic I'm using is.. of course:

Okay so I've mostly got all the apps and widgets I need. A few that've been using..

Note Everything - Very fast, simple note taking app/widget. Also has voice recorder.
Advanced Task Killer - Basically kills running apps. Has widget for one touch kill-all.
TweetDeck - Tons of twitter apps out there though I prefer this one. Can also sync Facebook and other stuff but I mostly use for Twitter.
LauncherPro - Customizable replacement launcher. Can add lots of neat stuff like add more docks or more columns and rows.
Photoshop Express - Photoshop on your phone.
Astro File Manager - Gives full control over managing files; copy and paste, backup, etc.
Wireless File Transfer - Nice and simple, when I don't feel like plugging in my phone just to transfer one picture.
Beautiful Widgets - Paid app. Lets you place skinned clocks and weather widgets. Also has toggle widgets for WiFi, bluetooth, and other stuff.

Here's my main home screen,

I like to keep it pretty simple. Clock and weather are Beautiful Widgets. Dock is LauncherPro. I'm curious to see other peoples' home screen setup. My phone supports 7 home screens but I'm only using 4 and a half . I've dedicated one screen to settings, with all the toggles and switches for quick access. Another screen I put all the music related widgets:

Shazam - Let it hear a song and it'll give you all the information.
Pandora - Internet radio. Makes playlists and finds similar artists for you and stuff.
xiialive - Radio app that streams SHOUTcast channels. JPHiP Radio on the go.
Winamp - My preferred music player.

I actually got some old HTC Touch Pro (windows mobile6 phone) but I'm also running XDAndroid on it (an android port you can start via microsd card) so I'm also an android user now

I'm loading all kind of garbage from the market at the moment :ph43r:
"AndExplorer" or "File Manager" both free are useful~ since I can't find anything useful like that pre-installed
"X Construct" - is a nice small and free but well made bridge building game.
The rest is still downloading since wlan barely ever works~ but I'm looking forward to what the Yamanote line sounds app is like

I wonder where the Hello! Project PB apps are... can't find them in the market :/

Snes emulator @___@;;; Thank god it's paid, I'd waste so much time playing around with that <,<;;; Hahaha.

Thanks for the tip about xiialive! It works perfectly~ In fact it works a lot better than some of the apps I found dedicated to Norwegian radio broadcasts, so.. yeah. Definitely worth getting!

I grabbed the official Photobucket app, so that I can upload pictures I don't mean to tweet (or facebook), but still want to share. Works like a charm *o*

... I'm so god damn pleased with my phone, hahaha.

I'd post screencaps, but not quite sure just how yet. Perhaps I need an app for it :monster:

I wonder where the Hello! Project PB apps are... can't find them in the market :/

Search for "Up Front" and you should be able to find them, at least I did xD; They are all paid apps, though.

^ & ^^ Thanks for the suggestions but both doesn't work for me either.  :bleed eyes: I also tried those market links they have at those online browsing pages but the market tells me no results :/
Guess that's what I get for using android on a non android phone.
The android help says that apps sometimes can't be found because either they don't work on some phones or developer disabled them for some countries etc. ... as for the latter I installed the MarketEnabler app that is supposed to fake the carrier reported to the market and I set it to Verizon (US) but no difference, either it doesn't work on Android 2.2 or that's not the problem.
So I like to believe that most real Android phones have a different (bigger) screen and maybe the PB apps are designed exclusively for that thus it won't even show me them.
I'll try to research the web some more for this issue when I have time and if stuff really never wants to work I'll just code some PB apps for myself  :P2
edit: after some research I'm sure all apps that have copy protection enabled (should be some..) need a certified phone/Android version :\

Another free and useful app I just got:
"Ted" - some simple text editor. Doesn't have many features it seems but good for when you want to edit plain text files

... I also need to look for some screenshot app

Stumbled on some posts of people making awesome lego stands for their iPads, so I went 'all geeky' today and bought a set myself!
Set 8087 (Star Wars themed) to be precise. Costed a lot. But it was fun playing it again after so long.

