Ok, dream is one of the greatest Jpop group. But, IMHO, the best time of dream when it only had 3 members.
The Start of Dream
On Jan. 1st, 2000, AVEX holded an audition called "AVEX dream 2000" (the same audition that Miki Fujimoto went, see here: http://www.jpop.hu/Dream/dream-audition-fujimoto.jpg (http://www.jpop.hu/Dream/dream-audition-fujimoto.jpg)). They were going to choose 3 winners out of 15,000 girls who tired out.

dream was more euro j-pop but had a lot of great singles.
After the 13th single, Mai Matsumuro left dream to pursue a career on songwriting. So on July 8th, 2002, dream added 6 more girls to the line up for appeal.

I saw Yu and Kana perform just this past weekend over at A-Kon. They kicked ass and I got their autograph and a pic with them.

Yeah really, like 3 or 4 people were actually into Get Over, and that's one of my fave songs of theirs...

Some dream news:
- A new site has just been launched for Yu and her new PB has just been released :oops:
- Ami Nakashima and Aiko Kayo are going to become a subunit. AVEX is running a competition on their site right now asking fans to submit name suggestions for the new duo group.
- Kana recently injured her arm during futsal practice a few weeks back - but she should be able to play again in this month's futsal tournament.

dream will be releasing new music beginning at the start of next year! :yay: According to CD Japan, their new album, 7th Anniversary Best, will be released on 1/1/07 and will have 3 different jacket covers! Here is the short synopsis:
"Seventh anniversary greatest hits album from dream features 23 tracks spanning everything from their debut single "Movin' on" to their latest release "Transit-independence-." This limited edition version includes bonus DVD with their complete music video colection and photo book (with a signature from one member of the group!). cool I need to save money for the secret santa but I love Dream and I wanted to buy their last cd. I got to think about what I want to buy.

^ This is definitely a must-buy for dream fans :heart: It has their entire discography up til now, from both the original 3nin and the new 7/8nin~ Plus, the bonus extras alone are enough of a reason to buy! I'm going to get the Limited Edition for the signed photo book :heart:

Yeah I just heard the new song a week ago and loved it. Its good to hear other members on vocals this time instead of Kana all the time.

[Dream &] E-girls' Ami to make her solo debut this summer

It's been revealed that Dream and E-girls member Ami will be making her solo debut this summer.
This announcement was made on April 29 at the finale of E-girls' nationwide tour 'E-girls LIVE TOUR 2015: COLORFUL WORLD' at Saitama Super Arena. During the encore, the screen on stage displayed "Ami to make her solo debut this summer", which brought loud cheers among the crowd. The reason for Ami's solo debut is to further E-girls activities. More details on her solo debut will be revealed at a later date.
Towards the end of the concert, Ami said, "I'm surprised myself. This summer will mark 14 years as a member of Dream, but I never imagined challenging myself to such new things." She added, "As a soloist, I hope to show different sides of myself. Please cheer me on."

Ami (E-girls, Dream) will release her solo debut single "Dress wo Nuida Cinderella" on July 15.
Ami's solo debut was announced on April 29 at the finale of E-girls' nationwide tour 'E-girls LIVE TOUR 2015: COLORFUL WORLD' at Saitama Super Arena. No specific details regarding her solo debut were revealed during that time.
On Ami's birthday May 11, her official website 'Dream Ami' launched and revealed her artist photo. More details on the single will be revealed at a later date, so stay tuned!
