"Crystallize II" is so far only available in 華原朋美写真集限定豪華BOX, that costs 7000 yen (and like $100 at Yesasia) >_< But it also contains a 50min DVD and a present from Tomo-chan... that is apparently condom(s). Yes, condom. Fun >_>;;;

I got my "10th Anniversary Celebration 華原朋美 Concert 2005" DVD on Monday, and gosh, Kahara CAN SING and her band ROCKS!!! Nearly half of the concert was acoustic, and "Never Say Never" just blew me away, so minimalistic and orsm it was! The hall is rather small, so you get a very nice feeling of being close to her *_*
So if you like those calmer concerts without dancers, go buy it :D

Finished leeching Tomomi on Domoto Kyoudai TV show (before she became a regular back-up singer there), and she wass so CUUUTE! She said her treasure was her pets and they showed little photos of them:

In the other news, Tomo will have the lead role in Yuming's (松任谷由実, Matsutoya Yumi, 52) musical Girlfriends in December and guess what, it is indeed shoujo-ai! \^0^/ Her partner will be 池田有希子 (Ikeda Yukiko, 36). Tomo'll have a substitute though, 堀内敬子 (Horiuchi Keiko, 35), but among 30 performances Tomo will act in 20 and Keiko only in 10. Also, the musical is some kind of avant-garde, since the words are not sang but projected on screens (no idea what they'll sing, "woooo lalala" or smth? x_x).
I'd so go to see it, but now I can only pray for DVD ;_;

I recently got Tomomi's Super Best Singles 10th Anniversary album and she's pretty good! I was surprised I had never heard of her before, when apparently she had been as famous as Namie Amuro in her early days :o I like her voice though, in any case :P LOL

Well, Tomo-chan never was _that_ famous. Her best selling album is still her debut (LOVE BRACE, it sold 2.5m, her 2nd album sold like x2 less), and after TK dumped her everything collapsed :o I'm glad Namie was able to move on without that jerk lol

^ But they were lovers :o That's basically why I hate him, he dumped her and married Keiko. Tomo-chan went through anything you could think of (supposedly), but he never shown any care at all, and if I'm not wrong even said something like "she's not part of TK family anymore" when he was asked about her suicide attempt... so well, I guess I'm glad his "empire" went bye bye.

Not to get too off-topic, but Tomo's situation kind of reminds me of Olivia~ She used to be under TK, too, right? And after she went solo and decided to compose her own songs and everything, the support from avex as a whole pretty much went down XD I'm almost sure because of TK...

I'm not exactly an expert on 90's J-pop, but it seems like TK had quite a lot of control in the biz back then. I'm not quite sure about OLIVIA though, but I think he was indeed the person that made D&D split and Livi go solo. Can't forget what happend to Suzuki Ami either:
Ami was faced with the problem of production companies refusing to sign her in and she tried to make a comeback in the next two years with little to no success. All her fair-weather friends deserted her, including her producer, Tetsuya Komuro.

But yes, if I'm right, TK produced Olivia's first two singles, I.L.Y. ~yokoubou~ and reA.C.T. After that, she released Dear Angel, which was the first song she composed/produced on her own, and then TK had nothing more to do with her XD
I just think he's a terrible, egotistical man, and when someone isn't doing something for him anymore, he just kicks them to the side XD It's nice to see that what goes around, comes around, since like the article pointed out, Tsunku and H!P are now the leaders in the J-pop industry :P

"She's into drugs. Every time she has worries with her work or her love life, she starts popping all sorts of pills -- sleeping pills, tranquilizers, even cold medicine. She scoffs into the drugs like they're candies," a showbiz insider says. "All the stuff she takes is legal, but she's addicted. Kahara taken to hospital for overdose

Singer Tomomi Kahara has once again found herself in the news for personal issues. Over the weekend, she was taken by ambulance to a hospital for a drug overdose. At around 3:00am on Saturday, she got into a taxi outside Kinshicho Station. According to the driver, Kahara seemed only vaguely conscious, to the point that she was unable to even name her destination. The driver took her to a nearby police box, where an officer called for an ambulance.
It was explained that Kahara had taken a large amount of doctor-prescribed tranquilizers, resulting in acute poisoning. No traces of alcohol or other substances were found in her body.
Kahara's turbulent career stretches back to the 1990s. She was in a high-profile relationship with producer Tetsuya Komuro, but after their breakup, Kahara attempted suicide in 1999 by gassing herself. A few months later, she was discovered outside her house, passed out after a heavy dosage of cold medicine. Due to problems with her agency, she was fired in June 2007 and has been effectively retired since then. She has been hoping to mount a comeback, but so far it has proven difficult.
