Title: The World of Warcraft Thread
Post by: Asmodai on April 18, 2006, 05:32:33 AM
I'm getting back into WoW again after a long hiatus. My summer job is long and boring.

So, I figured it would be cool to make a list of who plays and where their characters are.

My current main is Seithra - an Orc Warrior on the Kirin Tor server.

Played since March of last year.  Had about 130 days played between my two characters (60 Rogue, 53 priest).  The 60 rogue had been through MC/BWL/AQ40/AQ20/ZG/Ony.  Completely epic'd out 'n all, but the game just wasn't as fun as it used to be.  So I sharded all my gear and sent my friend the nexus crystals (24 total) so he could sell and get money together for his Sulfuras, Hand of Rag.

I have a night elf hunter on Emerald Dream named Konkon if anyone wants to party. I think I'll go reserve the JPH!P guild name just incase.

The JPHiP Guild is almost there. But I need more members. No one here has alliance on Emerald dream? I wanted to pimp the jpop through out WoW!

I thought WoW was getting sloppy before, but this is just ridiculous. They better add some unbelievable shit in that expansion if they ever want me to pay to play that game again.

It's more a boon for the alliance than for the horde. Paladins were never that powerful (or fun, really)... I'm interested to see how they'll change many encounters, since the main reason against giving horde paladins/alliance shamans before was that certain encounters became too easy if there were both paladins and shamans in the group.

I haven't played wow in a while, but my friends have been telling me of plans for inter-server battlegrounds and stuff... Might make me dust off my warlock and start playing again.

Paladins are probably the most beat class in WoW, any BE that actually decides to play pally will just be an alliance reroll . The problem with this (and WoW in general), is that the game is becoming watered down. It takes away from the limited uniqueness each faction already had. Instead of making race/faction less of an issue, they should be adding more classes/racial abilities perhaps, or focusing on more content throughout the general game/endgame content.

Forsaken are the best race either way, I can't lie

yeah, I'd rather get new content than reworked versions of the old content. Hopefully the expansion will have enough.

Well I decided to move my character to a new realm. But where should I move to? Are there any other players here who wanna team up? Should we make an JPH!P guild? Let me know what ya think. There are some new realms out now. So maybe one of them RP ones if no one here wants to hook up.
It would be cool to bring H!P to WoW...name all our characters after members and stuff. Or is that too silly?

WoW hits 8 million mark (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=71777)

Quote
If you assume that the subscriber milestone means roughly seven million people are paying GBP 8.99 a month to play the game, that's an income of GBP 62,930,000 ... a month! If I was Blizzard, I would fill a swimming pool with the money and buy a chimpanzee to enjoy it with.

I've been thinking about that recently.  With all the money on monthly dues it seems WoW would be a better game.  I'm not saying its bad at all but with that type of revenue WoW should have about 3 expansions by now.  Its taken over two years just to come out with one.
Title: The World of Warcraft Thread
Post by: edhead999 on January 14, 2007, 09:36:29 AM
The problem isn't the expansion, but the level of the content. You either have people who breeze through all the instances, or people who are stuck in the first epic-leveled instance. So either you're really bored, or you're a 'casual' type of player. Oh and their Player versus Player system is really bad now. Meh, it just seems like there's better stuff to do than spend ~15 a month. Because World of Warcraft just comes down to cybering and e-thugs. :(

I've come back to WoW after a year break.  I started up a BE pally.  I hope to get this one to 70.  I have never gotten a toon to lvl 50!  XD   I had about 6 or 7 characters between 35 - 45.

I had plans to make a BE pally before BC came out. I bought the expansion on release day and I haven't even upgraded my account yet. lol I don't think I ever will. I haven't played Wow in almost a month. XD

Post by: testype01 on February 15, 2007, 02:11:48 AM
i cancelled my account for the expa, i didn't like how the game was turning out. I rolled a orc warrior to 60 with some decent gear(mostly strat/scholo and some tier 1) and the moment the expa came out almost everything was replaced by greens from outland. Anyway, we all know the problems of warriors in WoW so I wasn't gonna stay to pay for that.

I doubt I could blast someone named Charmy or Mikitty. You should re-roll Horde, we're the cool kids on LH.

