I hope the girls weren't humiliated like the Morning Musume candidates from that failed audition.

I'm really surprised Misa wasn't chosen, didn't someone say she was a lock? I honestly thought she was the "chosen one" who would bring balance back to the ~~force~~ group.

no new members... i kinda feel like the whole candidates and voting stuff was just to put more pressure to the girls and not sure why because they surely try hard all the time... and i thought tsunku was the only one allowed to troll this kind of process lol

Last month I wrote an entry in my cheesy PASSPO blog about the candidates: "After watching their debut performance, I actually thought of the infamous Morning Musume audition – the one where none of the finalists were chosen."

I didn't really think it would happen though, just because that can look really messed up and backfire on a group. I wonder if this means the candidates are going to be released from the agency. It seems like it would be an awkward relationship now. "Sorry you didn't make the group, but you can still work at Noodol Cafe". The only way it would have worked out is if it was announced that although none of the girls would join PASSPO, they would form a new group instead (this idea has been suggested before, I'm just repeating it as a possibility). It doesn't seem like that happened though... but if it did I'll just edit all of this out, hehe.

Ai's tweet is interesting because it seems that she is admitting that management gave them an ultimatum to prove the group can exist as a 9 member unit, although they were going to proceed with an audition. If that was the case, the "audition" should have been behind the scenes. From day one they made it clear that the vote wouldn't be the final say in which girl/girls would join, but I think it was obvious fans were supposed to believe that at least one would join. The audition and fan voting seems a lot more disingenuous now.

mmmm i was thinking a bit more about it and certainly i agree with the ones that say it wasn't time for new members but maybe the reason i was dissapointed that no one joined the group is because they forced the fans to buy the release in order to vote, then that vote have a cost and if nothing happens then it feels ankward... so yeah i agree with @qwiks that this should have been behind the scenes because if you remember those failed momusu auditions it forced to keep the search until koharu appeared but in this case is more like oh well no one joins, thanks for nothing.

Is my phone messed up or are there a bunch of He-Man videos in this thread... or is this like a pre-April Fools thing. Hmm, I wonder if the election was an April Fools joke.

I think once they decided on the cd ballot, they forced themselves to choose at least one member. Anyone who bought multiple copies of PASSPO's last single is going to feel burned. Although based on their sales, I don't think anyone did *zing*

I don't really know if this will damage the group, but I think distributing free ballots to fans at their concerts and events would have been a better way to go about it, regardless of whether they chose anyone or not.

Hi there!

The girls were at Shibuya station yesterday and were doing a campaign against perverts/molesters on trains, they were handing out flyers and tissues. I've been looking for an article online about it but the only place I've found with information is that video and the photos from their blogs.

I wish it was reported since it's a great cause.