First the stand.
Just 2 stubs at the front and a photo frame leg at the back. Very basic:

Title: Re: Android

Finally found an Android "ROM" that is letting me find all the apps, even the up-front works ones  :w00t:
I was actually more interested in kanji learning apps that I wasn't able to find before as well but looks like there isn't any really good one for Android yet (windows PC and windows mobile has ReadWrite Kanji which is pretty cool since it makes sure you draw the correct shape of the kanji not just the correct stroke number whatsoever).
The problem with not finding apps seems to be related to protected apps and google trying to make piracy more difficult by blocking suspicious Android systems from downloading protected apps.
I don't know why it's working now exactly because it's still a so-called rooted OS but all that matters is it does. If anyone with Windows Mobile happens to browse the Android thread as well I can recommend the SuperFroyo ROM.

I did also test a gingerbread (Android 2.3) version but it was slow as hell, the port of that one is still an alpha so maybe the performance will improve someday and I'll switch to that~
The settings menu is more pretty at least

Well speaking of rooted it seems that in Froyo only rooted phones can use apps for taking screenshots :bleed eyes: there is supposed to be a key combination for taking screenshots build-in but none did work for me.
However the app "shootme (screen grabber)" works fine for me since my phone is rooted. Thus here a current screen.
I demand a momochi wallpaper that is fun to scroll \o/
... I also need some widget with bigger clock but
The downside of the current rom is that wlan is working really bad. It's working bad by default due to the shitty router but in the other versions I tested it was good enough to download some apps now I get barely connected like once every 10 min for a few seconds  :catglare:
I would like to try some suggested apps of the thread but it's so annoying to browse the market I hope it gets better when I move/have a different router.

It's weird that such simple task as taking a screenshot seems to be so difficult with Android

So xiialive is absolutely amazing, but what about apps for regular radio? Any recommendations? The ones I've tried out skip a whole lot and/or get stuck repeating three seconds of broadcast over and over @_@; They also don't have nifty widgets for easy access. Hm...

^ regular radio? Do Android phones have regular radio? You need special hardware to be able to receive regular radio so just an app doesn't work... what apps did you try there I wonder?
I've also been looking for some and all I find and all that I read what you have to do is find internet streams of the regular radios orz

Haha oh well I'm not customizing it much anymore either at the moment, it gets boring after some time~ I have yet to post the new screen though, maybe next time.
At least you got some up-front pb apps didn't you? That's most important with android anyway  :w00t:

I just did my first android coding tutorial yesterday. Maybe I'll have some unofficial momo pb app done in a week or two (or more or less depending on my motivation etc.)

8D I guess I meant internet radio apps, I don't know. Most Norwegian radio stations have streams available so that's not really a problem, but I'd prefer an app that doesn't skip a billion times during a song @_@; Kind of defeats the whole purpose. Also widgets. Wiiiiidgets~

Even the media player on my phone drives me crazy, because there's no real easy access to it xD;;;;

Did you try "TuneWiki"? It's free and supposed to play shoutcast radio, last.fm radio, play videos(?) and to have an mp3-player widget.
I'll try to get it later but the wlan here is still so crappy there is no use for it yet (and it takes hours to dl it  ). I'll get internet at the new place tomorrow though maybe it'll work better there and be more fun

Just finished the first version of my unofficial momochi pb app for the android 2.2 (froyo) system (usually phones~ but tablets coming soon).
MomochiUnoffiPB.apk (http://www.mediafire.com/?int8bx3e0eo3y77)
MomochiUnoffiPBv2_final.apk  (http://www.mediafire.com/?18eai2zy248ixx0) (11/01/30)
As shown in the picture there are "only" 15 images and most were probably on the net before either by some other people or me but believe me except for the first and last I spent the whole night scanning and preparing them (removing dust etc.) orz
The original images can only be viewed with the app, you can try to prove me wrong but it'll require either beginner reverse engineering knowledge or a good decompiler. However I'll give detailed instructions how to get it to run even for people who don't have android yet and if there is really a new pic someone wants I can upload it (even in some higher res than what is on android). I just don't want to wake up after all that work and see everything ripped and upped on H!O's tracker or picboard :sweatdrop: I could up them myself if that were the point.

