Title: [Majisuka Gakuen] A Place Called Home - Epilogue: Home - COMPLETED
Post by: Keiyuu on July 11, 2016, 04:56:29 AM
Hey guys! So I just had an idea and this spur of the moment story came out of that. It started off as an OS but now it's really more of a series of OS's following how Yuko met her queens and vice prez before Majisuka Gakuen 1. So yes, it's a prequel and obviously this is just my own take on how it happened. Just my imagination~

So anyways, a very short prologue to start us off :P

A Place Called Home: Prologue

The idea of ‘home’ is an abstract concept. There is no absolute definition and it means something different to each person. Some say home is where the heart it, some merely call it a place to stay, and some don’t even know what they consider a home.

Some may even think they don’t have one.

And this is the story of how these girls found theirs. It all started off differently, but essentially, the very foundation of a home converges in the same place.

Arc I

Part 1: Freedom

When Yuko was younger, she was very sick. It was from a very early age that she was diagnosed with a terminal disease - one that no medicine could cure. However, she wasn’t the type to let it get her down. Oshima Yuko decided to make every day meaningful, considering it may very well be her last. So even when her parents sent her to a hospital on the other side of the country, far away from her friends and family, she didn’t mind. Luckily though, her condition did slightly improve over the years, maybe thanks to that rich hospital, but Yuko didn’t think they actually did much. And if you knew Yuko, then you knew it was because she was a fighter, and she wasn’t going to give in that easily.

As soon as she was able to, she left. The nurses showed up in her room one day for checkups, only to find the girl missing and the window left wide open, curtains flapping in the breeze. They searched everywhere, but the girl was never to be found again (not that they actually searched that hard anyways).

Yuko wandered the streets, her thin clothing definitely not keeping her warm enough. It was almost the end of winter, not exactly the best time to make a break for it but Yuko couldn’t stand being cooped up in that room any longer. She wanted freedom. She wanted to be able to do whatever she wanted, uncontrolled and utterly without any rules.

If she was still back at her house, then she’d have to go to school and prepare for some bright future that was expected of her. But Yuko had two sisters, they looked exactly like her since they were triplets, and so it was easy to replace the one that was going to die—to her parents anyways.  And that future didn’t exist for her, when they found out about the disease, her parents just didn’t care anymore, they gave up even before she did.

But Yuko was not going to give up. Yuko knew she was done for, and she accepted it, she just didn’t know when. However, she was damn sure it wasn’t going to be anytime soon.

It was almost a blessing though, being left on her own, because Yuko didn’t have any expectations placed on her that way. And that’s how she was freed.

She made her way through town, seeing a few pitiful beggars here and there and hoped she’d never have to stoop down to that level. Yuko didn’t possess any money, her parents paid for her ‘treatment’ but that meant everything was provided at the hospital. So Yuko was completely broke.

I guess I’ll have to find a place to crash first.

Yuko was not going to sleep on the streets, that was like welcoming death itself and she was not going to accept that so soon. Maybe she could have taken it, even now she had faith, but her body would be a different story. So she headed towards the docks, with luck, she may be able to find an abandoned building or something. Now just because she spent her entire life in a hospital, it didn’t mean that Yuko was stupid, even if she wasn’t properly educated. On the contrary, she was quite smart - street smart.

And true to her instincts, there were quite a few empty brick warehouses lining the docks that may be worthy to call her new home. They were all dusty, random boxes strewn everywhere, the occasional trash pile. But then Yuko found one that seemed more recently abandoned (that did not emit a foul odor) and decided to set up there. Well, she didn’t really have any belongings to ‘set up’, but it was the thought that counted.

She pulled out some of the cardboard boxes, placing them one on top of the other until there was a good wall near the garage door. It was cold and the door was far too thin and drafty for her liking, so the boxes would have to do for now. Yuko had plenty of strength to spare anyways, so the heavy boxes were no big deal. Luckily, before she got really sick, she did a lot of sports and picked a lot of fights, so those muscles were still there and ready to be trained again. Not to mention she liked to sneak in some exercise whenever the nurses weren’t around. And Yuko was planning on doing a lot of training now that those pesky nurses weren’t around to bug her anymore. At least, after she cleaned up her new house.

So then she decided to go exploring a bit. The place was huge, high ceilings with metal shelves lining the sides and lots of large metal containers left inside from the last cargo ship. Those probably wouldn’t be of much use to her but maybe she could pry one open and find something useful inside. Sadly, when she did, they were all empty and Yuko was only a little disappointed until she realized that they could be utilized as rooms, or makeshift bedrooms.

Yep, she could see it already. Some cleaning here, remodeling there, and it’d be perfect. A place with no rules, no expectations, and she could do whatever she wanted.

This was the place that Yuko could call home.

The start of Yuko's adventure.   :on gay:  :cool1:

She has heartless parents, really. Just because they are triplets doesn't mean they can be replaced just like that...  :angry1:

Yuko is very strong-hearted, makes me fall in love with her all over again.  :shy2: :luvluv1: :luvluv2:

Thanks for the update~  :on GJ:

@Genkikid: Yaaaass cuz Yuko's too BA XD
@junchan: Haha thanks and yep now we'll see what she does next :P
@Ruka Kikuchi: I love Yuko's spirit in the show so I tried to incorporate it here :P
@rindg: Ya I don't know where I got the idea from, but well I had to make do with the triplets so ya XD IKR? I love her too~
@key17: Lol ya she is XD
@DarkHeart: It's all kinda centered around Yuko so ya, and I can't see any of the others getting along without her there :P Yep it's how Yuko finds them

So~ Can you guess who the first person to join Yuko is? I think it'd be pretty obvious haha :P

Part 2: Comrade

A few months later, Yuko had successfully settled in. She decided to stick to one corner of the warehouse, in the far side from the door but by a back door that she could get in easily. So if someone were to wander in, nothing would seem amiss except for perhaps a few boxes that stood stubbornly in the way of the garage door. Yuko had pulled a few of the metal cargo containers over (because she just has monstrous strength like that) and transformed them into rooms with the doors hanging open and facing each other, three on a side. There were six in total and Yuko claimed the middle one in the left row. At first, there was only a bed made of cardboard and table and chairs made of those metal solvent barrels, but things got better.

Yuko found a job, quite fortunately, she made friends with the owner of a ramen shop and he offered for her to work as a waitress. The old man’s children had grown up long left home to start their own families, so Yuko kind of became his adopted granddaughter, though she liked to call him ‘old man’. But he was like the father she never had, always kind and grinning at her with crinkles around his eyes. He was a nice guy - Yuko just had that kind of gut feeling.

She was even offered to stay with him, but Yuko didn’t want to trouble him anymore and lied, saying that she had her own place (which was technically true if you thought about it) and turned down the kind offer. In reality, Yuko also wanted to live on her own, taking care of herself and not relying about anyone else. Kind of like a survival game, it was an interesting challenge to her.

So with the money she saved up from her job, she began to buy herself the necessities – clothes, food (when she didn’t eat at the ramen shop), toilet paper (thank the gods the warehouse had a working plumbing system and bathroom) and decided to skimp on the furniture (people threw perfectly fine chairs out on the street anyways so she could just pick up a few of those). Yuko even saved up enough to replace the flattened cardboard with futon mattresses complete with covers and everything!

She was ready to go and never felt more accomplished in her entire life.

Even so, with all the upgrades she was making, it still felt sort of amiss. Something was lacking before she could really name this ‘home’ and she just couldn’t figure out what.

One day, Yuko was headed for the town shrine that she had heard of from some customers, thinking of trying her luck and going for a visit just for the heck of it, when a gang of girls approached her.

“Oi! Who are you? Never seen your face around before.” One of them got right up into her face and spoke rudely. They could only be yankees with those school uniforms and terrible etiquette.

The funny thing was, Yuko was actually wearing the same exact navy uniform. She had ‘exchanged’ her own hospital gown with some girl for it quite a while ago (to keep up appearances to the old man that she had a home and went to school), but it was only later that she found out the school the uniform came from was actually full of yankees. Having been stuck isolated in a hospital as soon as she came to the town, Yuko knew nothing about it – the people, the places, the schools. She had just assumed that those girls she fought were of the delinquent type, not anticipating that the entire school was the same way!

And now it looked like it was about to cause her some trouble.

“Hey aren’t ya gonna answer? It’s rude ya know.”

Yuko almost scoffed at the comment but kept her mouth shut, she had learned that it was never a good idea to laugh out loud at people.

Then the girl grabbed her by the collar and pulled her face even closer. “OI! I’m talkin’ to you! You go to Majijo right?! So fight me like a yankee!”

Yuko was being shaken a bit by the girl before she decided she had enough dizziness. In one swift movement, she grabbed the wrist holding her and twisted it behind the girl’s back, holding it in a tense arm lock with a blank expression. “And why should I fight you guys?”

Valid question, but the girls didn’t seem to think so.

“Ha?! What did you say!?” Three other girls Yuko had successfully riled up came at her, a fist flying at her face that she dodged while using the girl she had a grip on to block another kick before throwing her aside.

These guys aren’t that strong...But I hope they can at least make this a bit enjoyable for me. It’s been forever since I had a good fight! Honestly speaking, Yuko was really excited to be fighting and getting more worked up by the second. The thrill of facing an opponent, the clash of nerves while testing the other’s seriousness...there was nothing more fun!

The girl she just let go of collapsed to her knees, clutching her stomach in pain from that kick. She groaned but slowly got back up and grabbed her comrade roughly. “Watch where you’re kickin’!”

“It’s your fault for gettin’ caught!”

“What’d you say?!”

Yuko merely watched as they bickered like kids. What a bunch of comrades they are, fighting with each other like that.

But then a figure stepped forward and the two stopped immediately.

Yuko didn’t notice her before, probably because she was just observing from the back and was hidden from view. But from the looks of it, she was the head.

Donned in the same sailor uniform with blonde highlights in her short brown locks, a white tiger pelt coat over her shoulders and a kendama painted black and silver in her hand. This girl gave off a very different vibe compared to the others. Or maybe it was her aura.

She stepped forward right between the two bickering girls and they backed away with their heads bowed in submission. Walking right up to Yuko, the latter could see a big height difference between them, but that wasn’t going to faze her.

This one looks tough. Yuko grinned, unable to keep in her excitement at the appearance of this new adversary. “And your name?”

The other smiled as well, smirking with a slightly sadistic edge to it. “You should introduce yourself before asking someone else’s name.”

Yuko laughed at this, a loud merry sound that she couldn’t hold in because this newcomer was certainly too interesting. “Well it doesn’t matter anyways. Fists can convey just as much as words.”

Both of their grins grew wider and Yuko had a good feeling about this.

The kendama fell to the ground.

And the first punch was thrown.

A good hour later, Yuko’s punches and kicks were getting wild and sluggish, but by now she was about the only one standing. All of the others were lying around, groaning and writhing on the soil. There was only one that kept trying to get back up.

Yuko gripped the taller girl’s collar, slamming her knee into her stomach one more time before the latter collapsed on her back. She laid there panting, her coat had been lost some time ago and blood dripped down the corner of her mouth along with a few cuts on her face that stung like hell. One gash above her right eye was particularly nasty and might leave a scar, but she wouldn’t mind getting a battle scar—not from this fight.

Yuko wasn’t faring much better either. She staggered over, running a hand through her bangs in habit and extended a hand (even though she was about to fall over herself).

And the one lying on her back took it.

Yuko grinned again, her dimples appearing on her cheeks. “From now on, I think I’ll call you Sado.”

Sado was gratefully pulled to her feet by Yuko and they leaned on each other for support. It was at that point she decided - Yuko would be a great comrade and friend to have. Someone that could watch her back and she wouldn’t mind watching Yuko’s either.

And from then on, it was Yuko and Sado against the world.

“What about those guys?” Yuko asked, meaning the ones lying beaten all around them.

“They just followed me because I’m strong. I never said that they were my companions.”  Sado had never asked to be followed around wherever she went. Weaklings just tended to flock to the strong, as if being near Sado somehow made them stronger as well. No one had ever been strong enough to stand by her side, and Sado was left all alone. That resentment had led to her sadistic attitude because no one even tried to match her level. But Yuko was different, she could tell.

As for Yuko, she knew right away when she saw Sado that they’d be good friends. Of course though, Yuko still wanted to fight her. You could learn a lot about a person from fighting them after all, but really Yuko just loved to fight.

---

Not long after Yuko met Sado (actually like the same night), Sado moved in with her. Apparently Sado had no parents and her older sister always kicked her out of their apartment, so she didn't like staying there anyways. Sado just had nowhere else to go, until now.

“Sorry about the shabby and overall crappiness of the place, but this is where I live.” Yuko had smiled sheepishly when they made it back to the warehouse where she was currently residing.

Yuko didn't have much to offer, but Sado was perfectly fine with staying in the metal cargo bin to the right of Yuko’s. There was an old desk and wooden chair with a futon mattress neatly folded and ready for an occupant. Seemed like Yuko was prepared for any guests she picked up, or maybe she was hoping to find someone to accompany her.

The two worked together, literally as Sado also got a job in the same ramen place as Yuko, and if Yuko was being completely honest, it was hilarious. Sado got so nervous and messed up orders at first, it was funny to see her so flustered and different from her sadistic yankee side. Yuko had been worried that Sado might threaten a customer (Yuko didn't have room to talk because she had done that herself a number of times) but she was glad when Sado worked earnestly.

And of course, they kept fighting together as well. Sado had learned almost instantly that Yuko loved fighting, and it didn't matter who her opponent was, she’d take them seriously and maybe even hurt herself in the process of pursuing her ‘fun’. Then it was Sado’s job to take care of her and watch her back.

Afterwards, they’d just stumble home, supporting each other the whole way and patching each other up with the first aid kit. The two would crash on the recliners (that someone had abandoned on the side of the road) and light a little fire on the concrete with some firewood they cut from the nearby woods, right in the middle of the makeshift living room and between the two rows of ‘bedrooms’.

The orange flame flickered as Yuko watched it, the fire lighting up their home in the night (it was too dangerous to turn on the lights lest they be found out) and reflecting off the gray walls. And it was times like these that Sado found Yuko to be most interesting. Yuko would watch the flame with such a grim and serious expression, not saying a word, it was hard to imagine her as the energetic grinning squirrel that was shouting ‘This is fun!’ as she beat people up.

Then one night about a month later, Yuko told Sado about her condition and she didn't even believe it at first. Yuko said not to dwell on it with a smile, but it was from then on that Sado starting noticing the signs. They were small, but telltale if you caught them - Yuko suddenly doubling over during a fight and coughing up blood when she hadn't even been hit too hard, days where she looked pale and sick or even when she’d say it was okay with a smile though it looked more like a grimace just to reassure Sado.

“Man you’re such a worrywart. Like my mom or something.” Yuko'd tell her and laugh about it afterwards. Sado could never understand how Yuko was so lighthearted and spirited all the time. Or how she was such a strong fighter even with her condition. But she just decided that Yuko could never be understood as an enigmatic creature, so Sado chose to just stand by her without needing to figure Yuko out. They were friends, no, more than that—they were comrades. And she would be there when Yuko needed it.

Yay! Reading your comments really makes me wanna post faster! XD

So then~ Let me ask: What order do you think the queens will appear in? (It's already decided and written but I'm just asking for fun :P)

Part 3: Reason

“Hey you wanna go for a walk?” There was a certain glint in Yuko’s eyes that Sado had come to recognize - Yuko wanted to go have some fun. A ‘walk’ with Yuko was never just any old walk.

Without waiting for the taller girl (though she was sure Sado would follow), Yuko skipped outside, taking their usual route, passing by the shrine on the hill right along the outskirts of the city where they had first met, then making it into town. It was evening, almost too late to find anyone out of the streets, but it was a yakuza-run town and held schools full of yankees after all, so there had to be people around.

But not tonight.

“Aww~ Come on~ There’s no one around!” Yuko whined, kicking at a few stray rocks.

“It's too late for people to be hanging around.” Sado replied as they walked along, just enjoying the light spring breeze, then she smirked, “Though everyone seems to be avoiding you now, since you’ve already beaten just about the whole town.”

“I have not. There have to be more strong opponents out there.”

“You’re kidding. Haven’t you heard of the nickname you earned? Demon. That's what they call you.”

Yuko scoffed, “Isn't that kind of rude? Ah oh well, I don't care.” Then she turned to face Sado with a grin. “Oh I know! Maybe they’re just scared of seeing your ugly mug~”

“Shut up. I’m prettier and way more feminine than you.” Sado boasted in a joking manner.

“Are not! Just look at you! You’re a walking stick!”

“A stick that can kick your ass.”

“Oh no you can’t. Wanna find out?”

They kept straight faces for about a good two seconds before breaking out laughing, the sound echoing down the alleyways and dimly lit streets, and it didn't stop for a for a while until Yuko calmed down, sides still heaving from the exercise. Sado and her always joked around like that, kind of blunt, rude and up front but that's what made them close.

But the sound caused something to move in one of those alleys, and Yuko’s trained ears picked it up.

“What’s wrong?” Sado asked, suddenly serious when she saw Yuko stop. But Yuko just turned and walked straight into the alley towards the source of the noise. It was a little shuffling sound, like Yuko had startled something...or someone. It could've just been a few rats scouring for food, but Yuko had a hunch it wasn't.

Sado didn’t follow, Yuko could handle herself, there was no need to be worried or even go after her. It wasn’t in their nature to require help anyways, so Sado just waited for Yuko to return slightly curious as to what she’d find.

True to Yuko’s instincts, there was a lone figure leaning against the brick wall, half hidden by the dumpster and arms crossed over her chest, she turned her head to face Yuko. There were a few cuts and bruises visible on her cheeks that Yuko noticed immediately. She wore a black and white sukajan jacket with twin dragon designs on the breast, black mane framing her face as she stared at Yuko with cold unblinking eyes.

Yuko merely stopped and watched her as well. Neither of them spoke, just let their gazes do the talking.

“...What are you doing out here?” Yuko finally voiced, her curiosity getting the best of her though she already had a good idea as to what kind of answer she’d receive.

The girl continued staring at her for a few more moments, her gaze so cold and distant and Yuko wondered what made her like that. “...Waiting for my uncle to fall asleep.”

That's all Yuko needed to know. She didn't ask or pry anymore, she didn't need to. Yuko just knew one thing - this girl was like her and Sado.

Alone and unwelcome.

So she didn't hesitate to offer the girl a place to stay. “If you want, you can come stay with me and Sado. That is, if you don't have a place to call home.”

The girl hesitated. She could tell that Yuko didn’t mean a place to stay, that Yuko meant a place where she could actually belong – something she never had before. So she thought it was worth a shot. Couldn’t get any worse from here right? She didn’t have anything to lose by leaving. She didn’t have any reason to remain either, or to live for that matter, but maybe she could find one. “...Black. That's my name.”

Then Yuko smiled, not the maniacal one she showed while fighting but a soft one.

“Yuko.”

Turning on her heel, Yuko made her way out from the alley without another word. She didn't need to say anything, but just like with Sado, Yuko was sure Black was coming up behind her. Black didn't seem like the talkative type anyways. And for Yuko as well, she knew sometimes that you don’t really need to say things out loud to come to an understanding.

When Sado (who was waiting patiently for Yuko to come back) noticed them appear from the dark alley, she didn't ask about the new girl following the shorter one either. She could only assume Yuko had found another comrade, one much like herself.

---

“Pick one, any of them as long as it’s not Sado’s ‘cause then she’ll throw a fit.”

Sado merely rolled her eyes at the statement before seating herself on a recliner, crossing her legs. Yuko did the same while Black wandered over to a metal container – the one across from Yuko’s – and went inside. She didn’t have any belongings besides the clothes on her back and her bible, so she left the latter on the bed and came back out to join the other two around the fire.

It didn't take much for Black to get used to living with Yuko and Sado and vice versa. Black didn’t talk too often, never argued or spoke her opinions out loud, but they didn’t mind. No matter who it was, Yuko was always so open and welcoming which happened to rub off on Sado as well (although Sado would never admit that and she only approved of people that got along with Yuko - it was an absolute condition as Sado felt an obligation to protect Yuko somehow).

And being so quiet, Black sort of blended in without any troubles or disputes – just another presence in the room. It probably shouldn’t have been so simple, especially when under normal circumstances Black would be considered dark and creepy. But Yuko and Sado were anything but ordinary and weren’t intimidated or bothered in the slightest because it just felt too natural. Rather, Black’s presence made them feel at ease due to her calm and rational nature.

And soon they found out that Black was also an extremely good fighter, though she tended to avoid them in general, and that made her even more welcome. But whenever Yuko got into another ‘friendly bout’ (that Sado somehow always got dragged into as well) Black couldn't help but jump in and help, fighting alongside her newfound comrades. For Black, as she was one of few words, actions always spoke louder.

So the first time Yuko spun around to find Black had knocked out someone coming up behind her, she smiled and knew that her gut feeling wasn't wrong. And then she made it a point to drag Black into all her fights as well, because that’s how Yuko shows her friendship regardless of how the others felt about it.

Fighting together meant friendship to Yuko, the others had no choice but to accept it.

Black never complained once, she would just sigh and share a knowing glance with Sado before jumping in. Someone had to watch over Yuko after all, seeing as the squirrel was far too reckless. So now Sado had a companion to help her keep Yuko in check, and when it was Sado herself that was fighting with Yuko, Black would act as the voice of reason for their arguments, which were many and often.

Yuko usually tried to get Black to side with her though, and if they teamed up then even Sado couldn’t win against them. However, that wasn't the only time that Yuko made Black help her. Black had this uncanny ability that Yuko dubbed as supersonic speed, and she made sure to make full use of it. Randomly, Yuko would request Black to go pick up something for her, sometimes some snacks or even fireworks when Yuko felt like lighting some (they had set some off on the bridge before and watched in amusement as the police came scurrying only to find them long gone).

“Hey Black! Mind running to the grocery store again?” Yuko’d ask with this puppy dog look that was ruined completely by her grin.

And Black always did as told even though Yuko always got an earful from Sado about abusing her skills.

And though the requests were odd and slightly unreasonable, Black never regretted doing them. As any other time, Black could do whatever she wanted, reading her bible or just sitting in the shadows comfortably without being interrupted. She had grown far too used to having the little book ripped out of her hands and being kicked out for ‘doing nothing’.

