Chapter 7


I woke up about an hour later with the noises coming from outside and noticed a man and woman bickering, I looked over to Ai as she looked innocently in her sleep and I ran my finger over her cheek.  I didn't want to ruin anything so I put the blanket over her body and kissed her on the forehead as I looked outside the window with the dimmed light.  I kept my head right toward the window as I watched the whole fight as she fell to the ground.  I looked back at Ai and instantly went into my room as I grabbed the gun out and crawled out to the balcony as I had a clear shot.  I loaded up the gun and aimed between his shoulders and pulled the trigger.  He just dropped to the ground as I crawled back inside and slid the gun underneath the bed.

“Eri... where are you?  I just heard a gun shot.”  Ai softly calling me as I ran back to see her waking up from her peaceful sleep.  She got up and walked into the bathroom to do her business as I looked out the window seeing the police officers around the two bodies.  The woman ran over to the boyfriend realizing his wound to his back caused his unfortunate death.

Ai got out of the bathroom seeing the scene outside and just sighed.  She dragged me back to the couch and wrapped her arms around my head.  She gave me a smile before closing her eyes again and snuggled up to her as I went back to sleep.

“Wake up, Sleepyhead~ I made breakfast, I only have about half an hour before my class so I'll be on my way and enjoy your day!”  I waved her goodbye and happily ate the omelet she made for me with the ketchup smile on top.  I quickly consumed it to my delight and just sat on the couch as it approach mid day and another call from Reina came through as I waited for the car to pull up and seeing Reina carrying a heavy bag.

“Reina really feels strong for me to continue this but Ai seems to not like it even if I told her but I guess it is more for her safety than mine.”  I said quietly as I heard a knock at the door and I opened to Reina and her bag plopped on the floor.  She opened it up to reveal the money she had kept from everyone for her assistance.  She dragged the bag over to the closet and ran to the couch to relax, I pushed her legs away, and felt her hand on my thighs.

“You look cute for a girl who everyone hates, I personally thought they resist or forgive them but you really take the cake.”  She laughed as she walked to the refrigerator and brought out the leftover curry and zapped it up in the microwave.  I tilted my head back as Reina scooped up the first bit of curry and she gave me a look as she put down the bowl.

“Does it still bother you that Ai doesn't know?”  Reina swallowed her bite and put her hands around my face.  I bit down on my lip as she went back to her bowl of curry, she took another bite, and finally dropped the spoon into the bowl and ran into Ai's room.  I tried to grab her before she got in but it was too late and I could only look at her as she was amazed by Ai's cleanliness.

“Relax, I just wanted to see a clean room, yours is so dirty, do you ever clean up?”  I shook my head as I sat back down on the couch.  Reina dumped the rest of the curry down the drain and waved goodbye as I felt my stomach growled.  I looked inside to find a note and it seemed Reina left me a plate filled with riceballs and I happily ate it before Ai came home.

Chapter 6: Hmm, the way Ai reacts, I feel as if she knows more about the situation than Eri thinks, perhaps it's just me however....

Chapter 7: Do I detect the first signs of some Reina/Eri flirting? again, maybe just me....

Chapter 8


With Reina's advice in my head, I decided to clean up my room and I found a box filled with the pictures I had with Risa.  I hesitated to open it up as I left it to the side with the memories of her in my head, I opened the cover to find the two babies looking at each other.  It was rather cute just seeing Risa  always by my side as the years went along.  Even if I was the quiet one, she would always let me be in her group and protect me from all the other girls.  My parents thought that because how close I was with her, she would be my husband, unfortunately it was farther from the truth.

Flashback

“Erinin... How was class?”  I shook my head as I took her to the side.

“I need help... the teacher seems to pick on me more often than usual... she thinks I daydream a lot...”  Risa grabbed my hand and ran into the room as the teacher was packing up.  Risa stormed in and pounded her fists into the desk.  The teacher looked at me and then looked at the angry expression on Risa's face.

