“Are you sure ? Did you really need to leave ? we have so much free time in here, we didn’t feel bother..”, her voice indicated that she didn’t really like about this event, “you and mayu could spend more time in here..we’re okay with that”. The old lady somehow has turned mad now.
Oba-chan, the owner of takahashi hotel stood in silence while looking at two figure of girl wich standing in front of her. She try to escort this two girl to stay at least more longer in her place.
In other hand, yuki who silenced for a while, suddenly exchanged an glance with mayu wich mayu replied it with a smile across her face.
Yuki then noded and smiled to oba-chan, “Thanks for the offer oba-chan..” yuki then makes a little apologetic-face, “but.. maybe next time we can spend more time in here”.
Oba-chan sighed after hearing those answer, seems that she didn’t really like about it. “hh~..Mayu-chan~ ? you too ?” her gaze now turned onto mayu.
“Yup !!”, Mayu answered full of spirit, “Thanks oba-chan !!!” she then running into oba-san and give the old lady a big hug. “Oba-chan dai-dai-dai-daisukii !!!”
Looking at mayu being cheerfuly like this somehow bring a laughs to the old lady. “Ma~ ma~… since you have decided—”. She looked to mayu’s eyes, “be careful okay~”, she stroke mayu’s hair and patted her head softly.
Mayu just noded softly and Finally the old lady could smiled in relieve.
It was like what they promised before. Mayu and yuki just stay for two days, and after that they will leave. And Today was their last day. So, it’s a litle bit sad for oba-chan.
“Yuki..”, Oba-chan released mayu from her hug, and then she throwed her gaze to yuki. “Promise to me that you’ll always stay on mayu’s side and protect her like you’re her own guardian !! ....understands !?”
Oba-chan suddenly shouted and give yuki an dead glare.
“….!!” Yuki felt a little shocked with oba-chan words. “w-what !? me what ?”
In other hand, mayu who listened to oba-chan words somehow blushed for no reason, somehow she felt shy in sudden. “Mou~ Oba-chan…Yamete yo~”
Yuki turned to look at mayu, “Oii.. whats with that blushing-face ? I didn’t take that.. watanabe-san”.
“Yuki..” Oba-chan suddenly trailed on yuki, “Did you not listen to me !?”
“…….!!!”, Yuki suddenly felt an chill in her spine when she look at oba-chan eyes, “Y-Yes..oba-chan.. yes, I promise”. She couldn’t help but to obeyed in oba-chan words this time.
Mayu smiled happily while hearing Yuki’s answer, “Yay !! thanks oba-chan !!” then once again mayu give an big hug to the old lady.
Oba-chan laughed in satisfy, but for yuki.. she felt like she just being tricked by oba-chan and mayu, she’s just looking at them with undisbelieve-stare.
“Maji de~ ?” Yuki mumbled in silence and grumbled to herself.
“yes !! you’re my bodyguard now !!” Mayu pointed on yuki while smirked in no meaning, “like what oba-chan said !! You need to protect me !! You must !!.. do you
understands ? Kashiwagi-san~ ?”
Yuki silenced from mayu’s words.. “why suddenly I felt like you are bossing me, watanabe-san ?”
Mayu smiled and ignoring yuki, “From now… yes I am~”.
“Oii~… the car is ready~”. Suddenly there is an old-voice wich interrupted them at the moment. “Yuki.. Mayu, the car is ready.. we can leave now”. it was the voice from ojii-san. He comes with a bag that filled with bunch of apple in his hands.
“Jii-san ?” mayu surprised with ojii-san presence, especially when she saw what the old-man held in his hand, “jii-san ? what is that ? apple ?”
“Ah~ !! this ?” the old man walked closer to mayu, “this is for you, mayu-chan~”
Mayu widened her eyes while handed the plastic bag from oji-san, “eeh~.. really ? this is for me ? this much ?” mayu looked at ojii-san eyes.. “Thank you so much, ojii-chan~”. She smiled happily while looking at the old-man.
The old-mand laughed at the young girl in front of him, “this is the best quality apple from our garden.. full of vitamin !! mayu-chan.. please be sure sure that you eat this, okay ?”. he patted mayu’s head and then smiled to yuki’s direction.
“Yes.. I’ll eat it.. All of it”. Mayu reacted like a little child wich got a candy from her mother. And surprisingly, she makes all of them.. yuki, oba-chan, and oji-san.. laughed to see her funny act.
Mayu sure has learn a lot from this short moment. Looking at her surroundings.. now she felt like want to cry. Those laughs was real. She tought that maybe this is her first time to stand at a scene like this. A warm of love… a warm of happiness that you got from your friend.. smiling and laughing together. This is sure would be one of the best memories in mayu’s brain from now on.
“Mayu..” Yuki’s voice suddenly bring mayu’s back to reality, “mayu, are you okay ?”
