She never got to experience the coming-of-age ceremony last year. It's a huge thing especially for girls.

The ceremony is only for 20-year-old adults so it's a one time thing. She's probably been bummed about it since last year when she was unable to go home and celebrate it, so seeing Yazawa, Fonchi and Amimi brought it all back I guess.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention the biggest reason why it's important to girls is because of the outfits.

My favorite thing(s) about Yui: She's a walking time bomb. She is funny, great in singing and also awesome in dancing but you'd have no idea what's on her mind and what's she going to do

Just watched #705 not really listening carefully to the talking (which is bad since it was a talky episode!) and Yui looked super devastated! Didn't help that she had to sit behind Fonchi, Erika and Ami in their kimono. I didn't think Shizuoka was so far from Tokyo that she couldn't have gone back home but I guess there were extenuating circumstances where she couldn't. Just thought that since Ami's from Hokkaido and all.

At least she cheered up a little when Ami got her ranking but then the guest said something about everyone above her being okay which made her a bit panicky. At least she didn't get a worst 5 ranking otherwise she would have been completely destroyed.

At least it made me want to look for her more after seeing that. Considering how cryptic Fonchi has been lately as well, I hope there is not a mass graduation of 1st-2nd gen members anytime soon!

My favorite thing(s) about Yui: She's the jack-of-all-trades of the group.
A memorable performance: I remember seeing her tapdancing at the 3rd live. It was more surprising than memorable to be frank.

Moment(s) that made me laugh: Youkai Character contest.
Moment(s) that surprised me: Beats me why she wore a Swedish polo shirt to the audition...
