actually thats not quite surprising lol since Oklahoma is overrated to begin with, now they are REALLY gonna drop all the way down there

Tennessee almost fell at the hand of UAB... so much for #3 rank on BCS

and go BUCKEYES (even though beating Miami OH is not so shocking).. next week, #2 Texas is gonna drop in ranking big time, get beat by OSU

Screw texas.  I know they are overrated.  We got tombstoned in Death Valley, while they had a scrimmage with the Ragin' Cajuns.  The Clemson game sucked, we dropped winning passes and should've went for the 2 pt. conversion.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Former Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett turned himself in Monday night on charges of robbing two people with a gun in an alley behind a bar.

His lawyer, Percy Squire, said Clarett would be jailed overnight and planned to plead not guilty at a Tuesday court appearance. Squire would not elaborate.
Clarett was wanted on two counts of aggravated robbery since early Sunday, when police said he flashed a gun and demanded property from a man and a woman behind the Opium Lounge in downtown Columbus.

Police said he fled with two men in a sport utility vehicle after he was identified by the bar owner, who happened to come out into the alley. No one was injured, and only a cell phone was taken from the alleged victims, police said.

The 22-year-old former Buckeye star, who helped the team win the national championship in 2002, turned himself in around 9 p.m. Monday at the county jail, Columbus Detective Art Hughes said.

Around the same time Monday, fourth-ranked Ohio State was finishing a 34-20 win over No. 5 Notre Dame at the Fiesta bowl in Tempe, Ariz. Clarett would have been a senior this year had he stayed with the Buckeyes.

Myke Clarett, Clarett's father, declined comment when reached at his home Monday night. A recorded message on the voicemail box for his mother, Michelle Clarett, indicated that it was full.

Clarett sat out the 2003 season when he was charged with misdemeanor falsification for filing a police report claiming that more than $10,000 in clothing, CDs, cash and stereo equipment was stolen from a car he borrowed from a local dealership. He later pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Ohio State suspended Clarett for misleading investigators, and for receiving special benefits worth thousands of dollars from a family friend.

Clarett also unsuccessfully challenged the NFL's requirement that players wait three years after high school before turning pro in a case that went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court. He was chosen by the Denver Broncos in last year's draft, but the team cut him in August.

Buckeye coach Jim Tressel said at a news conference the day before the Fiesta Bowl that he had recently spoken with Clarett about opportunities in the NFL Europe.

"Obviously, my reaction to that is it's sad," Tressel said Sunday, "because, as I said the last few times people have brought up the subject, my hope would be that he would have an opportunity to go over to NFL Europe and make a comeback."

Clarett rushed for 1,237 yards and scored 16 touchdowns as a freshman in 2002, but has found only hard times since helping the Buckeyes win the national title.

In an interview with ESPN The Magazine in November 2004, Clarett said coaches and boosters arranged for him to get passing grades, cars and thousands of dollars while at Ohio State. None of the allegations were verified and Clarett never responded to NCAA requests to be interviewed about them as part of its investigation into Ohio State's athletic program.

RICHMOND, Va. -- Former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick, kicked off the team last week for his behavior on and off the field, was charged Monday with pulling a gun on three teenagers during an altercation in a restaurant parking lot.

Vick surrendered at the Suffolk magistrate's office after three warrants were issued for his arrest Sunday, Magistrate Lisa Noel said.

Vick, 21, was charged with three misdemeanor counts of brandishing a firearm, and was released on $10,000 bond.

Police said the parents of a 17-year-old boy reported that Vick pointed a weapon at their son and two others during an altercation at a McDonald's in Suffolk, a southeastern Virginia city where Vick's mother lives, Sunday night.

"There was some type of altercation between Mr. Vick and the victims," Lt. Debbie George of the Suffolk Police Department was quoted as saying in Tuesday's editions of The Washington Post. "It was a verbal altercation, not a physical one."

The Post reported that a person close to Vick said the teenagers were taunting the quarterback, and that Vick showed the gun to scare them.

Magistrate Lisa Noel told the newspaper that police have not located a gun.

