Title: The marimari memorial thread (Rest In Peace)
Post by: KagoBon on July 30, 2006, 08:56:55 PM
marimari will not be coming back. While I was eating breakfast, my father came to me and told me that marimari is dead. I couldn't believe it, but when I went into his room, he was cold. My brother, Kyle Bouvier, hid from you something he had. He had Muscular Dystrophy, a disease that wastes away your muscles. He has been in a wheelchair since he was ten. He passed away in his sleep, peacefully. Thank you all for being a good friend to him. I'm sure you'll miss all of his Risa pics.

mod edit:
here's a memorial sig by boykun you can use to honor marimari

This just comes as a terrible shock... I'm really sorry for your loss KagoBon.

Your brother was a kind and laid-back person, and always positive. I remember when he disappeared for a longer time here in the forum, everyone got worried and then when he returned, he got the grandest welcome back ceremony. I'm glad I got to know him at least a little.

I'm just really numb right now. Rest In Peace, marimari.

Rest In Peace, Kyle

I'm speechless. Why do the good always die young?

My condolences to Kyle's whole family and his friends. Kyle was truly one of the most loved members of our community. Kyle is the nicest person I have ever met. He was always positive and never selfish. He never, and I mean not even once, said anything bad about anybody. The world would be a better place if we had more people like Kyle.

I will remember him everytime I see Risa

ok... now that I've collected myself I'd like to say a few words.

I've always had a fear that something like this could happen. But I never imagined that it would actually happen. Marimari was definately one of the most loved members of the foreign H!P community. He unofficially holds the title of "The Upload King", and what an awesome king he was. He always shared so much, be it digital information or his friendship. And he did it all from the kindness of his own heart. If you had trouble with anything and he knew a way to help, he was always there to give you a hand. He has helped me and shared with me so much there is no way I could have ever returned the favor. Marimari was definately one of the greatest friends I've ever made through the internet and I'll miss him greatly.

My condolences to all of his family and friends.

I'm sure marimari was smiling for all of us as he walked through the Gakigate into Risaland.

Man this is too much of a shock. My deepest condolences to you and your family KagoBon.  Mere words can't begin to express what you're brother has brought to this community (and I'm not referring to the pictures and other files he uploaded) and how much we all hold him in the highest regard.  Kyle is one of the coolest dudes I've ever met online. Even without meeting him face to face, even though most of us have just talked to him here on the forum or on the IRC, he's the type of guy that you automatically know you'll be good friends with.

He's not gone though, not really. We all will remember him and as long as we do that, Kyle will still be here in spirit. We'll all do our best to keep up the Risa-fandom for him.

RIP marimari. God speed dear friend.

I'm in shock.  Marimari was a lovely person and will be missed.  My condolences to you and your family KagoBon.
I believe that once our life here on Earth ends it's not the end, that we move on to some place else, so he's not gone, merely gone on ahead a bit earlier than the rest of us.
Hopefully that makes sense, I don't really know what to say right now.  I cried reading this thread, tears running down my face for someone I've never even met.
RIP marimari.

well, so.. I went to play guitar a little after reading KagoBon's blog and making those graphics(they were hard to make, I got all teary eyed and had to stop a couple times, so use them! :P) to relax and get my mind off things. but alas, some tears started flowing down my face while I was strumming along to Koi no Uta (http://breakfasttime.net/jphip/go!go!7188-koinouta.mp3). holy crap! I haven't cried over something like this since my uncle's when I was like 7!
this has been the second time something like this happened, to me at least. the first being a good member of the jpop.com forum, when I was still a part of it. but I never cried about it, and I didn't think i would now.. guess I was wrong. lol

marimari really was one of the most loved members of the community. all those things he's given us(with superfast upload speed!).. man..

