Tetris Battle Gaiden on the SNES.
It was really fun with it's crystal powers and cute characters. Too bad it was out in Japan only, so a lot of people don't know about it.
It had some nice music too.
Here's some gameplay with Halloween (Castlevania x Pocky and Rocky
) and Queen's (Final Fantasy boss theme x early 90's Japanese disco
) stage music.

Another soundtrack I had to put on my mp3 player is for
The World Ends With You
. I find you appreciate the songs more once you're actually in the game, and getting you through the flow of battle, or just generally walking around the streets of Shibuya. It's a very cool soundtrack to what I consider to be the best game on the DS.

From the Koudelka Soundtrack, one track, two versions, both awesome in their own ways (though I prefer the relaxing mood of the live version over the original)

Just reached a particular area in Metroid Prime 2. Samus crosses through the swamplands of Torvus Bog, the music below just perfectly complimenting your exploration through an alien world. Completely absorbing throughout in the context of gameplay:
And as you continue through the swamplands you eventually discover the entrance to a submerged temple. And it was one of those moments where I just set the controller down and absorbed it all. Haunting yet beautiful. A feeling that all is calm, yet the worst is still to come.

Heard this hidden track on Left 4 Dead 2, meaning it's another song by Jonathan Coulton on a Valve game. Long may it continue. I was listening to the song and laughing along with it when it hit the chorus, and I kinda sung along during the middle when I was interrupted with the sound of gunfire. A zombie horde had arrived when it said "All we wanna do is eat your brains"

Haha, I love Jonathan Coulton's songs (Code Monkey ftw)
When I first started the motorbike stage I was like "WOW, awesome track... and sounds strangely familliar" (and it made dying a hundred times much more enjoyable
) but it was not until I listened to the OST when I saw it was a remix of Afterburner's Theme... though I can't really remember ever playing Afterburner *shrug*

I still think that despite how epic Ken's or Guile's theme songs are in the history of the series, and how well they're known to anyone who's not a SF fan, I think Cammy's is the definitive SF song for me. Anytime I hear it, I immediately want to start playing. It's something special.
And Fei Long's is pretty badass

I have no idea why I like it that much since on the surface it is a rather bland song *shrugs*

One of my most foolish game related decisions was in selling
Dark Chronicle
. A game with endless levels of charm, engaging and varying gameplay with a lot of depth, gorgeous visuals and of course, it's soundtrack:

^ That reminds me of the first game I ever owned (along with smw), Joe & Mac!
HEY!
Gahhhh such a fun and great game.
More Shatter because it's sooooo bad ass and my favorite soundtrack of this generation. Kind of a throwback to the old days of great video game tunes with a modern touch.
That bass line gets me every time.