If convicted on all three counts, Vick could be sentenced to up to three years in jail and a $7,500 fine, George said in a statement.

On Friday, Virginia Tech kicked Vick off the team, citing the cumulative effects of numerous legal problems and his unsportsmanlike conduct in the Gator Bowl, where he was caught on tape stomping on the left calf of Louisville All-American Elvis Dumervil.

He also received a speeding ticket and a ticket for driving with a suspended license in Hampton on Dec. 17 while under a "zero tolerance" policy from Virginia Tech.

The policy was implemented when Vick was suspended in 2004 because of several legal problems. He later came under further scrutiny because of replays of his actions against Dumervil.

Vick claimed it was accidental, but hurt his cause by claiming to have apologized to Dumervil, the NCAA sacks leader. Dumervil said he received no such apology.

Saturday, Vick announced he had decided to turn pro.

A Virginia Tech spokesman said university officials would have no comment on Vick's arrest.

"At this point, I think the actions speak for themselves," the spokesman, Larry Hincker, said.

Vick is the younger brother of Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick. He was the runner-up to Wake Forest's Chris Barclay, by one vote, as the Atlantic Coast Conference's offensive player of the year, and was the league's first-team quarterback.

In 24 career games, the 6-foot, 212-pound Vick threw for 2,868 yards, 19 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. He also ran 184 times for 492 yards and six touchdowns.

Way to go wronghorns! You SUCK!

2 texas Players Arrested

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Texas starting cornerback Tarell Brown and backup linebacker and special teams player Tyrell Gatewood were suspended for Saturday's game against No. 1 Ohio State after their arrest on misdemeanor charges.

The loss of Brown, a senior and Texas' top cover corner, is a big blow to a defense counting on him to match up with the Buckeyes' top receiver, Ted Ginn Jr. Gatewood made one tackle on special teams in the No. 2 Longhorns' season opener against North Texas.
The players were arrested early Monday, along with former Longhorn linebacker Aaron Harris, when their car was pulled over by Travis County sheriff's deputies.

Brown was charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon after he was found with a loaded 9 mm handgun on his lap, according to deputies. Brown, Gatewood and Harris all were charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana less than two ounces.

Texas coach Mack Brown would not say Tuesday if the suspensions were only for the Ohio State game.

"I'm just trying to get through Saturday," the coach said. "As a head coach, No. 1 you have to look at the legal system and cooperate with the authorities completely.

"No. 2, you must go through the university because that's who we work for. No. 3, you are concerned about distractions for your football team. ... No. 4, you care about the three young men involved and their families."

MIAMI -- A sideline-clearing brawl interrupted the third quarter of the Florida International-Miami game Saturday night, prompting the ejection of 13 players in the first meeting between the South Florida rivals.

FIU had eight players ejected, Miami had five. It was the first on-field fight in FIU's five-year football history, school officials said.

Florida International's ejected players were wide receiver Chandler Williams, defensive backs Lionell Singleton, Chris Smith and Marshall McDuffie Jr., fullback John Ellis, linebacker Mannie Wellington, tight end Samuel Smith and defensive end Jarvis Penerton.

The ejected Miami players were offensive linemen Derrick Morse and Chris Barney, running back Charlie Jones, and cornerbacks Carlos Armour and Bruce Johnson.

All 13 players are expected to be suspended for one game.

The fight started shortly after Jon Peattie's extra point with 9:00 left in the third quarter gave Miami a 14-0 lead. Both sidelines quickly emptied, with several fights breaking out during the melee before order was restored.

The brawl lasted about five minutes, and it took officials several more minutes to sort out the penalties. Players from both sides appeared to be swinging helmets, and one injured FIU player came onto the field swinging a crutch at Miami players.

More than two dozen uniformed police officers came onto the field, trying to end the fights.

Several minutes after order was restored on the field, one fight broke out among fans in the northwest corner of the end zone, with more than 12 police officers running into the stands to break up that melee. More officers, including some wearing helmets, continued to surround the perimeter of the field.

Tensions ran high throughout the evening, with several instances of players exchanging heated words at the end of plays.