Mayu smiled and noded to yuki, “un.. I’m okay”.
Yuki who concerned about mayu suddenly wondering about something. “I’m okay” that she got from mayu was… different. She didn’t knew if anyone could feel it or not.. but, for yuki… “I’m okay” from mayu was.. felt a bit different. That words like have a different meaning. Its also not the first time she felt like this.. its happened before, and like this time.. those words was resonanced in yuki’s heart. And deep in her heart… yuki could says that, “this girl was lying”.
“Ah !! wait a moment !!” mayu suddenly cutted the scene. “can we take a picture together ?” mayu suddenly took out a small-pocket camera from her bag. “I want to make some memories for us..” she smiled to the others.
Everyone agreeing on mayu’s wish. “Of course.. lets take a picture”. Ojii-chan noded in agree, also for oba-chan.
“okay !! lets take a picture !!” mayu shouted and started to gathering the others, “ojii-chan and oba-chan standing here”, “and then….Yukirin you stand in there”. Mayu brought yukirin to standing beside ojii-san. For the ojii-san and oba-chan.. they were standing at the centre between mayu and yuki.
“ah.. wait !! where is miyuki-san ?” mayu voiced out when she suddenly remembering about miyuki’s presence.
“Oh.. she’s waiting in the car”, ojii-chan replied on mayu.
“wait a moment okay~” mayu walked out and suddenly running into the front door, “I’ll call miyuki-san first !!”.
Leaving the three of them in behind. Yuki, oba-chan, and ojii-chan started to talk about mayu.
“what an energic girl…” it was the ojii-san who’s break the silence, “Yuki-san.. maybe you should smile like her”. The ojii-san diverted her gaze to the raven-haired girl beside him, “Look at mayu.. she’s always smiling everytime”.
Yuki noded softly while hearing what ojii-chan said,. “Y-yes.. thanks, jii-chan”.
“Mayu was a really nice girl… you must protect her, yuki” now its the time for oba-chan who give an advise to yuki.
“Y-yes.. I understands”. Yuki replied shortly.
Yuki felt thankful with oba-chan and ojii-chan words. But for yuki, since long time ago, she has decided about mayu. In yuki’s mind, she didn’t need to be reminded by the others to protecting mayu’s presence. Deep in yuki’s heart, she’s already took herself to stay on mayu’s side..forever. Eversince the first time she landed her eyes on mayu’s presence.. she’s already decided about that.. Even in the outside she put an act like she didn’t care… but in the inside.. she’s always cares about mayu.
Yuki suddenly smiled and laughed softly, and that’s make ojii-chan and oba-chan wondering about her strange behaviour.
“Yuki ?” Oba-chan looked at yuki.
“Ah.. I’m sorry”. Yuki try to look at the ojii-san and oba-chan eyes. “I just felt happy.. I’m sorry”.
Looking at yuki’s strange behaviour somehow makes the ojii-san and oba-chan also laughing together with her.
“That’s nice, yuki-san..” ojii-san suddenly put his hand on yuki’s shoulder, “you look more beauty if you smile like that..”.
Yuki smiled to hear ojii-san words, “Thanks.. Ojii-san”.
“But you still cant beat mayu..” oba-chan suddenly interrupting, “Mayu-chan is more cuter..”
“pfft…”, Yuki suddenly laughed to hear oba-san joke, “me ?.. I think so too, there is no one who can beat mayu on that”.
“Can beat me what ?” suddenly mayu’s voice sounded from yuki’s behind.
Yuki looked back and surprised when she saw mayu was already standing on her back with holding someone hand in her hand. There was miyuki-san who’s now standing beside mayu.
Yuke widened her eyes, “Mayu—“
“Yukirin.. did you badmouthing me on my back !?” mayu trailed on yuki, her eyes was changed into the pierceful one.
“what !? No..i’m not badmouthing you, mayu”. Yuki pulled off didn’t know what she need to say.
“So.. what do you say then ? can beat me what ?” mayu looked to yuki more suspiciously. Her eyes was exploring yuki from top to the bottom. “I cant believe it.. so the rumor was true”.
“rumor ?” yuki frowned her eyebrows didn’t understands, “rumor what ?”
“back in school.. there’s an spread rumor wich says that Kashiwagi yuki was a blackhearted queen”. Mayu changed her eyes to looking-down on yuki. “first, I didn’t believe it… but after I see you badmouthing me in my back… now I believe it”.
“w-what ? me what ?”, Yuki more confussed with the situation in here, “and mayu… I’m not badmouthing you”.
Oba-chan and Ojii-chan cant help but laughed to see these two young girl makes a quarrel with each other. It was cute to see mayu and yuki debated like a two little child.