I haven't been able to play in a long time, actually. Getting a new computer in a few days, then i'm installing BC as fast as I can. I hear bad (worse than usual) things about engineering lately. Is it really that bad? Is my Mage engineer fucked? -_-

Start playing ASAP!

Engineering... I hear it's getting more and more useless. =( Sad, because I always wanted to do it because it seemed so fun!
And I think we all know how well mining is doing now. XD

@JPHP guild - Make it a new server at least...so we can dominate all the H!P names before anyone else does. XD

If I hadn't cancelled my account I would probably made my warrior miner/blacksmith, the new weapons are just nuts and the minerals are selling for a lot. And lol at that french guy that made to 70 in 28 hours after the release.

@JPHP guild that sounds a good idea, but it should be in some of the new servers, low population means less possibilities that the H!P names are used.

I used to play WoW but I cancelled my account in the beginning of last summer. While I enjoyed the game overall, I didn't really enjoy the endgame 40man raids. So I heard that they made the raid max to 25 players, which I think is a great change. 40 man raids were such a pain for me, it was more of a chore than having fun so I decided to quit because of that.

But after looking at info on Burning Crusade, I'm so tempted to start again! But it'll just make me waste a lot of time when I should be out looking for a job and stuff. Maybe I'll start playing WoW again when I have a good career settled down. I had a 60 Orc Shaman back when I played, but if I started up again I'd make a Hunter, I had always wanted to get one to 60 before.

And I heard 5 man's in BC take around 30 minutes now? That's really short and  a relief!

And I wanted to try to MC and stuff. Those seem abandoned now. XD

Not 30 minutes - unless you way out-level it.

More like an hour to an hour and a half. Still better than most of the old ones.

Post by: testype01 on February 27, 2007, 02:17:32 PM
Too bad the old content are now left alone, noone is going to UBRS/Scholo/Strat anymore. I think Blizzard should remake those instances to make them worth going like new drops or changing the level required to get there.

I just reactivated one of my 60s... out of boredom. Holy crap its dead everywhere, and AV@60 now is just funny. I think the expansion is a must at this point, everybody is at outlands and barely anybody is doing the pre BC content.

I still haven't upgraded any of my accounts to BC and I don't think I will. I have the box in front of me but it's just more of the same I guess. All my friends have stopped playing too so maybe that's one of the reasons I don't feel like grinding to 70 anymore. :(

Oh, I didn't know there was a World of Warcraft thread! I love this game. I've been playing for a few months now. =) My main character is a level 44 gnome on the Antonidas server. :D (Yes, I've been playing for months now and she's only level 44. My mom started at the same time as me and she's level 70. Grr.) Normally I'd post a picture of her, but I don't have a recent one out of the 649 pictures I took. XD (Not all of her, my other characters, too)

All of my family plays the game, actually. My mom, my younger sister, and aunt (who got us into the game in the first place). =P

also what is an armoury and is 70 the highest level you can get to? or is there more? And does it ever end? Cause that would kinda suck.....
Yeah, 70 is the highest you can get to, but I think they're raising it for the Lich King, but I'm not sure.

Tried to run some WSG, got tired of losing to Alliance fa..friends. Was also too tempted by hitting 50 and getting the Water Elemental. That bad boy is rocking more HP than me, 2/3 my mana. I've lagged a couple times, to come back and find that he's killed a couple mobs. Think I've completed every quest in the Hinterlands now, even that damned chicken escort one. Got a bunch of shit in Azshara lined up now. Most areas are dead when I'm running around. Not sure if it's because of being in Europe, and playing on a US server, and that everyone else is seemingly already 80 and rocking Northrend without me :wth

Halfway to 52 already, from halfway to 50 yesterday. Can't stop :panic:

Awwwright, halfway to 55 now. Wrapped up everything in Feralas, Un'Goro and Azshara this morning. The water elemental makes this shit easy. Can't wait to get going to Silithus, Felwood now.

