My new favorite nerd! I just finished Akihabara@Deep too and I gotta admit that Hatsune was fucking awesome in it. For some reason I kinda prefer that geeky look over her gravure idol look. I like her blog pix more than all those scantily clad gravure pix. Even her IVs would be more entertaining if she was playing video games/being geeky in them, instead of just posing in bikini :P

Well, I'm about 8 years late to the party, but having just watched Akihabara@DEEP I just had to look around for more about Hatsune Matsushima. Her character in that drama seems quite different from the idol work she was known for. Stunningly gorgeous and with quite a personality according to your comments about her blog site - which I haven't seen yet. It all seems so sad to realise how short the career can be for an idol. If she had made a career as an actress we could still be seeing her around.. but I suppose there are thousands of newcomers waiting to take her place. I find that quite depressing, as it makes her seem disposable and temporary. This must be something that idol-fans become used to. The short shelf-life and ever-changing trends make a 26 year old sound like a senior citizen.