“Oba-chan.. help me”. Yuki turned her eyes to look at oba-chan, “please keep this hyper girl away from me…” Yuki said while holding mayu’s shoulder to keep her away.
Mayu, in other hands not want to lose, she’s more pressed her body to yuki’s body and still keep blabbering an words that normal preson wouldn’t understands. “mayu !! silence please !! you’re noisy brat !!”
Oba-chan laughed so hard to see these two girl, She’s wondering How cute they are if they’re a real couple.. and suddenly there is an idea struck on her mind.
“Mayu..”, oba-chan suddenly called mayu’s name, “come here..” she’s waved to mayu and called her to come closer.
Hearing that someone had called her name, finally mayu stopped her act on yuki.
“Kashiwagi..” she piercened her eyes on yuki and pull yuki’s shirt to drew more closer onto yuki’s face, “I see what you did.. and don’t take me that I’ll let you go that easy, YUKI-SENPAI~”. She whispered on yuki’s ear and bring yuki trembled in fear.
“Yes ?” mayu then letting go yuki’s shirt and walked closer to oba-chan. “whats wrong oba-chan ?”
Yuki had strucked in silence. She didn’t knew that sometimes mayu could turned into a scary person. She felt a chill when mayu whispering those words right at her ears.
“mayu.. you want to know what yuki saying, right ?”, oba-chan smiled to mayu, “come closer… give me your ear, I wil tell you”.
Mayu showed an blank-face cause didn’t understands, but she choose to obeyed on oba-chan words, “he~.. nani ?”, mayu then draw closer to oba-chan figure so oba-chan can easily whispering her words
“eh ?” yuki just looked at them didn’t understands.
“oba-chan…please don’t say anything weird to mayu..”., Yuki expanded when she saw mayu who suddenly changed her expressions after oba-chan whispering something to her.
Oba-chan still whispering onto mayu’s ear. Mayu smirked for a while.. and then suddenly she blushed out of sudden, “Eeeh !!?”, She diverted her gaze onto yuki, didn’t believe with what she hear, “Y-Yukirin…. d-did you really said that ?”, mayu stuttered and cant look at yuki’s figure directly.
“What ?”, yuki pretended to not really concerned about mayu,
“Yukirin~..”, Mayu’s eyes sparkling brightly. “I didn’t know that.. you looked me in that kind of way”. Mayu still blushed cause shy.
Yuki frowned, “.. eh ? what do you mean ? what way ?..”
Mayu laughed a bit, “no need to be shy, yukirin~. Just admit it.. I’m okay about that”.
“w-wait.. what do you mean ?”, yuki then diverted her gaze to oba-chan, “oba-chan what did you say to mayu ?”
Oba-chan just smirked, “I’m just saying what are you said before, yuki~…”
Yuki widened her eyes, she then looked at mayu, “Trust me, mayu… what oba-chan says is different with what I said earlier. I didn’t know what inside your head, but you must—“ Yuki stopped in the middle of her words cause suddenly mayu pulled her collar.
Mayu smiled softly in front of yuki’s face, “you have a dirty imagination, yukirin~”. Mayu piercened her eyes, “I didn’t know that you have imagining me all the time.. and those all of dirty minds of you…should be erased !!”. Mayu said in cold-tone and then after it she released yuki’s collar. Leaving yuki widened her eyes cause shocked.
“Okay~ now, lets take a picture !!”, mayu said happily.
Yuki leaving stunned in her place. Still cannot proseccing what acutally happened, she just widened her eyes while accepting her bad-fate.
“Yuki, don’t just stood in there.. you want to take a picture with us or not ?”. oba-chan said and bring yuki back to reality.
“A-ah.. yes”. Yuki then walked slowly to the other.
“Okay, guys.. prepare yourself”. Mayu proclaimed as she was close to managing her camera, “okay~ ready”. She then walked to the others.
“In 10 counts.. and say “cheese” okay ?” mayu said ordering to the others.
“Okay.. 10.. 9..8..7”, everyone counting together, “6..5..4..3..2…1—“
“Cheese !!!” everone said in union and give their best smile in front of te camera.

A couple hour after that.
In the midway of their next journey to Kyoto..
Inside the car.
“Mayu stop eating, please… it was your 10th apple”, yuki awarned the girl who sat at the back seat,
Mayu stooped her eating, “I want to stop… but this apple is the one who forced me to eat, yukirin~”, mayu give a lame excuse, “I cant help about that…they calling me to eat them, yukirin”
One of the two girl who sat in the front seat suddenly laughed after hearing mayu’s lame excuse. It was miyuki who laughed at it… and she was the one who driving the car.
Yuki who also sat on the front seat suddenly turned back and facing onto mayu, “Don’t give me those lame excuse, watanabe-san~… now, give me those plastic-bag. You should stop..now”.
“yadda !! don’t want !!” mayu try to defended her apple.