Some 52 shaman decided it would be fun to attack me while I was in the middle of grinding mobs for quests. Had half hp/mana, blinked outta there, while my water elemental wrecked him for me to finish him off with a frostbolt. Good times. Not so good when an 80 paladin killed me for mining all the thorium up, though

Finally broke 300 engineering, rushing to 60 so I can built my flying mount. 299 mining, secondaries all nearly maxed to what they can be. Fishing & mining are pulling in a pretty penny, too.

fffffuuuuuuuu think im going to re-subscribe when the free time is up :panic:

Just hit 60 today. Outland is fun, save for being ganked by 80s that are bored. Hellfire is pretty cool, has a nice feel to it. Built my engineer mount too, was easy. :jerk:

Iron Council Hardmode (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7slBr8ZsqQ#ws)
Here's an old video of my 10s group downing Iron Council in Ulduar. Way overgeared for the content, lol. I've been fucked by RNG for drops way too many times. We're progressing well, although Anub 25 HM is still cockblocking us. I parsed near 10k earlier this week. Need a boot upgrade orz.

^ Nice job. 45 respecs? How much do they run now? :panic:

Found out the friend that got me to join originally is still playing, apparently sub-leader with another friend of a higher ranked guild on my server. Hoping to get in on some nice raid action finally. lol pugs

Hit 63 this morning, pushing 64 now. Completed almost every quest in Hellfire, halfway through the quests in Terokkar now. Pretty rare to run into anyone when questing, usually only see Alliance-friends at the control points.

Built myself a fel-iron toolbox, best idea ever. That with a mining bag, and my bank is finally organized. 326 Engineering now, can't wait to make: http://www.wowwiki.com/Destruction_Holo-gogs (http://www.wowwiki.com/Destruction_Holo-gogs)

50g a pop.

Not really that big a deal, although sometimes getting glyphs can be a pain. I respec regularly to try out any new specs.

50g? Stack of thorium + vendor trash at worst, really.

Got my first socketable item today, nice head piece. Threw down 75g for the gems to get +19 spellpower and +32 int extra. Figure this will last me until I work my engineering up enough for those sweet goggles. Seems like there's finally some nice gear + perks available through engineering.

50g respec costs doesn't seem like much till you're at endgame and pretty much respec all the time. I run with 2 PVE specs at the moment, but I'd kill for another one so I could at least PVP with it too.

http://www.wowwiki.com/Dual_Talent_Specialization (http://www.wowwiki.com/Dual_Talent_Specialization) - using that? Do want.. Hate when mobs are immune to frost.

Also, Nagrand is the best looking zone I've been in. Having a lot of fun hunting poor animals. :yep: Thought I could take the 67 elite talbuk for one of the Nesingwary quests.. hit for 1000, immune to freeze etc. Got told. Though, did get his health half-down. Had a 66 warrior bother me when I was fishing up some Bluefish, told him right quick. Do almost 1K with a frostbolt, over 2K on crit. :jerk:

Don't mind me, just killing elites solo. Was fairly easy. She got frozen a lot thanks to my frost armor + blinking, water elemental, and some nice crits, that sealed the deal. Don't mind the shitty UI, this laptop overheats when I have anything more on, and I disconnect.

Questing is a lot easier with flying mounts, when you have a named mob to kill. Just drop in close by, no more fighting through an entire village :bleed eyes: Also hit 65 now. 20 levels in 2 weeks, awwwright :jerk:

Just ran Hellfire Ramparts. First time in an instance with a group in over three years, last one I did was RFD Uldaman. Shit was easy, was the highest level guy (with a DK, two Druids, and a Shaman from 59-62), kept a good DPS without pulling any mobs. One guy died right at the end when he wasnt paying attention, but other than that we rolled right through. Picked up one shitty green that I'll AH, and didn't get the rares from any of the bosses. Thought it was going to be a lot harder than it was. Going to give BF a whirl later.

Awwwright, got my goggles. (http://www.wowwiki.com/Destruction_Holo-gogs) Had to get my mining up to 375 first, to be able to smelt khorium and hardened adamantite, then actually get enough adamantite to be able to make 6 bars worth of the hardened form (60 total). Had to flew in circles around Nagrand for 30 minutes, but I did grab some khorium and nice gems while at it, too.

