i don't follow DC much, but my fav heroes be Batman (of course) and Green Lantern.

I've been thinking about trying to get into DC more, but you comic nerds know how hard it is to just jump in like that. I wanna read final crisis, but that means id have to read the other 2 crises and related material. a little daunting, but im still thinking about it.

Just finished reading Kingdom Come, and it was fantastic.  Alex Ross is the man @_@

As for my favorite DC Comic characters, I think I'd have to pick Flash (Wally West)

I'm a Marvel Zombie to be honest, however; I've been reading DC stuff.  Sadly I've not read any comics for a long time.  I am looking into The Darkest Night featuring all the Lanterns.

Fave DC heoroes: Batman, Flash(Barry Allen, Wally West), GL (Hal Jordan), Robin (Tim Drake), Green Arrow
Fave anti-hero: Lobo, Guy Gardner(?)
Fave Villains: Deathstroke, Joker, Luthor, Prof. Zoom

Just finished with Batman R.I.P. It started strong but it spiraled down as it ended. Maybe I just need to read the other tie-ins. Bruce ain't the Batman anymore.

Still waiting for the new issue of Final Crisis.

WAR AKARI!!! Infernal Ninjutsu, Hidden Lore...Freedom of Opposites Technique!!! Rest in peace Kyle,Jab,Mom,Tita, ChrNo...

The tie-ins were SO much better. Though Robin started getting a little iffy toward the end. Nightwing didn't even have too much to do with RIP, but it was still decent. Detective Comics however, had a better story line than any of them, imho. But I also don't like Grant Morrison, so...

You so don't have to read the other two crises to get into this one. I think most of them can kind of stand alone. Like, they all effect the universe and all that stuff... but you don't have to read one to understand the others. I'd just start with Final Crisis 1 now, Ten. :D

Did anybody read Final Crisis 6?

This is where Batman RIP was REALLY supposed to conclude, apparently. I actually liked this issue a lot because stuff actually moved forward plot-wise (at least a lot more than it has been). Though the whole Superman bit at the beginning made me start to think the ending to this might be a giant cop-out. I hope not.

I've not been stateside in almost 2 years so I'm far behind on my comics, esp. with Final Crisis beginning after I left.  I've been reading online copies of Green Lantern, though.  I'm hyped to see if Hal Jordan will become the leader of the Blue Lanterns.  I did see in a preview, that Superman of Earth-2 will be one of the Black Lanterns.  Who I assume will be led by the Black Hand, given the insignia on the rings.

I can not waaaait for the Blackest Night to really start. I think it's going to be more epic than Final Crisis.  :yep:

Superman (Earth-2) and Aquaman will be Black Lanterns from these ads.
Also Martian Manhunter!

Saw those just recently! Still can't wait!

Also, I read the first Flash: Rebirth this evening. Definitely recommend it. I'm really excited to see where the Flash universe is going now that all four Flashes are back (including Bart, omg).

And next week is Battle for the Cowl: Part 2! Already read a preview and man-oh-man. It's so fast-paced... and it's been so good so far, too. Epicness all around.

I've just finished reading issue 0 of Blackest Night.
Looks to be a good one.
I also had no idea there other groups or corps that also had rings but in very different ways.
Are these other corps just being introduced, or have they already been around for a while?

I'm gonna have to check around and see what I might be able to learn about this.
"Yo, microphone check one, two, what is this? The five foot assassin with the roughneck business"
"Are you my mummy?"
"Hello, Sweetie."
"Who's scruffy looking?"

I think most groups are either relatively new or haven't been introduced like this before. I'm REALLY wondering what the Indigo lanterns do. There's still no explanation for them. But Blackest Night #0 was pretty cool.

I'm also waiting on the conclusion of Battle for the Cowl.

Haha. I went and bought it this morning. I'm not too surprised on the outcome.

The ending was weak though. What the hell, Jason Todd?