Way1: Installation for people with original android devices is self-explanatory but:
1. Make sure you allow unsigned/unsecure etc. apps in the settings before installing, you can disable it after installing again (don't want to spend $25 to become official dev. who can sign the apps and put them in the market)
2. download the .apk
3. move the .apk to your device (either sdcard or internal memory)
4. use the file-browser of your phone and click on the .apk + confirm you want to install
5. done

Way2: For everyone else, especially having no android running (not even as dual boot on their iphone, winmo phone)
1. Make sure you have a 32bit JRE version installed (Java Runtime Environment) - if e.g. IRC java applets work for you or you have JDownloader, it's probably installed.
2. Download the Android SDK (http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html) (exe version highly recommended)
3. Install the Android SDK
4. Run the "SDK Manager.exe" and make sure you get the platform-tools and sdk API8 maybe also "tools"
5. On the left-click "Virtual Devices" and there click on "New..."
6. Give it a name (can be anything); As Target chose Android 2.2 Api 8; SD Card Size 9MB or more (don't need much more); everything else can be default
7. Now click "Create AVD", select it and click on the "Start..." button. This will take quite some time and give you two different loading screen.
8. Drag the left slider to the right with the mouse to unlock/activate your emulated Android system whooo~ (don't close the window)
9. Open a command prompt (e.g. Windows->Execute->"cmd") and change to the drive you installed the SDK on like typing in "D:" and press enter.
10. Still in the command prompt type now "cd Android\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools" (or whatever your path to the platform-tools folder is) and press enter (>you can auto-complete folder and filenames using the tab key)
11. Almost finally move the MomochiUnoffiPB.apk also in that folder (can be done via explorer) for simplicity and type "adb install MomochiUnoffiPB.apk"
12. If it prints some status and says "Success" you're done and can go back to the emulator windows and run the App (middle button at the bottom etc.) if NOT
13. ...If NOT.. You probably need to start the adb service, you can try "adb start-server" or other ways I don't want to explain here, now do "adb install MomochiUnoffiPB.apk"again.

Way2 is also possible for all other android user though maybe only rooted phones, just instead of starting the emulator (don't need to create a virtual device either) connect the phone via usb and make sure that usb option is activated (it's an option under the application menu settings I think). Now just start at step 9.

If I ever continue to develop what I think I might be doing then the following changes are planned:
- Next&Previous scrolling/sliding when in "fullscreen" image viewing mode
- pretty background for the start screen and pretty buttons
- maybe make next pb apps themed e.g. only of one concert
- I'm open for suggestions~
I don't plan to make any using official photos due to possible copyright violation etc. and I still own enough unofficials to make 20 more apps with that amount of pics now so I'll stick to my own stuff before using internet ones means not the very most recent ones.

While I've found a bunch of picture editing programs, I wonder if you guys know of any programs that lets you do these kind of things;

As in, draw on your own pictures with a variety of effects/multicolour lines...

The closest thing I've found is something called Draw and Share. It lets me do things like this;

but there's only like three different effect brushes, and though you can choose between emboss, blur and spray you can't have more than one colour in your lines~~~... plus it adds all that black border around the picture (and reduces image quality quite a lot) :/

I know I'm picky. xD; Draw and share actually works pretty well (and it's free), but I would have loved for it to be able to do just a bit more...

I don't know any picture editing apps. There is this "PicSay" app that is always around the top-apps but I assume you tested the free version already.
I have however been playing around with drawing a little since I've also been thinking about adding it as feature in a pb app.
So far I did try to come up with a solution for multicolor drawing since single color is a standard anyway (as in a function for that already exists when coding).
It's far from being perfect though and I have no clue how to design a good user interface and add stamp like features yet.
But maybe one day it'll be useful \o/

in other news: actually got a developer account for the market some time ago o/ the momo pb app can also be found there now (with update)

I wonder what a jphip app would be like  :D

Not sure if I mentioned it yet but I'm currently using a non rooted gingerbread (=android 2.3) version so I can't take screenshots with the phone itself anymore~
I made some progress with my purikura / drawing app the last couple days but it doesn't look much different so a new pic of it doesn't make sense anyway.
UI design and stuff like that is seriously the worst o/

Good to see that android is the fastest growing (in users) mobile OS currently.

What can you expect from the Japanese market for phones?

A 3D Android phone!

The Aquos SH-12C launched in Japan last week, alongside two other Android siblings. The phone caused many eyebrows to raise in an intrigued fashion, due to the presence of a 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor, dual cameras and 4.2-inch, 3D-capable touchscreen.

I comfess, one of the reasons why I've been so hesitant to get on the touch-screen phone bandwagon is because I relied (probably a little too much) on the  ability to speed-dial (aka "one-touch dialing") that my previous phones all had. Now while the Xperia Arc doesn't have speed-dialing "per se", Android fortunately DOES have the ability to allow you to have and add Direct Dial shortcuts onto your screen. With this option, you get a icons for the small handful of individual phone numbers that you most frequently call, and tapping the icon will directly make the phone dial said number (much like how tapping an App's icon activates the App).