Black realized this change and truly appreciated it, once trying to thank Yuko but Yuko just waved it off with a grin, saying Black would just have to repay her by sticking around.

And after a couple times of running around on those errands, Black found that there was actually reasoning behind Yuko’s madness, and that she did indeed have a reason for making Black carry out those seemingly pointless errands.

The snacks for example, Yuko asked for popcorn and drinks specifically, and when Black made it back with time to spare, she found Sado and Yuko arguing and struggling to set up a television set (a crappy one at that and who knows where they got it from). But when it was all said and done, they all sat on the couches, Yuko popped in a movie while they munched away on the popcorn with Sado kicking the TV every once in awhile to make the static go away.

It was something Black had never experienced, sitting together and watching a movie like a family of sorts. No, they were a family. No doubt about it.

And Black had never felt more grateful in her life that Yuko found her in the alley that fateful night. Black owed Yuko, for giving her this chance, and she would repay her with her life. Anything Yuko asked of her, she resolved to do it no matter what (though Yuko never asked for more than a few fights and trips to the supermarket).

Part 4: Safety

The next person to be added to the family wasn’t as simple as the last two.

The trio had made a name for themselves and all the yankees in town knew not to pick fights with them anymore. Even the really stupid lackeys gave up after one brawl. If Yuko and Sado were already formidable, just imagine when a black shadow started backing them up going around punching people at supersonic speed. Luckily though, they did not mess with the yakuza. Who knows what would've happened if the yakuza came after them. No, Yuko knew well enough that the yakuza fought to kill, and it would not be a fair fight—not the kind that yankees stuck to. And Yuko was not one to gamble with her comrades’ lives. If one person knew the meaning of life, then it'd be Yuko.

Nevertheless, that still didn't mean that she didn't love ‘taking walks around town’ whenever she had the time to.

“Ah I don't know~ I guess I just like the fresh air and stuff.” Yuko said when Black asked why she always liked wandering about. Unlike Sado, Black didn't know that Yuko had been cooped up a hospital for most of her time, not even leaving the bed for a few years of her measly life. And Yuko planned on making it up now.

There was nothing worse than not being able to do what you wanted. Being ordered around. Told not to do things. Unable to leave the room or even move. It was basically a cage. Freedom was most important for Yuko - something that she understood and fought for all her life. It wasn’t like she was locked up in prison but she kind of was. All she wanted was to get out.

Then one day, during their routine outing when the three managed to find their way into a part of town they'd never been before, they found another comrade.

The area was dilapidated to say the least. Run down and trash lying everywhere, it was way worse than their own warehouse (even when Yuko had first moved in). It didn't seem like anybody was present in the houses, appearing abandoned and the small gardens unattended. Large cracks crisscrossed through the pavement and rusty old cars were left on the side of the road. The foggy atmosphere only served to add to the weird tension in the air, and it set them all on edge.

It was like they stepped into a different dimension.

“What is with this place?” Sado frowned as she accidently stepped on a pile of something that looked suspiciously like a dead animal carcass.

“I can take a look around.”

“Nah, let's just walk around. Maybe we’ll find something interesting.” Yuko turned down Black’s offer. Black could’ve covered the entire area in a matter of seconds but Yuko thought that this was fun too. “Maybe some zombies’ll jump out at us~”

“You’re kidding.” Sado looked a little scared. Granted, the place did seem like something straight out of a horror film. Sure, the houses seemed abandoned, but that didn’t mean creeps couldn’t be hiding in there and watching their every move.

“Quit being a baby, Sado. It doesn't suit you.” Yuko chuckled at her expression. Once a while Sado would show her slightly vulnerable side and it usually came to haunted houses, ghosts, and the like. An odd fear for the sadistic lady.

Heeeeelllp...

“Did you hear that?!”

“Calm down Sado!” Yuko pried said girl’s death grip off her arm, who had immediately latched on to the nearest object, which happened to be Yuko. When she finally let go, Yuko nodded at Black. “Let’s go check it out.”

“Eh?! You want to go towards the source?? That's always a bad idea!” Sado voiced out as the two picked their way through the fog until their silhouettes almost completely vanished. “And don't leave me here alone either!”

“Then pick one or the other!”

After a few moments of hesitation, Sado grudgingly followed while muttering curses all the way. A few steps in and she almost slammed straight into Yuko, who was grinning ear to ear, having known that Sado would choose to follow them.

“Hey how's it going~?”

“Shut up.”

Yuko shrugged and kept going, the smile still there though and Sado falling into step behind her.

“Hey I think you need to see this.” Black called out.

That caught Yuko’s attention, Black's voice hinted something...odd. But she didn't know what so she'd just have to go see for herself.

Blacks silhouette gradually faded into view as well as the building she was standing by. It was a tile-roofed house just as abandoned as the rest. The front door chipping and the sidewalk cracked as if a giant had stomped on it. The limited amount of grass on the lawn as trampled and a dying yellow color.

Black was standing by the side of the house, arms crossed and waiting for the other two to catch up, then without a word she disappeared around the corner, wordlessly indicating for them to follow.

Sado had a strange feeling about it, like something was going to attack them but for once, Yuko did not.

Yuko didn't feel threatened at all, which was weird considering the situation and atmosphere.

The two rounded the corner as well, watching their step and cautious of their surroundings. It was too foggy to see Black anymore, so they had to go by their hearing and the sound of Black’s booted steps.

Gradually, her back came into view again and Sado stopped as well (froze was more like it), Yuko making her way around the still figure.

The back of the house was no better than the front and looked like it was melting into itself, mold and rotting siding collapsing from age. At a first glance, there seemed to be a fence-like structure, overgrown with vines and brush, but when Yuko took a closer look, it was a cage.

She walked up to it, arms length distance and tried to see in between the rusted metal wire. Then she heard little noises, something like...clucking.

There were a few chickens in the cage, which surprised Yuko because she didn't expect to see any living animals around this area.

“Are those chickens?” Sado questioned incredulously.

“Looks like it.” Yuko replied as she walked around the ‘chicken coop’. But then a larger shape caught her attention. “Wait...”

“What is it?”

She squatted down to get a better look, but to no avail.

“Wait you're going to open it?!” Sado said incredulously when she saw Yuko reaching for the metal latch. She just about had enough of Yuko. The latter tugged tugged on the gate roughly and the metal creaked dangerously a few times before it broke open with a screech.

The chickens inside clucked loudly as they were startled by the sudden loud sound, wings flapping wildly as they hopped out of Yuko’s way, revealing more of the shape that Yuko had seen.

It was a girl. Not exactly what Yuko was expecting.

“Are you okay?” Yuko immediately came over and helped the girl up, who was huddled in the corner, hand gripping the side of the cage tightly and wide eyes staring at Yuko with a mix of fascination and fear.

“Th-Thank you...” She spoke as Yuko led her out of the cage, her first time out for several days now.

Black observed the girl cautiously, a brunette with long straight hair, surprisingly kempt for someone that had been stuck in a cage for a while, and she was wearing a red parka, her height similar to Black’s. A lot of questions ran through Black’s head about this girl but also a sense of danger overwhelming them all. This was not a normal girl—that she knew for sure. But she wasn’t going to provoke her, Black was just prepared to act as soon as the girl tried anything. Looking over, she could see that someone else seemed to feel the same way about this girl.

“Who are you?” Sado asked mercilessly, her dominant side returning now that she wasn't as afraid anymore. She was cautious of this girl as well since she seemed to emit an odd aura. Something was...off. But Sado was sure she could handle the girl, she was skinny and airheaded-looking after all.

“T-Torigoya.”

“Well that kinda fits.”

Yuko shot Sado a look after that blunt comment but then grinned at Torigoya. “Don’t worry ‘bout her. Sado’s always like that.” Then she nodded at Black. “The one next to her with her arms crossed is Black, and I'm Yuko.”

Torigoya nodded slightly, though she was still leaning on Yuko and seemed to shrinking into herself or at least trying to.

“Are you sure you’re alright?” Yuko inquired again.

Another nod.

Sado watched, finding it exasperating that Yuko wouldn't ask why she was even holed up in a chicken coop in the first place. But then again, Yuko wasn't the type to ask that. It didn't matter to her, just like when she fought Sado or met Black in that alley. The past didn't matter to Yuko at all, only the present.

Now she had found another girl like them, and the other two already knew where this was headed.

“Do you have anywhere to go?”

A shake of the head this time.

Yuko grinned even wider, “Then you can stay with us.”

Not a question but a statement. It was final. They got another comrade.

---

“AAAAAAHHH!!” The scream woke up all the occupants in an instant.

“What is it?! What’s wrong?!” Sado bolted up and flicked on the lights, forgetting that it was the middle of the night and the warehouse was supposed to be empty.

Black was the first to make it to Torigoya’s room (the metal bin next to her own, which Black had chosen the one facing Yuko’s) and swung the door open. Torigoya was the only one out of all of them that closed her door, the others finding it too troublesome to open and close the heavy door every day. It was getting hot now too, as summer was just around the corner. None of them knew why Torigoya liked to be isolated and closed off, but Yuko wouldn’t ask and the others didn't care enough to.

She found Torigoya huddle on her bed in the corner, in the same exact position when they had found her the first time but clutching her head in pain.

Black was about to approach her before a hand on her shoulder halted her movement. Yuko gave her a serious look and passed by her, stopping right in front of Torigoya but not doing anything.

Suddenly, Torigoya shot up and put a hand in front of Yuko’s face, eyes wide, a crazy expression lighting her features and giggling lightly. “I seeeeee iiiit~”

But then her smile turned into a frown, like something had gone wrong. “What?...No...”

Yuko grabbed her wrist and tried to put it back down but then Torigoya starting screaming and holding her head again.

All the pain. She could see it. She could feel it. She could relive it. Even though they weren't her memories.

The pain of betrayal, abandonment, no one caring about you. The pain of being alone, no one to talk to, no one to share your pain with. The pain of helplessness, so weak you can't even speak, unable to move without a world of hurt shooting through your entire body. The pain of dying but never actually going all the way only to fall back into the pain once again.

The pain of not being able to do anything about it.

Torigoya was almost crying now, all those years of memories flowing into her all at once. It'd drive anyone insane. But Yuko wasn't just anyone and hugged Torigoya tightly, stroking her back in a reassuring manner.

“Everything will just be fine. It’ll be alright.” Repeating the words like an overused mantra, telling it to someone else this time instead of herself, but it seemed to work as Torigoya started calming down, the shaking of her body subsiding and eventually she fell asleep in the safety of Yuko’s arms.

Black watched all this happen without moving an inch, not until Yuko finally let go and set the exhausted girl on her bed, brushing aside a strand of stray hair. The she stood and left the room without sparing a glance at Black and went back to get her own rest. It was a long day for all of them.

Black followed after and saw Sado standing outside the door, arms crossed and off to the side, completely out of view of the occupants inside which explained why Black had not seen her there before. The two shared a knowing look and nodded, finally accepting the newest member of their little family. Sado left first and Black swung the door shut a little, halfway open just like how the rest of them left theirs. She wasn't going to close the door all the way this time. Not anymore.

So The queens' and Sado's jackets are their own when Yuko found them. I thought it was given when they make Rappappa

@Ruka Kikuchi: Ya ikr? Locked up in a chicken coop :( Lol Ruka bud you're always the first to reply XD
@Genkikid: Torigoya's a toughie :P Umm I don't remember anything about how they got the jackets cuz it didn't seem like it was passed down or anything...But actually let me clear this up, only Sado and Black have their fur coat and jacket at the moment and the rest don't, but Torigoya has a red parka :P I plan on having them replace their respective colored garments with the sukajan jackets from the series (don't expect a big deal tho). Sorry if I confused ya there
@DarkHeart: Poor Torigoya is right :( But Yuko is there so no worries ;) Rappapa is almost all gathered!
@Ruka Kikuchi and DarkHeart: True, I didn't really incorporate it here tho (it's kinda mentioned?), since none of their past lives are really revealed beyond when Yuko finds them :P
@junchan: Hey buddy! Glad you had time to read them~ No worries I know yer busy~ Haha you're right I tried to make it longer but Black doesn't talk and that made it really hard to make longer :nervous So ya it is the shortest one. LOL I tried to make it as creepy as possible. OMG NO XD Hmm maybe I should include it tho-*slapped* Nevermind Yuko doesn't chase oshiri in the series so I'll leave it out XD

Part 5: Trust

“Hey I got an idea.”

Sado groaned inwardly and Black flicked her gaze up from her little bible. Torigoya merely kept playing with the stands of her hair absentmindedly, not having been dragged into one of Yuko’s ‘plans’ before.

Here’s how it went – Yuko going on a walk meant looking for trouble, Yuko having an idea meant she already found trouble and now they’ve all been dragged into it as well, which is worse than just looking for it. Yuko having an idea always led them into trouble, without a doubt, every single time, while walking around just offered a chance. But they still followed her anyways. Besides, it wasn't like her ideas were bad per say, just reckless and ridiculous - the same as Yuko.

They waited patiently for Yuko to speak again when she leaned forward in the recliner, elbows propped on her knees and face set in a serious expression. Then it broke out into her signature grin as she looked them over.

“Oh yeah we’re gonna have some fun~”

True to her word (though maybe not her definition of fun), a few hours later they were gathered outside an old school building that had been out of use for a long time. The windows were all shattered and the walls spray painted with a large variety of designs and cuss words, but of course that's not all there was to the building. It was a yankee’s hideout, or their base you could say. And not just any yankee - one that liked to butt heads with Yuko all the time due to her aggressive and dominant personality.

But even though Yuko won every taiman they ever had, this girl never gave up. And that spirit intrigued Yuko, as she was not one to give up either.

Which explained why they were all back here again for the umpteenth time, but Yuko seemed to have a different plan this time around. Like she had a new idea on how to get through to that stubborn yankee (which she didn't share). So really besides Yuko, the rest of them were all going in there blind.

They weren't worried though. They trusted Yuko, and Yuko never let them down.

Face set and fist clenched, Yuko took the first step inside. The three followed in a row behind her before waves of violent girls started pouring out at the intruders. Then Sado, Black, and even Torigoya spread out taking care of all the fighting so Yuko could keep going without any hindrances.

Down a few hallways and up a flight of stairs in the back, Yuko finally faced the one she was here for. All of her lackeys had been taken care of, either physically or glared into submission by Yuko’s comrades. At least some of them had been smart enough to sense the difference in the four’s ridiculously powerful auras.

The gap between theirs and Yuko’s strengths was too huge and they were utterly overwhelmed, letting them make it that far without even so much as a scratch. There was only one person that could even come close to closing that gap, and it would be their leader.

“Shibuya.”

A shorter brunette with curly brown locks slightly lighter than Torigoya’s and dressed in a pink windbreaker, said girl didn't even look up from examining her manicured nails comfortably in her recliner, her upturned lips the only indication she noticed their presence. This rude gesture didn't go unnoticed and Sado was about to go up and teach her a lesson but Yuko held her back.

“Back again Yuko? You know the more you come back, the better chance I have of beating you.”

“What if that’s what I want?”

This caught Shibuya’s attention and she stopped smiling, instead leaning forward and glaring at Yuko like yankees do. “Ha? You want me to beat you? That’s ridiculous. What kind of yankee wants to lose?”

Now Yuko smiled and it irritated Shibuya to no end. It was such a positive and seemingly carefree smile, Shibuya had never smiled like that before and never before had she ever received a smile like it either. Yuko was the first.

“I’m not a yankee. Did you forget?” Yuko didn’t technically consider herself one as she never went to school.

Shibuya scoffed, finding the statement ridiculous.

“Nevermind about that though, I’m not your opponent today.” Yuko pushed Torigoya forward who stumbled a bit until she almost ran into the now standing and outraged Shibuya. Yuko’s smile turned into an amused smirk at the sight. “She is.”

Shibuya almost visibly shook with rage. She was basically being mocked by Yuko. This twig of an airheaded fighter was supposed to be her opponent? Shibuya refused to be looked down upon. Sure she lost to Yuko the last few times but this was saying that Shibuya wasn't even worth the effort anymore. And she was beyond pissed.

“Don’t let looks deceive you, she’s not as weak as she looks.”

Torigoya just pouted and crossed her arms, her parka slipping past her shoulders in the process.

Shibuya didn't recognize this girl, so she could only guess that Yuko had picked her up after their last fight, since there were only three of them total last time.

Even after sizing her up properly, Shibuya could only laugh. Looking past Torigoya like she didn't even exist, Shibuya spoke to Yuko. “Are you sure? This one just looks like a ditz! At least pick up some worthwhile stray dogs next time.”

Yuko frowned.

“Did that finally get to you?” Shibuya sneered. “Tch, you and your damn strays.”

The taunts didn't manage to do their job though, and Yuko didn't attack her like Shibuya expected. Instead, Yuko came up and whispered something in Torigoya’s ear.

Shibuya’s brow twitched in irritation. Now she was being ignored and that was entirely unacceptable.

“Are you going to fight me or not? Get out if you’re not serious.”

If Yuko wasn't going to fight her then she had no interest in their visit, let alone was she going to fight the absolute weakest looking one out of all of them.

But then Yuko looked at her once again, her expression unreadable. “Oh I’m always serious.”

That malicious smirk threw Shibuya off slightly. Something was different today, but she couldn't put her finger on it. But if Yuko was really that determined then maybe she wouldn't mind putting a few dents into her new pet. Though she would never admit it, Shibuya had a grudging respect for Yuko and her seriousness. Tugging on her gloves, Shibuya stood for the second time and cracked her knuckles. Finally addressing her opponent and not Yuko for the first time today. “Then come at me.”

Torigoya tilted her head with a confused expression, as if she wasn't sure what to do, but then got into a loose fighting stance.

Shibuya nearly groaned with impatience but kept it in, the faster she beat up the girl the faster she could get to her taiman with Yuko. Now wasn't the time to get annoyed at her opponent’s lackadaisical actions.

Shibuya threw the first punch, sort of a jab to test Torigoya’s reflexes and was slightly surprised that it was dodged with ease. This kept up for a while, Torigoya successfully evading the punches and kicks in a smooth manner though a little recklessly. Despite not being fast like Black, not as powerful as Sado, and definitely not as spirited as Yuko, Torigoya at least knew the basics of fighting, and that wasn't her objective here anyways.

Gradually, Shibuya got more and more pissed and actually started fighting seriously. The next kick connected with Torigoya’s side and sent her crashing into the wall, followed by a punch to the face. Shibuya grabbed her shoulder and slammed her knee into her stomach, Torigoya groaning in pain and falling to her knees with a cough.

Shibuya backed up with a satisfied look. “What is that all you’ve got? Pathetic~”

This earned cheers and whooping laughter from her peers and Shibuya grew even cockier. That side was loud and rowdy, banging pipes on the walls and taunting, but the other remained silent.

Sado looked down on all of them with a bored face, but not offering any encouragement and Black was as stoic as ever. Yuko was the same, unperturbed and seemed to consider something for a second before finally opening her mouth. “Torigoya.”

From the floor, Torigoya lifted her head at the call of her name, her hair splayed around her face and a trickle of blood running from the corner of her lips. Even with her haughty attitude, there was no mistaking that Shibuya was indeed strong judging from the damage she inflicted in just a few hits.

“...You can let go now.”

Something snapped.

Shibuya could feel it in the air, but couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. All of the sudden the air grew heavy. None of her lackeys seemed to feel it though, only her. But then a quick glance at Yuko told her all she needed to know. Yuko knew. Heck she was anticipating this. And Shibuya fell for it, entirely.

Someone appeared in front of her in the blink of an eye, a face extremely close to her own that had broken out into a saccharine smile. Shibuya startled and her eyes flicked to the ground, the figure had disappeared, and reappeared, right in her face.

Then her eyes were covered with a cold palm and her body felt like it wasn't there anymore.

Shibuya was walking home in the afternoon, back in her middle school days. Bag over her shoulder and donned in a proper school uniform, she was just a normal girl. But she was walking home alone today, her friends not with her.

Rounding an alley, she was ambushed. And by who? None other than her so called friends, along with several burly looking guys. The pain was real, the wounds fresh, and Shibuya couldn't tell if it was a nightmare or the present.

Then she heard a scream and felt the hand on her forehead recede, replaced with a pair of arms holding her up. Then she opened her eyes only to be met with the realization that it was her own scream and that ever constant annoying smirk.

“Heh I guessed that’s what your past was like. Couldn't be sure though. Sorry. ” Yuko looked almost sheepish, but then her expression became serious. “Come with us. We’ll watch your back. And I will not betray you.”

Maybe Shibuya was a little shaken at the moment and not in her right mind, or else she would have blatantly refused and pushed Yuko away, but she didn't. She accepted the offer, taking Yuko’s hand and allowing herself to be pulled up. And then she thought that maybe her usual self was the one that wasn't in her right mind—that she had to be brought to this level to accept it and move on. And to trust again.

---

Things got quite a bit livelier with the last addition to the household (or warehousehold?). Shibuya took the bin next to Black’s, on the far side opposite of Sado (the setup now goes Sado, Yuko, empty on the left, Torigoya, Black, Shibuya on the right) and that was Yuko’s decision because Shibuya didn't really get along with anyone In particular, but quite often argued with Sado. They’d disagree on every little thing and it was times like this that Yuko became like the mother hen and had to separate them. Although one time, they were wrestling and accidently ran into Black as she came by, somehow ripping her cross necklace off in the process. They never misbehaved in front of Black ever again.

And Yuko laughed her butt off at the sight. It was then that Black was appointed to be the mediator which was probably the wisest decision Yuko ever made because there were no physical disputes from there on, at least, not where Black could see them.

Shibuya never bothered with Torigoya though, maybe she was scared of her or something but she’d never admit it. And also, surprisingly, she never picked a fight with Yuko ever again.

Sado taunted her about it, but Shibuya always evaded the question, never really explaining why. There was one time she came close though.

“Yuko’s stronger than me, I’ll admit and accept that, but only for her. I’d beat your ass any day.”

Then they’d fight again (far from Black’s sight), because Sado had her own pride to defend and Shibuya deserved punishment, which the sadistic queen was happy to dish out.

But that mutual respect for Yuko was what made Shibuya fit in. She had her quarrels and her obstinate nature really did not help, however the others weren't really against her. Yuko had brought them all together, and even if Yuko was the only thing they had in common, it was enough.

