I'm ONE EPISODE off finishing Armor Hero! I'll save it for tomorrow so I can fully take it in. I don't know if anyone else has watched the whole thing, I'll try not to spoil it but I do have comparisons to make. I think the last arc is probably where Dragon Knight got it from, although I would have to say I prefer the way Armor Hero did it. I think the arc based format is interesting, I think the second evil boss was the most effective though. If anyone else has seen it then maybe we can have a discussion!

Also semi related is it's made me realise I should probably try and weane myself off subtitles with specifically Japanese toku because I feel like the time is now. I've been watching sentai since 2006 and rider since 2007 and I think I still need subtitles to understand some sentences, but maybe I should stop making subs the main event. By all means, people telling me to stop using subtitles makes me want to use them more, I think you do need them to start with but when I watch a raw I feel like it's the pure experience and there's no Anglo-American commentary. I'd also like to start subbing in Welsh, no promises, so if I start downloading raws instead of subs then that would be more useful.

A couple things:

1) LOVE the notion of Hongo being the heel here. Fujioka has played rough & gruff characters before. Why waste a good voice? USE IT!

2) For the second time you see him whipping his arm into his henshin pose and there's NO sound FX. I sure hope they dub it in post.

I'm looking forward to seeing Kento Handa again, hopefully they'll stop neglecting Kuuga-Kiva apart from Den-O after this.

EDIT: Might have jumped the gun a bit, it may not actually be from the Akibaranger guys after all.

A new live-action super sentai parody show titled Kanpai Senshi After V (Cheers! Warriors After Five) will premiere on April 7. The show follows the Golden Warriors Treasure Five members who battle an evil organization around Akihabara. The comedy-drama picks up "after hours" when the members have a beer after fighting evil all day. The show was shot at the real Nijyu-maru Akihabara sake bar.

The series stars Ryota Murai (Kamen Rider Decade) as the red warrior, Kazuki Kato (Kamen Rider Kabuto) as the blue warrior, singer You Kikkawa (Kirarin Revolution, Sengoku Collection) as the pink warrior, Akihiro Kimura (one half of the Buffalo Goro comedy duo, live-action Moyashimon) as the aging yellow warrior, and stand-up comedian Tsubasa Tobinaga (one half of the Rubber Girl comedy duo) as the green warrior. Toru Hosokawa (Polar Bear's Café scripts) is directing the series.

Toei produced the Hikōnin Sentai Akibaranger (Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger) super sentai parody for two seasons. The show followed three "unofficial rangers" as they protect Tokyo's Akihabara otaku shopping district from the evil Malseena and the Stema Otsu Corporation, despite the fact it is all a ruse.

Now that they're coming out, I wonder how long they've been holding onto these photos? Production/Filming must obviously done for the most part, seeing as how the girl that plays the female lead is currently starring as the yellow senshi in ToQger. If the pics are recent, then they must have been taken for/during promo events?
