Who was Baseball's Team of the Decade?
« on: November 06, 2009, 11:01:25 AM »
With the Yankees win, one begs the question...

Who was Baseball's Team of the Decade?

Yankees and Red Sox come straight to mind. The League's two biggest payrolls, and most consistent playoff and regular season records. Curses end. 27th Championships. The storylines are endless. Even the Phillies or Cardinals with a title and runner up appearance.

DEBATE!!

I go with the Red Sox based on this point, even though Yankees has been in more over the period but they have consistency without certain important players and that is my sticking point.  Red Sox 2-0  Yankees 2-2

I guess the damn Yanks.  More playoff appearances, two World Series titles and probably the most wins in the decade (didn't check but there's a lotta 97-101-win seasons.

He does provide the facts to prove it but I think that the previous season of them missing the playoffs has some weight on it to
