I agree though, with pretty much everything you said.
They may not be the absolute best at everything right now, but they're new, and they'll obviously grow as they get more work and stay in the business. If we're just talking talent here, personally, none of the girls voices bother me at all, they're all enjoyable to listen to, and most of them can dance pretty damn well (as you said), the group is just been given uncomplicated dances for now. (Though I'd probably say Lightbulb and ReiRei are the weakest at dance, I can see them getting much better over time with as much practice as they'll be doing.) - Anchii could probably act well, seeing as she takes performing arts and theatre classes in college, but she wasn't exactly given enough screen time to do much of
anything.
On the whole "pretty" and "cute" thing, I've been running into that a lot today, and it's really starting to bug me. It's completely subjective, and changes from person to person. A lot of people think Anchii is ugly, but I think she's gorgeous, etc, etc.
I also take the stance that one doesn't have to be pretty, cute, or even attractive to everyone (there is always someone that will find -someone- attractive, even if most others don't), to be in a musical/Idol group, or have a "celebrity" (music, acting, etc.) career. As long as they have the talent, they should be able to put it to good use.
