Gouhou Lolita Syndrome (more commonly called Lolisyn, occasionally written in English as Legal Lolita Syndrome, or abbreviated in numbers as 564) is one of those breed of metal idol groups. They mostly play shows with similar groups of that type - Zekkyou Suru 60-do, Next Shoujo Jiken, Guso Drop etc.

They originally formed from the remnants of a group called 〓しましまSPANK〓 and still perform their songs. They started with two members, Rina and Natsumi, who were in the group from 2013.8.1-2014.3.16. They then replaced them with two new members Hiro and Haru, who both started on 2014.3.13. They also have a 3rd member, Rinen, who is only 13, and so not legal, so when they perform with her (which is rarely) they call themselves "Gouhou Lolita Syndrome Kai". They also sometimes play with a live band called Slipperknot

They've released one single "four session" in 2013 which contains "four session", "My Precious Life", and "Kyoakunaru Croissant". And also a limited mini-EP "LEGENDE" which contains those three songs, three 〓しましまSPANK〓 songs and the overtures of both groups.

Their live performances are really fun, and their fans are pretty crazy, and yes, Lolisyn are the kind of group who will stand on your face in chekis with you if you ask them to.

Most vids online are of the old line-up, but this is one of their current lineup performing Croissant, their most poppy song...

Overall I rate it "fucking awesome"  :twothumbs

It was initially weird hearing the songs without crowd noises, and without the off-key live vocals. But it's a fantastic release. From the cover art, the whole packaging and I really love the music.

They include a full lyric booklet - and I never realised before, but most of the lyrics are in English! It sounds like they originally wrote them in Japanese and stuck them through google translate though  :lol:

The vocals here are also auto-tuned to fuck. But that doesn't really matter.

Track 2 (the one with the long title) is an old song they always play at lives, I actually didn't realise that song wasn't already released - it's kindof a classic to me.

So, Lolisyn made it to the finals of the Tokyo Candoll competition (to perform at France as part of Japan Expo), but sadly only made 3rd place... all the previous rounds were fan voting of audience at the show but the finals was a judging panel...

I wish I knew how to record those livestreams for the semi-finals, as that performance was awesome, they did an 8-song medley in 20mins. I haven't properly watched this one yet...


In other news, Haru accidentally slipped (and so then the manager had to confirm) on twitter that 2nd gen are releasing their 2nd single 『independent』 on the 4th August.

Shame they didn't make it to Paris, so I won't see them in July (and it would have been an awesome trip for them, Hiro wanted to perform Croissant under the Eiffel Tower), but a second single is good news!

I think it was quite nice. Showed the fans during the crowd a lot, which is always fun, and a bit of buppan. And I like it when the two hosts tried to join in the crowd. Funny how Haru is into rock but Hiro into idol music...

^ It's  rarely ever performed! It's on their "Road to Sekigahara" DVD though. In that one (and the one time I saw them perform it live) Hiro walked out into the middle of the crowd, and the crowd all ran around her, rather than them staying on stage and running round in a circle and the crowd running round in a different circle. Like Croissant, it has it's own special MIX, too.

Their producer tweeted about them going on some surprise "summer training camp", and Haru and Hiro's tweets were like "we don't know where we're going"... and now they are in France...

...and they lost the Tokyo Candoll Japan Expo competition, and aren't on the schedule at all for Japan Expo... and their next live in Japan is on Sunday (they are performing from the 5th-16th July straight...

...so, I don't really know  :panic:

Unless they are just going to speak with the Japan Expo organisers they might make a special surprise appearance...  :panic:

edit: oh, well, their manager replied to me saying they aren't performing... so that's a kindof panic over  :nervous

There was another livestream today (2015/07/21) at Shinjuku ReNY. For the Fivestars competition to send a group to Japan, Expo, LA. Lolisyn aren't competing, just guests at the event. So I uploaded it:

Saw them last night and they were great

But I really liked another metal performer at the show called "Code of Zero" it was pretty much straight up metal-core with no idol-bits she was super cute though.
I can't really seem to find anything about her so I assume she's new, she also only had two songs so she sang one of them twice (she sang in English).

^ Eh? No, I've seen chekis from the other fans from that show. They were also doing stuff like signing the glowsticks. They also tweeted their normal group pic with the fans afterwards also...

Guess you missed it due to timings... buppan (product sales) is normally after the show but they normally also post a buppan timetable for these shows with lots of groups, as sometimes it is during when other acts are performing...

Oh they did it inside where the stage was, I went outside in the lobby and bar areas and didn't see anything so I just left - guess I should just have stuck around

Oh well I would have liked that Lolisyn T-shirt it's pretty cool and ofc I would have bought the "0 fucks given" shirt from Code of Zero as well, but I think I already bought too much stuff I may have to buy a bigger suitcase. To be honest I would probably have bought a whole lot of other stuff since I liked many of the groups.

Nope, the one who beat Chu-Z was this one: 長内映里 (Osanai Eri). Lolisyn wasn't in that competition.

So Lolisyn finished their 3 days of lives in LA. I think the whole Japan Expo had a really poor turnout, kindof how was discussed in this forum about how badly the event was advertised/promoted. I think the lack of crowd probably surprised the bigger acts more. For Lolisyn, I think they had a bunch of fun and the people in LA who saw them liked them. The 3 Japanese fans who went seemed to have a bunch of fun with the American fans and stuff as well. So I hope they view the whole trip as a success!

^ that snoopy theme park is called Knott's Berry Farm  :D it's cool that they got to do stuff like this. i wasn't able to attend the expo because i work on the weekends, but the few fans that were there seemed to enjoy it  :D

Well, they've announced the graduation of Hiro and Halu...

Final live will be on 28th February 2016.

Just before their 2nd anniversary... Well, this 2nd gen have lasted 2 years compared to 1st gens 1 year. I don't know if they will change the members around after then and carry on Lolisyn, or whether PAC Idol Project are going to shift focus onto the other groups they are running now.

I'm still in shock, and it's really sad. Their graduation will be almost a year after Jun left (Armor Girls/Kamen Joshi) so, maybe that time of the year is just when I lose my favourite idols. Hmm...

They will hold their graduation live in Twinbox Akiba, with another show that morning (and graduation shows the previous weeks in Nagoya and Osaka). I'll try and attend the final one, I guess...

You already knew that groups/idols often have a short lifespan, it's part of why I'm coming to Japan more often than I should - I'm still pretty sad that I missed the two girls that left PASSPO.

It's been ages since I've posted in here, so I may as well update...

First I'll write some personal stuff, then some general news etc...


So well, after their graduation announcement, about a week before Xmas I decided to fuck it, and went to spend Xmas/New Year with Lolisyn. This was a great decision - it was an amazing trip. 12 days of continuous Lolisyn lives. I think I saw them 14 times, and I didn't even go to all of their shows... It seemed a hell of a lot more than my September trip, where I did 9 Lolisyn shows. Probably because there weren't any days off here. It's great as a fan to go at a time when there are a lot of public holidays so you can see so many shows of your favourite group. The Lolisyn fans are also really friendly and welcoming, even despite the language barrier. I'll be back for their last live on the 28th...


In the last few months, they've started a PAC Idol Project super-group called Secret7x (you don't pronounce the X) consisting of Lolisyn, all of Candy||Stripe Neo, and two (out of five) from Princess Garden ~Himeniwa~. They do songs from all three groups (I think only Croissant from Lolisyn) and also Nerve. At first I wasn't into it, but now I am. The main selling point is their outfits... Lolisyn pretty much only wear t-shirt + trousers, but Secret7x they get to wear this sexy oufit with skirt + stockings. That zettai ryouiki...

For some reason I had a hard time finding a photo with all 7 of them together... and yeah, it doesn't look as good in the picture as I make out... but cheki-kai with them is really good...


Anyway, so Lolisyn have started their grad tour. They had a successful final one-man in Nagoya, with a good turn-out!

Fans gave them these awesome chibi stand things! And flowers. And made stickers out of those characters.

Since the Nagoya one-man, they've been to their last in Sendai, and in a couple weeks will go to Osaka for their final one-man there, and then their final on the 28th in Tokyo (three shows, last taiban, last two-man, last one-man)

Not surprised there's a 3rd gen. One of them tweeted a photo from 2nd gen's grad show, so it's been planned for a while. Funny that 2 members are from the same defunct idol group... listening to Gekidol on youtube

I had also been thinking if they were going to move members across from the other PAC Idol Project groups, but didn't think any were suitable apart from Zero, whose songs are the same style as Lolisyn, but she's too busy in her other project(s). The others wouldn't fit really. Five is a lot of members though, that's as many members as Lolisyn has had in total until now. I wonder if they will actually recruit 2 new ones, Princess Garden wanted to expand from 5 to 7, but only hired one new member...

