A Pink (에이핑크)is a seven-member South Korean girl group under A Cube Entertainment. They debuted on April 19, 2011 with the EP Seven Springs of A Pink, and rose steadily in popularity.

My thoughts of the perf. Props for all of them singing live. The song is catchy and they already seem to have a decent fanbase (based on the fan chants). The outfits could be better, bit too plain for my taste.

I have loved A Pink for months but only just thought to check out what had been posted here about them. (Am I an idiot or what?? Just a slow learner I guess!) Of course, as always, there is some stuff! And naturally, since it started with asses, it started here with daigong... of course!! :D :twisted:

That pic is one of my favourite of any from A Pink. You know, there's not one of those girls whose legs are not amazing! And of course, their asses to match (would be able to judge the ass-quality better if they were wearing a little less, like those silver hotpants they have been wearing more recently, but the legs there totally do it for me. I wonder if that pic is available in higher quality?
Despite our liking for asses, yes, daigong, I agree that it's definitely preferred when you can tell which is the girl's ass and which is her face. So, yeah, no danger of any such confusion with our A Pink babes!! And why did I pick on this pic? Mmmmmm... don't you just love it when girls hold hands? I so totally loved their first PV, with the guy from Beast (I think it was?) - yes, that old style look is totally appealing to me. I'm actually loving the look of some of the recent PVs coming out of Korea - that one from Secret where they have the balloon station is another (I forget the title).
Bomi totally does it for me, btw... she looks so innocent, and she's just turned 18 so the perfect age; but I bet she has a deep dark side. At least, she does in my dreams. Mmmmmm...

I totally agree with you :D In fact, it seems like A pink are getting some anti fans because people think that they are just flat out copying snsd's style, which is a shame. I am a SONE, and only recently learnt of A pink, and i really like them. Cant wait to see what they do in the future.

YEAAA NaEun is going to be on We Got Married! I'd prefer seeing an actor be paired with NaEun but whatever at least I have a reason to watch WGM again :D
Although there is still no word directly from ‘We Got Married‘, reps from the respective agencies of SHINee‘s Taemin and A Pink‘s Na Eun have confirmed the rumors of the two being the new couple on the show!
Taemin’s reps revealed to various media outlets, “Taemin will be appearing on a variety show for the first time [as a fixed member]… He’ll be able to show you a side you haven’t seen on stage,” as well as “Taemin and Na Eun have become the new couple of ‘We Got Married’… They’re currently filming at the cafe from ‘Introduction to Architecture’. As it is his first filming, Taemin is very nervous and excited.”
Na Eun’s reps also confirmed, “She went to attend the first filming at Jeju Island… She found out that she would be coupled up with Taemin after she arrived at the filming location.”

Yeah the show hasn't been good for awhile IMO but Na-Eun is my favorite kpop idol so I guess I'll at least check out an episode or two. She has a quietish personality though so I hope it doesn't turn into the Yongseo couple kinda thing where it's just awkward all the time. I like Shinee too but honestly I don't really care which dude they cast lol. I think if they paired her with an actor it'd be pretty weird as she's still quite young, and I don't know if there are any teen actors that I'd want to see her with. Maybe Yoo Seungho but he just went into the army.

In a bit of shocking news, it’s been revealed that A Pink‘s Yookyung will be leaving the group.
A Cube Entertainment announced through a press release, “We first want to apologize to all the fans for having to deliver news of this nature. Yookyung, who debuted on April 19th of 2011 and received a lot of love while shedding tears and smiling with many fans over the past 2 years, will no longer be with us as an A Pink member.”
“Yookyung has always tried her best since her debut and has been a hard working member. After debating for a long time between continuing as a celebrity and focusing on her studies, as well as the other six members’ futures, Yookyung and her agency have made this very hard decision,” the agency continued, and added, “As Yookyung will be entering university this year, she will no longer be A Pink’s Yookyung, but a student like others her age. Please support her and her future.”
A Pink, which debuted in 2011 with “Seven Springs of A Pink“, are currently preparing for a comeback, although it is unknown how Yookyung’s departure will affect their plans.