A/N: Hey so let me pose this question: Do you want me to continue after Gekikara? Which you can probably guess is the last installment of the series (for now?) I have it end before they actually take Majijo, so before it does end I would like your opinions :)
I could make it so they do actually form Rappapa right up until MJSK 1 begins with Acchan coming in, I mean, it is a prequel after all.

Hi sorry it's a bit late but I was busy :nervous Anyways this will the the last update for a while bc I'm going on a trip and also I haven't written the next chapter yet :P so yeah we'll see but I promise it will continue for a bit longer seeing as how all of you wanted that XD It makes me happy that you guys read and like it so consider it a thank you :)

@anzai48: Hi there Anzai! Can I call you that? XD I've read your fic and I like it a lot.  Sorry I never told you that though since it was awhile ago back when I was still a silent reader :nervous It's an honor getting a reply from you :) Lol ya Mariko-sama is terrified of that stuff so I thought it'd be fun to add in there :P Ah thanks I tried~ Ya I'm kinda making it so that Sado and Shibuya really don't get along later when Yuko's gone (like in the show) rather than now. Hmm I see it as Black glares them into submission, or scolds them angrily like little children as Yuko watches with an amused face XD The best for last of course! And Idk about your questions :nervous I don't really explain how Geki gets to be Geki but maybe it's like an outlet since you know, she was totally abused by her crazy mom and all
@Ruka Kikuchi: Oh nice! Having fun on your vacation? Thanks for reading still anyways XD
@DarkHeart: Thanks! I don't really know where I got that idea from :nervous But well, Shibuya's too stubborn so new tactics are required XD No worries I'll continue and you'll get to see how they took the top (but I don't think it'll be a big deal cuz as I see it as Majijo was probably like Yabakune before Yuko comes around and changes it to be all serious and noble XD)
@key17: Everyone's so excited for Gekikara XD Aw thanks~ I'll write some more then lol
@Genkikid: Haha tame huh. I wonder if that's what happened~ lol  Right sure let's have Yuko take over Majijo just for the heck of it XD I like writing it anyways so I'm glad you like reading
@junchan: Haha thanks bud~ I can always count on you :) Well Shibuya's hardheaded, gotta try something new (and so it doesn't get boring lol) Lol thanks I try~ XD Yes, yes here's Gekikara jeez you're all so impatient

Hmm since you all think Yuko 'tamed' Gekikara per se, I added a little extra

This chapter's twice as long as the others (cuz it was supposed to end here) and I kinda feel bad about it bc Gekikara gets more than the others but really, IT'S GEKIKARA CAN YOU BLAME ME XD

Thanks for reading! Makes me happy to get comments and I have a lot of fun writing this too~

Part 6: Family

Now their group had a total of five members. Five of the rooms filled and only one remained empty - the far one on Yuko’s left. For some reason, none of them had chosen that spot, maybe they felt undeserving of being Yuko’s left hand (except Sado who had no problem with being Yuko’s right hand man), but that room blatantly stood out as the only bare space without an occupant. Whether Yuko had planned it – six rooms equaling six potential occupants - or not was unknown but it didn't matter really.

By now, everyone else had pretty much expected it to be filled soon. It was almost like a predetermined prophecy—it couldn't stay empty forever. Yuko needed someone else by her side, but none of the current members stepped forward to take it. Black didn’t want to, Torigoya didn't care, and Shibuya wouldn’t.

Those three had some kind of unspoken agreement that it couldn't be any one of them. It had to be someone new. Someone strong enough that would grow even closer to Yuko than any one of them could. But of course no one knew who or what kind of person it would be or where to even start looking. So they didn't look. Yuko would probably find them somehow or they’d just show up when it was time.

And that person did.

With a bang.

Literally.

In the middle of the night, Sado pissed for being woken up for the second time that month at an ungodly hour (the first due to Torigoya), gunshots rang out in the city. Their quick reflexes allowed them to rise and search for the source without even becoming entirely awake yet. All they knew was that Yuko had sprinted out of her room and into town and obviously that meant they should all go.

Cool pavement ran under Yuko’s bare feet as she headed towards the sound. At first she wasn't sure if she was going in the right direction but then another shot rang out to confirm her destination. It wasn't far away, the sound had been loud and resounding through their home, echoing off the cement walls.

Every once in awhile, there would be a few stray bullets fired in the town (probably by some gang disputes between yakuza) but most of the time it sounded far away, never this close. And there weren't any yakuza near the warehouse where they stayed, so that meant this was an oddity. There had to be a different reason for those shots and Yuko had a bad feeling about it.

And so, of course, being Yuko, she ran towards it.

Footsteps pounded after her (the others having actually taken the time to put on their shoes), it was a nice reassurance and made Yuko feel less uneasy just knowing that her comrades were right behind her.

It was fall now, the wind bearing a slight chill to it as it billowed past. She turned and made it down a narrow street, the lamps either flickering or out, making it dark and hard to see. This area was the poor part of town, right on the edge near the harbor (and the docks where their warehouse was located) and every building was quite small and cramped. It wasn't abandoned like the area where they found Torigoya, but still really worn down and old and dilapidated from lack of care. But some people could only afford a place like this, though Yuko herself could never imagine staying in such a confined space willingly, she’d much rather stay on the streets or something, at least then she’d be free.

In front of one of the apartment buildings, there was a large shape that glinted in the shadows, catching some of the limited light from the streetlamps that actually weren't blown out.

A black van.

“What the...” Yuko frowned, now slowing down as she got closer and more cautious. A quick inspection revealed that no one was inside the car, so as quietly as possible, she crept her way up the steps to the apartment where it was parked in front of, only to find the door blown open and the proceeding hallway a complete mess.

Vases broken all over the floor, splintered wooden desk that was half overturned half missing, glass shattered everywhere from a few stray shots hitting the windows. Yuko carefully picked her way through the house, aiming for the one room that had light spilling from the doorway.

The light was almost blinding as she stepped in, though it was only a single yellow bulb that illuminated what appeared to be a kitchen (or what was left of it). Skipping the details, there was obvious signs of struggle apparent, most striking was the blood splatters on the wall and counter. With that amount of blood someone must have died, or been on the verge of it. But Yuko ignored the sight, having been used to seeing blood despite it never being close to amount.

Her ears picked up small whimpering noises.

The table? Under it? Yuko made her way towards the small dining room table that had been pushed aside against the wall haphazardly. And after squatting down, she found a pair of round doe eyes staring at her innocently. A kid?

No, the girl was not that young, but her countenance made it seem so.

“Hey are you okay?” Yuko asked as softly as possible as to not startle her. But the girl only shrunk back as Yuko reached out so she stopped and put her hand back down. “What’s your name?”

“Yuko! You in there?! We’re coming in!”

“You better not be dead or I’ll kill you!”

Loud shouts sounded from outside and Yuko nearly cursed at being surprised like that. What if they scared the girl? But a quick glance and the girl hadn’t moved, still staring at Yuko with those wide eyes and Yuko felt a sense of relief. Then she chuckled inwardly. Those idiots...

The first shout had to be Sado, who sounded entirely too worried in Yuko’s opinion. The second was Shibuya, even though it was a threat to kill her, Shibuya had a bit worried undertone as well and it wasn’t often that she showed she cared. Torigoya hadn’t said anything but there was no doubt she was there (or catching up because she wasn’t exactly as fit as the rest of them), and Black must’ve already made her way inside to Yuko, letting her actions speak louder than words. They were idiots, but Yuko wouldn’t have it any other way.

“Come on~ It’s safe, I promise. Nothing’s going to happen.” Yuko went back to coaxing the girl. But she wouldn’t budge. It didn’t seem like she was scared of Yuko just...unsure. Boy did Yuko know how that felt. “Oh I know!” She grinned widely. The girl was obviously alone at this point and had her home in shambles, so like all the other times, Yuko extended her offer. “Why don’t you come with us? We’ll take care of you, I promise~”

“...” The girl didn’t say anything, but Yuko kept smiling, and eventually...she took Yuko’s hand.

Yuko grinned and stood up, careful not to go too quickly and pulled the girl out from under the table as well. “Great! Now let’s get out of here or Sado’s going to keep grumbling about missing her beauty sleep~”

“Yuko-san.”

Yuko spun around to see Black behind her by the doorway. “Oh hey Black, mind carrying her for me? I don’t think I’m tall enough~”

Black glanced at the girl holding Yuko’s hand. She was skinny and pale, a bit shorter than Black herself but definitely taller than Yuko. Dressed in only a green tank top and shorts—that were bloody nonetheless—the girl had a few cuts and bruises - the most noticeable being the twin scratches above her left eye. Once Black finished her assessment, she looked back at the girl’s face, the two starting a staring contest as soon as their eyes met and neither of them looking away.

“...”

“...”

Then Black merely walked over and swung her own jacket over the girl’s shoulders before sweeping her off her feet bridal style. She wasn’t even startled by it and not a word was spoken as Black walked back out with the girl still staring intently at her (though Black seemed to be avoiding her gaze).

Yuko chuckled as she watched this happen, finding the girl amusing to say the least and thinking that Black could stand to show her emotions a bit more. But maybe this girl could help her with that.

---

“Hehehe~ Nee...okotteru?” Gekikara smashed her fist into the yankee’s face before spinning around and wildly kicking another in the stomach. “Hahahaha...HAHAHAHAHA~”

Yuko only stood on the sidelines, leaning against an electric pole as Gekikara grabbed one girl’s arm and swung her around in an arc before tossing her at two more of her opponents.

“Hahaha...Hehe~” One jumped on her back but Gekikara just flipped her off by the collar before slamming her onto the pavement mercilessly. There were at least 20 yankees lying around them on the ground, most unconscious and all of them bleeding. Word got around about the insane new member of Yuko’s little party and being the stupid yankees they were, they picked a fight. And another fight, and another, until this became the last gang that Gekikara had to face because all the rest of them were already too shaken to challenge her again.

Gekikara had started bashing the last girl’s head into the ground with glee so Yuko thought it’d be best to stop her there. “Hey Geki~ Black and Sado will be back any time now so let’s go home.”

“Hehe okay~” Gekikara let go of the girl’s hair and followed as Yuko started heading back. Lately, this had been the routine - Gekikara having fun fighting while Yuko watched over her like a parent watching over her kid on the playground. Unless, someone insulted Gekikara by calling her insane or something (which happened a lot) then Yuko would have to jump in and pound them senseless. In her opinion, everyone was a little insane in their own way, so what right did they have to call Geki that?

Glancing back, Yuko saw Gekikara following quietly, hands stuck in her jacket pockets. The jacket brought back memories of not too long ago - Black had come home from an errand run, shopping bags in one hand and two sukajan jackets in the other. She tossed the red one to Torigoya and the green to Gekikara, which they both shrugged on a moment later, replacing the jackets they had on before. A majestic phoenix in flight for Torigoya, and a dragon soaring high over Mount Fuji for Gekikara. Shibuya also appeared a moment later in the doorway behind Black, making her way towards the couches with her own pink version hanging from her shoulders decorated with twin koi fish.

They never asked where Black got them from, but they hardly cared. And besides the matching aspect that served to unify them, the jackets had a practical purpose as well – winter was just around the corner at the time - it would keep them warm in more ways than one. Yuko also remembered teasing Black about giving Gekikara a dragon design like her own, but Black just ignored her like every time Yuko tried to mess with her. Although Yuko could’ve sworn she saw Black’s eyes shift to Gekikara quickly then back as if afraid to be caught staring.

Gekikara had changed quite a bit since joining them, her hair now cut and framed one side of her face, revealing the scars below her left eyebrow for prominent display, and now she spoke a lot more, or maybe laughed was more like it. Her addition changed the others a bit as well, everyone took care of the youngest among them (they don’t know Gekikara’s real age but she acted young albeit growing more mature by the day). And with her there, their little group finally seemed complete, the last space to Yuko’s left filled.

Yuko still remembered a few months ago when she had just found the fragile looking girl, hiding under her dining table in that worn down house. Yuko never asked what happened as it was her code, but she figured that some yakuza had broken in and probably taken Gekikara’s mother due to some debt or something. She knew Gekikara lived with her mother from a few photos she found in there, though to be fair, it didn’t seem like her mother took care of her at all. And that’s when Yuko decided to take her in. Besides, Gekikara didn’t seem to care that her mother was gone (making Yuko think she was used to it) and with her the black van that had been parked outside when Yuko arrived vanished as well.

Black put her to bed as soon as they got home (she carried her the whole way and eventually Gekikara had fallen asleep). But as time went on, no one came looking for Gekikara and she just became a part of their everyday lives.

The first word she uttered was what they named her – Gekikara. Black had some spicy senbei crackers laying around and Gekikara had helped herself to them while they were out fighting. They found her with the empty bag and red crumbs on her face, giggling to herself and that’s when she said it: “Gekikara~”

So then they found out that the fragile wasn’t fragile at all, quite the opposite in fact. Shibuya having that hard head and temper she possesses, decided to pick a fight with Gekikara after she was all hopped up on the spiciness, which was the first and last time they fought. Several solid hits later and Gekikara still stood unfazed, though she did stagger around, she never fell. Then a single hit knocked Shibuya out.

It took a bit to get over the initial shock, but when Yuko started laughing her ass off then everyone cracked a smile and helped prop Shibuya up. Maybe Gekikara fit in with them even better than Yuko had hoped. And so the last room to Yuko’s left was finally filled.

But then there was still the issue of Gekikara going on a rampage. You’d think they would all freak out or something, but Geki was the baby and it was like she was taking her first steps so they just let her run around and destroy things while watching with all smiles. Luckily, they didn’t have an address for the town to bill the damages to.

Eventually though, they had to calm her down somehow because they had to get some sleep and letting a rampaging Gekikara loose in the middle of the night was not a good idea, so Black used her speed to catch her or basically hug her from behind, effectively pinning her arms down while Yuko ran up and delivered a karate chop to her neck to knock her out. Then Black just carried her back to bed (again) and the others called it a night as well as if nothing had ever happened. What a weird bunch.

That wasn’t the only time either. Shibuya found it amusing that Gekikara would rampage if you gave her some crackers so of course she did just that. Long story short, they eventually found out that Shibuya was the cause of it all and Sado put her in her place. And from then on, senbei crackers were banned in the warehousehold.

“Black!” Seeing the others at the warehouse’s back entrance, Gekikara ran up gleefully and Black just patted her on the head a few times before handing over what Gekikara was really after – the melon pan (they found that giving Gekikara sweet things made her calm down instead of the opposite with the spicy senbei). Sado took the rest of the bags and went to putting them away, then pulled out some pots to cook over their ever blazing fire (luckily they had purchased some camping gear and were finally able to take a break from take-out).

Financially, they were a lot better off than they were before. Besides Yuko and Sado, Black had actually gotten a job in the grocery store in town, but Shibuya refused to find work and they were too worried to send Torigoya or Gekikara out on their own (they were really more worried about the place and their co-workers rather than the two themselves). Nevertheless they had everything they needed, and more than enough if you asked Yuko because she thought as long as they had each other they’d be perfectly fine. But of course, Sado showing her overprotective side, thought a bit otherwise.

“Yuko.”

“Hmm?” Yuko fell back in her comfy recliner, ready to take a nap. Gekikara took her bread and hopped on Yuko’s lap sideways, earning an oomph from the latter before she tried to move her into a more comfortable position. Honestly, it looked like Yuko was cradling a baby. A big, teenage, spice-loving, yankee baby.

Though they all felt a sense of connection to Yuko, Gekikara was especially close to her, preferring to follow her around everywhere and listened only to what Yuko said. She never followed orders from anyone else, unless Black was mad, then everyone followed what Black said.

“I think it’s about time we get an apartment.”

The place fell silent instantly. Even Gekikara had stopped munching on her snack and looked at Yuko with those wide eyes - that was one thing that hadn’t changed.

.

.

.

“...Why?” Yuko finally spoke after a bit of consideration. Her tone was quiet but not a whisper, and held more authority in that one word than they had ever heard before.

Sado wasn’t going to let that intimidate her though. Even if Yuko didn’t want to move, it was best for them, and especially for Yuko. A warehouse was not the best living conditions for a patient, but Yuko was adamant, and even if she tried to make it look like she was just being lazy by taking all those naps, Sado saw those telltale signs of tiredness in Yuko’s eyes no matter how she tried to hide it. Attempting to choose her next words carefully, Sado started, “I know this is our home...But as long as we’re together than any place can become our home right? That’s what we all believe.”

“You’re avoiding the question.”

Sado nearly gulped. But when has Sado ever backed down from a confrontation? It’s simply not in her nature to submit, not even to Yuko. “You know why I’m suggesting this.”

A battle of wills that no one wanted to interrupt. Even Shibuya wasn’t going to get in on this, no way, she just leaned against the wall and stayed out of it as far as possible. Sado and Yuko glared at each other and the tension was becoming unbearable, the air heavy. Torigoya watched them curiously, her focus caught on the two and Black’s book remained closed even though she normally would’ve been reading by now.

The others all wondered if this would break out in a fight – that’s how disputes were usually settled. But Yuko had never fought any of them after they moved in, and none ever felt the need to challenge her either. Though they’ve definitely never seen Yuko get into such an argument with Sado of all people before. It was a complete mystery how this would play out.

“You know~ If you got tired of cooking on the fire you could just get someone else to do it, Sado. I’m sure Shibuya would’ve happily agreed~”

The others (besides the one mentioned) cringed involuntarily. There was an agreement to never...EVER let Shibuya pick where they ate out, let alone cook for them. The very thought struck fear into their hearts (and stomachs).

“What? Quit kidding around.”

“Aww come on Sado~ I know you don’t like parting with your precious apron but it’s time to hand it over~”

It’s true, Sado always wore an apron when she cooked, just like a mother, but she argued that she just didn’t want to get her coat dirty. “Hey I told you not to make fun of my apron!”

Then why did she choose a pink one...

Yuko only grinned like a squirrel and chose not to say anything.

“Yuko...” Sado sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose and feeling a migraine forming.

“Actually, you know what? You’re right. Let’s move.”

“Huh? EEEHHHHHH?!”

“But an apartment seems too small don’t you think? We need to have lots of space.”

“...For what exactly?” Sado asked cautiously.

“For fighting obviously!”

Sado facepalmed. Right. Of course. What else could it be.

“Hmm somewhere where we can fight all we want...A place where we would fit in...Ah! I know~”

They all waited anxiously for Yuko to tell them what she was thinking, though Sado wasn’t sure she wanted to hear it. It’d just be another of Yuko’s little ideas and Sado had long since become wary of such ‘ideas’.

If Yuko could grin any wider then her face would split open. “What do you think about going to school?”

Sado and Shibuya nearly fell over in surprise.

“You’re kidding?! I just got out of that hellhole and you wanna drag me back in?!” Shibuya was furious to say the least but Sado seemed to be deep in thought.

“It won’t be that bad~”

“I’m pretty damn sure it will!” Shibuya argued, striding up to Yuko and eyes blazing but the latter just sat there and stared back.

“...”

“...”

“...I will follow Yuko-san.”

All eyes turned to Black who had just spoken up for the first time that day, which really wasn’t all that rare—what was rare was for her to speak up at all. And that shocked everyone into silence once again.

“...See? Black agrees with me~” Yuko eventually said, quite giddily, like she had just won a prize or something.

“Hmm...I don’t really care~” Torigoya gave her consent as well, then went back to playing with the ends of her hair. Well, that’s about the longest she’s ever listened due to her short attention span so that was expected.

“Well Sado? What do you say?”

Sado was pulled out of her thoughts and met Yuko’s gaze, a silent agreement seemed to be made between them. “...I guess I don’t see why not.”

Though she didn’t sound entirely sure about it, but it was good enough for Yuko.

“Hehe~ Good!” Yuko was happy her right hand agreed with her plans. “And how ‘bout you, Geki? Wanna try going to school with us?”

Gekikara smiled, giggling lightly. “Will it be fun?”

“Of course it will~”

“Then I’m in! And we should all go! We’re a family after all~” She giggled, putting a hand to her mouth. Biting her nails was a habit she picked up a long time ago and Yuko was still trying to teach her not to do that. Gekikara still had a lot to learn - like caring about others especially your comrades, and not to fight without a good reason. But Yuko knew her time was running out to teach her and that’s why she wanted to spend her remaining moments with her friends, fighting alongside them, and going to school may provide that chance.

But maybe Yuko was wrong—they weren’t just friends or comrades. They were family. And this time it was Gekikara who taught her that.

“You’re right.” This time Yuko had a soft smile lighting up her features, nostalgic and free. “We are family, and a family sticks together.”

Then everyone found themselves with smiles making ways onto their faces, even Black cracked a small grin.

“Now let’s see~ Geki’s the baby, Shibuya’s the angsty teenager...”

“Oi. Who you callin’ angsty?”

“Black’s the university student...”

All she got was a stare.

“Torigoya’s the NEET...”

Torigoya wasn’t paying attention, but Yuko earned a deadpan look from Sado that said ‘we’re all NEETs, you know’.

“Sado’s the overprotective mother...”

“I’m the one who wears the pants in this family.”

“Hey no you’re not! I’m the dad so I wear the pants!”

“Says who?”

Another glaring contest ensued.

“...”

“...”

“Well whatever~” Sado was the first to look away. She didn’t see a point in duking it out with Yuko over the matter and she knew if they kept at it they would spend the rest of the day locking gazes which would just be a waste of time. Yuko was just too hardheaded sometimes (Sado says that but they’ve spent hours doing just that before when neither refused to back down).

But with that out of the way, Yuko addressed Shibuya next, back to her serious side and spoke with complete sincerity. You could see it in her eyes. “We protect our own. That’s what makes us a family. Nothing can get to us if we fight together.”

Shibuya was stunned so bad she forgot all about her previous anger. Not only had Yuko reassured her with those few words, but she knew Yuko meant them. It was like a golden rule for the six of them though no one had ever said it aloud before, and now that she did, Shibuya couldn’t help but reconsider. She wouldn’t be alone anymore, they wouldn’t betray her, she was absolutely sure of that now. So there was nothing to worry about.

“Fine...” Shibuya sighed. “I give.”

Yuko had a way of doing that to you, making you feel like you’re not alone, like you’re a part of something, like you belong. Like you had a place to call home, and Yuko herself finally understood where home was—it was with your family. Leave it to Gekikara to say something like that—when you least expect it and from the last person you’d expect to hear it from.