Also: mobs that are immune to freezing :bleed eyes: Makes it impossible for me to finish a lot of quests on my own (looking at you, Nesingwary). Be able to solo just about every one of these elite-mobs, if it weren't for this shit.

Maybe I'll dual-spec in arcane after I get my epic flying mount and shit. 3 circles around Nagrand, had me three stacks of adamantine. Should pull in close to 150g with that (and more from the khorium, gems :jerk:). I already have almost every skill maxed, save for fishing which is a bitch. :bleed eyes:

Going to make the Area 52 teleporter soon. Ran around Blade Edge Mountains, looks boring. Netherstorm though, FFFFUUUUUUU. Just need to hit 67 to get some quests rolling.

Or 375, because I don't have WotLK yet. Love the fish I get in Outland though, huge HP/Mana gains.

Ran HR twice yesterday. First time everyone was on the ball, went through in 15 minutes. Grabbed some shoulders while at it. Second time, wiped. No one was over 60 save me, nor did they know how to pull mobs / manage aggro. Tried to run BF too, also wiped for the same reasons. We didn't even make it to the first boss on that one, sadly.

I did grab a shiny necklace though, and added some shiny gems. Crit for 2500 with a frostbolt now, so baller.

Darkmoon Faire = Useless - though, I finally had a way to get rid of those thorium widgets.

Seems like today all the bored 80s in the Alliance decided to attack cities and towns. An 80 Warrior/Priest combo was on top of the bank in Orgrimmar, and no one bothered to help kill them. 100 fucking 80s there just going derp. At least in TB people did something (was also killed repeatedly in Hellfire).

Flying around like a madman for adamantite and fel iron. Want to make my extra epic goggles, and epic flying machine right when I hit 70. 60% to 68 now, with 10 quests to wrap up in Netherstorm, which should put me there. Got the achievement for exploring all of Outland, too. :jerk: I've only ever seen three khorium veins ever, and I need khorium power cores for some field repair bots and epic mount. :bleed eyes:
Title: Re: The World of Warcraft Thread

50K experience from 69. My questing attempts in Netherstorm were thwarted by falling off the edge, getting stuck on an invisible ledge, then being unable to res from the edge above because I was stuck so far down. Fuck yeah, res sickness +  3G repair bill. Done the entirety of level 68 just today, even.

On the bright side, some farmer put up two stacks of khorium ore for non-buyout 7g50. Going to get those if it kills me. Also found out that the engineering supplier in Area 52 sells khorium power cores, so I have 5 now :jerk: Found three khorium veins today too, awwwright. Picked up two nice rings for when I hit 70, and have all the mats for the annihilator holo-gogs (save schematic, which isnt bop).

Guess I'll have to start doing dungeons finally.

Already 30% to 70 :jerk:

Got that khorium, thank god. Spent most of last night flying around Nagrand and Hellfire for ore to make repair bots. Need 100 more adamantite/fel iron ore to hit 375, then I can make my precious epic mount. I really need WotLK, would be so much easier just to run to Northrend and level my engineering just a tiny bit with a couple cobalt bolts or something.

Hit 70 today, hooray. Festival of new spells + upgrades. I have all the components for my epic eng mount, just not the artisan riding. Rocking 600g now, 400 potentially incoming on the AH now. Farmed ore in Nagrand for an hour this morning. I'll probably be able to afford that when I hit 80~~

Decided to buy WotLK as soon as possible. Got into my buddys guild, too. Sizeable, schedule events regularly. Feels good, man.

1/3 to artisan riding. Ore market plummeted, killing me.

It's like no one knows how to pull mobs anymore. Does everyone just skip the lower instances now or what? Started queuing for randoms until more people are on. Literally got in on the Botanica as they were slaying the final boss. Walked into the room as he died, still got credit for it.

Just ran through Shadow Labyrinth. DK, 2 Druids, a Priest and me. The DK was rushing, so we wiped in the first room, and nearly a couple other times because he wouldnt wait, and ran around aggroing bitches. Did over 1000 dps, 1.4 million damage (way above everyone else). Picked up some nice shoulders, some gold. Boring place though, save for when I was mind-controlled and killed two of the party.