What I'm glad about Lolisyn continuing is that their songs don't die. There's about a dozen unreleased ones.

As for me, it will likely be like me and AP from now on. Keeping half an eye open to what they are upto. Seeing them maybe a few times in the future, but just standing at the back, not going to buppan etc.


Well, it's kept my mind off wondering when Hiro is going to return to twitter/instagram after she stopped posting a few days ago...

They were meant to debut tomorrow but were the "secret opening act" at Ryoka (Princess Garden -himeniwa-)'s seitansai today.

I guess there's been a lot of member changes recently, too:

The 4th member was https://twitter.com/IWACHA2780 who was quite a well known cosplayer. But sells gemstones and stuff as well.

But then, just as the 5th member was announced, Wakapiku quit. Three days before debut date. Citing creative differences.

So they did their sneak debut today and surprisingly, were a 5-piece, with Rinka https://twitter.com/rinka1766 from Candy||Stripe Neo (another PAC Idol Project Group) as the 5th member. Seems like Rinka's addition was only finalised in the morning (she tweeted about going to an audition) and she was stay concurrent with Lolisyn REBOOT and Candy||Stripe Neo.

(For me this is odd, cuz Rinka is the one I cheered for in CandyStripe, so odd to see her wearing Hiro's colour T-shirt in Reboot. Hmm, I don't really know what to make of it all.)


In related news, today was the last live of Secret2x (who were the remains of Secret7x, the PAC Idol Project supergroup) who performed some Lolisyn songs amongst others. They will reboot as Killed In Sadness (KISS) (Ryoka and Ayaka) and perform 3 original songs, as well as the Lolisyn songs Fake, 開花宣戦, Croissant, and Croissant 2. So with REBOOT, there will be two groups doing Lolisyn songs...

^ Yeah, from all the chekis/twitter pics I've seen, REBOOT don't seem to wear the cover-alls +group t-shirt like old Lolisyn used to. It's all things like this. Maybe always the same outfit so far? I dunno, Iwacha didn't wear those tights at first.

Hmm, apparently KISS are going to do "Eien no Labyrinth" and "Punk Death Spank" from now on. PAC Producer was on about how Lolisyn songs are now split between Reboot and KISS. Those two songs are actually originally 〓しましまSPANK〓 songs. And, I didn't know this, but Ryoka does the other 〓しましまSPANK〓 song "輝ヲ君ニ" as one of her solo songs.

My first time seeing anything from REBOOT. Hmm, the crowd at Sekigahara look absolutely nuts. Iwacha seems to stand around not moving at all. They don't headbang at all or seem to have any energy compared to 2nd gen. Bringing back the megaphone from 1st gen is a nice touch. Why does Rinka have two mics? Anyway, #teamrinkachin, I'm proud of Rinka for performing on such a big stage. She seems to have given it the most energy and everything there.

I must admit - at first I didn't want to like REBOOT purely out of fondness for Hiro & Halu. I cannot say that i dislike REBOOT without lying. Having said that, I really do prefer the cover-alls, because if nothing else it helped to diferentiate them from other metal idol groups. Visually, now, REBOOT doesn't seem any different than DISDOL or NECRONOMIDOL for example (other than those groups each have a member who paints her face in some way). I do like that there is 5 members, though - it spreads the workload out more if you know what I mean (although it seems that no one is able to hit those really high notes  :sweatdrop: )

But I have to admit that I think i prefer Killed In Sadness more, since, as Jul3 mentioned, they are more Lolisyn than REBOOT, but also because they do Croissant  :cool1:  :mon roll: :kickass:

So Halu's post-Lolisyn group Psycho Predator went on indefinite hiatus a few weeks ago cuz Rin was too ill to continue (or something like that).

Anyway, Halu has gone solo now, under the name of Diable Voix, and debuted today! She is releasing a 4-track single on 2017/06/15.