But emotions quickly boiled over after Miami's second touchdown.

James Bryant caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Wright, then drew a 15-yard flag for unsportsmanlike conduct. After that catch, he appeared to point at the FIU bench, then took a theatrical bow.

Moments later, Peattie kicked the extra point and the brawl started.

I don't even follow college football and agree with most people that think the "punishments" dished out were considerably lightweight.

If the NCAA wants college football to become some kind of wild west battlefield then they will very likely find fewer fans and less buck$ in the future.

What a disgrace.

I wanted Brady to win too. Only two things remain certain now:

1. Ohio State will beat the Gators to be the only team to win 2 BCS titles since the BCS series began in 1998.

2. Troy Smith will go to the Raiders as the #1 pick.

I don't follow football in general, even here in a state where it is a Religion, and was unaware that he was THAT well regarded as a pro prospect, much less a national figure of considerable stature.

^That's a laugh, my old hometown of SA!

Sean Glennon started at quarterback for Virginia Tech with his name written on the back in magic marker.
Upon closer inspection, it was apparent that Glennon was wearing the black and gold of Georgia Tech instead of the maroon and orange of the Hokies.

Four Virginia Tech players had to wear loaner attire from the home team after their own white jerseys disappeared from Bobby Dodd Stadium before Thursday night's game.

Glennon and fellow quarterback Tyrod Taylor were among those who had to wear white road jerseys provided by the home team. Also missing: the jerseys of two defensive starters, safety Kam Chancellor and cornerback Brandon Flowers.

The Georgia Tech jerseys were altered for the Hokies. In addition to the names being handwritten on the back, the "Yellow Jackets" name across the front was blacked out with a black marker, as was the manufacturers logo.

The Yellow Jackets wear Russell attire, while Nike is Virginia Tech's official supplier. So, the Russell logo was colored over and the Nike "swoosh" was drawn in beside it.

The Hokies had no idea what happened to the four jerseys. There was no evidence of a break-in to the visiting locker room. A review of video surveillance tape showed nothing suspicious.

Replacement jerseys arrived for everyone except Glennon during the first half. Flowers and Chancellor changed into their Virginia Tech jerseys before halftime, but Taylor — perhaps in solidarity with his fellow QB — remained in his Georgia Tech jersey.

Taylor, who replaced Glennon as the starter early in the season, missed his second straight game because of an ankle injury.

HEY KANKI! Doesn't mini camp start soon. Yer fellow classmate was in the news...

PURDUE PLAYER ACCUSED OF STEALING CONDOMS

Purdue safety Torri Williams was arrested last week and charged with shoplifting.

The item he's accused of taking? Condoms.

And so we want to give Williams the benefit of the doubt and think maybe he's not a thief so much as he's just a guy who values his privacy to such an extent that he doesn't want the checkout girl at Pay Less Super Market to know anything about his sex life.

Unfortunately, it's harder to give Williams the benefit of the doubt because Williams was already on probation on a drunken driving case. He could be jailed for a probation violation, and he could be kicked off the team. I hope those condoms were worth it.

While shopping recently at RadioShack, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was approached by a woman with a seemingly innocuous request to take a picture with him. But an instant before her mother snapped the photo with a cellphone camera, the woman tried to take off her shirt.

“It’s happened four or five times,” Tebow said with a sigh. “Most of the time I just dive out of the picture. Some people can just be crazy (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/17/sports/ncaafootball/17colleges.html?hp)

Florida’s Meyer resigns amid health concerns

By MARK LONG AP Sports Writer

GAINESVILLE, Fla.(AP)—Florida coach Urban Meyer, who was admitted to a hospital because of chest pains following the Southeastern Conference championship game, is stepping down because of health concerns.

Meyer resigned Saturday, calling it quits after five seasons in Gainesville and two national titles. He leaves Florida with a 56-10 record that includes a 32-8 mark in league play and a school-record 22-game winning streak snapped early this month against Alabama.

Meyer says he consulted with his family, his doctors, school president Bernie Machen and athletic director Jeremy Foley before deciding it is in his best interest to focus on his health and family.

