Which next-gen systems do you currently own?
« on: August 09, 2007, 04:01:09 PM »
Mostly out of curiosity. I only have a Wii myself. I'm considering a 360 once the price goes down, but most of the games for it aren't in genres I like.

Oct-Dec is going to be a busy time for the Wii, so I won't be lacking for games to play anyway.

None at the minute. My PS2 is currently keeping me more than occupied with FFXII, Shin Megami Tensei : Digital Devil Saga, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, God Of War II, Okami and Pro Evolution Soccer 6. I intend to get one, which one remains to be seen, but only when certain games have been released or possible price drop.

None :) My PS2 is all I need for at least the next year. Then when it gets cheaper --> PS3.

I have a Wii, but I don't consider it next-gen...

I'm getting a 360 sometime this year...they have a pricedrop and are putting out new consoles that address its current issues.  There's so many games to look forward to this year on the 360.

Only game I'm looking forward to on the ps3 is Metal Gear Solid 4, and thats not out til next year.  Heavenly Sword looks nice though.

I'm considering buying Xbox 360 because I can buy a HD/VGA cable and play it on my computer monitor. I'm wondering if PS3 can do the same thing?

i currently owned the Wii, just got it about a week, but haven't had time to play that much, but when i did, it was fun.  i bought 3 games that came with it, but didn't get to play any of them, just the Wii sports.  other than that, i'm also planning to buy the ps3 once the price drops just a little more.  $499 is just still pricey for me rite now...
i have nothing against XBox, and they do have some awesome games, it just I'm not too crazy about X-BOX 360.

btw, i know both XBOX 360 and PS3 have those built-in hard drive, but i wonder if it's swappable, u know like if u bought a 20GB but want to update to a newer 60GB or 80GB, is that possible?  or do u have to buy a new unit?

I'm not sure about the 360, but I know for a fact you can change the hard drive on the PS3 to any other laptop size hard drives you want since it uses the same 2.5" size. (I believe the manual shows you how to do it too)  It looks really easy to do: http://youtube.com/watch?v=BkM9wiZePfs
Best of all it does not void the warranty.

Definitely a Wii.
Nothing interests me on the 360... and the PS3 is too expensive and I'd probably only play Final Fantasy on it anyway. Plus, with talks of Guitar Hero and DDR for the Wii, I'm pretty sure I'm set for awhile.  :D

Both of those are on my to-get list as well. I've finished Bioshock and Orange Box, so I'm in the mood for new games.

None of the above.  Newest console system I have is a N64 with 3 games.  PC gaming has been all the gaming I could ever need for many years

All I have is my playstation and xbox.
Really don't use them much, and I wish I could run pc games, but no chance, unless they're not heavy type graphics games with a whole of stuff going on at once.

None yet. I'm already too busy with:
PS2 (Soul Nomad and The World Eaters, Spidey Friend or Foe, SMT Persona 3, DBZ Sparking Meteor)
PSP (FF1, FF2, FFT War of Lions)
NDS (FF3)

It shows that I'm already darn happy with what I've got in RPG goodness.  :D

Problem is none of the games out right now on next-gen are that attractive.. (Resident Evil UC was just that close... ).
So think I'll only switch if MGS4 or FF13 comes out.
