I can put the religion aside if the lyrics aren't obvious about it and the music's good. The songs I've heard thus far are ok, haven't really taken to them so strongly but I do like this song a lot.
Religious stuff aside, the thing that ruins that band for me are the male vocals.
Sticking with female fronted metal (and uninteresting male vocals), the new Lacuna Coil:

Female fronted metal is so popular in South America. This Mexican band toured with Epica. They use all the basic elements, and it I think this song is pretty catchy:
I think their vocalist replaced Simone from Epica for one of Epica's tours in that region when she had some appendix troubles at the time.
Btw, anybody happen to have Infinite Dawn - The Enigma Of Reign? They're long gone, but their 4 songs were pretty good IIRC. lol