“Niigaki-san, Kamei is doing great in my class but I wish she could speak more, she has a wonderful voice and when she writes it comes out beautifully, but I do want her to speak more often.”  Risa softened her stance and she looked back to bring me over to the teacher.  The teacher looked at me and    patted me on the head.

“You have a great friend to stand up for you, but I want you to stand up for yourself and don't let other people walk over you.”  She nodded and went home for the day.  I remembered her words as the news of Risa's death arose and she came out in front of the crowd and told them it was an accident but after the crowd was angered by her words, they caved in on her and her battered body was left on the street as I was sheltered in the house eventually before grabbing them into the streets.

I closed the book as I felt the tears streaming down my face and slipped it underneath my bed as I got everything straightened out in my room and found a bag to leave the weapons and mask in case I was on the road.  I suddenly heard the door open to Ai as she carried her books in from school.  I quickly embraced her as she pecked me on the cheek as usual.

“You seem happy and you cleaned your room... I think you have been busy lately that you are trying to impress me.”  I giggled nervously as she took a seat on the couch and let me rest my head on her shoulder.  For the few quiet moments, I just stuck with Ai as she ran her fingers through my hair and finally the sound of a car screeching in the street made us both look outside.

The car avoided the person crossing the street and he came out with his anger visibly shown on his face and looked around for the police officer but since none were around he wildly threw a punch at the person and the fight ensued with the two arguing and swinging at each other with the fists until the pedestrian stabbed him with his knife and the driver fell over in pain.  He dropped the knife by his face and walked away as the witnesses came out of the buildings to care for the man.

“People these days, just react to violence, luckily we can stay here to be safe, and no one shall interfere with our lives.”  I wish I could believe those words, but I want to make it the solution and not add to the problem, well let's see how far I can get away with this...

Hmm, seems as though Eri is about to do some more murdering, I Still cant see how Gaki would be happy at what Eri is doing still.....

Chapter 9

As we both fell a sleep, I heard a knock at the door and Reina panting as she was trying to catch her breath from running up the stairs to our apartment.  Reina closed the door behind her and shoved both of us into my room. 

“Sorry, but they had a mock town hall meeting and I overheard that people are after you for the killings, just stay here for a while.”  Reina walked back out and lay down a trap right in front of the door and heard a bang as smoke came through the door.

“Who are you?”  Ai asked as Reina looked Ai and she smiled as I looked out side the window.

“My name is Tanaka Reina, Eri helped me when the store person was being mean with me because I didn't pay for my fruits.”  She extended her hand as Ai grabbed me from the window.

“Why didn't you tell me you had another friend.”  She playfully punched me in the arm as I nervously laughed and Reina started to grab the weapons out of my closet.  Ai's eyes widened as she saw the knife and the gun coming out of my closet.

“Wait... you were the one...”  Reina looked at me and I looked at Ai as I took her to the side.  Ai sat on my bed as she put her face into her hands.  I wanted to say it and I looked at Reina one more time before deciding to make it official.

“Ai-chan, yes... I met Reina because I was sick of getting pick on and you are always protecting me since you came here.  If you were to get injured, I would not forgive myself, and I know Risa would feel the same way but if I had a chance to protect someone, I thought it would be nice to have people to help me more often.  You are busy every day and I know you like school but I thought if I could make you feel better...”  She looked up and ran toward Reina.

“If you were helping her with the plan, why are you doing so?”  Reina paused as she stood back with the bag over her shoulder.

“Have you ever been picked on before?  Have people stepped up when you weren't sure?  It's easy to be a protector of another person, but... have you actually fought for Eri?  Risa did and look at where she is at, people protected her and turned against the one she was protecting.  Do you think Risa would do the same if Eri went away?  Answer that question before you lash out at her.”  Ai sucked up her tears and looked at me.