Meyer will hold a news conference in New Orleans on Sunday afternoon and will coach his final game in the Sugar Bowl against Cincinnati on New Year’s Day.

Just  :shocked

Cincinatti should've played Boise State & TCU should've played Florida.  Those would've been better matches.

Side-note- Adam James should transfer from Texas Tech.  His crying caused Tech to fire the winning-est coach in tech history.
Title: Re: Official NCAA Football Thread
Post by: kuro808 on January 04, 2010, 06:44:38 AM
^ In general they should have the non-qualifiers play automatic qualifying teams

Also the James situation, he should transfer to SMU so he can face a coach more adaptable to players, and the father can at least shut up for not letting Leach stay.

IMO Leach should be a coordinator again so he can build a reputation again

TCU-Boise State okay game.  Not the best, however the fake punt was the momentum shifter.  Tonight Hawkeyes & the Ramblin' Wreck.

Side note, I'm glad Leach is gone.  Helps out the Big 12 South teams that hate playing them regularly, now if only Mack Brown could go.

Nebraska goes to the Big 10
Colorado goes to the Pac-10
Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and A&M wants to go but stays
Boise moves to the MWC
Utah goes to the Pac-10

What next?

All da localz on my Twitter and FB feeds were cheering the upset of Boise.  On the other hand, the sports writers/bloggers on same formats were less enthusiastic.  Kinda like Big Brother/The Man was quietly sipping a glass of bubbly in quiet celebration.

I have no money in this fight; just thought it was an interesting dichotomy.
Title: Re: Official NCAA Football Thread
Post by: kuro808 on November 27, 2010, 09:05:27 AM
well I think it only gives Boise St. a chance to realize that, they cannot play what they had been playing for the whole season, so it gives the WAC a chance at a three-way tie for the championship
Title: Re: Official NCAA Football Thread
Post by: zoolander on November 27, 2010, 09:11:34 AM
Too bad. I always want as many teams as possible undefeated. Throw as many wrenches as possible in the BCS, get some steps towards a playoff going. I also think Boise beats Oregon or Auburn. Plus it kinda irks me SEC teams like Auburn get away with setting up such a joke ooc schedule but I guess it's mostly moot now. :P
Title: Re: Official NCAA Football Thread
Post by: kuro808 on November 27, 2010, 09:17:46 AM
^ i think they need a playoff regardless, because in general too many teams are ranked too high and causing a power latent conference and the Big East is really the 6th ranked conference in the BCS and maybe ranked lower when the Mountain West does get better regardless of Utah and BYU's departure

The sad part sometimes is that people are human and even though I rooted against them, I do feel bad for the kicker, there are a lot of things that was held in Nevada's favor and in all he will go on to have a future in whatever he does but he will only be known for blowing two kicks in the regular undefeated season that wasn't

Bump, I will look into the games as they go along and since we are a ways back, and because I am a big fan of college football, I am going to present the first three games

New Mexico Bowl: BYU vs. UTEP

A battle of former WAC foes before splitting off to the Mountain West and Conference USA, I always find the name BYU to be the biggest thing in the Mountain West but it hasn't been this year and add with their slow start with a lost to Utah St.  They fought back to get into a bowl game and I am going to stick with them.

Humanitarian Bowl: N. Illinois vs. Fresno St.

N. Illinois coming off a lost in their championship game and Fresno always a tough team that promote  "Play anywhere, anytime"  I think this might be the start of next season for Fresno as the MAC is not as strong as the WAC, going with the bulldogs

New Orleans Bowl: Troy vs. Ohio

New Orleans Bowl has always been the interesting bowl game as I have seen and the Sun Belt conference has been improving but maybe not in this matchup as Ohio can run the ball, running out the clock, and Troy can never come back, go Bobcats!

Joe addresses fans (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JXoXdIJQ7I#)

The whole scene last night with fucking blind ass Penn State students rooting him and Joe Paterno fucking oblivious to the fuck is going and even leading a rallying cry. This is like all kinds of wrong with College Athletics - it's about the brand and the money and people are fucking afraid to speak out in fear of their jobs, tarnishing the legacy and the millions the colleges bring in.

