Watanabe Mayu 20th Birthday Book Project Complete!

Thank you all for your submissions! We received a massive 135 submissions in total - which was a lot of work for the team! We translated them all into Japanese, and included both the original language and Japanese translation. These were compiled into a 66 page hardback book, each page individually designed!

Here are the front and back covers of the finished product:



We added an intro page and collage of Mayu pictures throughout the years:



And the rest of the book was your contributions, including submitted images. Here are a few photos as examples:



The book will be handed over to the Japanese birthday committee next week, who will then hand over the book together with the gifts they have compiled at Mayu's birthday show at the AKB48 Theatre. The date of her birthday show has not yet been decided, but is likely to be mid/late-April (unless it turns out to be that rogue Team A show on March 31st...)

 Guys your freaking awesome and designed pages with near enough two a page each persons will be so individual and she'll definitely read them all gawd for some reason I feel nervous that a celebrity will actually read something I've written

The book is a birthday present to Mayu full of people's personal messages to her, so isn't really meant for anyone else to see. I posted some photos just to show an example of what the whole book is like, in retrospect I should have blurred out the text...

If anyone wants to see a photo or a digital version of the page their message appeared on then either shoot me a PM here or send an email to mayubday@outlook.com
It'll probably be about two weeks till I'm able to respond though, sorry.

Mayu's birthday show hasn't been announced yet so we don't know when she will be given the book yet.