I was afraid of being incompetent when I got to instances again, because of my time away, but apparently I could be far worse   :bleed eyes:

Ran Magister's Terrace earlier. Wiped 5 times. Picked up the 20 slot bag that drops, an epic pair of leather legs, some nice rare cloth bracers, and the phoenix companion (some dude flipped when everyone rolled need, and I won it).

Running Botanica earlier, we half-wiped a couple times. Got some rare gloves. Though, this disenchanter priest got another, nicer pair, a ridiculous caster dagger (when she had a better staff anyway), and some really nice pants with RYB sockets. Raged so hard. Then we never beat it, because they kept letting the final boss reset three times, and they all rage quit.

I'm not having much luck on the PUGs, always people sucking or bitching, and the group failing miserably (if I can even find one) :bleed eyes:
Title: Re: The World of Warcraft Thread

Because you're doing BC instances.

Half the people in them haven't even done them. There's practically no reason to do an instance more than once, especially in OL.
Title: Re: The World of Warcraft Thread
Post by: Amplifier on January 10, 2010, 02:29:34 PM
Don't people read about them on Wowhead or something first? Most people I PUG with don't even use Atlas, and are like "lol guiyz, hw many moar bossez//? we dun uyet kekeke"

It's like half of them haven't ever run any instance before. Most of them don't seem to know how to pull, keep aggro, or to watch out for patrols. Wiped a total of 6 times on Mechanar in one group earlier, because of this. 3 to the 4th boss, that bitch with the elementals. They were all 65-67, and she kept slaughteringclothwearer. Randomed into a group later, right at that boss, who went down instantly (no loot for me :bleed eyes:).

How is ICC going, mal?
Title: Re: The World of Warcraft Thread
Post by: maliciel on January 11, 2010, 06:27:52 AM
Like shit.

Or rather, my guild is falling back to its old ways of just waiting till a boss gets re-tuned before trying to progress. We're in the new wing of ICC, and you get only 10 tries on the last boss of said wing. The boss (Prof. Putricide) is hard. So we didn't do it, to wait for some strats. But yesterday, we didn't do it either. And to top it off my 10man group is facing some problems with our regulars too, and we only got 5 tries in. We were getting the fight, too.

I'm still bummed about the hotfix-nerf rogues got. I'm waiting for this week to see if I'm gonna re-gem all my shit. Need a real parse of my dps to see how badly I got hit..

They made that shit look easy there. Granted, the hardest instance I've run so far is MT or SH, so.. It's 10 tries a week, isn't it? Was reading about the airship battle business, sounds pretty awesome. Have myself Wrath in a week, hoping to rush to 80 to catch up on this shit.

Plenty of wipes, moaning and groaning, and rage quitting. Finally bothered to hit up Tanaris, so I'm hoping to try Old Hillsbrad later. Frostbolts crit for 3500 now, lovin it. Was for better drops that what I have, but I picked up some nice shit by now, and got some Northrend gear. Also for daily quest shit, boredom, etc.

I'm starting to level my Tauren shaman (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Lightninghoof&n=Ishibashi) again, pushing 36 now. Going resto, and enjoying it. Only people I've had die are under-geared tanks and melee mages. I get groups in about 30 seconds (even if they are all SM Lib right now..) Got me the Illusionary Rod, and battled pigs for a while to train the skill. In good groups I wind up going more dps than healing. I was in a decent PUG earlier, with me, a warrior, and 3 mages. Shit goes so fast when you have a tank aggro bitches, and three mages blizzard the shit outta them.. Never seen more than one mage in a group before, was

Figure I can get him to at least 40 before I get home, and get Wrath, after which I'll be back mage-ing it up.

Babes, finally got Wrath on Sunday. Hit 71 yesterday, then stopped leveling because of exploring Dalaran. Liking Howling Fjord a lot, Tundra is ok, but not quite as pretty. Not liking that the mobs hitting a lot harder, though. Been though a fair chunk of the land now, really impressive looking. Ran UK yesterday, and after an initial problem with tank/healer both being babies, we managed to beat it quite easily.

WOTLK instances are piss easy.