I kinda wish they didn't add a new member, at least the way the article is translated makes it seem like that's definitely not a definite thing yet though.
There's this bit of controversy http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.com/2013/04/bestiz-yookyungs-father-tweets-about.html (http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.com/2013/04/bestiz-yookyungs-father-tweets-about.html) where it seems like she might not have left voluntarily...although her dad is being vague about it. It's also possible she just didn't tell him about it until recently, although I don't know why that would be. I think her quitting/giving her notice a month or so ago makes sense though, since that was around when they were supposed to release their comeback. I think it's possible that they were going to come back around March/early April as was rumored and then her deciding to leave shook up those plans.

I really don't know what to think of the situation but there are rumors that Yookyung is planning to study in the US and it is plausible because all US acceptance are in March and April. Either way, I am glad they released the news about a week after the nineteenth, because the 2nd anniversary could have easily been ruined.

[Interview] What is pretending? Girl group A-Pink’s Dorm Tour
There’s always a fantasy of a girl group’s dorm.
In the living room there are charming furniture displayed, in their bedrooms you can smell proper and delicate aroma, their closet would be filled with hundreds of clothes, bags, shoes, and what not. However, here was a lot different.
In their wide living room, there were exercise machines, massage electronics, exercise hula hoop. Following the main door, the shoe closet was filled with sneakers.
Rather than a girl group’s dorm, the atmosphere felt like a female athlete team’s house, which made disappointed me (the reporter) momentarily. Chatting with A Pink - composed of six members, for 2 hours, their outgoing or even too much outgoing personalities made me (the reporter) fall for their charms. In 2011, the A Pink girls that debuted with fairy images that had become like six silly, younger sisters, we had made a surprise visit to their dormitory.

Their new dorm faces the streets of “young people” Hongdae, located in Seokyo-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It’s been over two months since the girls moved here, where the majority of nation’s top stars hang around. About 60 square meters, the residence is pretty big and pleasant for the 6 members to live in. The members’ clothes and shoes alone, takes up much room outside and so the rest of their belongings are stored in the storage room. Their rooms were assigned fairly by ‘rock, paper, scissors’ where the oldest girls; Park Chorong (22yrs*), Yoon Bomi and Jung Eunji (both 20yrs) are in the master bedroom and Son Naeun (19yrs) and Oh Hayoung (17) together are sharing a room. Kim Namjoo (18) has her own room. * age listed as international age
SS: Shouldn’t the leader have her own room with regards to being the oldest?
PCR: There is no rule of seniors. We just arranged it fairly by ‘rock, paper, scissors’. Hoho. It’s interesting for us, the maknaes are lucky with choosing the rooms. Last time, Hayoung had her own room.
SS: What happens if there are conflicts with the roommates?
YBM: Ahew~ everyone is friendly to each other. Also, because we share a room together doesn’t mean that the roommates are especially more friendly. Usually when we come home, we gather and hang out in the living room and only sleep in our rooms. We thought about switching rooms but moving our own belongings were difficult so we gave up.
SS: There must be a time where you want to use your own room, it must be hard for the three roommates.
JEJ: When we come back home during our promotions, we’re busy washing up and going to bed. It is a little bit difficult. One time Bomi thought it would be cozy wrapping herself with our curtain. She even put a little lamp inside. When I was tired, I would yell at her, “Hey, turn that off!” haha.
SS: Your house is really clean for six people living in this place. Did you purposely clean your dorm because of the dorm tour?
SNE: Actually, we have a house-cleaning lady that comes once a week and she came by yesterday, fortunately. I think it’s because this dorm is bigger than our last one, but when the dorm is dirty, it’s noticeable now so we do clean (it) together. But our wall is really empty right? We can’t insert nails in these walls so we have to hang up ropes in order to display our pictures from our fans.