rest in peace. here's 1200 for you

Even though it was last year it feels like yesterday when he first pm'd me on irc "are you new to H!P?" lol then he had told me the difference between the sub-groups and shuggle groups. Introduced me to other members, we pretty much pm'd each other everyday talking about either H!P or racing heh of course he was the one giving me the info, until I left for a while. He pretty much told me most of the things I know about H!P. Thank You Marimari, no, Kyle. May you rest in peace and follow Risa your angel into the heavens. this is sad news

KagoBon, i hope you and your family get all the emotional support to help overcome the pain of the losing a love one.

i know this feeling becauase I lost a grandparent recently. its been a few months now.

it can be hard to deal with. the more emotional support you get, the better because it takes a long time to get over. there will be many days of darkness and endless sorrow. eventually you will reach the light at the end of that dark tunnel with your family and friends at your side

It must be extremely to marimari's family to lost someone so dear, someone so sweet......but I am sure marimari has moved onto a better place now, a place where he can live in joy, happiness, and away from all trouble.

This is truely a sad day. Kyle was such a strong, funny, and generous person. I have trouble putting into words how much of an important person he was to  me and this community. He was so nice to everyone, gave so much, and NEVER complained about anything. To think that he was going through so much pain and hardships, yet he still came here with a smile, always positive. I consider myself very lucky to have known Kyle, even if just for a year and a half.

They say that you can measure the merit of someone's life through the memories they leave with the people around them. That's why marimari will continue to exist, through the minds and hearts of the people he knew in his life, including here. KagoBon, I hope you and your family see what people are writing here, so that you can see how much his friendship meant to everyone. There are people from all parts of the world hurting right now because of this. Proof that Kyle was a great person.

This is a tragic blow to the community here. I never got a chance to talk to him, but I know that he is in a place where he will never have to suffer again. I know that Risa is watching over him now. Godspeed, marimari

Not really sure what to say right now. I only idolised him, before I came here. But on meeting him he turned out to be such a great guy. A year on, and I still think that way. Condolences to you and your family, KagoBon. I, for one, will always remember Kyle.

Wow, thank you! I'm sure Kyle will be happy to know you guys cared this much. For him, I'll try to keep up with new Morning Musume stuff, but I'm clueless of where he downloaded all this stuff.

Anyways, I wish you could've of met him in real life. Even if my brother was bound in a wheelchair and couldn't walk or use his arms, he still continued to smile. My family were his arms and his legs. Kyle died just this morning, so it's really hard and I'm having trouble accepting the fact he is gone.

Even now, I can hear him and telling me how much he couldn't wait til Aibon comes back. Or how much he didn't want Konkon or Makoto to leave Morning Musume.

All I can remember are the words my dad said to me this morning: "Kyle is dead." It won't stop repeating in my head.

I don't believe there is anything I could say that could express my remorse over Kyle's passing better than what everyone here has already said; particularly Masa, SITS, JFC, and Harlock.  Kyle was the most beautiful person that I've had the fortune to meet, he had the unique ability to brighten the lives of all those he came across.  Just as Risa became the Idol that brightened his life, he has become the Idol that brightens ours.  Kyle, your memory shines on in all of us.  Rest in Peace, old buddy.

We can't imagine the emotions you must be going through KagoBon. We wish we could do more to help. Just you telling us of his condition, makes him inspire all of us to better people. Thank you and your family for providing us marimari aka Kyle.

I will regret for the rest of my life that I did not make an extra effort to meet up with marimari when we brought the JPH!P crew through SoCal.

We can help you carry on your brother's love of Morning Musume right here.  Browse the forum and you'll bound to find a goodie or news item that kept Kyle so passionate about his hobby. There's The Asshole (http://forum.jphip.com/forumdisplay.php?f=19) forum with the Discography thread that he practically maintained, an archive of Sports Festival DVDs where he seflessly upped many files, the list goes on and on.

As echoed by everyone, Kyle was the model citizen. Never criticized you or your opinions, and would always tack on a "Risa <3" If we got too perverted, he'd respond "ew" - if everyone acted 10% like marimari the world would be a better place.

Mourn you till we join you homey.