“jeez, don’t picking on me, mayu…. give me those apple or—“
“or what !?”
Mayu still reprimand on her state, and she will not given up on yuki. in the other sides, yuki also didn’t want to lose to mayu.. And like we could expecting from this scene. They make quarrel again with each other.
Looking at these two girl who almost fight with each other, miyuki-san cant help but to stop them before it happened for real. “Okay..okay~.. stop fighting, girls”.
Mayu and yuki suddenly stopped after hearing miyuki command.
“Okay.. now, you two listen to me. I’m driving the car.. so I need to concentrate on my driving. So, mayu-chan and also.. yuki-chan, can you help me with not making any noisy ?”
“But, miyuki-san… yukirin is the first one who start it.” mayu throwing her false onto yuki.
“Okay~.. okay, I understands. Now you two listen to me, mayu.. you give the apple to yuki, now.”
Mayu cannot arguing back to miyuki, so she obeyed her words, and give those plastic bag of apple to yuki.
“look mayu-chan, yuki-chan is concerned about you… she didn’t want you to sick because eating too much apple, okay ? the truth is she worried about you~..”
The kashiwagi-girl silenced to hear miyuki words. She blushing secretly on her seat. it was embarassing for yuki that someone can read her real intention on mayu.
“eh ? is that true, yuki-senpai ? you worried about me ?” mayu asked and her eyes was sparkling brightly.
“i-in your imagination, watanabe-san.. h-how can I worried about you. Y-you must be joking”. Yuki stuttered in her words and feels more embarassed about that.
Mayu smiling softly. “ck, tsundere..”
Yuki just looked away and ignoring any contact eyes with mayu.
“Okay~, we all clear now.” miyuki sighed and closing the quarrel between mayu and yuki.
A moment later.
“Nee~, miyuki-san… can I ask some question ? I have some thought that always disturbing me all the time.” Yuki try to opened some conversation. And makes miyuki and mayu started to pay attention to her.
“hemm.. iiyo~. What do you want to ask ?”.
“Emm~..why Ojii-chan and Oba-chan was so kind to me and mayu ? too kind if could say…its a bit unreasonable for me that they can act so kind with a stranger like us”.
Mayu somehow wondering about what yuki said before. Yuki was right, it’s a bit weird for them that they was too kind with her. they are stranger.
“yes.. I’m also curious about that.” Mayu try to join the conversation, “we are stranger… and we makes a lot of bother for ojii-chan and oba-chan.. but, they act like it was nohing happened. They were too kind with us”.
Miyuki suddenly chuckled softly to hear that, “hemm~… why they act to kind with you two ?” miyuki repeated the questions from mayu and yuki. “hemm~.. I’m also wondering about that.. its a bit rare to see them being kind with stranger”. Miyuki laughed softly and stopped at the moment.
“Deshou !?” mayu interupted.
Miyuki laughed softly, “Actually they was not doing nothing. My father and mother… they said like they could see their past from just looking at you two. You two remind them with their past memories when they still young”.
“Past memories when they still young ?”, mayu asked didn’t understands, and also yuki too.
“Yup..when they were young, they said they was like you two.” Miyuki laughed softly, “Running away from home, and then travelling together arround the country, and even pretending to be a blood-related sister”. Miyuki try to hold her laugh. “yeah~… they were same like you two. So, when they saw you two.. they feels like they see their past young-ages”.
After hearing Miyuki’s story, suddenly mayu and yuki blushed cause embarassement. So, after all this time… oba-chan and ojii-chan was already knew about their running-away secret.
“W-wait.. there is some mistake, miyuki-san.” Yuki try to make clear this matter so there will be no misundertands between them. Especially she didn’t want any misunderstanding about the realthionship between her and mayu. “B-but… I and mayu..not—“
“Psst..”, Miyuki smiled and put her finger on her own mouth, making a “psst..” gesture. “Easy, girls. I will never tell anyone about this.”, miyuki winked to yuki and mayu.
“oh~, and I’m also hope that your journey will filled with full of happines. And maybe…in the end, you two could be ended like my parents”. Miyuki said and laughed teasingly.
Mayu and yuki just blushed and looked away to hide their face. Hearing all of those things make they feels very embarassed in sudden.
Mayu and yuki… there they are
This journey is still yet crossed their heart. Its still 5 days since their start. What the 5days can do for their heart ? especially for yuki who still have undecidable feeling inside her heart. Yuki still have a doubt with what she feel, even she knew that there is a bloomed feeling inside her heart, she still try to denie that. Watanabe mayu.. a noisy-hyper typical girl that yuki actually hate.. she’s aware with that. But aside from that… little by little.. she can feel that this typical mayu-girl is the one who can broke her defense end entering her wall-heart.
Prepare yourself guys !! because the next story is kyoto !!!
