Wow, time does fly.  I remember watching "Live Streaming" live on dialup (I think it was before 6pm UK time [after 6pm is cheap rate] so I had to pay extra for the call, lol!), 8 years ago, wow, doesn't seem that long.  Thanks for uploading the subbed version thatonezombie!
EDIT: Didn't need to download it after all. I was checking my cd's before downloading and it turns out I have it already. XD

Happy (belated) Birthday Hikki! :nervous :)

^ And following on from that:

Quote
"I've been playing Shiren the Wanderer 5 too much," Utada added, "and I was even going through dungeons in a dream. All my items, like the Herb of Revival, that were in a very important jar transformed into rice balls, and I woke up just as I said, 'Gah, my weapons!'"

We've all had that dream right guys? XD

MY TOP 5 HIKKI SONGS (no particular order, subject to change as I continue to explore her work more):

"Exodus" - One of the first songs of hers I got into, anchored by a strong Timbaland beat and an other-worldly atmosphere befitting the song's theme. I've forever associated it with travelling due to both the actual lyrics and sound and having discovered it right before the summer of '05 when I went to SoCal and Disneyland twice within two months.

"Keep Tryin' - Again with the other-worldly atmosphere (actually one of the main things I love about her music), with a great sense of groove going through the whole song. Trippy/funny video.

"Distance"/"Final Distance" - I'm considering them one song, dammit! :P The ballad version is so emotional and powerful, I once tried making myself cry by listening to it while watching the post-sunset twilight over the ocean near the LA airport. XD Also my cousins have associated it with me for karaoke nights. Original version is so happy, upbeat and calming; crazy contrast for what is essentially the same song.

"This One (Crying Like a Child)" - Another emotionally powerful track, mainly due to her vocals and beat...the lyrics are actually kinda corny ("and the crowd is going wi-i-ild!"). :P

"Uso Mitai na I love You" - Funky hard rock sound! An aggressive Hikki is an awesome Hikki. The original basis for the "Simple and Clean" chorus.

^ My first time hearing that live; she's great. Goodbye Happiness is one of those songs I like listening to when I'm relaxing, sippin on some ice tea. Well, I haven't done the ice tea bit yet, but I'll remember to.

Like a few other idols I follow on Twitter, she's been retweeting public service information constantly through the day, presumably in the hope that word will get out there to the people that follow her. I'm glad to hear she's ok.

Hikki's message from her official site: http://www.emimusic.jp/hikki/from_hikki/

Quote
03.26(SAT) 11:17 A Message
On March 11th, a massive earthquake and tsunami hit North Japan, taking the lives of countless people, leaving many survivors homeless, in the cold, with no gas, no electricity, no running water, and in fear of radiation leaking from a nuclear power plant.
This is the biggest natural disaster recorded in Japanese history in a thousand years.
After the earthquake I gave 400 ml of my blood to a blood bank, and made a donation to Japan's Red Cross. At times like these, we need to help one another, do what we can the each of us. Please help Japan, it doesn't matter how much you give. One way to make a donation is through your country's Red Cross, by specifying its use for Japan's earthquake and tsunami victims.

There is something we can all learn from what is happening in Japan. For decades we have depended on nuclear power. It has made possible quick economic growth and a "convenient" society, but also a lifestyle that is very wasteful.
This catastrophe has made many of us in Japan realize that we have been taking many things for granted---food, energy, daily supplies, running water, resources, life.
You don't have to wait until you lose everything, to learn that what you have is precious. If we all save energy, use only what we need, and live responsibly for what we consume, we can make the world a safer, more peaceful place, for us all.

All of us in Japan are very grateful, we are all touched deeply, by the support we have received from overseas. Thank you. I wish you all love, and peace.

Hikaru Utada