KagoBon, you brother was one of the few people whom I know that were really truly generous to those around him. Despite how much he gave and gave and kept giving, he never demanded love or credit, never complained. He never put it to people as to how much he was giving and not getting back. He was more than willing to share what he had with the rest of us, including his love for Risa and his passion as a H!P fan, and he was always humble about it. Many of us here, including myself, have lost a very good friend today. He is very much missed and it pains me much more than I can say to know that I will never ever be able to go "marimari!! ^o^" at him ever again.

marimari, it hasn't been very long, but thank you very much for having been a part of my life. I will keep you in prayer.

Have a good trip to Risaland marimari!! ^o^

I don't him too well...cept for the fact that he uploaded the first 12 H!P Digital books over at H!T. He never continued so I upped the next ones (13-current, which is #21). When I moved over to this forum from the H!O forums, I was going to up them here on this tracker but I found that he continued them here...till now.

So RIP marimari. We were probably the only 2 with accounts for the digital books and actively uploading them to places...and now you're gone...I guess I can continue here with the H!P Digital Book goodness if everyone's ok with it. Gotta keep sharing the wealth and joys of those exclusive pics.

Kyle a.k.a. marimari 1983-2006
23 years young forever

Kyle made regular, substantial and well-designed contributions to this Forum, and added to the lives of so many of us here.

His last post in the Forum was to add the 4th and final volume of Rika & Sayu Angels (H!P Digital Photobooks #21), for which I personally will now ALWAYS remember him.

I am so glad that he lived to see and enjoy Risa's latest Photobook - he must have loved seeing her come to her full flowering of beauty and poised maturity.

Kyle, I only knew you through your work for so many here - but you will be much remembered and sorely missed.

If your sweet sister, known to us as KagoBon, chooses to remain amongst us and participate in the Forum, we will show her care and respect in your memory as she grows up and shares the happiness brought by H!P among us all.

May you rest quietly and peacefully, Kyle, the suffering that you never complained about or even mentioned to us now at an end.  Wherever your heaven may be, I pray that you will hear the chorus of Momusu and all your favourite H!P members forever singing your most special numbers, and that the sweet face of Risa may be your vision always.  If you had other joys about which we know nothing, may they be there too.

And for your sister and family - may they know peace in the memory of all that you meant to them in the time you were with them, and knowing that you had so many friends in the far flung reaches of this world.

Eternal peace be yours marimari

I'm deeply saddened by this. marimari was such a sweet human being and was liked by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure and privilege of meeting him online. He would actually bend over backwards to help you in any way to find something you were looking for. He helped me in such ways... many times. We, often joked and had light-hearted conversations about our jpop fandoms and interests. These are pleasant memories that I will never part with.

He was someone you looked forward to seeing in chat and on the forums... and were disappointed when he WASN'T around.

I'm away from home for a few days, and I was looking forward to coming back and seeing all the familiar people I enjoy talking to in the forum and the irc.  This morning, when I was checking the forum as little as I could, I noticed the sig that some where using, and that's when I found this thread, full of beautiful messages about someone who I was looking forward to chatting with again.

My condolences to you, Kagobon, and your family.  The words that we express here about Marimari aren't strong enough.  Through the difficulties I'd have with other forum members, that'd sometimes make me want to just leave, Marimari was a shining light of enthusiasm, and he meant a lot to me as a friend on the irc.  Hopefully we can learn from Marimari's time with us, and grow to be the same enthusiastic people who can inspire all these messages of friendship and hope.

I'll miss you, Kyle.