We go Prof. Putricide into phase 3, best wipe at 25%. Shit sucks. We're just not on par with all the other guilds in the world, at the moment. But I expect we will be able to down him next week, provided people pay attention, etc.

So I'd be 72 now, if it weren't for Patch Tuesday. Ran through UK some more, and Nexus a couple times. I do like that the bosses are getting a bit more involving (not just tank'n'spank shit), even if they are still fairly basic, and that the dungeons are getting much prettier. Picked up a nice blue wand in Nexus, will have some new gloves and a couple other things after I can hand the Nexus quests in.

Made a mad dash across half of Northrend so I could learn Portal: Dalaran. Dalaran though.. sucks. Tiny as balls (inbeforelolfloatingisland), pretty basic looking.

Made up a Death Knight so I can play with Amp, just cleared the starting zone, off to outland to grab so quick gear upgrades then it'll be off to dungeon a bit.

Do random instances, you get the bag of goods if you finish, which always has a blue inside.

Everyone roll a DK on Lightninghoof, we can have a DK party together :jerk:

Hit 74 today, thanks to a AN run. I love when druids queue as tank, when they fucking shouldnt. As soon as I see my aggro % jump to 50+, I know things are going to be bad. Picked up Life Staff of the Web Lair from the second boss in there, 250 sp + a 50 enchant, to put me over 800sp now. Gotta run around to get some quests for DK, Gundrak. Trying to save up to dual-spec in arcane, sounds like it should be better when running instances.

Ran DK in a random earlier, picked up a two blues from the bosses - necklace (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=35631) from the second boss and the staff from the King Dred (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=35633). Probably not the best things for a mage, but better than what I was running with. Pretty easy place, even only being 74.  My DPS and damage total was lagging way behind for most of the instance, but I wound up almost topping both lists at the end. Gotta love haste + crit boosters on bosses.

Hey guys, Asmo and I have rolled Blood Elfs, and we're leveling together. We're both 15-16 now. I'm a prot pally, and Asmo is a holy priest (I believe). Join in on the fun! Lets get a JPH!P guild going! :pimp:

Server: Lightninghoof
Me: Mergime (pally, skinning/backsmith) / Sayumi (my main, mining/eng)
Asmo: Elithvia (enchanting/tailor)

Hit me up here, in-game, or on IRC if you join. Spare us having to suffer through dps-warriors that think they're the tank, can't pull, can't keep aggro (after they wander into groups of mobs), stops for 10 seconds after the mob they're fighting dies, and don't know how to re-queue after everyone else leaves (because they inexplicably took leadership from me).

Asmo and I have our mains here, so we can provide extra firepower is needed for instances or something.

Just did Violet Hold for the first time, place was so easy. Had another mage constantly using Blizzard, even if there was only one mob. Facepalm x1000 :bleed eyes:

Discipline Priest so far, Holy later on. :)

(My main is Felinara, 80 BM Hunter)

I'm trying to convince my gf to give the game a try too.

Our beloved maliciel has joined ranks with Korisu, as a Shaman.

Me and Asmo are tearing up instances left and right, you know you want in on this. 2 more and we have enough to not worry about troll (literal and otherwise) hunters aggroing every mob in SFK!

Also hit 76 on my mage. Like VH a lot, because it's easy and cheap exp. Going to try out Gundrak later. Using Gnomish Lightning Generator a lot, thing is awesome.

Just hit 77, after running both Gundrak and HoS three times a piece today, with a bit of questing on the side. I'm just 300g from flying in Northrend. Would already have it if I didn't have to spend so much to make those engineering trinkets..

Bright side, I picked up 5 blues in the instances today. HoS is pretty cool, too.

Asmo spotted me 400g to pick up CWF. Thanks Asmo!

Ran HoL, grabbed two blues. Going to do a couple more runs later for the rest of the mage-drops, and hope I'm 78 before hitting up UP, in hopes of getting that caster-dagger and offhand there.

Always been running Frost spec, but after that 80 where they kept aggro quite well, think I'll be gunning to dual-spec with arcane asap. Thinking it'll be better to suffer lower DPS a bit longer with frost, while still being able to solo multiple mobs outside.

Post by: Asmodai on February 03, 2010, 07:17:43 AM
Hey all WoW'ers!

