A reversal of fortune it seems! While previously, the established pattern was selling more & more regular edition, & inversely less & less (relatively) DVD editions. Does this reversal of trend indicate greater growth among casual fan-base, & a stagnation in the wota population as recent HS results might be suggesting? All in all tho, I guess this is certainly a silver lining considering the growth of sale isn't much.

Nogizaka46’s 5th single “Kimi no Na wa Kibou,” which went on sale on March 13, has sold 242,000 copies and grabbed first place on the March 25 Oricon Weekly Single Ranking.

This is their fourth consecutive first place ranking which first began with their 2nd single “Oide Shampoo” (went on sale last May.)   This is the first time since their debut that they have sold over 200,000 copies within the first week of a song release; their previous single “Seifuku no Mannequin” (went on sale last December) sold over 233,000 copies, but their current single has already broken that record.

Their current single is a medium-tempo ballad about the start of a romance.  Their music video was directed by Yamashita Nobuhiro, who also directed the film “Linda Linda Linda.”  The video duration totaled 25 minutes which shows the members auditioning for a film.

Nanamin's is one of the most creative one! I love the long-haired Nanamin shown & the general artistic feel of this bonus video!


Hinapyon's is really well done! The mix of horror & quirkiness blend in really well! Strongly recommend! Credit to ikustan for uploading!

Marika once again got a song of her own unique style! This bonus video garnered the most views for it preview too!


Captain Sakurai have the good fortune of having my favorite director of the bunch being responsible for her video! This video is quite original despite a lack of budget lol. Credit to naruse for the subtitles!

It look like Kazumin is getting associated with English terms now, from Amazing to Positive, & now to Don't Mind! Her singing bit was great too!


For Ikuchan it was a day to appreciate her! Not creative as the others but its good just to see her enjoying her days & see the pretty pictures!


Maimai's is nice in a way, but generally dull I say. Not much to say here methink.


As for Sayunyan's she does some stop motion. Quite dull for me unfortunately..


Yukina finally came back from her hiatus due to her studies! Unfortunately I never digged the Seifuku choreo, & the lack of live singing was rather disappointing too.


For Ito Nene its a rather bland video for me, which is really sad.
