20,000 posts… whoa. When we created this site I never imagined I would reach 20,000 posts one day but here I am. Reaching 20,000 posts feels pretty damn surreal because I was never a big postwhore. This sound weird coming from me but I actually used hate posting on forums :lol:
I never told this to anyone besides daigong but two years ago I was ready to retire because I had completely lost my motivation and running this site just wasn’t fun anymore. The first couple of years had been so challenging and time consuming that I started to wonder if it was really worth it. Somehow I got over that horrible slump and lately I have been feeling more motivated than ever. Being an admin ain’t always easy and most people have no idea how time consuming it can be. It has taken me hours and hours to reach 20,000 posts and sometimes I wonder if I should have spent all that time doing something else. Both daigong & I have sacrificed a lot for this community and sometimes I feel like people take us for granted or that people only care about us because we have shared a lot of stuff. But...
... fortunately we have lots of loyal HiPsters who truly love this community and appreciate what we have done. They are the ones who make me happy that we decided to create this site. It always warms my heart to see HiPsters meeting and becoming real life friends. See, JPH!P is much more than an online community, we are a real family. If one of us succeeds, we all celebrate. And when shit happens we support each other like we support our real family members. We have had lots of ups & downs but to be honest I wouldn’t change a day. All that negative shit we have gone through has made us stronger and the last couple of months have been our best months so far. It feels quite amazing to know that we have managed to create something that has changed the lives of numerous people. Our goal was always to create a place where people can relax after a hard day and forget all the real life drama. We aim to be a positive place where you don't have to be afraid of getting bashed or getting involved in a flamewar. I've seen quite a few forums and JPH!P is easily the most positive online community I have ever seen. I consider JPH!P to be my greatest achievement and nothing feels better than hearing people say that something we shared or did made their day.
I would like to thank the whole JPH!P community for giving me so much during these past five years. I promise you that I will keep working hard as long as you guys got love for Da HiP! JPH!P 4 LIFE! :jphip:
