One day after the announcement that Hall-of-Fame manager Sparky Anderson was placed in hospice, we now get news of his death due to "complications from dementia."

He always seemed ancient even though he helmed the Big Red Machine in his thirties. Heck he was only FORTY FIVE (45) when he landed the Detroit Tigers job.

Sad news just got sadder...