Amp and I are starting a guild and could use a little help getting it off the ground.

If you have a WoW account, could you make a level 1 Horde character on Lightning Hoof to get it started. The guild is called Harrow Mourning (:D) and I'll be Guild Mastering.

Find Delarel in-game, or post a message or on IRC if you're willing to help out.

More details once we get it established.

So I've hit 80 for the first time. I've completed a normal run on every dungeon, and heroic on all but CoS and ToC. Got lucky on my early heroics, was able to get decent groups, and got a lot of gear quick. I've got some pretty decent stuff going on now, and keep up with the pros now.

Picked up the Gargolye Femur from PoS(H), put the black magic enchant on, got my head enchanted too, and im working up decent gems for the rest of my gear. Went the typical 57/3/11 mage build, and the results are fantastic. With a good group and buffs, and I can hold 2500-3000 dps, though SimulationCraft says I can do nearly twice that (lol wut).

Also: why is Oculus still a big deal? Took all of 20 minutes to do on Heroic, included me who had never been there before. Got some blues, and 3 scarlet rubies from the goods bag at the end == 1 H Oculus == 150g+ Similar goods from my party mates, too.

I dunno, I never found Occulus hard either. Really the only very difficult part I've come across in Lich King is the Gauntlet. Maybe it varies by group composition?

I hit 70 yesterday, and making good progress through Northrend.

Get into a 25-man and your dps should match your simcraft output. Should, at least.

Pushed my dps to 4k yesterday, when running with guild mates. That was before upgrading some of my gear further, too. Held 3500 in Heroic PoS  this morning. Hoping to fix up my boots, back, and belt before my guild plans on running some raids on Tuesday (lol, Ony and ToC).

Also: Got the Jeeves schematic. Have like 448 engineering now, just need to make a couple more army knives. Have all the mats, including the make the titansteel for Jeeves. Just waiting on the cooldowns. But seriously, titanium is already a bitch to get, and 6 ore per titansteel? Give me a break on this cooldown bullshit. Bad enough Jeeves is worth a couple grand in mats to begin.

I'd still have the bogus cooldown to wait on.

Had a 5 man H-ToC ruined by two trolls, that started the jousting event, and then left the instance (but not group), and fucked around until the 15 mins was up. The other idiots that were in group left seconds before time was up, and we could have kicked them. People are so dumb.

Went to HoR for the first time tonight, and we wiped twice. Healer dropped, and then we waited for 5 mins, before one of them triggered the event and left.  Invis'd my ass outta there before the doors shut.

Don't get the whole "cant kick before 15 mins" is up. Some people afk into the things, or just troll like that. It's rewarding the trolls and punishing people that want to play. Sick of paying out in time and gold for it.

Did ToC 10 and Ony 10 a couple days back. Ony was really easy, and ToC would have been easy had I read about the fights beforehand. Got the achievements, and a 232 belt, so I'm happy.

Decided to get exalted with AD for the title. About 7k from it now, which is probably 2 clears of Strat. AND now that all my PVE gear is up to date (as much as possible with Triumph), and I'm saving for a shiny PVP set (even if it's the previous seasons arena set). Watched some videos with frostmage pvp, do want.

Asmo, Lajon, and I are all playing quite a lot now, rocking some 80s. Join with us, and we'll go questing, instancing, raiding together o/

Went to ICC for the first time last night. Got an extra slot with a guild, in a 10 man run. Besides dying at Marrowgar during his spin-fast-as-shit-and-murder-yall bit, I did pretty well. I did surprisingly OOM during Saurfang, but we managed to beat him without him casting his epic spell once. We killed up to the huge dog in Plagueworks before calling it a night, supposed to continue from there tonight. There's a lock and priest, and we all got shit already, so I'm hoping to have a chance at caster drops. (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50966)

I've also did Ony25 now, VoA a few times, and ToC25 twice. Though, the ToC25s never finished, one stuck on the twins, and the other Anub. Probably would have helped had two dps not left after wiping to Anub once.. lol enrage :bleed eyes:

How about those class updates in Cata? (http://www.wow.com/cataclysm/#aprilclasspreviews) I'm not entirely enthusiastic about the changes coming to my precious Mage, but I'm willing to give it a chance. Don't really give a shit about any other class, if I'm honest. Mage is the only one I seriously enjoy.

