It was announced yesterday that producer Akimoto Yasushi will create a new AKB48 sister group that it’s based on Shanghai, China and it will be called SNH48.

This will be their 3rd overseas sister group after JKT48 and TPE48 and the 6th overall. The audition will start by early August this year and it’s expected to form the first Team S comprised of 16 members by December 8th, which is the 7th anniversary of AKB48. SNH48 is belong to China “can be face to face female idol group” is following the Department of Women’s idol group AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, JKT48 another the birth of the 48 produced by the famous lyricist, film and television program planning experts Akimoto Akashi planning. Take (theシャnnハイ) Japanese kana Sha, N-Hai, the three first letters to form the “SNH48.

i don't know why but i wasn't excited when i read this news..Too many sister groups,aki-p..

I think it is nice for the fans that live in those countries to have their own local group to follow, but only the Japanese ones for me

The most interesting thing about this is the immediate rivalry between TPE48 (Tapei, Taiwan) VS SNH48 (Shanghai, P.R.China) given the difficult political relationships between those areas

More chance of JunLin auditioning for SHN48 than for TPE48, so that's a plus

One thing, I would've preferred CNA48 so we could have a Team Shi (for 'C')

WHY THE FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU?? I'd be fine with it if they stay in their own countries but they just have to go to Japan and soon they're in the AKB singles and PVs and elections and AKBingo and other TV shows.

i think the same.. to many sisters group..
it lost it's novelty..

but i think it's kinda effective though. since akb48 members can't go all around the world too much for promotion. it'll be like hell schedule for them.