That works for me. :)

^ Ever looked at Windows Phone 7? You can 'pin' almost anything to the home screen, including phone numbers (e.g. your 'speed dial') but also things like points on the map.
The last I used several times so that when I step of the train I need to press only one button (the tile on the home page) and can get the directions 'from here to there'.

(BTW I use Andriod also but not on a phone)

Anyone here ever watches Eden of the East?  you know the cool software that the club created, called "Eden of the East".  just by viewing a place or even a person through the phone's camera, it can tell you every info it have, on the net, about it, a "Buzz" as Google call it.  It's a cool "app", I wonder if there is one already in place.  Saw a AT&T CM here in USA a few days ago, it could do the same, I'm wondering if it actually already exist.  If so, what the name of the app?

Android question in general.  My Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo can use Skype to Video-call, with or without Wi-Fi.  I heard that it's only with some select android phones and tablets.  Most Android Tablets have 2 cameras, but I wonder which ones right now have a capability to Video-call Skyping.  I'm currently interested in the Toshiba Thrive Tablet, some upcoming Sony and Sharp ones as well.

The way that they "shifted" the weight to one side is definitely unique, and when one thinks about it, it actually makes a bit of sense. Having more of the unit's weight shifted over to one side makes holding it up less of a physical strain on your wrist because you're not being forced to hold up as much on "the far side".

I must admit, I've not been the biggest fan of and I've tried to avoid jumping on the bandwagon of the whole "tablet" wave that so many people have been getting into. Gotta say though, this Sony S is the first tablet that I'd consider/would be interested in buying. Now if only I had an extra $500-$600 to be able to do so. :P

anyone knows a good photo viewing app?  The built-in Gallery App is not able to view my photos, both downloaded ones and the camera taken ones.  I would click on the photos to view, and it was blank.  Sometimes the you can't even find the photos in the gallery.  What can I do?  Why is it like that?  I definitely know that my microSD card is being recognized, there are definitely pictures in my phone. Is the Google Gallery app just sucks that bad?

^ Sometimes it can take some time for the gallery app to find the photos since it's scanning the whole card (same with music files and music player).
If the gallery app is able to show the thumbs correctly but turns blank when viewing pics fullsize it would be weird, could maybe mean it runs out of memory but I think in that case it would crash...
You can just look in the market for photo viewers though~ or alternatively try getting some newer gapps (google apps) package and install the gallery app from that.

I managed to get the tumblr app to work... I'm still not quite sure what was wrong, exactly~ I changed my password (my original one had some special characters), and I was able to log in after that. I guess the app had trouble processing passwords with special characters in them. Seems like a rather blatant fault if it's the case, but... whatever xD; The app is great otherwise, I just wish it had notifications!

Like SHIT that I got my Nexus S unlocked was amazing. FUCK. I didn't even play around with it much until OH man FUCK sent my Nexus S into the shop to get it fixed cuz I had tried to OTA update to Ice Cream Sandwich and BOOM it fizzled and bricked like a fuck. the USB detected it but could not start it. Sent to shop, and they said OH MAN we still working on it, a week later they go OH HEY we got these firmware box (like these http://www.gsm-technology.com/index.php/en_US,details,id_pr,8371,menu_mode,categories.html (http://www.gsm-technology.com/index.php/en_US,details,id_pr,8371,menu_mode,categories.html)) and oh, they didn't have the wire!! SO week later last nite I'm like fuck it, I'll take it back. One exasperated tech came like 'We can't fix it, here's your phone' and one look, THIS AINT MY PHONE. it was some greasy piece of shit, he goes back and later - he's your phone. AGAIN THIS AINT MY PHONE. They'd call me back but hey, last time I ever take my phone to dem rooting cell phone fix it shops. Good thing I got my box so I got my IMEI

How about the new Kindle Fire line? The 8.9" HD looks pretty swell, especially for only 300. The 7" HD for $200 looks real tempting, though. There's also the Fire SD, which only runs 159 now :panic: Amazon sure is gunning for an even more massive portion of the tablet market share, I reckon.

today's unveiling is definitely some hot new buys.

but i'm not a fan of Amazon's custom skin over Android. even with rooting, they always find a way to shut people out.

[Exclusive] Galaxy S4 due in February

Samsung plans to unveil new device at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

 By Kim Yoo-chul

Samsung Electronics plans to unveil the latest in its Galaxy line, the S4, at a European technology exhibition in February, according to company officials and local parts suppliers for the technology giant.

The timetable was released just three days after rival Apple introduced the iPhone 5, which has received a mixed response from industry experts and consumers as it is seemingly lacking in innovative features.

``Samsung is ready to unveil the next Galaxy smartphone _ the Galaxy S4 _ at early next year’s mobile world congress (MWC) in the Spanish city of Barcelona,’’ said an official from the firm asking not to be identified, Sunday. The new device is expected to hit shelves globally in March at the latest.

MWC is the biggest exhibition in the world for telecom companies and Samsung, will exhibit the new Galaxy at its booth.

The new Galaxy, expected to be the firm’s most powerful handset yet in terms of hardware specifications and software advancement, will help the Suwon-based outfit further cement its leadership in the global smartphone market.

I was unhappy with the state of Japanese-English dictionaries for Android, and decided to make my own. I think I'm making decent progress, given that this is my first Android application. I'm trying to keep the user interface very simple, clean, and straightforward.

I'm still in the process of adding many features, including a functioning kanji lookup, and stroke order information. I also need to fix many little bugs and quirks, to make it a properly usable application. If anyone has suggestions, then give me a shout. Not that I'll ever finish working on this..

So I complete re-did the kanji lookup. It actually works now, and displays stroke count. In addition, if you click the radicals listed for a character (picture 5 above), it will take you to the kanji lookup, with those characters pre-selected (picture 6).

In addition, I added a romanization option. It was actually a lot easier to implement than I thought, though I can probably improve it still.

I've still got to add a save/list function, and fix some misc bugs. Then add romaji to kana conversion.. :bleed eyes:

No, Android allows that no problem. But always be careful where you get it from.

If the App requires payment, and you didn't pay for it and try to get around it by installing a separate downloaded version, that is another matter.

So I went and re-did my database, and the search function. I'm also working on adding an advanced search feature. I'm also trying to make it look a little prettier, so excuse the color clashes.

Basic search now allows wildcards, anywhere in the query. In the first picture above, I my query was "大*院"
List support 50% complete. You can specifiy names & descriptions for the lists. Lists will allow you to add both dictionary and kanji entries, and then view them. The advanced search feature will also be used, to allow users to generate lists automatically.

Gimme a break: Next Android called 'Kit Kat'
The next version of Android will be called Kit Kat, as in the Nestle chocolate wafers, and comes with a contest to win Android and Google Play swag.
by Seth Rosenblatt | September 3, 2013 10:22 AM PDT

Google has announced that the upcoming version of its Android mobile operating system will be called Kit Kat, licensing the name from Nestle.

Android chief Sundar Pichai, in a Google+ post, revealed that Android has passed 1 billion activations and noted the Kit Kat branding of Android 4.4. This is the first time that Google had gone with a branded name for Android, which in the past have been generics like "Eclair" and "Jelly Bean."

Google says that the idea for branding Android 4.4 was developed internally, and that no money was spent either by Google or Nestle on the deal, according to a BBC report.

Google chose to change the "K" release of Android to Kit Kat from Key Lime Pie in part because, "we realized that very few people actually know the taste of a Key lime pie," said John Lagerling, Android's director of global partnerships. The flavor of Kit Kats, he said, is more familiar to programmers than Key lime pie, which happens to be the official Florida state pie.

The deal, which will involve Nestle shipping more than 50 million Android-branded Kit Kats across 19 countries, was finalized at a secret meeting earlier this year at Barcelona's Mobile World Congress. In an age of news leaks, the deal was kept secret by both companies, despite the fact that packaging production began more than two months ago.

According to the official Android Kit Kat site, there will be opportunities to win Android swag when you purchase soon-to-be-released Android-branded Kit Kats, including a Nexus 7 and Google Play credit.

I just sold my iPhone and want to join Android users and I need your advice. Which is the best android phone now? Which is the best in this LG G4 vs Galaxy S6 (http://www.techwarn.com/lg-g4-vs-galaxy-s6-comparison/) battle?

Not gonna lie, kinda miss how Android use to name their software versions after baked goods/sweets/treats. Android 12 would have been "S", so.......Sorbet?

At any rate, lookin' good.