Wherever people come together to share information and files about a common subject they are interested in - be it trackers, usenet, boards - you tend to meet people (and get inclined to act that way too some times) who only see themselves. Be it posters who upload to booster their own ego or lurkers who can only demand but never say thanks. You encounter bickering and flames, trolls and idiots. Or people who are just thoughtless (in varying degrees).
I haven't been around trackers for a long time, being based on usenet mainly, so I didn't meet marimari in person, but his death did move me a lot. And reading the comments about his character makes me sad not to have had the opportunity to talk to him. It shows that any community like this can serve a higher purpose, far more important than what we allow ourselves to see at most times.
marimari brought us an immense joy with his postings and way of conducting himself, and on the other hand received a lot of love and friendship through being able to share and communicate with those around him in cyber space. Especially given his condition.
And THAT is what trackers, usenet, boards and the like can and should be. And which is so much more and important than some files.

RIP marimari and watch out over us, so we may not forget.

Finally reached 1200 posts, and just felt like using it to bump this thread for marimari.  You know its funny, the only PV that I've actually purchased is Risa's 1st one, which I actually got from shirenu.  Now whenever I look at it, it will always have another meaning to it.  It will remind me of the endless kindness that marimari shared with us.  Thanks again, I wish I could tell you one more time in person.

Here's my #1200, I dedicate it to you.

When I catching up from my trip on LiveJournal, I caught daigong's post on on of the H!P communities, I couldn't believe. I was very shock and broke down in tears/depressed (sometimes I still almost breakdown when I see or mention about it). and in disbelief. Kyle, or marimari to me, was one the best online buddies there was. Whenever he come on the chat, he was so about Risa/H!P and so happy and playful (Funny thing, he made me become a Risa fan after all his pictures and talk about her). And I was sooooo excited to see him when he came back from his hiatus that I wish myself (personally) could give him a hug.  He was such a beatiful person with an amazing soul even with his MD. But when I think as it now, Kyle is in a better place right where he can see Risa and all his buddies 24/7.

My condolences are with parents and to the KagoBon. Words cannot expression the pain you feel when losing the most beautiful/amazing friend and family member in this world.

My condolences to KagoBon and the rest of Marimari's family.

I never knew him, but from what everyone else said, he seemed like a really nice person. Risa fan eh? I used to be one of those. And now, since Konno's left, I'm probably going to start liking Risa again.

Knowing nothing about marimari, I have not much else to say. May he rest in peace, with all his Risa angels. All I can do now pray that he is in a better place. It is truly heartwrenching when somebody close to you dies.

RIP, marimari.

My condolences to Kyle's family...

I'm sorry this is late, but I guess it'll never be too late to remember marimari.

Marimari/Kyle was one of the first regular members on our IRC channel, and ever since I first joined that channel he also became a part of my every day life. He was always there when I woke up before heading to university, and it was great to have him there keeping up the cheerful atmosphere.

I found his love for Hello! Project members cute and I think he was able to avoid all the negativity that so many other H!P fans have, including me. I'm so jealous of his ability to love and accept everyone in H!P as it's exactly what I've tried to do as a fan. I'll especially remember him being the only fellow Meguru fan around when I first created her a birthday thread. He'd love even members whose names some H!P fans didn't even want to know.

I remember one the silly puns I made to Kyle, "mari me marimari" :D If you don't get it, it's ok. He didn't either :D I'm glad I got to thank him for a lot of help that gave me, but I never thanked him for being the sweet guy that he was... I wish I had.

I still can't help but cry when I realize I'll never get to talk to him again, say "HI MARIMARI!!!!" or smile at something cute he says. He was a really great guy and I will never forget him.

Rest in peace in Risaland

Sari

Title: PM I wrote to Kagobon
Post by: Mayo on August 13, 2006, 04:06:39 AM
Dear Kagobon,

I sorta know what you're going through. I've had four great-uncles die from cancer and then my grandpa having a scare with colon cancer.

I know that with each of those deaths in my family, I was able to find comfort knowing that they didn't have to suffer anymore.

Remember that your brother isn't suffering with his disease. Think of him running around and being able to use his limbs up there in heaven, not having to worry about the physical obstacle of his wheelchair. Also think of him as your guardian angel, looking down at you and watching you grow up.