With family is where you stand, where you stay, where you’re not alone. In family, you have trust, safety, reason, comrades, and even freedom. Your family is your home, and where you leave your heart. Because it didn’t matter where, but who you were with. Looks like Yuko learned something as well, and she couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Then let’s take the top! Majisuka Gakuen here we come!”

She stood and raised her fist high, earning cheers of consent from the rest of her family. It had been a full year now, circling back to winter but this time Yuko wasn’t alone. And come next spring, they would all be enrolled in what would become their new home.

Gekikara just laughed and laughed, the giggle resounding throughout the entire warehouse that didn’t feel so empty when they were all together. And they weren’t scared of her like most people, in fact, they laughed along with her.

A/N: I don't really like how Gekikara is like a kid here (she's not like that in the show), but I feel like since her mom was so useless, Yuko has to teach her everything. Then she'll get more mature like how she's so calm in Majisuka Gakuen 2, well, most of the time at least :P

I'm not sure when I'll update next but there will be a next time. I have a lot of other stories in progress and I should really finish one of them at least lol but I'll try to get this done first (I might need to rewatch it for reference too...) :) Hope you're willing to wait!

So Yuko invited Geki without knowing she's quite 'insane'. Well the rest of the family members were not really normal anyway.

Now why Majijo? And how can they enroll there? With Sado's help? Since Sado was originally a Majijo's student when she met Yuko

Gekikara has arrived! :onioncheer:

And she is the 'baby' of the family. :on woohoo:

I can see Yuko-san teaching her everything she needs to know and it kind of makes sense that she acts like a little kid. Her mother wasn't  very good person and now that she has people who care about her so it's like she finally able to live the childhood she never got to experience.

At least that's how I see it.  :glasses:

Anyways I'll be eagerly waiting for the next update! :on cny2:

Hane a nice trip! :byebye:

You have created one cute Gekikara  :luvluv2:

Lol "created" sounds like you're the one that gave birth to her.  :wahaha:

Well anyways, giving Yuko the "mother" role, I don't think anyone in Rappappa can fit it besides Yuko.  :hehehe:

Yuko would be the cheerful mom,

Sado the overprotective father,

The cool oldest daughter Black,

The "I don't really care much." second-oldest Torigoya,

The always mad and has bad tastes second-youngest Shibuya,

And the cute psycho youngest daughter Gekikara

Or something like that? Sorry, it's just my imagination running wild again...  :shy2:

I'm back! Did ya miss me? XD Nah just kidding~

So ya, it took a bit but I wrote what I call the second arc of APCH, and it turned out a lot...longer, like a LOT longer than I anticipated :nervous To give you an idea, Arc I was about 14K words, Arc II is about 18K, jeez and I was just planning like another chapter or two...lol

Alright total: 11 Parts + Epilogue

Enjoy! Leave some feedback or anything you thought of while reading I don't care what you say :P

@Genkikid: I'm pretty sure Yuko wouldn't care if Gekikara was insane or not (Yuko's a little crazy herself lol) Umm cuz Majijo is the strongest, and enrollment, well, the same as everyone else (Idk how yankees even get into school and then turn it into a full on yankee school *shrugs* it's not very reasonable in the first place haha ask Aki-P :P) And I'm just not going to address that, my version of MJSK is a bit different (altered) than the actual lol (aka I forgot but just pretend she drops out and re-enrolls with Yuko)
@DarkHeart: Yaaaasss Gekikara is totally a kid to me bc her mom didn't teach her anything :smhid But then with Yuko she finally learns and grows up like how she is in MJSK 2 :) And not insane all the time lol XD Thanks! It was a nice trip :) and thanks for waiting~
@Ruka Kikuchi: Gekikara IS adorable! That cinnamon roll Matsui Rena~ XD Here's the Majijo takeover!
@junchan: Well ya, haven't you ever seen babies pounding their rattles and toys on the floor? It's the same idea XD :nervous but with another person's head ahahahahaha XD I tried to make her so cute cuz she is! and innocent too :P Yuko wears the pants, nuff said  Thanks for waiting!
@key17: Right? Don't blame me it's Gekikara she's a special exception XD Haha thanks for waiting~
@yocelin17: Haha baby Geki~ She's just too cute imo XD Thanks for waiting~
@rindg: Hehe thank you Rin-chan~ :) Lol if you wanna consider it 'giving birth' since they're my characters?...Nah that sounds so weird  That's really how I see Rappapa as a family. They've each got such distinct and strong personalities but they work together which I love XD But wait...if they were really a regular modern family...everyday life...oh god ANOTHER IDEA TO ADD TO THE LIST I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS :panic:    :nervous (and with pairings of course--*slapped XD)

Arc II

Part 7: Start

Now it was spring again - a time for new life, new beginnings. Yuko was determined. What was her intention you ask? Well it was simple.

Yuko was going to turn the entirety of Majisuka Gakuen on its head.

Step by step, she literally did just that. And what I mean by that - is she literally climbed up one stair step at a time, knocking girls on their asses as her queens followed (knocking the ones that kept trying to get up back on their asses).

The day started off as normal as possible, the only difference being that the six of them now had to wear school uniforms under their signature jackets when they got up in the morning. Black was the first to awaken (she had a weird habit of getting up at the crack of dawn) and sped through knocking on all the large bins’ doors, a loud clanging sound that woke every occupant instantly.

Not all of them really got up that quick though.

Though it was hard, Yuko groaned and rolled off her futon, half-awake and only realized she had done so when the soft fluffy bed suddenly turned into hard metal floor, the cold giving her the shock of the morning.

“What the f—!”

“Yuko! Get your ass out of bed! If I have to get up so freaking early then you do too!” Sado’s angry voice resounding throughout the place.

“Tch...She’s probably all pissed ‘cause she didn’t get her beauty sleep...” Yuko muttered as she groggily got up. Then all of a sudden she felt dizzy and couldn’t see straight, stumbling to lean against the wall as another weak spell hit her.

Damn it! This is not the time...

Yuko knew she couldn’t let the others find her like this, especially not Sado. So after a moment to recover, taking a deep breath, she slapped both her cheeks and stepped out of her room, her face set. Nothing was going to stop her, not now.

“Took ya long enough.” Sado greeted her from the recliners with a yawn. “What time is it anyways?”

Yuko took her own seat, trying to stifle her own yawn and blaming Sado for contaminating her. She was having enough trouble staying awake as it was and yawns were contagious!

“It’s 7 in the morning.” Black replied, also seated in her own recliner (people sure liked to toss furniture on the side of the road in this town) with her book open in her hand.

“What?! Why so early?”

“So we won’t be late.” She answered simply.

Sado gave her a look that said ‘Are you kidding me?’. “Isn’t this a yankee school? It doesn’t matter if we’re on time.”

“I asked Black to wake us up.”

And then Sado turned that look towards Yuko.

“I plan on taking the top. Today.” Yuko said, eyes staring straight ahead as if she could see something no one else could.

“Wait, you want to take the top in just one day? Have you even considered if there are strong opponents? I know we’re here to back you up, but you shouldn’t push yourself too hard, Yuko.”

Sado was just worried for her like always and Yuko appreciated that, however, it didn’t mean that she wouldn’t try to live life to the fullest. She was serious in her decision. “I know...but pushing past my limits keeps me from getting bored.”

“Yuko?” Something in her eyes was scaring Sado.

“She’s just making sure we’ll have enough time to clean up the trash. Right, Sado? I mean, I’m sure even you can take on at least a couple small fry right?” The mocking tone could only belong to one person.

“Shibuya.”

Shibuya merely smirked as Sado turned to glare at her. So early in the morning and the two were already going at it.

“And how the hell did you wake up so easily? I thought you were a lazy bum.” Sado taunted.

“Shut up. If anyone’s a bum around here, it’s you.” Shibuya pointed at Sado’s face. “And as for your question...” Then her face fell as she looked away, lost in thought. “I guess old habits die hard.”

Silence followed and Yuko hurried to break it. “Well let’s get going, I don’t like waiting around.”

They all stood ready to head to school, when Black pointed something out. “Torigoya and Gekikara are not here.”

“What? Well where the heck are they?”

“Don’t tell me they’re still sleeping.”

Honestly, it should’ve been expected from those two.

Yuko ignored Shibuya and Sado, making her way to Torigoya’s quarters. She knew—that without a doubt—Torigoya was still sleeping.

“Black,” She called, “I leave Gekikara to you.” Then a gust of wind blew past and Yuko was sure Gekikara would be up by the time she was done.

Once inside, she was greeted with the sprawled still figure of Torigoya still in bed, her covers not even over her and snoring away soundly. Then Yuko took a deep breath before... “IF YOU DON’T GET UP RIGHT NOW I’M GONNA GROPE YOU!”

It was quite effective as Torigoya’s eyes snapped open and she scrambled to her feet (though whether she was actually awake or not remained a mystery). Yuko nodded in approval, grabbed her collar and proceeded to drag her outside where the others were waiting.

“Alright! Let’s go!” She shouted enthusiastically, not a care in the world that she was dragging a half-naked Torigoya behind her the whole way there (luckily Black was smart enough to grab the girl’s uniform for her to change into later).

The walk wasn’t too long, it was mere moments before the six of them walked right onto the property of Majisuka Gakuen, the courtyard littered with trash greeted them along with a group of yankees with oddly glittery gold eyebrows.

“Hey Sado, you think they’re like the gatekeepers or something?”

Sado quirked an eyebrow, not sure if Yuko was joking or not. Then Yuko grinned at her, which did not clear anything up at all, however before Sado could formulate a response, the said group got up from where they were squatted in the middle of the yard and headed towards them.

“Ah well it doesn’t matter anyways~”

Yuko cracked her knuckles and stepped up, the rest of them lined up in a row behind her and ready to fight as soon as even a single person flinched.

“So, you gonna let us pass?”

She thought she’d try asking first, and well, if that didn’t work then there was always the backup plan, which she would actually prefer. It would take less effort and time, since they were almost late for class and Yuko didn’t want to be late on the first day, not on an important day like this. For now she would obey the rules, but come tomorrow after Yuko became the new top, then she would make her own.

The leader of the golden eyebrows (as far as Yuko could tell) got right into her face and tried to glare her down, but Yuko just beamed wider.

“I guess that means Plan B then~”

---

Five minutes later, Yuko and her family had made it inside the building without a scratch, while the group with the glittery eyebrows was littered with scratches, as well as their groaning forms littered all over the courtyard.

“Which room is it?”

“How am I supposed to know?”

“Weren’t you the one who was in charge of getting us enrolled?”

“I just grabbed the papers. You guys forged your own signatures so don’t go pinning anything on me.”

The six of them strolled down the hallways, occasionally kicking aside a few stray yankees but most had made way immediately seeing them (they had all seen the fight go down out front from the classroom windows and none wanted to end up in the same way).

“Forget that, why the heck didn’t you save some for me, Black? I was just itching to bust some heads and Yuko-san told the both of us to do it.”

“Speed is of the utmost importance, the slow falter and lose themselves on the path of righteousness.”

“Is that a jab at me?”

“Just shut up, Shibuya. It’s better that way.”

“Ha? I dare you to say that again, Sa—”

“Ah! Is it this one?”

“It’s a first year classroom right?”

“Good enough then. Let’s go in.”

They filed in one by one, scaring the teacher up front as every single head in the room turned towards them, all choosing one up front to glare at. The other ‘students’ were there already since school had started, sitting haphazardly in groups of desks that had been kicked together, most sporting wild hair styles with neon highlights and all of their uniforms modified in some way. Yuko and them were just a bit late due to some...traffic issues, but it gave them a chance to introduce themselves to their new class.

“Torigoya hurry up! Quit spacing out!”

Torigoya, who had been staring absentmindedly at a bulletin board out in the hallway, immediately jumped at the call and rushed inside, past Yuko who had been waiting for her. The rest were already inside and glaring the whole class into submission.

Standing in front of the blackboard, on the left were Shibuya, Black and Sado, from the right were Torigoya and Gekikara, leaving a space for Yuko where she stepped up a moment later. When she did, then everyone’s attention turned to her.

She shouldn’t have been so intimidating with her small stature, unmodified uniform (except for a chain hanging from her hip), and really she just wasn’t really scary looking like Sado or Gekikara, but nonetheless something about her caught everyone’s undivided attention as they all stared at her and her alone, waiting for something to happen.

Then Yuko grinned, like she always does. But for those who had never met her before, it was the most terrifying thing they’d ever seen. Most transfer students, especially first-years, either cower in fear or say nothing at all, hoping to get through the day without incident.

But not Yuko.

Because Yuko was Yuko and she knew she was strong, her confidence drew them in, and being strong meant she would be targeted. But that’s exactly what she wanted, what she looked forward to.

There was a team from their own class, a group of freshmen dressed in leather jackets that sat in the back and Yuko saw them, finding them a bit different from the rest. A brass band needed lots of members after all, and Yuko wouldn’t mind a few extra faces to help her out in ruling the school.

“Follow me if you want to become the strongest...” She began, staring directly the gang in the back. “And for anyone who wants to challenge me...” Yuko eyed everyone across the room one by one. “I’ll be waiting outside.”

What happened next would be taken down in the history of Majisuka Gakuen. A group of 30 yankees, all well prepared for a fight with pipes and bats even, came to meet her outside in the courtyard. But not a single one was from Majijo, no, the students of Majijo wanted to put Yuko in her place but they had been beat to it.

Yabakune had wandered in at just the right time, and Yuko put on a show.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zqlsm93rhlo

She singlehandedly defeated every single last one of them, laughing through it all.

She wouldn’t let her queens help either, and yes I do mean queens because right then, Yuko was put in her place indeed - at the top of Majijo as the President of Rappapa – the most elite fighters that reigned at the top. And of course Sado became her Vice President while Black, Torigoya, Shibuya, and Gekikara became the Four Heavenly Queens.

Not many wanted to challenge her after that.

Now don’t get me wrong, there was a good reason why that incident was recognized as Yuko’s ascent to the top.
To make it official, they still had to defeat the current top and do it properly...but there was just one little issue. Majijo currently had no President of Rappapa to defeat. The last one had graduated with the last batch of third-years and Majijo was in need of a new teppen. A second-year, who was now in her third-year, had wormed her way into Rappapa somehow back about a year ago and was looking forward to taking the top easily with her senpai out of the way (she hadn’t been strong enough to defeat her properly) but now she had the way clear with a good chance.

That is, until Yuko came along.

Yuko heard about her, found her, and beat her in the blink of an eye. The girl landed a solid punch on her cheek, feeling cocky, but she didn’t know that Yuko had let herself get hit as a sort of test. And then Yuko grabbed her fist, twisted her arm in a painful angle and flipped the girl right over her shoulder, ending with her own fist in front of the girl’s face, never delivering the finishing blow.

Everyone in the school knew the third-year candidate was weak, but they only saw how weak she was after paling in comparison to Yuko’s strength. Rappapa was always strong, the strongest in the school, but she took it to another level. Then there was no doubt now, Yuko was the new, undisputed top of Majisuka Gakuen.

Some tried their hand at it, ambushing her on her way up the staircase, but not a single one reached her—her new queens made sure of that.

But this was only the beginning.

Everything started from here.

A new Majijo under Yuko’s lead, and she would change it to become the number one school in the district – as the strongest, toughest, and the most serious.

From now on, Majisuka Gakuen would learn a new meaning of what it meant to fight.

---

It wasn’t easy, actually it was quite hard, but Yuko managed to shake off Sado and the others. She told them that she wanted some fresh air—by herself. They protested, Sado didn’t look convinced at all which made Yuko gulp, but eventually they let her out on her own while they hung around school a bit longer, cleaning up some trash as they put it.

So Yuko strolled down the streets, those oh so familiar streets where she first walked as she escaped to live at the warehouse—but now she was going back. Yuko wasn’t afraid of being contained there anymore though, at first she avoided it all costs, never wanting to go back, but now she wasn’t afraid. She had her family to back her up.

They’re so overprotective though~

Yuko chuckled, breathing in the cool outdoor air on the way to her regular check-ups. The air was always better outside, whether it was hot, cold, raining, snowing or just a nice sunny day like today (though a bit chilly). Yuko never liked to be stuck inside and kept the window of Rappapa’s clubroom open every day. She was a free spirit that couldn’t be contained, not anymore.

I hope she works today. I haven’t seen her in a while~ She’ll definitely be surprised to hear that I’m the top of Majijo now. Yuko smiled at the thought.

Little did she know - that person she was looking forward to seeing – she wasn’t working today. Nor would she ever work again.

A/N: I wanted to keep with the idea that Yuko meets one new person per part...oops just ignore that coughcough LOL XD but let's just pretend she meets Majijo in this part and the school itself can be that 'person' :)

It's beautiful, Keicchan...  :mon hanky:

That's what you call high school debut! I guess I should pick a fight with everyone I see and take control of my school too huh?  :mon evil:

Yuko would be like :mon unsure: "If you want a fight, come and get it." She'd be just that kind of person. Communicating with her fists? THAT IS ART!

But then... You can't help thinking about how this would end...  :mon cry:

Who's that person Yuko's wanting to see? Is the people Yuko meet along through the story arcs are the MG 1 cast?

Yuko is finally Majisuka's teppen!  :onioncheer:

And with Sado and the four Heavenly Queens no one will be able to reach her! (Until Majisuka1's storyline begins but I still believe Yuko would have deafeted Maeda if they fought). :hehehe:

Thank you for this new chapter, it was awesome like always  :kneelbow: :byebye:

Hi little late cuz I have a lot of hw from school :(

@Ruka Kikuchi: Yes as far as I see it lol. And right? Junchan brought up groping and I was like why not? XD
@rindg: Ah Rin-chan~ Thank you very much :) Haha good luck taking over your school! Don't forget to be BA at the same time XD Lol Yuko is totally like that XD and ya...
@Genkikid: Teppen Tottande! Or wait she just did lol :P Hmm you'll find out here who that is, but as for who she meets I'll let you read. No spoilers~
@DarkHeart: Finally right! And ya I think the same, Yuko totally would've won against Maeda, she tied(?) with Sado after all, and Yuko's even stronger. Haha you're welcome :)

Part 8: Purpose

Months passed and things quieted down after the frenzy that tore through the school with Yuko becoming Rappapa’s President. The whole school had been buzzing every single day about their new teppen being so strong, it wasn’t hard to guess that many people still tried to challenge her, but none of them could really even be called a ‘challenge’.

Rappapa used to be made up of just the teppen of Majijo and her group, whoever was in it. But with Yuko’s rule, it became that not just her was recognized as the strongest, so were her queens – and that’s how they were dubbed the Four Heavenly Queens. Anyone who wanted to fight Yuko had to go through them first. But thanks to that, Yuko grew more and more bored with no one to fight.

If she was lucky then a few Yabakune girls would go after her (Majijo had a long standing rivalry after all, Yuko heard it was something that went back to the first top and boy issues or something) but no one was a match for the demon.

“Go on ahead Yuko-san, we got this.” Sado called over her shoulder. The four queens were currently ‘cleaning up the street’ as they put it, which basically meant kicking around some trash (small-fry from other schools) on their way home and Sado was just watching, not lifting a finger because she didn’t have to and played with her kendama instead.

Yuko just sighed and left, there was nothing for her to do anyways, they were too weak so might as well let her queens handle it. Not that they would let her get involved anyways. It was some kind of hierarchy all of a sudden, only those who got past her queens would have the honor of fighting Yuko, the rest weren’t worth her time and those days where Yuko used to fight alongside them had long disappeared. She was feeling awfully lonely lately and especially bored.

“Man~” Yuko scratched her head. “Even Sado calls me ‘Yuko-san’ now, it used to just be ‘Yuko’.”

Taking a detour, she made her way down to the docks, the sun setting behind the ocean waves and casting an orange glow on the waters. She stopped to admire it for a second, occasionally finding scenes like that quite refreshing, like a perfect moment that lasted literally for a moment.

Yuko appreciated these scenes for their lack of permanence, she should enjoy it while she could was her motto. ‘Forever’ wasn’t an option, especially not for her. She had to make her time worthwhile.

As she rounded a corner, Yuko started hearing telltale sounds of fighting and she got excited. But it was quickly extinguished as soon as she saw one girl in the midst of them, kicking all their asses.

Well there goes my fun.

But she didn’t feel like going home just yet, her queens were all still out fighting so it’d just be Yuko home alone, bored, nothing to do, sitting around and staring at the wall like an idiot. Plus her mind would wander towards things she didn’t want to think about. She would feel sad and depressed and lose her energy so she wanted to avoid facing it just yet. Therefore, she stayed and watched, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall comfortably as the show went on.

The girl was strong, and young too. Neck-length black hair and a uniform from one of the middle schools that was splattered with blood (none of it hers), and she piqued Yuko’s interest just a tiny bit. The way she fought was extremely aggressive, almost all offense and no defense, as if she was completely confident in her skills—too confident. It bordered on cockiness. Perhaps she had never lost.

Then someone needs to teach her a lesson.
Yuko thought in amusement.

The fight was over not too long later and the girl stood panting, catching her breath and refusing to fall in exhaustion after beating all those people without any help. She almost reminded Yuko of herself, back a long, long time ago.

“Hey. Who are you?”

Reminiscing on a time when she hadn’t met the others and lost in thought, Yuko didn’t notice when the girl had turned her gaze over, or how she was glaring at her so intensely. Her eyes were almost burning. Yuko had never seen anything like it.

Interesting.

“See ya later~” And so Yuko turned tail and ran, ignoring the shouts from the girl and just sprinted all the way home. She knew the girl would be too tired to catch up, and Yuko was really fast, the fastest person she knew and had never lost a race (except maybe against Black). The girl would be too tired to properly mess with today, and Sado would surely scold Yuko if she got home too late, so she ran and ran, laughing at nothing in particular but knowing that she had found something amusing to kill her boredom for a while.

---

The second time Yuko met the girl, it was just the next day and Yuko knew it was coming. She felt that if she went to the docks again then she’d find her there, just a gut feeling but Yuko always trusted her gut. She wasn’t exactly looking forward to it, nor was she expecting much, but it was better than lazing around doing nothing. Yuko liked to be active.

She made it all the way to the harbor, the sea waves lapping at the concrete before she met her.