There's one thing to have someone's back, but you just have to separate blind loyalty to harbouring a fucking criminal. Just fucking ridiculous. Forget the whole "Joe Pa" "Penn State" legacy - it's a fucking repeat child molester caught ass raping a kid in the shower and all the fucking levels from the Grad Assistant who witnessed that makes-you-wanna-kill-a-man incident instead runs to tell his daddy. Jesus. Like the more you hear, the more disgusting it gets; like dude Sandusky was reprimanded, forced retirement and then held his "camps" at satellite colleges, and even still shows up at the PSU gym working out. How many kids are fucked up cuz of him?

Must be embarrassing for all PSU grads. Just all this wall to wall coverage makes you disgusted and wanna puke. Fuck you better believe I will reconsider sending my kids to some kinda camp like these, esp. hearing it for over a decade of fucking kids being lured at hockey rinks like the Graham James-Theo Fleury-Sheldon Kennedy incidents, this just trumps them all.

Hey, this is a sports forum and we don't skirt issues.

^ yes, he did, but I thought they would at least let him do one more game for the seniors before letting him go to the dogs.  But just thinking back to the previous coaches who have been fired for other stuff, it shows that the universities have an agenda: if they don't like him, they will fire him when he screws up. (Bowden, Leach, Locksley, Stoops, etc.)  However, they had to show that he wasn't in control of the situation, and in the end they did what was right.

Now, before you do going off, remember coaches rarely last long and despite everything they have shown that once you past a certain age, they will go on releasing people at will.  Now, I have read through past stories and the main reason has been, they cannot stand the current era.  Many would have been fired for anything stupid.

Joe Pa did something "morally wrong" not legally wrong.  If there was something beyond that reasoning, he would have been fired earlier.  But, what does surprise me is the grad assistant hasn't been released yet, who is in the middle of the whole thing.  Whatever was told to Joe Pa, he still had more reason to be blamed than anything else.

I have heard stories similar to this and everyone who did know got the ax and in the position of power, they should be take full responsibility for anything done under their watch.  He didn't do that and what he should have done, he didn't do.  But, I do think the universities sometimes are the ones who should take the grunt of the unpopular crowd.

I have to also add this, students will always have blind loyalty to coaches, and we do get disappointed when a popular coach decides to leave or gets forced out.  That's the college way, you can go ask Sab about our situation here, WE HAVE NO PRO SPORTS and it is way different  than professionals.  The fans are mainly students and alumni, we are the vocal majority in numbers but not on the school board.  The students see it as a way to rid of the stench because he (Sandusky) was open to come back, which should have been solved when the first of the allegations started to come out.  Now, maybe something very familiar is with Vick, we could believe him all he want because of his on the field achievements, but we forget that they are not 24/7 sports people and he made a mistake, the process is long and it may never win over the people that once cheered for him.  Its just trying to move himself beyond the off the field incident, as for Paterno, he didn't commit a crime, just the moral faux pas that humans rarely overlook.

Now in saying this, he's on the field achievements is set in stone, he got the records probably no one will ever beat because of the "win now" mentality in college football these days.  As for off the field, it will haunt him, no doubt it will, but as humans we do overlook the process that what morally should be done because of the occupation we hold as our title.  I really feel there is more into the cover up than what is being reported, many just want to know if Joe Pa got the truth from the Grad assistant in the right context.  And I do think the university has made it tougher to the public to understand what had happened.  For him, it is truly regrettable and he will pass on with the doubt that what he shoulda coulda done compared to what had happened during that time

I might as well forward this along and pretty much it says that Paterno misinterpret the information given based on either him or the grad assistant.  However, if all in here was true to Sandusky's status, it could be bigger than just a football issue.  Anyone who is an emiterus of the university has access to all privileges to where they were once active.  However, the deepest wound might be the fact that the police may have overlooked the importance of the situation, not only the university is at fault but the people handling the situation could fall the same way as all the people at the university

I dunno how you can compare to what you compared to. What. This is fucking unprecedented. This isn't just another crime or firing. Child molestation/raping in a shower. What hesitation or misinterpretation do you need? Kids lives are ruined. if they still haven't killed themselves, they are living fucked up lives, drug addicted, alcoholics, just fucking horrors I cannot imagine.

Anyone who is an emiterus of the university has access to all privileges to where they were once active.

Even when they are suspected pedophiles since 1998? You bet they missed the ball on this. Zero tolerance to such sickness. Dem Penn State kids rioting. Really? Just check a few trends on twitter and get the facts. There is no comparison. This is unreal. It's a big fuck you to the kids and their families who have to live with this horror.

I agree with former NFLer Heath Evans, http://www.heathevans.org (http://www.heathevans.org) Heard him on Jim Rome show today. Just blow the fucking program up. How do people even root for the team? If the NCAA can death penalty programs for players taking bribes, what is the standards anymore? Just fucked up, beyond football man.

"The Heath Evans Foundation is dedicated to fostering hope and healing in the lives of children and families affected by sexual abuse through Christian counseling and intervention."

Former NFL Fullback Heath Evans On His Wife's Childhood Abuse And The Limits Of Loyalty
Wednesday, November 9, 2011 12:44 pm
Written by: Heath Evans

I played in the SEC. I fully understand football as a religion. I'm completely aware of head coaches being viewed as immortals. I also comprehend the love and adoration alumni have for their respective universities. All that being said, there is no room for loyalty at the expense of a moral standard that should be upheld regardless of the cost -- no matter what's at stake or whom it may indict.

I was not put on this earth to judge, but to love. Nevertheless, sometimes while doing the right thing in the name of love, you can be cast as judgmental. So despite the possibility of being misunderstood or labeled as judgmental, I refuse to back away from the truths I know all too well. My beautiful bride of more than 10 years, Beth Ann, experienced the pain of childhood sexual abuse for a year of her life. She hid the pain, shame and guilt inside for far too long. When we were married, it had a profoundly negative impact, but we found hope and healing through quality counseling. Today, we are still on the road to recovery -- together.

One of the ways I express my love for her is through the Heath Evans Foundation, which provides counseling for others and raises awareness about some of the truths of childhood sexual abuse:

Truth: 1 of 4 girls and 1 of 6 boys will be sexually abused before the age of 18.

Truth: There is no neutral ground in fighting childhood sexual abuse. You either stand against it or stand for it.

Truth: Bystanders to abuse might as well have been participants in Jerry Sandusky's alleged rape and sexual assault of at least eight boys from 1998 to the late 2000s.

Loyalty is key in every successful way of life. In business, friendship, family and, yes, even football. Loyalty might be the greatest asset to any championship football team. It is also part of what makes a great coaching staff. True loyalty exhibits itself in many ways on a team and a coaching staff. For instance, Monday night after a tough loss at home, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid blamed himself and praised Michael Vick. Meanwhile, Vick took full responsibility for the loss and heaped praise on Reid -- loyalty at its finest.

Loyalty does not stand by and turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to heinous crimes against children. Loyalty does not take the easy way out of an uncomfortable situation. Loyalty does not place more value on friendship or public perception than on what is morally right and wrong!

Lies get you in trouble. Telling further lies to get you out of the first one only dig a deeper pit. Most of us can understand the impulse to "deny, deny, deny" no matter how guilty we are.

One of the most troubling aspects of this Penn State scenario is the fans who remain loyal to the university and Joe Paterno. Einstein said, "The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it!" Just in case you miss the point of one of the smartest men in the modern era, those who stand by Paterno out of loyalty are a key ingredient in the evil we are discussing today.

Einstein also defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. We want the world to be a safe place, but we continually stand by and allow evil to rear its ugly head. I'm definitely not Einstein, but I'm not insane either. We, as a society, have stood by and repeatedly swept the epidemic of childhood sexual abuse under the rug hoping for it to disappear on its own. Well, guess what? It's only gotten worse!