Girl group’s life consists of ‘V’ line face and ‘S’ line body, we thought that they don’t have meals in their dorms, assuming that diets are their daily routines. On contrast to what we thought, A Pink says they frequently eat home meals. All thanks to the oldest unnie Chorong, who properly cooks home made meals. The rest of the members also enjoy cooking so time to time. Especially for breakfast, the six members take their turns preparing the meal.
SS: How do you prepare breakfast?
YBM: Breakfast is simple so it’s easy to prepare. We usually eat chicken breast, eggs, sweet potatoes, etc. We’re preparing for our comeback these days so we eat breakfast at home almost every day.
OHY: Chorong unnie is really good at cooking. Last time on Bomi unnie’s birthday, she made seaweed soup, japchae, seasoned brailed chicken all by herself.
KNJ: Doesn’t (Chorong) unnie make good sweet potatoes dish? On rainy days, she makes kimchi pancakes and zucchini pancakes too.
SS: Chorong, this is an unexpectant skill!
PCR: My mother is good at cooking so I learned it from doing it with her. These days, Naeun really enjoys cooking. She comes in the kitchen often and tries to make something.
SS: We heard that girl groups compete on their outfits and hairstyles.
SNE: Our styles are delicately different and so interestingly, it doesn’t overlap with others. I really like black, grey, khaki and other dark colours. Hayoung likes dark colours too but her style is neat and feminine.
JEJ: Bomi dresses uniquely; her leggings are tyrannosaurs, skulls, a red dragon… she really displays the Disney World on her legs.

On April 2011, A Pink who entered the entertinment industry with “I Don’t Know”, followed by ”It Girl”, “My My”, “HUSH”, and “BUBIBU”, have all made these cute and lovable songs a hit. During these times, the members have also grown up as well. At their debut days, exculding Park Chorong, members Yoon Bomi, Jung Eunji, Son Naeun, Kim Namjoo were high school students, and maknae Oh Hayoung was a middle school student. Now, four out of the six members are adults. Son Naeun features on MBC “We Got Married” paired up with SHINee’s Taemin as spouses, making and enjoying a happy and pretty newly wed’s life.
SS: The members (Yoon Bomi, Jung Eunji, Son Naeun) who have become adults, how do you feel? Have you learned to drink alcohol?
YBM: If I was at school, drinking and playing, I think I would be able to feel it and say, “I’m an adult too!” but I’m not sure yet. For alcohol I’ve drank with the company family, but not to the point I was drunk. Naeun is probably feeling good. She got married as soon as she became an adult. Haha.
SNE: Yes~ I’m married and I have a husband now, it’s… good.
SS: Eunji, while filiming SBS “That Winter When the Wind Blows” did you drink with Jo Insung?
JEJ: I did, heheh. Insung oppa frequently arranged get-together dinners. When the filming was done, we all monitored our drama and during that we drank. It was fun.
SS: What do you usually do when you’re gathered together at home?
YBM: We like watching movies. It’s really nice that we all live together. We talk very loud and eat while watching so it’s more fun. Last time I was sleeping and I heard a wailing sound. I went out to see and it was Naeun and Namjoo watching a movie and crying. Hayoung was also crying as well. I don’t know how much they were crying it looked like they were having difficulties in breathing.
KNJ: That day we were watching “Miracle in Number 7 Cell”. It was so sad. We like sad movies. Last time we atched “Gak Seol Tang” and poured our eyes out.

Despite their lives not having to be same and freely as other people in their age, the six members have fun living together in the same dorm like an all-girls school. In the beginning of their debut, their title of “fairy-dols” was momentairly, They have a characteristic of not pretendning, rather honest and outgoing personalities so laughter never ends in their dormitary.
SS: If there is a bug, who usually catches it?
JEJ: I usually catch everything. Cockroaches are pretty big so I have to wear shoes. Did you know? For mosquitos, if you just catch them with your hands and shake it, it’ll faint and die, hehe. Hayoung also catches bugs well.
SS: Who takes the longest in the shower?
YBM: It’s Eunji. For this girl, I don’t know what she does. She sings and takes forever.
JEJ: I like taking baths, that’s why. One time I fell asleep during my bath, I woke up with my body swollen and a cold. It was awful.
SS: Who is the most popular among the boy idols?
YBM: These days I think it’s Naeun. But I heard it all as a rumour (laughs), there was nobody that came up personally and confessed.