How about the official preview of the Hyjal zone? (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/cataclysm/features/hyjal.html)

Been leveling my tankadin, who is 28 now. It's not even funny how OP I am, I can already solo lesser dungeons, regularly do 40-50% of total damage, and only lose threat when there's a huntard playing tank. It's all over when I hit 30, everyone should just go home then.

So I left my guild with my Mage, in the hopes of joining a srs biz guild. Applied to the top Horde guild on my server two days ago, and my application is still open (when people are usually shut down instantly :bleed eyes:), so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

Picked up the BoE 264 shoulders in ICC25, and equipped dem badboys (lol 7K gold gone), and also grabbed a 264 frost chest. Been playing with fire spec a lot, and when I can actually let loose on bosses, I throw out some serious damage. Living bomb is great is there's a pally tank to keep aggro. I'm hoping to give it a proper workout in a ToC10 this weekend.

So I got into the top Horde guild on my server, and left a day later when I realized I'd rather take it up the :shakeit: than work for WoW. Fire spec is still god tier. My guild tried a quick run of ToC (all alts), and I was able to pull 8-9k with Fire easy. Unfortunately the tanks were both warriors, and couldn't keep aggro. :bleed eyes:

Mostly been playing my Shaman though. I've since taken him Restoration, and have determined that healing is awesome, both other shaman specs are small time. Feels good, man

Outland also confirmed for being the best part of WoW. I'm not taking another character past 70 until Cata :jerk:

Blizzard Entertainment Begins Closed Beta Test for World of Warcraft(R): Cataclysm(TM)

Quote
IRVINE, Calif., Jun 30, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Blizzard Entertainment announced today that the closed beta test for Cataclysm(TM), its highly anticipated new expansion for World of Warcraft(R), has begun. The company has started issuing invitations to participate in the testing process to a wide range of players from around the world who signed up via their Battle.net(R) accounts. While enjoying an early look at the game, beta testers will provide valuable feedback to help Blizzard Entertainment find bugs, address balance issues, and polish the new content.

"Our focus with Cataclysm has been to build on the knowledge we've gained through the previous expansions to deliver the best, most compelling World of Warcraft content for our players to date," said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. "Gathering focused feedback during the beta test will go a long way in helping us reach that goal when we launch Cataclysm later this year."

Cataclysm is the third expansion for World of Warcraft, the most popular subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game in the world. The first two expansions, The Burning Crusade(R) and Wrath of the Lich King(R), each shattered PC game sales records upon their release. In Cataclysm, the face of Azeroth will be forever altered by the return of the corrupted Dragon Aspect Deathwing. Players will explore once-familiar areas of the world that have now been reshaped by the devastation and filled with new adventures. In an effort to survive the planet-shattering cataclysm, two new playable races -- worgen and goblins -- will join the struggle between the Alliance and the Horde. As players journey to the new level cap of 85, they'll discover newly revealed locations, acquire new levels of power, and come face to face with Deathwing in a battle to determine the fate of the world.

For more information on World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, please visit the official website at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/cataclysm. (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/cataclysm.) So I've been killing a little time with a free week of playtime Blizz gave me. The talent tree changes for Mage and resto-Shaman seem agreeable enough. I don't especially like the talent tree restriction, but it's not killing my mage either. Readily been doing 7-10k dps in dungeons now, hoping to find a nice ToC or ICC10 later on.

Also: HAET having to replace half my gear and gems, now that spirit is useless, and they converted items to their liking.

Time for my yearly bump

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor Announcement Trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYueIdI_2L0#ws)

Warlords of Draenor: Remaking a World (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMzeih7_7Hc#ws)

So how about that new expansion? I like a lot of the new things they are adding, and things they are changing. It'll be nice to head back to OutlandDraenor, because BC was my favorite time in WoW. Nagrand, let's go!

I also read that Gamestop will be offering MoP for $10 on Black Friday, and two-month game cards for $5.. Fuck.