The call to action is now. Ask yourself: If that was my son, my brother or my grandson that Jerry Sandusky allegedly had in a dirty college locker-room shower being viciously raped, how would I have wanted Joe Paterno and the administration to respond?

Think about it. Cowardice and Ignorance defining JoePa's legacy. Now he's hiring some big law firm to fight for his name. Just cuz he was loyal to his buddy Sandusky. And from what I hear is just the tip of the iceberg, rumours so far but a pimping ring for wealthy donors?

What. The. Fuck.

^I can't compare to it, but I remembered the time they were gonna force him out, that is what I wanted to get out in general.

As for the victims, they feel bad for Joe Pa being fired, but it had to be done for the sake of the university, to distance themselves.  That was the reason why the students rioted, it was how it was done that angered them in the end.  They just needed to read through the lines and seek the story behind the whole thing.

The football program will stay because the NCAA realized that they cannot use the death penalty, it ruined one program, and it doesn't affect the current students as for recruiting.  Also, they will come down with the hammer for the incident and everything will come out.

As for Joe Pa, what they are trying to do is not to binding the responsibility with the school, because the school will take the grunt of the lawsuit when it does come out and Sandusky will get his punishment in criminal law.

Regardless, they will cheer on for the school because that is the healing for anything that rocks for the schools, it rebuilds the fractured fan base, and in a way winning solves the wrongs in life even if they have strong opinions on the subject.  They still have other sports other than football, and they will cheer on because it is outside the scope of the actions done in that one particular sport

I usually don't care for the NCAACP but I felt a bit excited when Penn State lost to Virginia.  They basically lost because of the kicker, Sam Ficken.  I mean, he only made ONE FICKEN FG!  I mean, you gotta be ficken kidding me!  I ficken lol'd when I saw 4 out of 5 FGs go way wide (I think 3 out of those 4 misses went wide left).  He couldn't even kick the ficken ball straight from 20 yards out nor could he kick it when it was set up dead center in between the uprights.

Game time guys! I'm rooting for Notre Dame. Tired of this SEC dominance. Alabama's coach is a d-bag. Lol. Im worried about ND's quarterback but I think he will play out of his mind today!

Te'o will be MVP with 3 sacks and an INT.
................
^^^^^^all this stuff was typed before the game...now....
I am totally wrong! I probably made the worst prediction in the history of predictions. Score is 35-7 Alabama. Lol. Notre Dame playing horrible disrespecting all the teams they beat this season
 smh!

As of July 1st, there are more changes which confuses the living hell out of me as what we call conferences for me its only doom and gloom in the Mountain West (not like anyone outside of small schools care)

Then again,

^Clemson topped Georgia in week 1 and K-State gets surprised by NDSU.  Good to see Manziel start again, yet unimpressed that he needs to keep himself in check.  Note, he did that money gesture last season along with the Cam Newton Superman gesture.  Talking trash and taunting is part of the game, and the second person is always caught.

At least YOUR team won!

Mines hasn't seen victory for a while and two heartbreakers already XD. To be honest, the record doesn't indicate the worst of the problems.  Although the coach might be out if they go winless....

Sucks to have the current 8-3 record, need a strong win against mizzou to improve the ranking.  The only good yesterday was baylor losing to ok state.

Auburn and FSU for the national title is a good match.  Some of the other match ups don't sound too exciting. I'd like to see maybe Oregon and Bama or Bama and Baylor.

My Predictions to how it should be...

NC: Auburn vs. Florida St. (Set)
Sugar: Ohio St. vs. Bama
Fiesta: Baylor vs. Oregon
Orange: Clemson vs. UCF
Rose: Stanford vs. Michigan St. (Set)

although the high possibility of Oklahoma gets in Baylor vs. Ohio St. (Fiesta) Oklahoma vs. Bama (Sugar)

I don't know if it will come out that way but a high scoring Fiesta Bowl works but I know Cotton Bowl would hunger any team (OK St. or Oklahoma) vs. Mizzou

Baylor gets UCF, and OU gets Bama.

We're going to play Duke in the Chick Fil A Bowl.  Never played them before.