A Pink received good results in their individual activities as well. Jung Eunji caught her career as an actress through tvN “Reply 1997” (2012) and SBS “That Winter, the Wind Blows” (2013). As well as Son Naeun who featured in SBS “The Great Seer”, JTBC “Childless Comfort”, challening in her acting skills and now featuring in “WGM”. How did the other members watch them?
SS: Eunji, you’re probably the only nation actress that hit and swore at Jo Insung.
JEJ: Actually because of “That Winter…”, I was worried that I was going to get millions of anti-fans in not only Korea, but from other Asia country as well. The members cheering on for me was my best encouragement. One night I came back home from “That Winter..” filming and Chorong unnie who was watching the drama said to me while pointing at the screen, “Oh, that person is here”. Hayoung was watching “Reply 97” kiss scene and texted me, “Unnie, what is that? How can you do that?”
SS: Naeun, you’re living a married life with Taemin, way ahead from your unnies.
SNE: The filming is once every 2 weeks and it’s really fun. [Taemin] oppa asks me what I want to do and he takes care of me. To tell you the truth, I’ve never dated before so I was curious how it would turn out during broadcast. But in it, I’m shy and unable to express my feelings. It’s interesting to see me like that. And I don’t have many fears, I even bungee jumped.
SS: If the other members were on “WGM” who would you want to be with?
KNJ: Um… I don’t know if I can see this. I’ve always been Onew subae fan. I’ve been fan since our debut so maybe once?
SNE: Oh? He’s my brother-in-law. Haha
YBM: I’m a huge fan of tvN “SNL Korea”. I want to be a couple with Shin Dongyeop senior.
OHY: I really like this actor but he’s an actor that I can’t approach, actor Lee Minki. I like Seo Taehoon that comes out on “Gag Concert” as well.
PCR: I’m a huge fan of Rain senior. When we went to his concert, our company representative allowed us to meet and greet him. I shook his hand and my hands were shaking so much.

Was the digital album pushed back too? From what I've read it seemed like there was a printing error or something for the physical CD and that's why it got pushed back...So hopefully the digital album will still get released on time >_<.

Yeaaah~ I got to see A Pink at the Korea times music festival!!! They performed LUV, Mr Chu, and NoNoNo. Lookswise pretty much look like how they do in pictures lol. Sometimes people can look a little different in person, so that's why I mention that. Namjoo and Naeun spoke some english too so that was great to hear. I got to hold Bomi's hand for like 1 sec *o* and it was nice and sweaty. Firm grip too. Naeun touched my hand too. I got Chorong's attention for like a sec too when I called out her name hehe. At the end of the concert they were pretty much being A Pink and being stupid XD. I caught some of it on video, sadly my phone died, so I couldn't capture all of it. Overall experience was great! I L O V E Luv A Pink a bit more now.

Not bad! Only problem I have with the song is that transition from Eunji's part to Bomi's. It just feels too sudden/drastic? dunno if that's the right words to explain it.