“So, you think killing off the people that hate you will make you any better... If that is the case, I understand and I will follow you blindly.  However, I feel hurt that it took Reina to explain it to me and I will never forgive you for the killings, but I want you to learn that running away will not solve your problems.”  I nodded and ran through the smoke and away from the group on the floor, we got to the back alley where Sayu was waiting for us and we all jumped into the limousine.

Ai looked away as I tried to speak to her and I felt angered as we spent the whole ride to the secret spot that I was taken to days earlier.  When we got out, I told Sayu and Reina to go ahead and I finally got my thoughts together.

“Listen to me...”  Ai quickly turned away as the driver was watching us.

“AI, STOP IGNORING ME!  I NEVER WANTED TO DO THIS BUT... but... it was for you to not get hurt, if you think I did it for me, you're wrong, I did it for you.”  Ai concentrated on me as she grabbed my hand.

“What about Risa?”  I froze as I thought about her.

“Risa... would never approve of this... she was the first one I'd talk to before going on this and she would have slapped all the weapons out of my hands and take the pain but I kept it in my hand and when I did the first one.  Risa yelled at me and I just ignored her, I could only think that, I was at fault, and I didn't want to lose another because I was weak and silent.  I can't shove it to you, but I want you to understand that losing another person because I was the same person as before would kill me even more.”  I fell to the ground and Ai came to my side.

“I finally understood why Risa was important, I saw the picture book, and reason why I kept it with me.”  She handed me the book.  “Risa was your strength because you were hers, she knew you would protect her even if you didn't speak up.  So, she knew you would protect her when she needed it, but not in the physical form but that alternative being that is in you to prove that you are not weak, so if it makes you feel better, do it for self-defense rather than revenge, understand?”  Ai lifted me up and the driver applauded.

“I never seen such a bond between people in my time being on this journey, do you know that someone will die right?”  We both shook our heads.

“Well I've said too much, let's have dinner.”  We all went back into the room and saw the food on the table as I had to think about the driver's words..

So seems as though the town is truly after Eri now, this time for legitimate reasons, seems as though Ai has perhaps come to tearms with what Eri has become but for some reasonI am still sure that Ai is not happy about it and as she said "what would Gaki think?"

Someoe will die!  Why do I feel bad for Ai, even if Eri says she is doing all this to protect Ai (I can't see that myself) but will the way she has been 'protectin' her be the reason she ends up dead?

Chapter 10

We both walked into a small room with a fireplace and a small table with four chairs as Reina and Sayu came from the kitchen with pieces of chicken with gravy and vegetables on their paper plates.  We walked into the kitchen and saw two women in their talking something foreign to our ears and gave us a smile as we got our food.

“You two are new here... You guys must be Reina's friends.”  The taller one wiped up her hands and took off her chef's hat as she took out her brown bag.  She silently took our her sandwich and placed it on top of the plate with a spoon of gravy over the sandwich.

“Oh I'm Li Chun and my partner Lin Qian, we are personal chefs for Reina and Sayu, they gave us jobs as we got stuck here because the offer went through.  They just gave us money and we just made the food we knew and gathered some stuff from others.  So, we are just learning about cuisine and if we can find our way back, I wanted to thank her.”  She crunched through the first bite and let us go through the line as we filled our plates.  The shorter one went to Ai and just smiled as she greeted her and I dragged Ai out of the kitchen as we sat in front of the other two.

“I guess you met Jun and Lin, they are probably the coolest people and I usually feel bad that they had that offer went through.”  Sayu swallowed her food quickly as she seemed anxious to mention something.

“Jun is also a great listener... every time I have an issue, she always manages to listen.”  Reina slapped her forehead as Ai started to giggle.

“Jun is only trying to woo you away from me, and she always sneaks a peek every time your shower.”  Sayu crossed her arms in disgust and denied Reina's words.