My condolences, Mayonaise

P.S. It was not your fault. God just thought it was his time. PM me anytime you need comfort. I'm always here, willing to listen.

i just wanted to take one last chance to pay my respects to kyle. almost 2 weeks later, and his passing is still affecting me. i cry everytime i look into this thread, or think too much about his passing. kyle was a true friend and ill always remember his friendship, kindness, and love. i write this as we are broadcasting his memorial radioshow, and the sounds of risa's furusato has brought me to tears again.

Thw world would do better to follow Kyle's example and love purely, justly, and uninhibited.

Kyle, watch over us, keep us strong. You are forever in our hearts as a friend, as a brother, as a h!pster.

Love forever, Kyle.

I only recently became an active member of this forum recently, but even in the time I was a casual visitor, I still appreciated Kyle's contributions to this community. I always remember seeing his avatar because it was one of the most eye catching to me. He was such a kind person online. I used to be nervous posting on some forums, because some were quick to insult others because of their posts. But Kyle's kind presence on this forum made me feel comfortable and welcome.

Kyle, we will always keep you with us in our hearts.

Thank you marimari once again for all your contributions to the H!P world. My Kamei Eri fansite http://everything-eririn.net would not be as big as it is now without all those things you've contributed (videos and PBs), so thank you very much. I wish I got to know you better because I'm a Risa fan too (she's my 2nd favorite). But rest assure that you will never be forgotten by us and the H!P community. Risa would've been so proud and happy to know that she has a great fan like you. Thank you again and Rest in peace.

since this thread will be locking up, i thought i'd pay my last respects to Kyle. i dont know what to say, other than that he was a beautiful person with alot of love to give, and he was loved back.
going through this, reading all these messages and kagobons blog, has made me start looking at my brother in a different way, i feel sorta closer to him.
i'll always cherish the memories of marimari. i don't really have a favorite irc quote, but right now the most memorable quote i can think of that always brought a smile to my face was "i love risa for she makes me melty" and his mistake when he said *marimari mounts berryz* when he forgot to add .iso in there, lol. the one that i will never forget, is the last thing that was logged in the irc was "thanks" and that means alot to me. i'm extremely grateful that i knew kyle, and also grateful that you posted a picture of him, kagobon, so now i have a face to go with the name, and i can't forget to say i'm also grateful for being apart of a community that is so close, tight and cool like jphip that will help each other out in a situation like this.
thanks for all the love mari, i miss you bro, you were a good guy, i can't stress that enough.

I dedicate #8000 to marimari.

Like I said in my message on the marimari Tribute Radio Show, when we reached out to all the "big names" to help us with our brand new forum, marimari was the only guy that stuck with us through thick and thin. He had no reservations whatsover and continued to believe in our positive philosophy. We learned so much from each other - we styled him "the biggest perv" while we learned his selfless sharing and teaching. We are proud to have such a classy guy like Kyle Bouvier in the JPH!P FAM.

marimari is more than just marimari name on a tracker. He is a man with a passion for Japanese culture and would share his knowledge and collections with anyone. He is the internet's finest hustlers. Photobooks, Digital Photobooks, Hello Morning Skits, DVD Magazines, Concerts, Liliput Kingdom, etc. etc. all proudly ripped and selflessly posted by marimari.

We will continue the sharing legacy that marimari has started. As Masa said "The world would be a better place if we had more people like you."

So the next time someone asks you who marimari is, you can tell him what we just told you.

We will be closing this thread after the marimari Tribute Radio Show cuz we felt it is time for closure. Let's all take off our sigs at the same time. We will always remember marimari in our hearts. Let us continue the legacy that he has built with his kindness, charity, and selfless helping 24/7.

The JPH!P Crack  Staff declare that July 30th will forever be marked on the JPH!P Calendar as marimari Memorial Day where we take the time to put up our sigs, and show our Kyle Pride.

On behalf of The Crack Staff, the entire JPH!P FAM, and Hello! Project fans worldwide - Thank you KagoBon and the Bouvier Family for allowing marimari into our lives.

marimari watch over us homie!
