Completely jacked from another forum. RapidShare has been making me :x cuz they've been deleting in less than 30 days. FALSE ADVERTISING you bitches!! And YSI is acting testy at times. I can never upload a thing to Youshareit. Dropload sucks too. I almost feel like asking to hire professional RS link downloaders just to keep the links alive. :evil:

RAR's can be used. You can RAR files that are large in size and share them !!
No hourly download limits.
The drawback..... files only last 3 weeks !!

You know dude. mytempdir seems to be working alright, it makes you wail but works good for 3 weeks without any download limit. Perfect for The Rika Grad Project. :D

Tried a small file to tempdir:

Files will be deleted after 60 days of "inactivity".
No Warez or other copyrighted stuff.
Advice not to upload "sensitive" or personal data.
I also noticed they do allow RAR's !! No hourly limits !! .... if this remains stable say goodbye to Rapid Share !!
After you get a link and go to the page.... there is a BIG Ad in front of the link. You can either close the Ad or use your AdBlock with Firefox to stop the Ad completely. After you do that.... left click on that link as well.... then the download starts !! If you use IE make sure you have some sort of pop up blocker !!
*EDIT Update*: RAR's, HJ Split no longer allowed. They will be deleted if uploaded. No Archived files !!

I'm not sure how, but I've heard of people using gmail accounts to serve files. http://gmail.afraid.org will get you an account in about 5 minutes. And, I just looked at my box with about 50 messages in it, and it says that i'm using 0% of my space. (unlimited space?) Just a suggestion.

You'd have to use winrar to split larger files.
I guess you'd have to email the file to yourself, and then when people request the file you'd just forward the email to them.
The initial uploading would take time but then you could forward the files to as many people as you want and it'd take no time at all.

Yep. I believe it's 10 MB. Maybe 50 MB? It's definitely not over 100, I know that for sure.

Try Filebank, many Japanese upload sites are using it to replace Hakobako, Share Stage.

Rapid Share = 30 mb's per hour
Qfile = 50 mb's per hour
Only 1 problem so far with Qfile so far and that was a server problem they had for 2 hours. Been using it for a little bit now and seem Very Stable !!

Anyone ever tried using bittorrent? It's a pretty fast way to share loads of files. The website http://tracker.therookie.nl/ is a bittorrent tracker set up to replace rapidshare..I reckon someone should take a look at it? :)

There's a number of good BT Trackers (Hello! Tacker, JPOPSUKI, Hello Pro, Tokyo Nights come to mind), but BT has disadvantages too (it's best for high volume files, not isolated uploads).

I think I might just as well go ahead and put my faith in Qfile. I'm enjoying that they put the heat on RS to increase their GD limits:
Upload-limit: Unlimited! (Max. 50 MB per file! Split-archives allowed!)
Download-limit: Unlimited! (Some files have more than 100.000 downloads!)
RapidShare Happy-Hours: HAPPY HOURS! HAVE FUN! Its 07:28 CET (See FAQ!)

THE GAMING SITE!! But hey, if you consider pocket pool a game then storing our H!P/porn stash there might be the secret to all our problems! Make an account and the downloader doesn't need to sign up for an account to leech! and there's unlimited uploads/downloads!!
They were down over the weekend but now up and running again, but the tech support was fast to respond to my whining. Last time I checked, the files DL'd pretty fast at around 90 kb/s and uploading is good at around 40-50 kbp/s. 8)

I know. I've been "naming" my files in undecipherable ways like "MMHP2004" etc. Just avoid the words DVD and MP3 and shit. And yeah, I've been zipping almost everything except when I accidentally upped the Viyuden DVD Pamphlet:

Really good. That's the shit. You make an account and it's there under your directory and all. I've had shit running since Thursday nite and I have stats of over 3 GB bandwidth used on 1.8 GB upped, 46 files.
Though I have heard some links got "Not valid tag in 48 hrs" or something, but no complaints of the file being unable to download...
and I'll put it through even more rigorous testing: posting the links @ JPM!!
Right now upping Viyuden DVD pamphlet and it's taking 4 hours! not bad speed ROFL at about 53 kpb/s

Havent tried gdrive but it looks promising but you need a php enabled webserver to make it work i think :)