“Reina is jealous...”  Sayu stuck out her tongue as Reina shook her head as she took another piece of chicken into her mouth.  Ai put her hand on Sayu and smiled at her as I quietly ate my dinner and Reina just finished her dinner as she yanked me away from the table.  Reina threw her plate away and let out a sigh.

“Reina... is something wrong?” I asked her and her expression changed, she sat down, and relaxed in her chair.

“Eri you may not know this but Jun and Sayu are relatively close, its not like I am losing her but she is such a flirt but a dangerous flirt.  When I started my run, I met her and something I couldn't put my finger on that made me attracted to her.  Then, she shot a pistol at a guy who was harassing me and seeing in her eyes, something that attractive can be rather deadly.  Reason why I hung around her but she was way into the killings than I was.  When I finished my mission, she would cut off their pinkies and threw them into a jar.  However, right before we came here, she lit them on fire and in her mind something was viciously wrong.  Also, when I did ask, she told me that it was her thing to do and not mines.”  Reina and I walked back out seeing Ai and Sayu talking to each other and she ventured into the kitchen.  Jun ran up to her and she was ready to listen to her orders, as Reina gave them out, her eyes widened and ran away as Lin stood there in silence.  I observed something that Reina knew it would happen but she seemed to be stopping something.  Reina followed after Jun minutes later as Sayu and Ai were about done with the dinner.

“Where did Jun go~”  Sayu whining toward Lin who was still in shock.

“Reina wanted to talk to her...”  I replied as Ai and Sayu looked at each other and continued their conversations.  I became nervous as Lin came from behind and tapped me on the shoulder.

“I think Jun is in trouble, because Sayu has been around her a lot, making her quite jealous.”  Lin walked toward the room with the door ajar.  I followed her hearing the sounds of Jun and Reina shouting until it all ended and I quickly hid to the side as Lin ran back.  Reina came out as she wiped off her hands and saw me in shivering.

“Don't worry, Jun is tired and she'll be back tomorrow for breakfast.”  Reina walked back as I followed her and never looking back at Jun.

Chapter 11

The time came to finding another victim as Ai was hanging around Sayu a lot more and knowing what she had said, I couldn't help but to clue her in, even if she disagreed.  As I walked up to Ai, Reina pulled me aside as she discovered a problem:  The townspeople were at our apartment.

“Eri, a source told me they are searching for you, you must end this right away, but it will be quite tricky as I feel they might be on high security.  Now, I think the hardware owner's daughter has a date tonight with her boyfriend.  They may be undermining the situation so I'll leave it up to you to do what you have to do.”  Reina explained and I decided to walk out with my hoodie and mask on with the knife in my pocket.

Luckily it was quiet as everyone went toward the apartment and seeing the couple walking out toward the restaurant, I took my chance and threw a pebble toward them.  The man told her to wait at the restaurant as I baited him into the dark alley.  I took the blade and jammed it into his beck as he pleaded for help but with no one around, I had a shot for the woman.

“Where is he?”  She yelled and I took out a gun as she followed my orders into an empty room next to the restaurant.  She quickly yelled and whipped her with the gun as she fell to the floor with a drip of blood on her face.  She lunged toward me and knocked her unconscious, she fell over onto the floor face up as I dragged her to the bed.

“Wow she is feisty.”  I said to myself as I dimmed the lights but a thought came into mind with the gun in hand, I laid it next to her.  I gazed at her through the eye holes and began to the next step as I took her wallet and threw her purse into the thrash can.  Then, coming from the darkness a homeless man drunk from the cheap liquor stood in front of the lady.

“Free entry, eh.”  He hiccuped and sat in the chair next to the bed as he began to take off every article of her clothes.  He looked back at me as he was feeling the guilt of his actions and I looked over at the gun by her.  He picked it up and put it on the table as he undressed himself and left him with the unconscious girl.  However, after a few pleasurable minutes with her, I drew out my spare and shot him in the head.  She woke up with a dead man draping over and looking down, she screamed for help and took her out of her misery.