“Hey! Are you from Majijo? You ran away too quickly yesterday.” Someone called out and Yuko turned to look at them lazily.

“Oh it’s you.” She said without a hint of interest. “You’re a middle schooler right? Shouldn’t you be heading home by now?”

“Are you mocking me?” The girl started walking up to her. Yuko wondered why the girl was approaching her, though she knew from the girl’s attitude and the way she carried herself that she would try to chase after Yuko after yesterday. She also wondered how that girl even recognized Yuko from that distance because it took her a good minute to actually come over. And when she did, Yuko gave her once over then promptly turned on her heel.

“Well bye~”

“Hey! I just got here and you’re running away again?”

That made Yuko scoff, “I am not running away, kid.”

“It looks like that to me.” She taunted, eyes challenging. It seemed she always looked like that.

“Jeez~ Just because I’m not fighting you doesn’t mean I’m running away.” Yuko rolled her eyes, turning back and sticking her hand in her pocket. “Is that how you see everyone who refuses to fight?”

“Yes.”

She sighed. The girl answered too quickly, too simply, and definitely too confidently. “What’s your name, kid?”

The girl frowned in annoyance, staring off into space somewhere below Yuko’s face and her short black strands fell to cover part of her eyes, which she then pushed back with a run of her hand – exactly like Yuko does. “Quit calling me kid.”

“What you don’t like that? Then how ‘bout brat? It fits better~” Yuko teased, earning a twitch in the girl’s features.

“Shut up.”

“Then tell me your name and maybe I’ll stop calling you ‘kid’, kid.”

“...My name is Center.”

Yuko scoffed again in amusement. “That’s a pretty presumptuous name.”

“Are you going to keep mocking me or are you going to fight.” Center’s level of irritation was rising steadily, clenching her fists. She was known not to be very patient, nor does she like being underestimated.

“Nah~” And Yuko plopped down, legs swinging off the edge of the docks and her arms behind her propping herself up.

Center was caught off guard. “Wha—”

“Why don’t you tell me your real name, kid? ‘Cause I’m sure as hell not going to call you ‘Center’.” She didn’t even look at her, just stared off into the waters with a small smile.

“...”

“...”

No one moved or said anything for some time, Yuko didn’t turn to look to see if she was still there, but she was sure Center was. Center was going to leave that easily.

Eventually she heard a sigh, and another body sat down next to her, another set of legs dangling off the docks.

“Jurina. Matsui Jurina. I don’t go by it though.”

Yuko grinned, “Well then, nice to meet you Jurina~”

---

The last time they met, was again the next day, two days after the first. They hadn’t spoken much the day before, just sat there in comfortable silence watching the sun set. Then they went their separate ways moments later, as soon as the sun set, never promising to come back but both did, and both knew the other would as well.

Because they hadn’t spoke much, Yuko still hadn’t told the girl what she wanted to either, Jurina still needed to be taught a lesson while the latter was just curious about Yuko’s entire existence. Why she wouldn’t fight Jurina, how strong she was to being going to Majijo, or even her name. Yuko hadn’t even mentioned her name.

“Yuko-san, where are you going?”

Yuko was sneaking out of the warehouse when Sado caught her. The members of Rappapa had gone home early today, most of them lounging around in their own rooms and Yuko tried to take the chance to sneak outside. But Sado had noticed Yuko’s disappearance the last couple days even if the other queens hadn’t.

Yuko froze on the spot, turning around slowly and saw Sado standing in the middle of the room. “Ah...Sado! Hey, I was just going out for some fresh air, just a walk to stretch my muscles ya know? Haven’t fighting lately so I don’t wanna get rusty and all~” She tried to play it off, stretching her arms to exaggerate her point.

Sado quirked a brow. “A walk? So you’re going to fight? If you just said so then we would’ve come with you.”

“If I told you then I’d never get to have any fun right? You guys keep babying just ‘cause I’m the top or something.” Yuko vented. “Nothing’s changed. I’m still me so I don’t get why you won’t let me fight.” She pouted.

Sado tensed, realizing that Yuko was truly upset about the topic. “I’m sorry.” She bowed sincerely.

Yuko groaned. “See? This is exactly what I mean! When did you start treating me like your superior? You used to challenge me in arguments all the time! What happened?”

“I...”

“Forget it, it’s not a big deal really.” And Yuko walked through the door.

“Wait!”

She froze again.

“...Just come back safe alright? Bandaging your injuries all the time is a pain in the ass.”

Then Yuko smiled. She’s like my wife or something. Though Sado couldn’t see it because Yuko’s back was to her, so she just replied with a wave of her hand. “No worries, I’m just going to teach this brat a lesson.”

Like before, she strolled down to the docks freely, kicking at stray rocks on the streets. But unlike before, now there was a person already there, her back facing Yuko as she sat at the same spot waiting.

“Hey~” Yuko plopped down next to her. And when she got a frown in response, that’s when she noticed the cuts and bruises on the other girl’s face. “Shouldn’t you get that treated? Bet it hurts like hell.”

“...Are you worried about me?”

She picked up a hint of teasing in the girl’s voice, finding it amusing that Jurina was starting to show another side of herself. “Ha! You wish~”

But Yuko was worried, though she didn’t really know why, but she had already started considering Jurina like one of her own, like one of her little family yet not exactly. Jurina was some kid Yuko picked up on accident (though isn’t that how she met all the others?) but she was different. Yuko had a feeling Jurina wasn’t alone, just a little...lost. Yuko wanted to help, teach her like she was doing with Gekikara, like a sort of mentor. She did see a lot of her past self in this middle schooler after all.

“Why do you fight?” She randomly spoke up.

“Huh? What kind of question is that? I’m a yankee you know.” Jurina found the question a bit ridiculous.

“I don’t know, just felt like asking~” Yuko shrugged. “Like you probably fought today, not too long ago, how did it start? Why?”

Jurina found her questioning suspicious...but it couldn’t hurt to answer...right? “They were pissing me off, so I started punching.” A shake of the head made Jurina’s frown deepen. “What? Are you trying to teach me something? I don’t need your damn help.”

“Nah~ It’s just...someone taught me once—what fighting is really about I mean.” Yuko looked wistful, a bit sad and pained, staring off in the distance so it made Jurina’s anger fade a bit and turn into curiosity.

“...And what did they say?”

A small smile lit up Yuko’s face, a memory from not too long ago resurfacing.

And after remembering this, Yuko started to find her resolve again little by little. Yeah...she wouldn’t be sad anymore, she’d keep living—seriously, just like they always said.

“Hey, why’d you quit fighting?” Yuko asked. She was sitting in a break room in the resident wing of the hospital (even though she ran away, she wasn’t about to throw her life away and still returned for check-ups and medication every once a while). She got a raised eyebrow in response.

“Are you seriously asking me that? You know I’m here to become a nurse right?”

“Well yeah, but you’ve got to have reason for wanting to become a nurse. And I don’t see why you can’t fight and study at the same time.” Yuko shrugged.

The short girl with the side ponytail sighed and put down the clipboard, taking the seat next to Yuko. A break would be fine and she hadn’t seen her old friend in a while. Both of them stared out the window. “That’s kind of contradictory isn’t it? Hurting people and healing them at the same time.”

“I don’t fight to hurt people.” Yuko felt a little provoked by that. They were both yankees, they should both understand their code.

“I didn’t mean you did.”

“Hm.” Yuko grunted.

“...I’m serious you know.”

Yuko turned to look at her. “...Yeah. I know.”

“I want to help people.”

She could only sigh, then tried to smile and lighten the mood. Yuko hated when the air got heavy. “Well you’d better study hard! Obaa-chan doesn’t like slackers!”

The slightly shorter girl laughed. “You’re right~ She hates weak-minded people.”

“Yeah~ So I’m kinda glad you’re sure on your decision. I mean, you seriously didn’t hesitate at all to quit fighting and become a nurse.” Yuko mused, finding the other girl’s conviction amusing—not that Yuko wasn’t like that herself.

The two had met through ‘Obaa-chan’ who was a neighbor to the ramen shop where Yuko worked. Every morning, she’d say hi to the kind old lady and eventually was introduced to her granddaughter, who also happened to be a yankee. It was only a coincidence that the same granddaughter chose to become a nurse and work in the same hospital where Yuko came.

“Listen Yuko, if you ever want something, then you’d better be serious about it. Don’t hesitate.”

Yuko scoffed, she didn’t need someone else to tell her that – and that was another point where the two were alike (besides their heights). “Yeah yeah~ You don’t need to tell me that, Minami. I know.”

“...”

“...”

“I wish I could keep fighting.”

“...”

“But well, I’m a baka you know, I can’t do two things at once.” Minami joked. “Maybe some people can do both, and take both of them seriously. I wish I could, but I don’t think I can.” She looked a little sad, and a little wistful, but Yuko couldn’t tell who or what she was thinking about. She muttered under her breath, “Maybe I’m being selfish to keep her from fighting...”

Yuko just barely heard it, but knew not to say anything and chose to snicker instead. “You’re right, you are a baka, Bakamina~”

“Oi! Is that all you got from my speech?!”

“What speech? You call that a speech?!”

Minami started grumbling under her breath again, something about killing a certain squirrel for giving her that stupid nickname.

But even though Yuko always joked around to lighten the mood, it was just so people would enjoy themselves instead of being sad. Yuko was actually serious all the time—more than anybody. But you wouldn’t know that if you weren’t her friend.

Each of them were lost in their own thoughts and the only sounds were of the occasional cough from a patient or the buzzing of the lights.

“Why do you think people fight?” Yuko wondered out loud. She just said that she didn’t fight to hurt people, so now she was thinking what did she fight for? Maybe her friend had an idea, she was always spouting stuff about ‘seriousness’ anyways.

It took her a second of consideration before responding, and Yuko got even more than what she wanted as an answer. “For me, I think...”

“That hurting one another isn’t fighting. People fight to discover something precious, so I think that’s why people keep fighting all the time.” Yuko turned to Jurina. “To discover what that ‘something precious’ is.”

“You’re kidding.” Or that’s what Jurina would usually say, what she wanted to reply with, but she found herself saying something else. “And what is it that you fight for?”

“My friends. My family actually, they’re a bit more than just my friends.” Yuko answered so surely and Jurina wanted to know how she came upon that answer.

“Why? You fight for others then? I don’t see how that works.”

“Eh you’ll get it someday~” Yuko patted her head like a child.

“Hey! Don’t pat me like a kid.” Jurina growled, swatting the hand away. “Why the heck are we even talking about this anyways? I don’t even know you!”

“Oh yeah!” Yuko just seemed to realize that. “So for the record, my name’s Yuko. Just Yuko.” She mimicked Jurina’s introduction.

“Great. Now I have a name to call the crazy lady that started spouting nonsense at me when I tell other people about it.”

That earned an honest laugh from the other, Yuko’s sides heaving as she chuckled to her heart’s content. Though Jurina just watched her with that same deadpan expression like ‘Is she serious?’

And when Yuko finally stopped, she immediately shot up and stretched. “Alright that’s enough sentimental crap~ I gotta get home before Sado puts my ass on a platter.”

Who’s Sado?

“See ya around, kid.”

“I told you to quit calling me that!”

But Yuko already started walking away, humming some tune to herself. And only when Jurina thought she was gone for good did Yuko speak up again and break Jurina out of her thoughts. “And Jurina? Don’t worry about it too much~ I’m sure you have a good purpose for fighting too, whether you realize it or not.”

That only left Jurina with more questions but she knew Yuko wouldn’t answer them. However, when she really, truly thought about it - she did have a good purpose for fighting, beyond a simple reason as beating someone up because they pissed her off.

She fights for her friends...

In the long run, that wasn’t just a reason for one single fight—it was a purpose. Something that she always fought for in every battle. And Jurina could think of one person that she would like to always protect above anything else, someone she wanted to protect from everything else. What she didn’t know was that she had her purpose all along (or that Yuko saw her the other day, hanging out with another girl in the same uniform. But instead of a yellow cardigan, that girl wore a gray hoodie with the hood down for once).

This chapter, pretty meaningful.  XD

I already got the same feeling form when I watched Majisuka Gakuen, that there was something more than punching each other. There was a reason or a purpose like you said behind it, but actually seeing it in text form like this, it explains a lot more.  :)

So Minami and Yuko knew each other huh? She used to take or currently takes Yuko's medical checkups and all that.

And now we see scenes between Center and Yuko.

It's funny how she's connected to everyone like this. From what I know, she's probably the one suffering the most but she just doesn't want to show it. Or maybe she doesn't even realize that she's suffering.

I mean we all know about Yuko's illness and we know that there's no cure (yet?), but then she has the strongest and biggest heart out of everyone. It's honestly very heart-warming and bittersweet.

Now now, you got me thinking pretty deep about this, Keicchan.

Good Luck and thanks for the update!

So Yuko knows Minami and Center .... That actually explains so much!  :bingo:

She helped Maeda in Majisuka Gakuen 1 and I think we only saw Center in one scene. Maybe Yuko-san knew who Maeda was from Minami and maybe Center didn't try to be teppen because she respected Yuko-san to much!  :ding: :hehehe: :nya: :imdead:

Sorry, I got too excited. :kneelbow:

Anyway I loved this chapter like all the chapters before it and I really like the way you connect some of the characters with Yuko-san.   :on GJ: :byebye:

It was Minami!! And now Yuko met Center!! Each characters are connected to each others through Yuko. They don't know about it though.
Now I'm excited to know whom Yuko will meet and connect without them knowing. I'm wondering if Daruma is one of them whom Yuko will connect :nervous

And thanks for that great line from Yuko! I LOVE THAT! XD XD XD
I guess I can use that for waking up my friends here. lol

Part 8~~~
This part quiet 'serious'. lol
Poor Yuko~ She must be hate those changes in her life since the queens treat her as a superior *sigh
And I thought that middle school girl is Atsuko.
Why you dont try make Jurina as one of Yuko's 'family'? Along with Nezumi, maybe~
But then, that gonna change the story, right? lol
And Minami????? She is Yuko's besties???
Is she die here? Or not?

Thanks for the updates, Kei-chan~
So sorry for the late comments T0T
Gonna wait for the next one!\^0^/

So I think that Yuko and Minami are pretty alike, and so are Maeda and Sado.

For example, Minami told Maeda once, "Live seriously and don't hesitate. I hate a weak-minded Atsuko." Or something along those lines.

And Yuko, while she was in the hospital, grabbed Sado by the collar. "Stop hesitating. I hate when you're weak-minded."

Which makes me think that maybe the two could've met and had a talk at some point, but really this is just my imagination going wild lol :P They have a lot in common tho, even the fact that they both di--*slapped

@rindg: Ah thanks, I'm glad you agree bc this is how I saw it :P And I think the timeline fits if Minami was studying to be a nurse then Yuko would already be in Majijo so I added that in there~ What I like about Yuko is that she's accepted her fate, and just keeps going. She knows she's suffering but that won't stop her from living her remaining time, nor does it keep her from abandoning her friends and Majijo (like at the graduation) Haha I made you think deep yes! LOL XD
@DarkHeart: Right?! If they knew each other then that would make so much sense haha. Well there had to be a reason why they didn't until the second season, I mean they were already first years back in Majisuka 1. LOL everything goes back to Yuko XD
@Genkikid: Haha ya they don't know it but Yuko connects them all :P But you'll just have to see who's next~
@junchan: Nah take your time bud~ I know you're busy and reading's just for fun anyways~ Lol ya the school life, I don't really have any idea how it actually happened so I just had to make it up XD LOL would your friends wake up at that? I didn't realize it before, but Rapappa really respects Yuko a lot, adding -san after her and Sado's name. Nuuuuu Jurina can't be in her family because she's not alone get it? :P And Minami...I hinted at that already XD Yuko was sad about something right? When she went to the docks to clear her head and kill her boredom...so ya, there ya go.
@Ruka Kikuchi: Hmm perhaps~ We'll never know :)

Part 9: Solitude

A year later, when Yuko was at her highest, Majijo at its strongest, she suddenly collapsed. It wasn’t uncommon, but it was the first time she let it happen in front of others. And luckily or unluckily, it was only in front of Rappapa. It about stopped the hearts of the Four Heavenly Queens. Especially Sado, who knew of Yuko’s condition but not of how bad it had really gotten.

Sado had insisted on carrying Yuko to the nearest hospital (which happened to be the one Yuko had stayed in during her childhood, and just when Yuko thought she was free she found herself right back) since Yuko refused to let an ambulance be called. How would it look if the teppen of Majijo was suddenly carried off in an ambulance? Definitely not good for moral, rumors would spread like crazy then other schools would make their move. No, Yuko was not about to let that happen. Being the top meant she led everyone, she set the example, she protected them. She would not let herself fall so easily.

So she kept it hidden, like she always had. She never told anyone about how her condition was (even though Sado kept pestering her about it). And after a day of check-ups, she went back to school like nothing happened. Just standing outside the clubroom’s entrance, Yuko could tell everyone inside had downcast faces. Unlike the usual bickering and rowdy bunch they were, she could hear nothing but silence and she scratched her head.

“I fall over one time and it’s like the end of the world to them...” Yuko muttered under her breath. Then she sighed and let her hand drop. “Well better get in there before they die from depression or something.”

Rappapa heard the footsteps, but the sound didn’t really register in their occupied minds. Normally they would’ve jumped right up and beat whoever dared come up the staircase, but they were anything but normal right now.

“Yahoo!” Yuko hopped inside, “Yahoo yahoo~”

The familiar voice snapped everyone out of their slumps. “Yuko-san!”

“Hey I’m back~” She went straight over to the golden armchair and sat, sinking into the familiar cushions. It seemed like the others still hadn’t gotten over the initial shock of her return though, so she smiled, “What are you all moping around for?! I’m fine aren’t I? C’mon let’s go have some fun~”

And without waiting for a reply, she got back up, dashing out of the room again.

“Let’s kick some ass!!” Her voice fading as she got farther away, her footsteps pounding down the stairs.

Silence once again overtook them in the clubroom for a brief moment, before Sado finally chuckled. “Well, you heard her. Let’s go.”

And they all followed Yuko once more.

---

Sado kicked a girl in the gut, sending her flying onto her back before stumbling around a bit herself. She had no time to rest as another girl’s fist brushed by her face, having dodged in the last second but her own balance thrown off and she ended up bumping into another person behind her. Not to worry though, it was an ally.

“Haha...This is fun~ Just like old times, right Sado?” Yuko tread her hand through her bangs, pushing them up and back out of her face. Then she raised her fists. “I’ll leave my back to you.” She declared.

They stood back to back and faced their own opponents – a group of Yabakune yankees that never knew when to quit.

Sado smirked, “Same here.”

Each letting out a battle cry, they leaped into action. “GAAAAAHHH!!”

Yuko blocked a punch and grabbed the girl’s shoulder, kneeing her in the stomach before tossing her aside quickly to catch another’s leg who was trying to roundhouse kick her. “Nice try.”

She shook her leg trying to wrench from Yuko’s grasp but Yuko just grinned and pulled harder, making the girl involuntarily hop closer where she then got a fist to the face and fell like a sack of potatoes.

“Come on! You can do better than that!” Yuko shouted before cracking her knuckles menacingly and turning to her next set of opponents, who were currently glancing at each other in fear.

Meanwhile, Sado chuckled at Yuko’s behavior. It never ceased to amuse her how Yuko was so energetic and spirited when it came to fighting. But she didn’t look, she never looked back while fighting because she knew Yuko would watch for her.

As she was thinking this, Sado was also punching a girl with one hand and the other gripping her by the collar, but it seemed she was already down for the count so Sado stopped. With her now free arm, she grabbed another yankee who was stupid enough to charge her head on and tossed the two together, watching as they tumbled one atop the other. Sado smirked, “Thought you could sneak up on me?”

One girl who seemed to be smaller than the others quietly snuck around behind Yuko and raised a pipe above her head, planning on ending her with that dirty trick as she was busy fighting two others and wide open. But Sado merely tucked her hands back into her coat pockets and front kicked the assailant right in the hip, the pipe hitting the ground with a clang.

“Like I said, it’s not that easy to get the drop on us.”

The attacking girl hadn’t noticed as she was too focused on her task, but all of her buddies had fallen, giving Sado the chance to catch her breath real quick and see the attack coming from a mile away. Seriously, what kind of yankee was she if she didn’t keep track of her own comrades? And they were all small-fry too. Since she was so weak it would’ve been suicide to attack by herself, and it was.

“Oh you’re already done? Dang and I was hoping for some more entertainment~” Yuko grumbled, running her hand through her bangs again in habit. She was sitting on the stomach of some poor girl that had tried to tackle her earlier, then Yuko had punched her in the throat and leaped on her for another round of punches on the face (just imagine a flying squirrel demon descending upon you, again, that poor girl).

“Maybe next time.” Sado said, and rolled her eyes when Yuko looked away.

“Meh I guess we gotta get home anyways.”

“The queens are probably worried.”

“Isn’t that just you? Ya big worrywart.” Yuko quirked an eyebrow with a sly grin, which Sado just returned with another eye roll.

“If I didn’t worry then you’d be dead already.”

“On the contrary, I think your worrying is slowly killing me.”

“It’s pretty late now.” Sado looked towards the pale blue sky, the sun hadn’t completely set yet so it was still somewhat bright out.

Did she just ignore me? But Yuko just shrugged before getting up and starting the trudge home, arms swinging by her sides and Sado falling into step next to her. They had wandered pretty far from both the docks where their home resided or their school. Yuko had gotten too excited and ran off chasing trouble so of course Sado had to watch over her or else Yuko would do something stupid—correction, something stupid again—Yuko always did something stupid in pursuit of her so-called ‘fun’.

“AAHHH!!”

“Wh-What is it?” Sado stuttered in surprise after the sudden shout. Yuko had stopped walking and had her hands on her head with her eyes clenched shut. Sado immediately grew worried. “Are you oka—”

“I forgot the damn milk!”

“...What.”

“The milk!” Yuko shouted emphatically, like it was obvious or something, though Sado couldn’t tell exactly what was obvious. “We gotta go buy milk! We’re out of it.”

“...You’ve got to be kidding me.”

“No I’m serious.” Yuko blinked innocently. “Why do you think I ran off right after school?”

“...” Sado chose not to comment anymore. If she let Yuko know she was worried then it’d just enforce the idea Yuko had that Sado worried too much. Though in Sado’s opinion, it was Yuko that didn’t worry enough.  She sighed, “I’ll go buy some. You just get home already.”

“Ehhh but I wanna go too~”

Sado pinched the bridge of her nose. Yuko was currently twisting her upper body back and forth, her arms swinging the same manner as she pouted at Sado like a child. “I swear you’re worse than Gekikara...”

“Hehe thanks~”

“That’s not a compliment.”

“It’s not?” Yuko tilted her head.

“Please stop acting like a child, it’s disturbing.” Sado frowned. “And yes, it’s even more disturbing than Gekikara.”

Yuko laughed merrily, happy that Sado was joking along with her a just a little bit. It didn’t happen often so she’d take what she could get. “Alright fine~ I’m just messin’ with you.” Then she patted Sado on the shoulder. “Just hurry and get some milk already. I’m tired so I’m going on ahead. See you back at home~”

And so she waved goodbye as Sado made a run to the store for some milk, though she didn’t know why Yuko suddenly wanted some milk so bad. Yuko was so inexplicable sometimes, but that’s what made her interesting, Sado smiled at the thought.

When Sado was out of sight and hearing distance, Yuko turned around and called out. “Okay you can come out now! No use in hiding I won’t bite or anything~!...I think.”

“So you knew I was here.” A voice spoke from Yuko’s right. A figure leaning against the lamp post that seemed to just materialize out of thin air.

“Wow you must be pretty skinny if you can hide behind that streetlight~” Yuko commented, taking in the girl’s appearance. She was small in stature, donned in a school uniform with a red hoodie over top and a black backpack, lips upturned in a sly grin. She looked awfully familiar too. “So what do you want?”

As much as Yuko wanted to mess around a bit, maybe tease the girl or fight her (either way worked) she didn’t have the time to. Sado would be home soon and would probably have an aneurism if Yuko wasn’t there first. Out of all of Rappapa, Sado was closest and cared about Yuko the most, which she really did appreciate. And it wasn’t that the other queens didn’t care, they did a lot—Yuko knew that, just Sado went overboard in her opinion.

Though seriously, if she didn’t get home Sado would literally pop a blood vessel, probably her aorta to be honest, and Yuko just didn’t want to deal with that.

“Oh nothing~” The hooded girl took slow deliberate steps closer and passed by Yuko. “Just wondering how strong your queens really are. I mean, everyone saw you fight so it’s obvious you’re meant to be the top. I heard all the rumors, everyone’s talking about it, ‘bout how you took the school in one day.” She smiled saccharinely. “But what about the rest of Rappapa? They can’t be weak...can they?” Turning towards Yuko with that last question, her dark eyes seemed to glint eerily.

“Nah~ They’re not weak. I fought each of them myself and it was the best time I ever had.” Yuko reminisced on old times, smiling at each fight. It had brought them together to be a family and Yuko loved fighting for that. “But you’re right, let’s have an all out brawl to find out! Yeah then I get to fight everyone!” She grew more excited by the second, eyes shining. “That’s a great idea~” Yuko slapped the girl on the back just like she did earlier with Sado, and almost made her trip over herself.

“Wh-What?” Was it really that easy? No one ever agreed so easily like that. Especially yankees, they’d always threaten the girl with violence first before they fell into the palm of her hand... Why was this one different?

But then the hand on her back suddenly gripped her shoulder, very hard. It hurt a lot, and she didn’t like pain in the first place, preferring to let others do the dirty work a.k.a. fighting. And Yuko leaned in, bringing her voice down to a deeper, more serious tone. “But don’t think you’ve won. We won’t fall that easily, remember that.” And then she released her, Yuko grinning like it never happened, “Still, I almost forgot so thanks for reminding me...Nezumi.”

Nezumi’s eyes widened. She knows me?

Yuko heard a lot of rumors (because she fought so many people from all kinds of schools, even her own), and one of them happened to be about a certain mouse and a cocky brat wanting to take over Majijo as soon as they entered. Big words coming from a third year in middle school, she hadn’t even entered Majijo yet but Yuko would welcome her when the time came. But Nezumi didn’t know that Yuko knew that.

“And a piece of advice.” Yuko looked at her straight. “Live seriously. Whatever it is that you want, because I don’t know what that is, make sure you’re chasing after it seriously.” She was still grinning, but her eyes had changed – they were strong, intense, and unwavering. “Take a page from your friend’s book. She seems to take everything too seriously.” Yuko chuckled.

But Nezumi scoffed, finding the statement ridiculous but also glad that Yuko brought it up as a sort of escape from the previous situation where she didn’t know how to react. “Could you be talking about that idiot? The one with the cardigan. She’s just my pawn, nothing else.”

“But she doesn’t seem to think so.”

“Because she’s an idiot.” Nezumi had decided long ago that Center was an idiot among idiots for reasoning (since she couldn’t figure out why Center was so...well, Center), and a yankee among yankees, but not in the good way.

Yuko just kept smiling and it was creeping Nezumi out. Usually she was the one that had the creepy smile so this unnerved her. “But I never even mentioned who your friend was, yet you assumed it was her without even asking.”

“...” Nezumi was always alone, always have been always will be. She knew that. She didn’t need stupid things like ‘friends’ since they would inevitably betray her eventually, but not if she betrayed them first. So Nezumi preferred it this way. She had a home in solitude and she had accepted it. Nevertheless, she still felt uncomfortable and started walking away as nonchalantly as possible, she had to get away, because Yuko was like Center – another existence she couldn’t understand, couldn’t beat.

But Yuko didn’t stop there. “And even if you deny it, she thinks of you as her comrade. She believes in you.”

Nezumi froze. That’s why it was perfect, it worked out so well that way...so why did she suddenly freeze up? “I...don’t care.”

Then she did was she does best - she turned tail and ran. Nezumi just walked away. There was no point in arguing anymore because she would never win - she knew that too - not against herself.

A/N: And that's how Majisuka Gakuen 2 got started lol  But if you're interested in reading Center and Nezumi's backstory, I wrote and OS that fits into this timeline. It's called Pick Your Battles (http://forum.jphip.com/index.php?topic=39994.msg1377002#msg1377002)

Love the SadoYuko back-to-back. Paying homage to the drama, eh? x3

And Nezumi is there too~. The little mouse met Yuko, and she was so cute, too. ^_^

So Yuko meets Nezumi too......She seriously knows EVERY character in the show!  :OMG:

Well, that's Yuko-san for you.  :bingo:

And I literally died laughing at the "just imagine a flying squirrel demon descending upon you" :onioncheer:

Do you think Yuko-san was the first person that made Nezumi doubt that Center was just her pawn?  :dunno: :byebye:

Finally! I can comment without missed 2 updates!~

Yuuko???? I know I have to feel sad with her sickness, but she being 'Yuuko' just too hilarious. lol
I can imagining Sado and Yuuko have some 'fun' and thats sounds 'fun' for me XD Too bad I cant do that kind of 'fun' here. lol
Nezumi, stop being a tsundere!-,-

Thanks for the updates, Kei-chan!
Gonna wait for the next!\^o^/

And then the Sado and Yuko pair struck again!

Nezumi though, been waiting for her :3

And I agree about what DarkHeart said about Yuko making Nezumi doubt that Center was merely just a pawn of hers. It'd made sense since Yuko always held so much authority of people.

I bet Yuko rushed out to get that milk to grow taller xD I do the same huehueuehhehe.

Thanks for the update!

Hey sorry for the late update! Been busy with school and applying to college and making an art portfolio and just so much work ugh :banghead:

@Genkikid: Indeed the mouse is~ Lol Yuko dominates all! XD
@Ruka Kikuchi: That fight scene is in their past technically :P Well and I just love them fighting together XD Actually that line in Chapter 8 about 'fighting to discover something precious' that was a quote from the drama too~ Nezumi is cute, when she's not being a conniving little brat
@DarkHeart: LOL yes she does XD Haha did that line hit you in the tickles? LOL well I randomly thought that the chapters were getting kinda too serious so ya squirrel demon  Hmm I think Yuko was probably the first to say it out loud. I think Nezumi probably knows it, but refuses to acknowledge it so it hits her pretty hard when Yuko says it straight to her face and she's forced to. That's kinda how I wrote an OS, with Nezumi using Center but in the end kinda realizes that Center is important to her.
@junchan: Yuko's not sad so you don't need to be either! LOL XD Well you could try but I wouldn't recommend punching people, that may piss them off and they'll kill you  Nezumi and Mayu are tsundere through and through XD
@rindg: So you figured she'd show up? It's kinda a given if Center's there then Nezumi is too XD Yuko's a pretty straightforward person, unlike Nezumi, and understanding too so Yuko would probably notice then confront Nezumi like that. At least that's how I see it :P LOL MAYBE XD

Part 10: Rappapa

The next day, Yuko did exactly as she said she would. She started an all out battle royale between all the students of Majisuka Gakuen. No rules, just fight until one was left standing. They all thought it was a good idea - that it would give them the chance of getting into Rappapa. All they had to do was take out one of the queens and their entry into the club would be assured (they wouldn’t challenge Yuko though, they didn’t have a death wish). But Yuko would have none of that.

“Hey~! Cowards!! I wanna fight too!!!” Yuko shouted, sprinting full speed down the hallways littered with trash and graffiti (and currently with bodies too but she was careful not to trip and faceplant, that just wouldn’t do).

“Yuko-san!” Sado still called Yuko that during school, as a sign of respect she said, so Yuko had nothing else to retort to that. She and the other queens caught up to Yuko quickly, which was impressive due to the squirrel running rampant among the school. “Just leave it to us. You should go wait in the clubroom.”

Yuko scoffed, “Are you kidding me? And let you guys have all the fun? No way!”

But they all stood their ground.

“Yuko-san, we can handle them. It’d just be a waste of time anyways since they’re not even a match for me.” Shibuya stated, as cocky as usual and tugged on her pink leather gloves. “I can wipe the floor with them all by myself.”

Black nodded in silent agreement.

Sado smirked, swinging her kendama’s ball in a circular arc.

“Well...I’m not really much of a fighter but I’ll try~” Torigoya shrugged and tucked her feather that she usually played with safely in her pocket.

“Hehe~” Gekikara giggled. “Let’s have some fun~ Nee?”

Looking at each of them in turn, they all mimicked the same expression as Shibuya, serious and playful (except for maybe Black who was always just serious). They all seemed to be thinking the same exact thing even though each of them were all so different in personality. They were all confident in their fighting skills and despite not saying it the way Shibuya would, they were all looking forward to going all out. Seeing this, Yuko couldn’t help but stand down, and feel proud of them at the same time.

“Alright then. I’ll be waiting for you guys to come back.” She finally nodded. “And then I’ll take each of you on one by one for the title of President. Prepare yourselves~”

Their shocked faces were priceless, except for Sado who seemed to grin even more. Just leave it to the sadistic Vice to be happy about that. But Yuko grinned and hopped back to Rappapa’s clubroom like she said, sitting in her golden armchair and waited patiently for her queens return.

Not too long later, Sado was the first one to make it back, slightly out of breath and a single bruise decorating her cheek.

“Oooh looks like somebody got you good Sado~”

Sado dropped in her own seat next to Yuko’s. “Shut up.”

“So, how are the others doing? I don’t hear much fighting anymore.” Being confined in the room and only able to hear the ruckus but unable to join in made Yuko almost twitch. She was itching to fight, but she understood where her queens were coming from.

“I have no idea. We didn’t fight together.” Each of them separated as soon as Yuko left, following their own paths, searching for their own prey and relying on their own strengths. They fought together all the time, but this once, they all wanted to go out on their own and test themselves without any help – just like the yankees they were. Yuko had taught them well.

“Oh...They’ll be back soon I guess~ No point in looking for them.”

As soon as Yuko finished saying that, the door slammed open and Shibuya stepped in, hands tucked in her jacket pockets and Black followed, immediately settling on the long bench off to the side and opening her book.

“How’d it go?”

“Piece of cake.” Shibuya smirked.

Black rubbed her rosary between her fingers. “They won’t see a new tomorrow.”

Yuko nodded in approval, then took a peek at the doorway. “But where’s Torigoya?” She was a bit curious where the other two were, and Yuko would ask about Gekikara, but the latter was almost definitely still beating someone up. She hadn’t heard any creeping laughing in a while though...

“Calm down with all the questions Yuko-san. I’m sure they’re fine.” Sado tried to reassure her, but it drew someone else’s attention.

“Oi.” Shibuya called. “What’s that on your cheek, Sado~?”

“Shut up, Shibuya.” Sado didn’t want to hear her mocking tone but the latter just smirked and sat down by Black, inspecting her nails for any chips in the polish.

“It’s just funny, ‘cause none of them were able to land a single hit on me.” Shibuya emphasized the last part, smirking a bit.

“You little—”

“Tadaima...” Torigoya then wandered in slowly. Unlike the others who were either unscathed or had a few bruises, Torigoya was covered in them. Blood ran down the corner of her mouth and she had a few nasty bruises on her jaw, which Yuko then immediately went over to check.

“You okay?” Yuko touched her face, concerned about the weakest member of her family.

“I’m okay, Yuko–san...” Torigoya just sat down as well, a little dejected-looking and pouted. “I only managed to defeat a couple though...”

“At least she got a couple, a few scrapes are nothing to worry about.”

“...Huh?”

“Shibuya?”

All heads turned towards the owner of the voice. No one expected Shibuya to say something like that, if anything, they expected her to reprimand the weak Torigoya for it. They weren’t quite sure where she was going with that statement...

“You’re not going to yell at her?” Sado asked. She felt the most incredulous at the moment.

Shibuya shrugged, “Why would I? She’s one of us, isn’t she? Torigoya would never drag down Rappapa’s name. Right?”

The last part was posed at Torigoya who nodded fervently.

“There ya go.” And she turned back to examining her nails with a bored face.

Perhaps, in the end, even though they were all so different and didn’t care about each other at first, eventually they did become a real family. They were yankees, they stuck together, they were Rappapa.

Silence filled the room for a few moments, the only sound being the ticking of the wall clock as each second passed. They were all relaxed and taking a break, not expecting what was about to come next.

“Well,” Yuko spoke up seeing as the others had nothing to say, “Shall we proceed then?”

She ran a hand through her bangs, eyes focused, the air suddenly became heavy and stifling. They all stiffened.

“Wait a minute Yuko-san...” Torigoya started panicking and hoping to shrink into her chair. The last thing she wanted to do was get into another fight. Black was pretending to be reading but in reality was tensed up and waiting for someone to make the first move. She really didn’t want to fight Yuko though, and the same seemed to go for the oddly quiet Shibuya. Neither of them spoke up but Torigoya on the other hand, was honestly scared. “You don’t really mean that...”

“Who wants to go first?”

Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

“HAHAHAHA I’m just kidding!” Yuko burst out laughing and the atmosphere changed in a millisecond. “You really thought I would fight you guys? Nah~ Don’t feel like it.”

Sado sighed and shook her head with a chuckle. “I knew you weren’t serious.”

Yuko feigned surprise and gasped dramatically, a hand over her heart. “Sado...you knew?”

“...” Nothing but a deadpan expression.

“Then why didn’t you say anything?! You could’ve been my accomplice!” Yuko grabbed her by the shoulders and tried to shake her but it was a little hard with the height difference. She used to do that to a certain someone a lot, since that someone was even shorter than Yuko herself and made it easy. But now, well...she doesn’t have the chance to anymore.

“The hell should I help you in your freaking plans?” Sado pushed Yuko off effortlessly and she fell back into her seat with an oomph.

“Tch, damn sadist~” Yuko grumbled and ran her fingers through her bangs again before leaning back comfortably. “So, how was everyone’s day~?” She asked, suddenly starting a new topic. It was hard to keep up with her.

“Haven’t you been with us all day?” Shibuya retorted.

“Yeah but I thought I’d ask since none of you ever talk.” Yuko shrugged.

“We do talk~”

“If you say so, Torigoya.”

“We’re all too different to have anything in common, so you can’t really expect us to be ‘best friends’ or anything.”

“You’re such a buzzkill~”

“What did you say.” Sado glared at Yuko.

“You heard me.”

“...”

“...”

“...”

“Ah...” Yuko scratched her head, “Well whatever~ Alright so what do we have in common?” She wondered.

“We all like to fight.”

“That’s true.” She nodded at Shibuya’s answer, though Shibuya didn’t seem too interested in the conversation.

“Fear and pain flies away to the skies, bringing death upon all.”

“I think another thing is that Black talks in riddles and no one understands what the hell she’s getting at.” Shibuya added.

“She was agreeing with you.” Translated Yuko, earning a look from both Shibuya and Sado that said ‘how the hell did you get that’.

“What’s for dinner?” Torigoya absentmindedly remarked, playing with her little feather. She never seemed to get tired of that thing.

“I don’t know.”

“I don’t think there’s any food at home.”

“Black! Buy some food after school.”

“Don’t make her do that all by herself.”

“Why not? She’s always been the one that goes and gets stuff.”

Sado rolled her eyes, “That doesn’t make it okay.”

“Fine~ We can all go with her.” Yuko relented. “There’s a lot to buy anyways so then you can carry the bags.”

“We should go out for ramen instead.”

“No!” They all shot Shibuya’s idea down.

She scoffed, “Why don’t I ever get to pick where we eat?”

“Because you’re taste deaf.”

“Ha? What did you say?” She glared at Sado. “Say it again.”

“The last time we went to that ramen place you recommended, the soup tasted like rotten water and none of us could take more than one bite.”

“I ate mine.”

“That doesn’t count.”

“Yeah? You wanna go?” Shibuya got up and so did Sado, the two locking gazes inches away from each other.

“I would kick your ass all the way to China.”

“I’d like to see you try.” Shibuya taunted, “I don’t even get why you’re the Vice Prez of Rappapa, you’re so weak.”

Someone laughing caught their attention and they both looked at the source, breaking their stares for a second. And it was none other than Yuko, laughing her ass off for no apparent reason.

“This is great! Fight fight fight! I wanna see who comes out on top!”

“Yuko-san?”

“You’re unsatisfied right? Why Sado’s got a higher position than you.” She directed at Shibuya. “Then challenge her for it! If you win then you can be the Vice~ And if you still want more then I’d be happy to fight you too~”

But Shibuya just smirked and turned back, realizing what Yuko just suggested and tugged on her gloves for the second time that day. “Nah. I think I’ll be good with Vice.”

“Oh?” Sado raised an eyebrow. “Not confident enough to aim higher? Well it doesn’t matter anyway, I’ll put you back in your place.”

“You know full well why I won’t fight Yuko, but if you wanna go there then I could ask you the same.” Shibuya collided foreheads with Sado. “I told you before that I would kick your ass anytime.”

Sado smirked as well, and reached back, slamming the kendama in her hand upright on the shelf. “Then let’s get started.”

Meanwhile, Torigoya leaned over to whisper in Black’s ear. “Should we stop them?”

“The full moon only reveals itself once a month, illuminating the darkness before retreating once again.”

Then Torigoya leaned back and nodded. “So we should just treat it as entertainment until they’re done. Okay~”

Sado and Shibuya went into the room next door that was connected to the clubroom, the rest of Rappapa following to watch. A brass French horn sat on a stand, shined upon by a spotlight on one side and shelves lining the other three. A piece of the floor seemed to cut out of the middle and replaced with a large white tile decorated with Majijo’s signature graffiti. All in all, there was a lot of space and perfect to hold taimans like this one.

“Come at me whenever you’re ready~” Sado teased. They circled each other, treading lightly and testing the waters.

“Just shut up already, Sado.”

She chuckled, “Rude as ever aren’t you. Why don’t we make a bet? Loser has to be the underling of the winner.”

“Sounds great to me. If I win then you’re gonna kiss my sneakers.”

“And if I win then you have to call me ‘Sado-san’ and listen to whatever I say as Vice President.”

“It’s on.”

Shibuya, being the hotheaded one, threw the first punch which Sado dodged with ease, replying with her own hit to Shibuya’s side that pushed the latter away with the momentum, the two of them once again keeping their distance.

“Didn’t even hurt.” Shibuya smirked.

But they didn’t stop for long. Sado aimed a roundhouse kick at Shibuya’s head, which she then blocked and tried to land a punch instead but was also dodged. Quickly sprinting closer, Shibuya landed a front kick on Sado’s thigh and she grunted, limping a little as Shibuya put her fists back up.

“Done already?”

“Just shut up and fight me.”

Shibuya clicked her tongue and jumped back in, but she had grown cocky after landing the first few hits. Big mistake.

Sado caught her next kick between her right arm and side, locking it in place. No matter how she pulled or shook, Sado wouldn’t let go so she had to punch her off.

But at that moment, Sado swung Shibuya’s leg to the side with as much force as she could and the punch was thrown off last minute, Shibuya’s back exposed at the same time. Sado took advantage of Shibuya’s lack of balance and delivered a punch to her jaw with a sickening thwack.

“Ugh...” Shibuya, having already been falling at the time due to her leg being thrown out from under her, dropped straight to the floor heavily and blinked, trying to clear the black spots from her eyes and a little dazed.

Sado got on top and lifted her by the collar, a trail of blood trickling from the corner of Shibuya’s mouth. “Don’t take me lightly.”

She punched her in the face again and Shibuya fell back, her head hitting the ground for the second time and the dull thud resounding throughout the room. But she was still glaring at Sado and Sado didn’t like that.

*THWACK*

She punched Shibuya again, and again, each hit knocking her face to the side and more blood being coughed up out of her mouth but she kept turning it back defiantly. Right when Sado was about to finish it, Shibuya suddenly grabbed her arm, her other hand gripping Sado’s uniform and roughly rolled her off to the side. Before Sado could even attempt to get up, a body landed on top of her stomach and their positions were reversed.

“You were saying?” Shibuya chose to pound her stomach first and Sado groaned, tasting blood. Then Shibuya started landing blows on her face.

*THWACK*

In reflex, Sado grabbed Shibuya’s sleeves and restricted her movements, making it hard to punch effectively.

“Damn it let go!”

As Shibuya struggled to free her arms, Sado used her newfound handholds to pull herself up quickly, effectively dragging Shibuya down at the same time. Both heads collided with a dull thud and a stunned Shibuya fell to her side, though Sado wasn’t faring much better as she laid there on her back trying to catch her breath. Headbutts dealt a lot of damage to both parties.