Alright I just got back from LA concert so it's time for my shitty fan accounts!! WOO. I don't have any shitty videos to share this time because I heard they were pretty strict and I didn't want to get kicked out. At least it gave me the chance to fully absorb the experience, I didn't even fanchant XD
First I want to rant a little about the promoters and how shit before the concert was organized. Holy shit they confused a bunch of fans who had the Meet and Greet tickets. Maybe the night or 2 nights before the concert, people with E-tickets got an email saying their tickets were invalid. Later the promoters set out a notice that they just need to pick up their physical tickets at the venue, but some people bought them off other people. And to pick up those tickets you need their info. Well come concert day, shit changed again apparently and all you needed was an e-ticket again...I think there was some staff member was walking down the line and she was "yelling" (could barely hear wtf she was saying) this information to the crowd. From what I saw she barely walked down the long ass line so people in the back, like my friend, were confused as fuck on what to do. Had to ask some other person in line for this information.
Alright next was that they had ONE gigantic fucking line with Meet and Greet ticket holders, VIP General Audience, Regular General Audience, and the seated ticket holders. So that right there is just one big giant wtf man! I was hoping to expect at least 3 separate lines because I had a VIP General Audience and I'm supposed to get early admission and a shitty poster. But I lost out on a lot of information apparently because I needed a wristband they were passing out while people were waiting in line which I never saw! I'm pretty sure it was similar to how the MNG info was being passed along which was not very thoroughly relaying the information across...Oh well tho, I lucked out and got a good spot in the Pit and the poster sucked anyway.
CONCERT/SHOWCASE TIME So I'm just going to jack this from reddit and this was the layout of the concert/showcase: credits to leftylink 1. Remember 2. Mr. Chu MC came out and talked 3. Sunday Monday 4. Isn't it Amazing 5. Good Borning Baby MC did something again, probably the Q&A? 6. Secret Cover dance Box game, new costumes 7. My My 8. U You I think they said their last words to their fans at this point. 9. No No No 10. LUV They walked off the stage and waited for people to yell for an encore 11. Up to the Sky
Don't got much to say about the performances, we've all seen videos of it. Maybe just a few impromptu choreography that Bomi and Hayoung did in I forget which song lol. I was like super zoned in on Chorong though so I might have missed out on some good stuff. Damn is she a cutie~ I zoned in on Bomi and Naeun too but it was mostly Chorong. LA was also fucking hyyyyped. And Eunji, them vocals!! So good! I mean I saw em at KMF but didn't really get a good idea of just how well Eunji sings at that time.
When they finished the first two songs the MC came out and the members introduced themselves and had a few words to say to us in almost all English! Whaaaat. It was cute and funny. They all pretty much said oh it's great to be here and this is our last show and we're sad it's' coming to an end. Naeun looked like she had a complete brain fart and went blank. Either she was just so fucking tired or a little nervous. Mostly likely tired. As I said earlier LA was hyyyyped. MC and Eunji had to calm us down :lol:. There was also a moment where Eunji said some long sentences in Korean and the crowd was just like YeaaaaAh and we couldn't hear the translator. Eunji was then like ahh you guys understood all that and we were like Yeaaaa! I had no idea what she said...
Alright Q&A time and requests! It was more like requests and one question. I think the question was asked to Chorong which was...what interesting habits do the members have? Hmm..and I don't remember what she said lol. The first request was like can the members do the aegyo confession song. Someone was able to get it on video (https://twitter.com/chomified/status/686038714208747521). It was uhh...I guess cute? Lol Anyway after that we started chanting, Chorong, Chorong! to get her to do it too. She ended up doing the gwiyomi song instead and as usual was cringing and yelling while she did it Lol. Second request was some lame heart relay and they just shot hearts to the crowd, nothing too interesting. Third request and maybe last? may have been another but it was like deadly aegyo. Hayoung was forced to do it and Bomi gave her an idea on what to do but Hayoung didn't do it well, so Bomi had to demonstrate it instead and Eunji was loving it lol. They were basically picking out hearts from their pockets and shoot em to the crowd. After that we tried to get Eunji do something too but she was nooo I ain't got that aegyo. She did a little something so it was all good in the end.
What's In a Box! So they were separated into the Unnie Team (Chorong, Bomi, Eunji) and the Dongsaeng Team (Naeun, Hayoung, Namjoo). So this game they have to put their hand inside the boxes but they dunno what it is. In the dongsaeng box it was them tapioca balls and in the unnie team it was a raw octopus. Dongsaeng went up first to put their hands down the hole ;) and Naeun was a little scared, and maybe hayoung too. Namjoo tho was freaked out lol. Eunji kept teasing that it was alive! Next was obviously Unnie team and Eunji was first to put her hands down the hole ;). As usual, Eunji ain't scared of anything and handles it like a pro. She pretty much knew what it was and was saying that she likes it and eats it in Busan all the time. Bomi was next up and she freaked the fuck out lol. Someone managed to get that on video! https://vine.co/v/iMumatMEXAM Chorong didn't react as crazily as Bomi but she was pretty scared to touch it too Lol. So both teams ended up guessing correctly and they just settled the winner with Rock Paper scissors. Bomi vs Namjoo. They were supposed to have their backs against each other but namjoo "cheated" and only Bomi was turned the other way so after Bomi chose her hand and Namjoo just chose what beat it lol. Obviously they did it again and Bomi won out! MC told us that the Unnie team has beaten the Dongsaeng team for this tour 3-1!
Their last words to us :cry: Basically said they're sad that it's the end of their showcase and their tour and time flies by quick. They hope that they'll come back soon, stuff like that. Bomi went all out in English and at one point struggled to figure out what she wanted to say which was super cute and funny. Loved the effort the girls put into speaking as much English as possible even though I'd be OK with Korean and having a translator. (BTW the translators were ok, but SUPER quiet on the mics).
BTW UP THE THE FUCKIN SKY YEAAAAA great way to end the concert. People started busting out their phones and Apink gave a few fanservice shots for them. And that was the end... T-T they ended up taking another group photo of Apink and the crowd because I'm pretty sure their pics ended up bad lol.
Other notes Eunji was freaking hilarious throughout the showcase. Speaking a bunch, in English too!, reacting with the crowd and all that shit. She did a great job at keeping the energy up and calming us down too when it needed to be XD.
So yea...that's how it went, I honestly didn't expect a lot from this showcase, but I had a blast. It's probably one of my favorite K-Pop experiences so far. I hope to see them again >_<!