I walked out hiding the gun underneath my hoodie and still watched the guy struggling to get himself back up as he swung toward me.  However, his shoulder and arm had become numbed by the wound and fell back to the ground.

“You bastard!  Why are you killing us?” I never responded as I stepped on his hand and gave him a stare into his eyes.  The brown eyes had become soft, scared, and with nothing left to care about, I had looked in her wallet and took out a few pictures.  It was her with another man, the richest man of the town and her happy face ruined the guy's hope.

“She was cheating on me...  I never deserved her, she was a two-timing whore... I wished that you would go to hell and watch you roast for what you have done.”  I carefully thought about the words and  took my foot off his hand.

“You were cheating on her too... How can you be right and she be wrong?  How can she not get away with it while you were having an affair with her sister behind her back?  Hmm but the funny part was the sister had something she wanted to give.  She contracted a disease from another suitor and as he died, he cursed her as the it spread into his body as it is doing for yours.  I saved her from the embarrassment you would have given to her.  However, she knew that her sister had it and to save her, she rejected you many times.  As her sister withered away, she gave out the secret, and with a simple speech, she hated you and planned to get her revenge.  Sleeping with the man was not enough, she became intrigued with all the men behind your back as you thought she would sit waiting for you, ha, guess what?  Every eligible man had a sample.”  Finishing the speech he swung toward me one more time and took out my gun.

“She's dead... she deserves it... me, I shall live on, even if you want me to or not.”  His final words became his wish as a pull of the trigger ended his life.  I stuck it back underneath my hoodie and walked back to headquarters.  Reina was waiting at the door as she turned on the news seeing the apartment on fire.

“Good night”  Reina smirked as I changed into my pajamas and joined Ai for sleep.  I slipped underneath the blanket and gave her a kiss tonight before turning in myself.

Chapter 12

The next morning I woke up to the smell of something sweet and found Jun and Lin working hard as Reina and Sayu were at the table setting up the spreads for breakfast.

“Hey ya Eri?  Right?”  Jun waved as I walked over to the fresh muffins popped out of the tin.

“Yeah, what happened last night?”  Jun leaned over as she whispered into my ear.

“I had been under the weather lately, and Reina usually carried all the medications but never described to me what they really are and she let's me sleep in her room as protection from any side effects of the medication.”  Jun smiled as she stacked the muffins on top of each other and gave it to me to carry to the table.

“Eri, Ohayou!  Is Ai still sleeping?”  Sayu asked as I totally forgot about Ai and ran back to see her still in her sleep but something didn't seem right as I came closer to waking her up, she seemed to be curled up and her eyes were wide open.

“Oha...you... Aichan”  I said quietly and she turned to see my face, she stood up, and walked by me.

“I know you went out to kill again last night, so you know how I feel but the thing was, you got rid of the person who was annoying me in school.  Who told you that she was the one giving me the most grief?”  I didn't know anything about Ai's school life as they banned me from soliciting but somehow it felt quite relieving that no one was going to bother Ai again.

“I didn't know that, I made up a story so the guy would die already before anyone saw me at the scene.”  Ai shook her head.

“Okay... I want you to tell me when you gotta do it because I have an itch that I have to scratch, if Reina would let me.”  I smiled as Ai followed me to the eating room as she wrapped her arms around me and digging her face into my back as I slowed down a bit before entering the room.  I looked toward the other room and I felt a chill down my spine.  I told Ai to have breakfast as I opened the light to the empty room and a book in the middle of the room.

“The tragedy of Lady Kojima”  I said to myself as I opened the book to find the list of names in the book and it was filled with the name Tanaka Reina but the last one was in hiragana and I began to think about the story which was about the death of a merchant, the wife was accused of killing him for his money but couldn't be proven true.  Then, a fellow came with a bag of goods which was beneficial to her health as he began to court her, she became his bodyguard, eventually killing the villagers for putting the blame on her.  However, in the end, she looked at him and stabbed him in the heart as she thought he was going to back stab her.  But, he had a proposal of marriage leading to her death.  In her final note, she changed her name back to her maiden name of Tanaka Reina.

“You know the story of Lady Kojima?”  I turned to find Reina at the door and closed it behind me as she looked at the book. 

“I lied when I mentioned about my name change, my name is that but they gave me the hiragana because they wanted to avoid the story, but fate gave me this and I took it.  However, I wanted to personally end this story and no one would be able to use that name again, so it is up to you to continue the legacy or throw it into the fire.”  I closed the book and walked by her to get my breakfast as I knew what I wanted to do but was it the right thing to do?

chapter 11: Man to me Eri has turned into a truly evil character with what she did with these murders, even if in the end it did kinda benefit Ai it was still a proper evil murder spree

chapter 12: Well at least Jun is back and she seems to be ok  So this book is all the people Reina has killed, andis she offering Eri to become the next in line to her?

Chapter 13

“Look at the newspaper!”  Ai called me over and I found the apartment burnt in pictures.  I felt my blood boil but I knew as long as Ai was here, I could actually live with myself.  Looking at Sayu, I grabbed my muffin and sat next to Ai as she turned to next page.

“Eri... I actually want to talk to you...”  Ai whispered into my ear as she dragged me out of the room as we sat in the empty room.  Ai sat across of me and then we heard an explosion right above us and ran out to see Reina with her gun in hand.

“Ai, sorry if you want to help, go ahead but if not, go follow Jun and Lin into the bunker.”  Ai waved goodbye as I heard the footsteps above us.  Reina threw me a handgun and we entered into the backroom as Sayu set the trap near the entrance.  I sat back as we waited for the footsteps to go away and the room went silent as Reina sneaked her way into a corner as listened to the wall.

“Eri, they set something to draw us out, wait for the explosion, and see if they set off the trap.  If they do, let them run through the smoke and start shooting, if they don't, wait because they might get impatient.”  After a few seconds, an explosion blasted out my ears, and the footsteps came back as they ran toward the door but it stopped.

“Eri, let Sayu take care of them.”  Reina stopped me before exiting out of the door and a few shots later, Sayu barged in and smiled.

“Wait, Sayu... knows how to use a gun?”  Sayu laughed with gun in hand and looked toward Reina as she pointed the gun toward her.

“Eri, I was the one to tell her that a gun is better than a knife, now because she has been trying to keep Jun away from me, I need to ask her to stop.”  Sayu lowered the gun and dropped it off to the side as Reina lowered her weapon.  Sayu turned and a shot went through her as she fell to the ground, Reina walked toward her, and looked into her face.

“Sayu, you poor, poor girl, even you thought me about how to shoot a gun, you told me the number one rule is to never turn your back.  Guess what?  I guess you don't follow your own rule.”  Sayu crawled to a chair and looked at Reina.

“You're right...  I did tell you that and I don't deserve the thanks for killing them off, but somehow you knew me so well.”  Sayu took off her vest and dropped it to the floor, Reina smiled as she lifted her off the chair.

“A vest?  Smart thinking... never thought about protecting myself, I thought you would have bleed but I only stunned you.”  Sayu looked at Reina with her eyes and looked back at me.

“Eri, you seemed shock that I shot at Sayu... do you think I would purposely shoot at her if I knew about the vest, sorry I didn't but somehow Sayu wants to mention something right?”  Reina looked at Sayu and she stood up as Ai came down from the stairs.  With a glance, she seemed startled by something and ran toward me with her arms out and wrapped them around me.

“What's wrong?”  Before I could get an answer, the footsteps came again, and rushed into where Ai was staying.  I turned on the light seeing two bodies on the floor, I took a breath, and knew what was up.  I ran down to see Reina and Sayu conversing and pulled the trigger quickly and the taller one fell by Reina's feet.