Though unfortunately for Shibuya, Sado recovered a bit faster. She dragged herself to her feet, staggering a bit and wiping the blood off her cheek as it had been ripped open from one of Shibuya’s punches earlier.

“Hey...get up...” Sado took unsteady steps toward the fallen Shibuya, bent over from the throbbing pain in her stomach. “I said...” She swallowed thickly. “Get up.”

Shibuya wasn’t knocked out, but she wasn’t moving much either. Just lying on her side and panting heavily, a cough every once in a while. Mustering her strength, Sado lifted a leg and kicked Shibuya, making her roll onto her back, eyes closed and still breathing unevenly.

Sado squatted down and lifted her by the collar again. “Are you done already?”

“...”

*THWACK*

Sado punched her on the cheek, whipping Shibuya’s head to the side. “Hey...I asked you a question.”

“...”

Her sadistic side was starting to show itself. She wanted Shibuya to know who was the stronger one, who was dominant. And that last punch was the deciding blow.

Letting Shibuya slide back to the floor slowly, Sado stood, though still a bit unsteady, and flashed Yuko a victory sign, her smile a bit bloody. It was ridiculous of her to do something like that, but perhaps Yuko had rubbed off on her even more than she thought.

Yuko, who had been leaning against the wall watching the entire thing, grinned and came over. She wrapped Sado’s arm around her own shoulder for support, Black doing the same for Shibuya. “C’mon, let’s go to the infirmary.”

On the way there, the five of them came across a disturbing yet familiar scene. There were three bodies lying on the ground, strewn across the hallway, half unconscious and as bloody as you could get. Rappapa exchanged knowing glances, there was no doubt who caused this.

“Gekikara!” Yuko shouted as they rounded the corner. The edge of a dark green jacket and skirt were just visible at the staircase halfway down the hallway.

“Hahaha...” Gekikara stepped out into view. Her hand was by her mouth, biting her nails as she grinned innocently yet maniacally. Both of her arms were covered entirely in dried blood some of it splattered on her face and clothes. “Nee...Okotteru~?”

“...”

“Hahaha...HAHAHAHAHAHA~”

“...Hey Black.”

“Yes, Yuko-san.”

“Mind taking care of her for me? My hands are a bit full with this baby.”

With her free hand, Sado pinched her on the side and Yuko yelped.

Black nodded, leaving Shibuya to Torigoya’s care (who struggled with the weight) and walked up slowly to Gekikara, careful not to alarm her.

“Nee...” Gekikara got a little excited seeing someone else to play with. “Nee~ Nee~!” She insisted, bouncing in impatience. But before she could kick off and launch herself at Black, the latter used her inhuman speed to reach her first. Black cupped Gekikara’s face with her hands, forcing Gekikara to look her in the eyes.

“Look at me.”

Gekikara froze.

“I’m not mad...Okay?”

“...”

“...”

“...You’re never mad.” Gekikara pouted a little, looking down. That’s when Black released her cheeks and turned around to nod at Yuko, letting her know that Gekikara was okay now. Yuko nodded back.

Black was the perfect person to take care of Gekikara. She never fought her, never irritated her, and her speed could even rival her because it allowed Black to get close before Gekikara even had the chance to strike. And most important of all, Black never got mad. Even Yuko had gotten angry at Gekikara once, when she almost sent some girls to intensive care, but she had calmed herself down, taking deep breaths while Black took care of Gekikara. When Gekikara saw someone scared or mad at her, it got her blood pumping and she loved violence ( which was a terrible combo), but Black always managed to calm her down. She was almost like a constant that reassured the violent and unpredictable Gekikara.

As Yuko walked by, still supporting part of Sado’s weight, she noticed the last figure sprawled on the stairs. She wore a leather jacket just like the other three but completely dyed in red and looked to be the worst out of all of them. Black checked and it seemed she would be okay, no fatal injuries even with all that blood, but it surprised all of them when she started moving. They were sure the girl was unconscious so it was a shock when she suddenly shifted and said, “I’m not done yet...”

“Is she awake?”

“I...I’m serious...” She coughed then muttered, “I’m not done for...not yet...” From their perspective, the girl looked pretty done. Her jacket may have been black but it was shining a dark red and it looked like she had a nosebleed that bled half the blood out of her body plus one of her eyes was almost swollen completely shut.

However, hearing those words, Yuko smirked a little. Leaning over, she tapped the girl’s face with her hand in a light slap, and a few moments later she began stirring.

“Nngh...”

“What is your name?”

“...Ani...me...” Her eyes were still unfocused (or eye) and her head lolled back and forth, unable to keep it up.

“Well then, how ‘bout you join Rappapa?”

“...” There was no response for a few seconds, but then she seemed to realize what Yuko just said and finally focused on her. “!?”

Yuko’s smirk grew wider into a grin. “We need some guards for the clubroom. Too many people keep trying to sneak in and I want your team to take care of them, so how about it? Want to join us?”

“H-Hai!”

So Yuko stood back up, “Black and Geki, help these guys to the infirmary.”

“Thank you, Yuko-senpai.” Anime tried to prop herself up but almost fell back again when Black grabbed her arm, lending her strength to pull the girl up.

“Just Yuko is good enough.”

“O-Okay...Yuko-san.”

---

Back in the clubroom, Yuko and Sado were alone and sat in silence. The other members of Rappapa, the queens and including the new members, were all still getting patched up in the infirmary. The leather jacket wearers had sustained far worse injuries than Shibuya or Sado, so it took them a while, not to mention the lines of other yankees waiting for treatment. Yuko really didn’t think of the consequences of an all school battle royale.

The aftermath was crazy, the amount of bodies that needed to be taken for treatment, and the lack of personnel to take them there or to treat them. So Yuko ordered Shibuya, Black, Gekikara, and Torigoya to help. Their jobs were to find the injured and carry them back to the infirmary, and since Yuko gave the order, they wouldn’t refuse.

There were a few that were worried Gekikara would go crazy beating people again, but Yuko knew she wouldn’t do that.

“Geki’ll be fine~” She brushed it off. “Right, Geki? No more violence today.”

Gekikara nodded in understanding with that grin still plastered on her face. “Okay~”

Even if she didn’t look it, Gekikara meant what she said and would never disobey Yuko. The other queens vouched for her as well, and Black volunteered to look after her just to be safe. Just the fact that Black spoke up on her own accord was enough to shock Anime and them into withdrawing their protests. No one argued with Black.

So now Yuko was back in Rappapa’s room, sitting in her usual throne while Sado stood by the window, playing with her black and silver kendama.

Tick.

Tick.

Tick.

Yuko was the first to break the silence.

“Sado...” She suddenly grew so serious. Her expression was dark, and it seemed her thoughts were as well. “You’re the Vice President. No one can take that from you now.”

“Yuko-san...” Sado faced Yuko, the ball of her kendama missing the pole and falling limply to her side. She knew Yuko had something to talk about with her, that’s why she didn’t tell Sado to help the others. And she knew it had to be something serious for the two of them to talk in private like this.

“Hey don’t look at me like that.” Yuko scolded when she turned to look at her, Sado was looking at her like it was the end of the world. “I hate when you’re weak-minded. Make your decisions, and follow through with them. Don’t hesitate, Sado.”

“But—”

“If for some reason,” Yuko cut her off quickly, but then sighed. “If for some reason...I’m not around...you’ll be in charge. I’m counting on you.”

Sado could only bite her lip and nod, holding her tears in because she didn’t want Yuko to see her cry. Sado would be strong until the end, when the time to cry finally comes.

But until then...

“Until then, I’m still going to follow you, Yuko-san. You’re the President of Rappapa and that won’t ever change, not to us. So don’t go shirking your duty already.”

Yuko chuckled, “Of course not. I still plan on having tons of fun while I’m here, so you better be ready for it~”

And she got another nod, more definite this time and Yuko smiled for so many reasons. She was happy, grateful, and most of all she loved her family so why shouldn’t she smile? She always smiled before because perhaps if she pretended to be happy, then it might come true. Yuko could at least fool herself into thinking so. But now she didn’t have to pretend anymore and that’s why she smiled.

And she’d keep smiling, right until the bitter end.

Poor Yuko-san. Sado and the Queens never let her fight.  :depressed: :bigdeal:

And I loved Rappapa's dymanic in this chapter! Like Shibuya comforting Torigoya (in her own Shibuya way), Black calming Gekikara down and Yuko-san explaining to Sado how important she really is.  :on lol: :farofflook:

Also:

"I hate when you’re weak-minded."
"And she’d keep smiling, right until the bitter end."

My heart literally broke when I read them.  :gyaaah: :pleeease: :fainted: :imdead:

Thanks for this great chapter!  :byebye:

I'm back...Sorry for taking so long :( I'm not sure if anyone's still reading this but I made a promise to never abandon a fic so I'll see it through :) It's funny though, it's been so long since I wrote the chapter that reading through it made me feel more like the reader than the author lol XD

@yocelin17: Aw thanks~ I like the pairing so I added them in, can't have a fic without pairings lol :P
@DarkHeart: Yeah poor Yuko, no one lets her do anything fun  Ah thanks for that, I tried to bring out their characters as much as I could you know? And the 'weak-minded' part was a quote from the drama, I think Minami may have said it? But well I actually stuffed some quotes in various parts if yeh can find them~
@Ruka Kikuchi: Haha thanks~ I try XD
@Genkikid: Yes. It's all flashbacks when Minami shows up, just Yuko's memories.

Part 11: Seriousness

More months passed by, and just like that they were third years. Yuko’s condition also worsened over time. She didn’t collapse so much as simply be completely exhausted every day. Sometimes her vision would swim and she couldn’t get out of her armchair, but it’d disappear after a few minutes. All of Rappapa worried about her, even the new members who claimed to be her underlings, but Yuko just kept brushing it off. Most of the time she could still fight and put up a front that she wasn’t tired in the least bit, but they could see it in her eyes.

None of them chose to say anything though. They couldn’t, they didn’t want to. Saying it out loud meant acknowledging it. They didn’t want to believe that Yuko may leave.

But the day came inevitably. They were hanging out at their home just after school when Sado got into an argument with Yuko about not taking care of herself.

“You need to go to the hospital!”

“I’m fine!” Even Yuko was getting angry and exasperated, her head throbbing in pain. Having such toll on her body had worn her patience thin as well, and trying to joke her way out of it wouldn’t work anymore.

“No you’re not! Yuko-san! Just listen for once!” Both of them were standing and shouting at each other’s faces.

“I don’t need—”

“YOU’RE DYING!!”

Yuko stopped, she just stopped, and looked away. “...”

Sado suddenly realized what she said. It was a taboo that none of them ever addressed before. None of them wanted to address it.

Yuko sighed heavily, “Well the air in here just got bad.”

“I-I’m sorry Yuko-sa—”

“Stop!” Shouted Yuko all of a sudden. Her fists were clenched and she was visibly angry. “Don’t. Don’t call me that.”

Sado nodded, a little scared, a little sad. The others remained quiet as well, they didn’t know what to say, what to do, what they even could do. Even Gekikara stopped biting her nails and just sat there, not making a sound.

.

.

.

“If you all want me gone that bad...then I’ll leave.”

“What!? No!”

“That is not what we want.”

“Yuko-san!”

“You can’t just LEAVE!!”

“NOOOOOOOO!!!” Gekikara screamed, getting up from her seat and tackled Yuko in a bear hug, clinging to her waist like a child. “NOOOOOOOOOOOO DON’T GO!!”

Gekikara may have been the same age as all of them, but mentally she wasn’t much older than a kid - a kid who was about to lose part of her family. Yuko took her in, always took care of her as far as Gekikara knew, and she was far too important to Gekikara to lose.

Yuko patted Gekikara’s back, feeling very sorry all of a sudden. She didn’t think it would affect her that much. She didn’t really mean it either, she was just tired, so very tired. “I’m sorry Geki~ I didn’t mean it okay? I’m not going anywhere.”

Gekikara just hugged Yuko tightly, letting her pat her back as her face was buried in Yuko’s shoulder.

“Yuko-san...” Torigoya spoke up. “We don’t want you to go to the hospital...but you look like you’ve been suffering lately...”

“But spending all your time in there? That’s such a waste. There’s plenty of opponents left to fight.” Shibuya countered.

“Sakura blossoms do not stay in bloom forever.”

“Yuko is not done for!” Sado yelled, fists tight. “She is not. That’s not what I meant...”

“Relax Sado~” Yuko spoke up, she wanted to pat Sado on the back too but she might not like that, so she settled with just talking about it. She could do that much. “Look, I know you’re worried alright? I appreciate it, and maybe you’re right. I probably need some treatment as much as I hate being cooped up.”

Torigoya flinched as her choice of words.

“Sorry~” Yuko apologized sheepishly. “But anyways, I guess I’ll go get some drugs to get me going~” She joked.

“Wait, you can’t be serious? You’re actually going to register yourself in the hospital?!” Shibuya wouldn’t have it. How could Yuko, of all people, consider that? She was going to leave Majijo—leave them. Why now?

“No worries~ I’ll back before you know it. The treatment will probably take a while though...” Yuko mentally calculated it, though the others (besides Sado) didn’t know that she spoke from experience. “I’ll probably be in the resident wing, but I promise, I’ll be back for graduation.”

“Yuko...”

“There there Geki~ I’m fine, nothing to worry about~” Yuko sat down in her recliner, pulling Gekikara with her onto her lap. It had been a while since she cradled her like a baby, and Gekikara missed it, snuggling comfortably in her embrace. “I’m just going to take a little break, then I’ll be back better than ever!”

“Un!” Gekikara nodded and smiled, completely believing Yuko’s words.

“So until then, Sado’s going to be in charge and you guys better make me proud.” Yuko looked each of them over, meeting their eyes and they gazed back seriously. She grinned. Yeah, these guys will be just fine without me.

---

A few days later, the time came when Yuko decided to check herself into the hospital. It was weird, she’d have to go in by herself and just go ‘I think I need medication’. Almost like checking herself into the crazy house or something, Yuko found that amusing.

On that day, they planned on going all out, breaking into other school’s territories and busting heads. One last go before Yuko left them.

“Might as well give myself some extra injuries to heal! I’m going to a hospital anyways!” Yuko said entirely too cheerfully.

And though the others didn’t really follow that kind of logic but it was Yuko, what are you going to do? So they pretty much took down the entire student body of Yabakune when they stormed in there, kicking and punching left and right. They didn’t come out unscathed, Yabakune had a nasty habit of playing dirty by ganging up on opponents and using weapons, but Yuko was quite content to say that her team had utterly destroyed the school in return. Then they ran (to their next target) because who wants to pay the hospital bills for hundreds of people? It’s expensive you know.

They also ran into some students from Gekioko and Yagi, also picking a fight with them. Usually, they wouldn’t go so out of the way to pick fights, but they were letting go today. Yuko challenged pretty much every single person she met to a taiman, though the others kept taking her ‘fun’ instead because they wouldn’t let Yuko fight every single person and fought one on one in her place for some cases (Yuko still fought everyone she saw because she’d run ahead of them with her squirrel speed and get started first, she even somehow lost Black with that uncanny ability).

Yuko was insatiable, she got a lifetime’s worth of fights in, but really she was just ridiculous. And they all loved her for it.

When it came time to say goodbye, Yuko hugged each of them (or tried to). Sado just put her hand on Yuko’s head and kept her at an arm’s length distance as the latter kept trying to reach her with her short arms. Yuko pouted at Sado’s ‘damn sadist nature’ and said it was ‘unfair’ but Sado just told her to deal with it and smirked.

Torigoya awkwardly hugged Yuko, a little cautious but for good reason because then Yuko groped her boobs. Therefore, now she had a nice red-flushed handprint on her cheek for the nurses to treat as well.

Shibuya opted for a fist bump (she didn’t meet Yuko’s gaze though, being too shy to), and was too prideful to actually hug someone so Yuko slapped her shoulder, accepting it with a grin (because she could’ve sworn Shibuya was blushing just a bit). And it was better than nothing which is what she got from the ‘damn sadist’.

Black was even better. She shook Yuko’s hand. Unfortunately for her, Yuko shook her hand really vigorously and almost tore her arm off, which Black then frowned at while Yuko laughed. But Yuko could feel that Black’s hands were clammy from nervousness or fear and tried to smile to reassure her, Black nodding at the kind gesture. Though she didn’t say it, she would miss Yuko.

Last was Gekikara and she actually hugged Yuko. She was definitely a hugger. And she would’t let go either. After a good five minutes, Black had to lift the girl by the waist and practically pry her off of Yuko, Gekikara’s hands still clinging to Yuko’s clothes as she was suspended horizontally in midair. Even the others had to help, Shibuya helped Black pull and Torigoya wasn’t much help in trying to get Gekikara to release her death grip. Sado just stood and watched in amusement. Again, ‘damn sadist’.

Yuko also didn’t help, just laughed as her family fussed around her, hands on her hips and feeling happier than she ever had in her entire life. She felt so much warmth from them, so many fun times they had. They really were her real family even if not blood-related, and that didn’t matter anyways. Yuko once heard from her friend (the one that worked at the hospital) that her parents had passed away. She didn’t know how to feel about it, but as long as she had her current family—her real family, then she’d be fine. She didn’t need anything else.

When they finally got Gekikara off (she was like an octopus stuck to Yuko) but when they finally did then it was time for Yuko to go.

“Oh wait! I almost forgot, Black did you get what I asked?”

Even years later, Yuko still had Black run errands for her, not that the latter minded really. If it were any of the others then they might have - no one liked being an errand girl even if Yuko put it as being ‘in charge of procurement’ which was just a fancy way of saying it, but again, Black was glad to and she nodded in reply.

“Good~ Can you pass it out then?” Yuko requested, sounding like a teacher asking a student to pass out papers to the class. Black got up as told and gave each person something about the size of their palms and they all turned it over in their hands to look at.

“A music note?” It was a black-edged quaver that reflected silver in color and Torigoya couldn’t help but question its purpose.

“It’s a symbol of Rappapa.” Yuko explained. “Pin it to your uniforms.”

They all did as said.

“Looks good~” Yuko smiled and shot a thumbs up in approval, her own shining proudly by the chain on her hip. “I even had Black get it silver and black in color so you wouldn’t freak out about it ‘not matching your outfit’ Sado~”

“Quit bringing that up! I only said it once!” Sado growled. “One time!”

“Sure thing, but I still don’t get why you had to get a kendama that matched your coat, I mean, you’re not even wearing it on you! It’s a toy!”

“Just leave me alone.” She muttered.

Yuko chuckled, “Well I guess I’ll see you guys later then~”

Then she waved and went on her way, not wanting to linger too long or else Sado would start bawling, and walked that familiar track back to her original residence. She was a little sad, but she didn’t want to dwell on it. Yuko always kept moving forward. And though she was sad, she had absolutely no regrets.

---

Sado came to visit a lot, always bringing news of what was going on over on her side. Yuko was grateful for it. The first time Sado came over, Yuko had been sitting in a chair facing the window, one leg propped up comfortably and staring at some random birds chirping outside and wishing she was there too. It was the same place she always used to sit in, back when she was confined here, and back when she used to share her thoughts with Minami.

There wasn’t much to say about Majijo, but Sado reported it anyways just like the responsible Vice Prez she was. Ever since she had that taiman with Shibuya, the latter had, somewhat surprisingly, actually started to respect Sado. She might’ve been a little scared of the sadistic queen, but some say that fear and admiration were two sides of the same coin.

Rappapa was getting along just fine, the occasionally quarrels were nothing out of the ordinary and no one had really made it up the staircase. This was all Sado really had to say the first couple times, sometimes she’d add in an interesting bit about what the other queens were up to, but when Yuko asked what Sado was doing, the sadistic queen would evade the question not really wanting to talk about herself.

For example one day, Sado came into Yuko’s room (because the latter didn’t feel like hanging out in the lounge) and talked about Gekikara. She had been kind of docile lately when Yuko wasn’t around, sort of moping around in her own way (sometimes the other queens visited too but not as much as Sado, and Gekikara was allowed the least because they were ‘afraid she might scare the patients and the doctors might try to examine/send her off to some far away facility’ - these are Yuko’s exact words). But back to what Sado was saying.

Gekikara had taken to following Black around like a lost puppy, it was quite cute really. When Black ran over to the supermarket, she would come along as well. But sometimes Black forgot that she had company and use her speed like usual, leaving Gekikara behind. Then Gekikara would sit on the sidewalk like real lost puppy until Black remembered and came back to find her on the verge of tears. She felt bad about it, so when Gekikara jumped on her and demanded a piggy back ride home, Black could only oblige.

Yuko grinned when she heard this. She had felt the intense stares in her direction whenever she babied Gekikara, that’s why she stopped doing it for a while. But now that she wasn’t there, Gekikara would have to find someone else to snuggle with, someone as cold and stubborn as a rock and would probably find the skinship to be entirely uncomfortable (though Black’s feelings weren’t one-sided, Gekikara just didn’t really understand complex emotions yet, but Yuko did). And Yuko laughed hard at the thought of Black sitting still as a statue as Gekikara wiggled around on her lap and giggling happily (which really wasn’t too far-fetched).

Sado wasn’t sure why Yuko suddenly burst out laughing, quite hysterically to be honest and she thought that maybe Gekikara had rubbed off on her, but she didn’t ask. Sometimes it’s better not to ask. Yuko was always a little crazy.

Not long later, Sado bid Yuko goodbye and promised to drop by again, to which Yuko just replied with a chuckle and a wave. “Don’t come too often! I can only handle seeing your face a few times a week!”

“Shut up!” And Sado left, the door sliding shut automatically.

Then one day, Sado came a bit late. Yuko wasn’t really counting the hours, but when Sado showed up half-past midnight, she knew something was up.

“Sado?”

The tall girl stepped into the room, it was dark, Yuko had been getting ready for bed when she came, but what caught her attention was that Sado had this look on her face. A look like she had been thinking a lot, like she had a problem without a solution.

A new school year had started, Yuko knew that, so what had changed so much to make Sado look like that?

It was a few moments before Sado finally spoke.

“...There’s a new transfer student.”

From then on, Sado’s stories were full of this girl named Maeda, who had stirred up all kinds of trouble at Majijo. Oh well, Majijo had been too peaceful lately in Yuko’s opinion. She was glad someone like that had come along to their school. And Yuko couldn’t wait to meet them, then fight them. Because people like her and Sado were kind of dumb, they could only speak with their fists, and Yuko was just itching to talk with Maeda.