@storyboard - OMG, I just came back from the LA concert too! I thought it was A-MAY-ZING! It was my first Kpop girl group concert, and I started to get into Apink either early 2015 or late 2014. The promoters WERE insanely un-organized and I was pretty put off about that as well..
My experience - I went with 2 of my cousin's. I kept trying to persuade one to go with me because I didn't want to go by myself, so I drowned him in Apink MV's and eventually got him to go with me along with another cousin. We got to the venue around 1pm, but decided to start standing in line around 2pm. When one of the staff was saying stuff about "high-touch winners" we were confused about how the winners were announced then realized one of my cousin's tickets won. They kept teasing me about it, but was really generous and let me have the ticket... SO I WAS ABLE TO HIGH FIVE THE MEMBERS!! It was pretty funny, I wanted to do something "unique" and did a drive by rock-paper-scissors game with them since it happened soooo fast. When it was my turn for the high-five drive by.. I kept rapidly saying "kawi-bawi-bo, kawi-bawi-bo, kawi-bawi-bo" with scissors out (at the same time high-fiving them). Some of them had a confused look on their face, but Naeun pulled out a rock on me and I didn't get a high-five from her! I vow to have my revenge and restore my honor.. one day.. LOL
Anyways, I'm extremely pooped. I just wanted to rant a bit about that high-five encounter. I kinda regret not being able to fully absorb their reactions from the high-five event because I was so focused on saying "kawi-bawi-bo".. /tears

That sounds amazing. I envy people who lived on the west coast. I even looked at the tickets and was considering flying out to san francisco for apink but it is the busiest month of the year for me,, :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
So there is hope that they will do a full US tour. All we get here on the east coast are boy groups. Big bang,BTS last year. Infinite this month.

I just remembered another thing from the concert during the question segment. They were asked what they enjoyed the most, I think, from the tour in America and it led to some food talk. Poor Eunji said she didn't eat D: but Namjoo or Hayoung mentioned she had a bite of Hayoung's burger at Smashburger, but other than that she only had room service food D:. Everyone was like awww.. MC then asked the crowd to recommend some food joints to check out and everyone started chanting In N Out XD.

It is out!!! The song is whatever but the MV is wow. Who am I kidding?We all know this is gonna be the most played song on my itunes by the end of the year anyways.

Yeah song is whatever, but it was actually better than I thought it would be. And of course MV visuals is goooood. Bomi with them bangs surprisingly cute! I will miss seeing that forehead though.
