Hitachi eyes TV remote in the brain

Forget the TV remote: There is a new technology that lets you control electronic devices simply by reading brain activity.
The brain-machine interface, developed by Hitachi Inc., analyzes slight changes in the brain's blood flow and translates that motion into electric signals.
Hitachi's scientists are ready to develop a brain-triggered TV remote that allow users to turn the set on and off and change channels by thought alone.
Honda, whose gadget uses a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine like those used in hospitals, is keen to apply the interface in intelligent, next-generation automobiles.

It would be good to own one but the real issue here is the price. Some cool gadgets are way too expensive to own.