Weeks later, after Sado had just left Yuko with the latest news about Maeda defeating all of Team Hormone by herself, Yuko laid back on her bed sheets and her mind wandered, suddenly remembering that brat she was playing with a while before. She grinned, the brat and Maeda were a lot alike, as well as Yuko herself.

I wonder where she is now. I bet she’s getting ready to do something, now that she’s officially a Majijo student...And that mouse, I hope she knows what she’s doing too.

Yuko even worried about people she didn’t even know. But that’s Yuko for you, she was the top – the teppen of Majijo, and she took care of her students.

She’s probably going to make a move. I guess she figured out that she couldn’t deal with me~ Yuko chuckled. Nah, Majijo’ll be fine still. The queens aren’t lightweights. I should really leave the worrying to Sado~

Yuko was sure they’d be fine without her, she trusted her friends to take care of it in her absence, but she also secretly hoped she would have to make an appearance. Looking out the window and pretending she was still in Rappapa’s clubroom, she thought how her remaining time would be spent. It definitely wouldn’t be a waste if she got to fight Maeda, and if she lost...well she couldn’t stay the top forever.

Maeda... Interesting~ I expect a lot from her.

Maeda had never met Yuko, but Yuko knew her. She had seen a photo, a picture Minami showed her of two girls in school uniforms that consisted of a white shirt and navy blazer, one with a messy ponytail that was flashing a peace sigh and another with long curly black hair and a cute smile.

“This is Atsuko. Maeda Atsuko.”

“Atsuko? A friend of yours?”

“Yeah, my best friend.”

Yuko chuckled, “You sound really happy about that.”

“Why shouldn’t I be? She just promised me today that she’ll study with me to become nurses. We made a promise together, to live seriously.”

Yuko sat up and ran a hand through her bangs. “I want to see it someday...” Her gaze was focused on something ahead, far far ahead, and on something only she seemed to be able to see. “Can you show it to me, Maeda? I want you to show me...how serious you really are.”

And the rest...is history.

A/N: There wasn't much dialogue in this one but there's also a ton in the epilogue, so hopefully that balances out. One more chapter to go! XD It's not over yet~

Awwww.... Gekikara is adorable!  :shy2:  Her interaction with Yuko-san in this chapter reminded me of the 'Majijo from the world above' scene where she told Yuko-san how she has been looking for her but couldn't find her!  :pleeease:   :gyaaah:

And Rappapa escorting Yuko-san to the hospital and then saying goodbye  :farofflook:

And of course Yuko-san, being the awesome leader that she is, worrying about her classmates! Just thinking about it..... :on speedy:

Lastly, let's not forget about the Black/Gekikara interaction! I honestly couldn't stop laughing and , much to my embarrassment, squealing (but don't tell anyone)

Anyway, sorry for rambling but you have no idea how excited I was when I saw you were back with an incredible chapter!  :ptam-glow:

As always the characters interaction and their connection with Yuko-san is my most favourite part!   :imdead:

Once again awesome chapter and great writing!  :cool1:

PS. I'm glad you're back!  :byebye:

OH MY GOD IT'S BEEN LIKE A YEAR. So sorry! *dogeza* Anyways this is the last part if anyone's still interested and I'm so sorry to have left it unposted for so long  :( This epilogue basically connects Majisuka Gakuen season 1 to season 2, at least how I see it.

Epilogue: Home

One by one, they said their goodbyes.

Yuko had done it. She graduated. Just like she said she would. She made it to the ceremony even though she had been unconscious for the entire week before, even though no one believed she could – no one except for her family of course. But then again Yuko never went back on her word.

So she had somehow pulled it off, tying loose ends and passing the baton over to a new teppen. But with this, it was really time to bid their goodbyes.

Gekikara went first, even though she didn’t even know what goodbyes were. The others were all too lifeless to move right away, they just sat on the hard plastic chairs outside her hospital room, heads down and staring at the dull concrete tiles thinking of nothing at all.

Gekikara was the only one that couldn’t just sit there, she had to move. She knew she was sad. Gekikara knew what sadness was, and that this was what she was feeling, but she didn’t like moping around and neither did Yuko. So she went first.

“Hey Geki~ How you feelin’?” The small figure of Yuko, dressed in her Majijo uniform (a sight they hadn’t seen for a while but she hadn’t changed since the graduation ceremony a few hours ago) sitting on her bed with the sheets a mess.

“Sad.”

It pained her. “I’m sorry Geki.”

“Yuko-san...There is no need to be sorry.” Gekikara walked over to the bed, sitting down next to Yuko with her hands in her lap. She didn’t know why, but she felt she should be quiet now.

“Still, I’m sorry anyways.” Yuko sounded sad too, Gekikara didn’t like that.

“...”

“Listen Geki...I’m sorry I don’t have more time to spend with you...but live seriously, alright? There’s no point if you’re not serious.”

“Serious about what?”

I don’t understand...why is she leaving? Why can’t she stay? And teach me more about these things...Yuko-san...

“Take fighting for example, a fight without purpose is meaningless. Whether you win or lose, it has no meaning. Do you understand?”

Gekikara frowned, “I think so.”

Yuko patted her head, feeling that Gekikara had matured a lot lately. She was so glad she got to see her grow up. “Well, I guess that’s all I have to teach you. The rest will be all up to you.”

“But Yuko-san, I don’t think I can do it.” Gekikara frowned, hands folded in her lap because she didn’t know what else to do with them.

“Don’t worry~ Worrying never gets you anywhere. But if you ever find yourself lost...” Yuko suddenly thought of a brilliant idea. “Why don’t you go find this brat I know? Her name’s Jurina. I think you’ll like her~”

“Jurina? Is she not a yankee?”

“Oh no she’s a yankee alright~ One of the most serious ones I’ve ever met. I had a little run-in with her once and she reminded me of you. So if you ever feel lonely, you can go find her.”

“Okay.” Gekikara perked up just a little bit hearing this. If Yuko said so, then Gekikara would do just that.

Yuko smiled, “Just promise me that you’ll keep being just the way you are. Take care of those important to you, and graduate. You can go places Geki, so don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.”

Gekikara had always been given up on, no one expected anything, not until Yuko believed in her. She wasn’t done for, she wasn’t wrong, she wasn’t a monster. Gekikara had more potential than anyone to grow, and Yuko knew that.

“Hai!”

You’ll be okay, Geki. I know it. Yuko wished her the best of luck. Because Gekikara was part of Yuko’s family, and Yuko had faith in her.

---

“Hey~” Yuko initiated a fist bump as soon as Shibuya barged in, then patted the free space next to her. “How you feelin’?”

Shibuya scoffed and plopped down unceremoniously on the bed. “Isn’t that the most ironic thing you could ask?”

“Hehe~ Maybe but I want to hear what you guys think. So tell it to me straight, Shibuya...”

I don’t want this. I don’t want to hear this. I don’t want her to do this—

“I want you to tell me what you’re really feeling right now, as I’m still here talking to you. I won’t get another chance and neither will you.” Sometimes butting heads always was the best way to communicate and Yuko was going to have a serious, up-front talk with Shibuya for once whether she liked it or not.

Shibuya’s jaw muscles tighted as she swallowed thickly. She wanted to cover her ears so bad. But instead she said, “I’m pissed.”

“I figured.”

“I’m pissed that you’re talking like that. I’m pissed that you’re leaving us like this. I’m definitely pissed that I’m actually telling you how I feel right now!”

There was a wide grin on Yuko’s face. “Now that wasn’t so hard was it?”

Shibuya scoffed. Yuko was still messing around even with her complexion paler than the sheets. Shibuya didn’t like it. It was like she was resigned to her fate. Shibuya didn’t like when people gave up, you should never give up—especially not Yuko. Not Yuko. “Shut up, I don’t like you talking to me like a freaking counselor or something.”

“Oh ho so you’re really going to tell me exactly what you’re thinking huh? Interesting~”

And Yuko had a face that said ‘go on’, so Shibuya let it all out. “I really respect you—I always have, Yuko-san. But not just that, I also despised you.” She then let out a deep breath, “You were so strong, so carefree and cheerful and happy. You were what I wanted to be, but I couldn’t. I was weak, I was betrayed and hurt, so I thought I could never beat you even though I tried so many times.”

At some point though, even if it took her a long time, Shibuya did notice something - that perhaps Yuko wasn’t the one she was trying to beat.

“But one day I realized that I was wrong. All of a sudden it was like I figured it out. You weren’t happy, you weren’t cheerful, you weren’t carefree and strong like I thought. You were just like me. But you dealt with your problems and became strong.”

Yuko nodded. She’d been waiting all this time for Shibuya to come to that conclusion, and once she did, well Yuko knew that there was no way Shibuya wouldn’t grow stronger.

“And that’s when happiness came to you.”

“You’re wrong about that last part.”

“Huh?”

“I wasn’t happy—I am not happy now because I’m strong. I’m happy...because you guys are here. You guys actually care about me like no one ever did before, and I’m sure you can understand that feeling.” Yuko was sure she did.

Shibuya nodded slowly, as though admitting it for the first time.

Then Yuko’s smile turned a just a smidge sad when she said, “I’m sorry though, Shibuya.”

“What for?” There was no reason to apologize.

“I broke my promise, even after I finally got you to trust me and for that, I’m really sorry.”

Shibuya shook her head. No, Yuko didn’t have to be sorry. In the end...Shibuya couldn’t very well stay mad when Yuko was looking so sad, now could she? “Don’t be. I’m grateful, and I mean it. You...You’re the only who’s ever trusted me so don’t worry about it. I’m not mad at all.”

Yuko stared at her a while, like she was deciphering Shibuya’s words but the latter didn’t even flinch at the gaze.

“...”

“...”

Then Yuko couldn’t help but let out a laugh when she saw that stubborn and unwavering expression. It had never changed ever since she met the girl, not one bit. Yes, being straightforward suited Shibuya very much.

“I wish I could witness it myself, but why don’t you keep on going? Straight down whatever path you choose and never stop being honest because that’s how you are. And it really does suit you a lot more than keeping it in.” She squeezed Shibuya’s shoulder.

“I...”

“Just be honest, Shibuya.” Yuko added, and on her face was the same soft smile Yuko showed her when she extended her hand to Shibuya that fateful day. “Because when you’re being absolutely honest, it’s hard not to trust you and you can believe me on this one~” She winked.

And at that Shibuya finally cracked a small but true grin. “I understand. Thank you, Yuko-san. For everything.”

---

“Torigoya!” Yuko tried to get up from the bed to tackle her, but almost fell down in the process and clung to the bedframe for support, metal bars screeching for a second under the weight.

“Baka!” Torigoya immediately caught her and helped her back to bed, sitting both of them down. “What are you thinking?! You’re in no condition to be moving around!”

Yuko pouted, “But you know I hate being confined~” And Torigoya almost gave in, almost, but then Yuko continued, “And I haven’t felt your boobs or oshiri in sooooo long! I miss them!”

“Baka! Hentai! Pervert!” With each word, Torigoya pounded on Yuko’s shoulder harder. “Is that all you miss?!”

“Ow ow! Stop!” Yuko tried in vain to block her but Torigoya was surprisingly speedy. And even though Torigoya was the weakest physically out of all of them, girly punches still hurt. “Of course I missed you too!”

Hearing this, Torigoya finally snapped out and blushed, just now realizing that she had asked that. “I-I will miss you too...”

Normally she might not have answered so simply, being the airheaded tsundere she is, but...

Yuko patted her on the head. “You’ll be okay~”

“No I won’t!” Torigoya finally broke at Yuko’s touch. She’d tried so hard, tried to act like normal even when she saw Yuko almost collapse, but now she buried her face in Yuko’s shoulder, arms wrapped tightly around her waist because if any looser Yuko would disappear. “You won’t be around anymore...”

After she finally found her safe haven, it would leave her already.

“Aw come on~ I never did much, you’ll be fine without me.”

“Well...I suppose you’re right about that...” Torigoya sniffled, “All you did was touch my butt.”

“Hey! That’s not all I did!”

She stifled a giggle. Thank you, Yuu-chan. “Yes it is~”

“I touched your boobs too! They are some nice assets~” Yuko nodded in approval, earning another faint blush from Torigoya.

“Pervert squirrel...”

Yuko laughed, Torigoya shaking along with her since they were pressed close. Torigoya smiled. It felt nice. Then Yuko spoke up and asked the same question she did of all of them. “So then, how are you feeling right now?”

“Embarrassed. Exasperated. You’re really a handful.”

“Oi!”

Torigoya giggled again but pulled back to look at her, “Just kidding~”

Yuko sighed, though not without the faint trace of a smile still lingering. “I really will miss you...” This time she wrapped her arms around Torigoya, around the shoulders so Torigoya wouldn’t push her away for being a pervert, and laid back on the bed.

“I know.” Torigoya snuggled next to Yuko where she felt safest (or Yuu-chan which was the nickname she used in private, because Torigoya was never much for respect and the yankee style anyways).

Yuko had always loved skinship, and Sado was too much of a stick to cuddle, so she turned to Torigoya. It was awkward at first, lots of slaps and hands where they shouldn’t be. But Yuko never gave up, and eventually they grew to find the other’s presence comfortable (mainly just Torigoya got used to Yuko) and it became a normal thing.

To be honest, Torigoya was never around people much, and the ones she knew were horrible. She was always locked up and in the dark, literally, but that’s what she finally found in common with Yuko. Torigoya never did like being confined either. And though she never told Yuko her real thoughts, Torigoya trusted that Yuko understood and felt the same way.

And Yuko didn’t apologize to her either, not like with the others, there was no need to if it was Torigoya. Yuko spoke through her actions after all.

So they cuddled there on bed, tangled up with each other. And they just stayed there, just like that, until their time was up.

“So~ Black, how you feeling?”

“Following the light that disappears, the fire also leaves my body.”

“Aww come on~ Don’t say that Black~”

“...” Black just sat on that chair in front of Yuko, staring at her with that unreadable expression.

Yuko sighed and rubbed the back of her neck, “Sorry, I know I’m really letting all you guys down.”

Black’s eyes widened a bit. “No, you are not.”

“Come on, you know I am. No need to lie about it, Black.”

“Yuko-san...”

“Try to be a bit more open, alright? You’re always so cold, just like a stone statue, but you’re also reliable and solid, like a guardian so have bit more confidence in yourself.”

“...”

“And for god’s sake try communicating! Your riddles are so hard for me to figure out~” Yuko whined. “I never went to school you know! I’m no good at poetry and stuff.”

“H-Hai, Yuko-san...I will try.” Black looked down shyly.

“And you know, Black...” She glanced up and Yuko suddenly looked at her so seriously, the sight briefly blasting her back to the first time she met Yuko, a long long time ago in that alley. “You can always find another light.”

“It...it is not that simple.” Black stated.

“Sure it is. It’s as simple as you want it to be, but you’ll have to make it simple, with your own hands.” Yuko clenched both fists in example.

“...I can’t.”

“You can.” She insisted. “I know you have another reason to live for, and it will be enough to replace me.”

Black jerked her head up fully, mostly in surprise. Wait...does she know? Unintentionally, she placed a hand on her belly.

Yuko smiled, and Black couldn’t really tell if she did or not.

“Somebody needs to take care of Geki too~ So I’ll leave that to you okay? Don’t let me down.”

“...Hai.” Though hesitant at first, it was a definite answer. “I will.”

“Good.”

---

Sado was last.

“Hey Sado!”

“Idiot! Sit down!” Sado scolded when she saw Yuko trying to get up.

But Yuko just laughed her off, “You’re just like Torigoya~” She sat back down though, she did just do it to scare Sado a bit, just a little bit for shits and giggles.

Sado huffed and crossed her arms. Unlike the others, she didn’t want to be close to Yuko right now and chose to lean on the window sill facing her. They’d always been better at facing off than anything else anyways.

Yuko let her legs hand off the bed and stretched her arms high with a wide grin. “Ah that feels nice~ You know I’ve been dishing out advice like it’s my job? I feel all pretentious and shit, so mind if I just talk with you normally?”

Her eyes were bright, blindingly so. Sado almost didn’t want to look so she rolled her eyes.

“As if you have to ask.”

Yuko’s eyes lit up even more at her answer. These two never broke routine, even now, they supported each other’s backs. Yuko was grateful for that. Sado was even more so.

“So...” Yuko cleared her throat, “How you feeling?”

“Like crap.”

She barked out a laugh. “I like that answer~”

And Sado quirked a small smile too, though a bit forced. “So anything you have to say to me? Any wise words of wisdom or wonderful advice on the meaning of life like you told the others?”

“I think you already know what I would say~”

She shrugged, “But I figured I’d ask anyways.”

“A wise-ass until the end huh? I’m gonna miss you.” Yuko shook her head, chuckling.

“Hey don’t get sappy on me.” Sado warned her.

“Oh shut up. You’re the sentimental one and you know it.”

“Says the one who cries at animated movies.”

“I like cartoons! They are no worse than live action!” Yuko protested. “And it was sad when that dog died!!”

Sado still had that pained smile on. “Yeah...it was sad, wasn’t it? When they lost him...”

“Sado...” Yuko sighed and moved to sit cross legged. “We had a good run didn’t we? I don’t have any regrets really.”

“Don’t worry about me, Yuko. I’ll be fine.”

“Pfft yeah right,” She rolled her eyes. “’Cause I’ll be spinning in my grave with worry.” Yuko made a circular motion with her index finger, voice dripping with sarcasm. “It’s not like you can take care of yourself or anything, such a crybaby—okay scratch that you actually are a crybaby, not to mention like fifty years older than me.”

“OI! I am not old.” Sado glared daggers at the squirrel. She didn’t care if Yuko was the head or anything, that didn’t matter right now. They were just two friends, having a nice (rude) chat like always. And no one gets away with calling her old (Sado’s kinda sensitive about that).

“Yes you are, you damn babaa (old lady).”

“And here I thought I was the sadistic one.”

“You’re right! You’re a sadist too! Damn you got a terrible personality.”

“Shut the hell up.”

Yuko laughed, and that got Sado to too.

It was a good long laugh and ended with Yuko wiping a few tears from her eyes, asking, “Man what are we even? What are we Sado?”

“The hell should I know? You’re the one who’s always got the crazy ideas. Don’t ask me.”

“Ah you’re right again~”

Sado sighed at Yuko’s sudden epiphany, but a smile tugged at the corners of her lips - a real one this time.

“But I think...I remember you saying once...that we couldn’t be best friends because we were all so different. But we were close anyways, we had those bonds to keep us together.” Yuko looked wistful for a moment.

You were that bond.

“And I guess...you aren’t wrong. We aren’t best friends. We’re not even friends.”

Sado looked shocked for a split second.

“We’re comrades. And more than that, we’re family.” Yuko smiled nostalgically, eyes a little teary as she looked up at her. “Keep our family together, Sado. That’s my last order.”

---

Sado came out crying. The whole body shaking silently kind. It wasn’t much of a surprise. She never cried, but when it came to Yuko...no one could blame her.

It was hard.

Yuko was the glue that kept them together. The head of the family. Their sister. Their home.

It was hard losing someone you cared about.

But their home wouldn’t disappear just because Yuko wasn’t physically there. A home doesn’t just stop existing once it becomes your home, because it’ll always be in their memories – just like Yuko. Those memories were now their most precious things, that time they spent together, and this would be Yuko’s new home.

So they would be okay. For Yuko’s sake.

And for Yuko’s sake, they would keep on living as serious or perhaps even more than Yuko did. Though none of them thought they could possibly match the girl’s spirit, they could at least try. Because that’s what it meant to be a yankee.

To get up after hitting rock bottom and keep going...that was true strength.

Yuko taught them that.

Omake

After talking with Yuko, Shibuya took off down another hallway to cool down, nearly pushing past Torigoya as the latter tried to come in. She was angry, bitter, and sad for so many reasons—Yuko being the cause for all of them.

But Shibuya didn’t want to think about that.

So she thought back to Maeda. That girl who never seemed to care about being strong or fighting at all, which was what Shibuya cared about the most.

Damn her...

She wanted nothing more than to beat that stone cold face in. But during that taiman...when their wills clashed, Shibuya realized that she could never win against her—why Yuko and Sado seemed to be so fixated on Maeda, then she didn’t feel like fighting anymore. All her willingness just left her like an empty shell.

Shibuya, for the first time in her life, threw the fight.

Scoffing at her own thoughts, Shibuya leaned her back against the wall, having traveled far enough with her hands stuck deep in her pockets.

“Her headbutt isn’t even as hard as Sado’s.” She muttered.

It really messed with her pride, especially when the whole school buzzed with the news but...she did it for Yuko. They would all be graduating in a few months, no one to take over Majijo as the top, so maybe this would reassure her. It was Shibuya’s own way of sending Yuko off. If Maeda could beat all of them, then Yuko could move on without any regrets.

And now she will.

But Shibuya won’t. Those feelings of doing whatever she could for Yuko’s sake...they were gone now. And so was Yuko.

Even though she promised...she would never betray me...

Shibuya slammed her fist on the wall, bitter tears spilling over. In the end, Yuko left her just like everyone else. Just like everyone else. But Shibuya couldn’t honestly be mad at Yuko even if she desperately told herself she was. Even if she desperately tried to disguise her sadness with anger.

In the end, Shibuya knew she had already forgiven her.

But what she couldn’t forgive...was Maeda. Shibuya didn’t approve of Maeda. She knew Yuko and Sado both did, that Maeda was strong and carried the same seriousness as Yuko. But that alone wasn’t good enough to be the top, not in Shibuya’s opinion. Maeda never would be.

Maeda could never replace Yuko.

Shibuya’s fist against the wall tightened, leather squeaking from the pressure. Yuko didn’t set the rules anymore, so she would play by her own.

“Maeda...Prepare yourself.” Shibuya was about to take matters into her own hands.

Yuko-san's reign has ended but she will always be remembered as the greatest teppen of Majisuka Gakuen  :ptam-cry:

And everyone's goodbye is just....  :ptam-hbk:

I honestly believe that they should have a scene like your omake in season 2; even as fleshback. It explains why Shibuya turned her back on Majisuka. :bingo:

Anyways, I'm glad you're back, even if it means the end of this beautiful story :on cny2:

I look forward to any future stories you may write. :kneelbow:   :byebye:
