Reasons why Nokia phones (specifically the E Series) are a better buy when compared to the iPhone.

I love this guy's rant. Aside from how he picks apart the way Steve Jobs uses a lot of "spin" to make simple functions sound like the best thing since sliced bread, the best part is the comparison chart he sticks in at the bottom, because it's ALL true!

Yeah there's a lot of shit that he left out that makes the iphone better than the nokia e70.

Apple has great marketing tactics. They might overdo it a lot, but it's not like they're just throwing bullshit around.

They don't throw bullshit around. Their bullshit comes from the fact that so much of their shit limits you in what you can do. More of their bullshit comes from the fact that they can't do simple things like design a mouse with two buttons so that you can "right-click".

well the iphone is overpriced imo(and so is pretty much everything that comes from the ipod), but the money you pay for service would be pretty much the same if you were to have those services using any other mobile device. Though I think that some of the services are only available through the iphone.

If the person has a problem with the price, they don't have to buy it, I don't think that's an actual fault of the iphone itself.

Apple doesn't exactly limit you in doing anything. The thing with just about anything apple is that what they have is some of the top of the line stuff for just about any type of consumer but the gaming market. There are currently several 3rd party software available for macs that let you do most of the basic stuff you can do on any other OS and in some cases more. When it's time to upgrade your hardware, it's time to upgrade your entire computer anyways. And if you need a right click for your mac, just buy a mouse that has one. Mac's can use them.

If you mean the limits on the iphone, most of that has more to do with the service provider than the actual iphone I think.

I'm not going to get into the Apple wars, cause I'm not even a mac user. But if you actually try to use it, there are so many cool things you can do with apple's products, more than you'll ever really need to(which for the average user goes with just about any recent OS distribution). The only people I wouldn't recommend an apple product to are gamers or people who are looking for more features on an mp3 player.

^really though I agree with asmo, and don't plan to get either. But I still would choose the iphone over a blackberry or plam pilot if my service provider allowed it. But unless I change providers, the iphone isn't really an option.

it's pretty much an iphone clone, but looks alot more appealing for my uses. The price is pretty nice too compared to the iphone, the only problem I see with it is that I'll probably have to import it if you want it here. But all these products would probably be obsolete by the time I can get any of them

I guess good ol Bush or any future Presidents could try to ban the import and distribution of anime in the States, but I doubt they could ever simply be rid of an art form and culture