“Why did you do that for?”  Reina's fist was inches away from my face as I stopped her with my hand and I pointed at the hiding place.  Reina ran up as I saw the blood slowly ran out of her, Sayu strugled to get back up as she groaned in pain with the bullet in her midsection.  I wanted to choke her out but looking at Ai, I held back as I looked over her.

“Why kill the Chinese girls?  What did they do?”  Sayu turned herself over and looked up toward me.

“They know too much, they couldn't live as long as they stayed here, Reina knew that...”  I stepped on Sayu's hand as she let out another groan.  Ai saw Reina coming down as she cocked her gun and shot at Sayu's foot missing her by an inch.

“Let her go, she will die here in peace, Eri, Ai, this is gonna be a hell of a trip and since this is rather new, Eri take care of Ai and venture toward the city limits in the West, the driver should be there with the limousine.”  Ai paused as she looked at Reina.

“What about you?”

“My mission is done, I will go my own way without Sayu, I will enjoy my time with you guys, and I'll be somewhere, just go!”  With the final goodbye, we left to go West seeing the people on the street corners guarding the exit.

What! Sayu shot Jun and Lin!  at leat Eri has gotten revenge for them, it seems as though it's just Eri and Ai now as it seems as though Sayu is finished and Reina is now going her own way!

Chapter 14


“How many do we have to go through Eri?”  Ai asked as I hid behind the building.

“I don't know, we have to see for ourselves, and we need a lot of luck on our side.”  I felt the rush of shooting off my gun but leaving Ai vulnerable was not my idea and with only 24 bullets left, I had to be creative.

Looking at Ai, I grabbed her hand and held her as long as I could feeling her warmth and one more chance to not be what Ai saw me as.  I looked at the corner and aimed at his leg as Ai looked behind me and I pulled the trigger.  I turned back into the space and heard a few shots go my way and the parry continued as I waited for it to be over.

“Eri, why did Sayu spare me?”  I thought about the fact and I had a hunch but what if it was true?

“Sayu knew that killing you would not be worth my time, she wanted to get rid of all the present stuff, I don't know if Reina was going to do the same but she wants us to continue the tragedy.

“Do you want to?”  I shook my head.

“The Tanaka Reina name shall be buried with her.”  Ai tilted the head as the gunfire stopped and seeing toward the side of Ai was an unused flare.  I threw the flare out into the road and one turned toward us and shot him on the dot.  We ran past the corner and saw the limousine in front of us but seeing the group behind us, we threw out arms in the air as they approached us.

“We finally got them!”  One yelled as they were within arm's range and then a shot rung out from the back of them as they all turned and it was Reina strapped with a bomb.

“You guys should be after me... I did the killings, that girl you guys blame for her for the death of a friend, now you shall go to hell...”  With a click of a button the buildings started to go off as I grabbed Ai and jumped into the limousine.  I looked behind as the buildings were turned to rubble and the people silenced as the town were the fireworks for the setting sun.

“Madam, shall we go to the next town?”  The driver asked as I looked at Ai.

“Take me to the nearest airport and I will make my decision from there.”  I commanded and the driver took the freeway and we saw a familiar sight and asked to detour here before we got to the airport.

We arrived at the cemetery and found the head stone with Risa's name and put my hands together in prayer.  A few seconds in, I felt my hands being pressed harder together but it didn't seem like Ai's hands but Risa...

“Go on, Eri don't let anything stop you”  The whisper made me smile.

“Thank you, Risa, I will never forget you.”  I dropped my hands to the ground and teared up as Ai picked me up.

“Let's go”  Ai took me into the limousine and drove off.

So Reina sacarficed herself to save Eri and Ai..... 

I wonder if this is the chance that Eri needed to change her life and give up on the killings or at least escape to somewhere safe with Ai....

oh my god- i finally finished this. I've taken to calling Eri the angel of death while reading this. Be interesting to see what happens in the wake of Eri's destruction. this is not the end, right?
