You didn't notice at first, but have now become one of your faves?
You didn't like (or even hated) at first, but like a lot now?
Were your favourites at first (I mean the first time you saw them, the very first impression), but aren't even close to your top 10 or 15 anymore?
Are there any members who only recently (e.g. during the last 2 months) grabbed your attention due to some new release, tv show, a concert etc.?
Or have none of your opinions changed? o_O
I'm curious to hear about these changes, not so much about who you liked or disliked from the start.

kago, tsuji, matsuura, fujimoto. i thought kago and tsuji were adorable when they were younger. now they are eh. matsuura and fujimoto just annoy me now for varying reasons.

Maybe Rika and Reina. I can't remember when I really started liking Rika - I read some great posts about her personality that made me realize how awesome she is, so I think that made me notice her. But it really took a while until I started paying attention to her. And Reina - she was just one of "the newest members", and I also became a hardcore H!P fan during the period when Reina had very little spotlight in singles etc. But yeah, she's cool.

Well, Sayumi, and all H!P kids before I got into them... And then Momoko and Risako after I got to know them. Sayu has totally brainwashed me. I used to think she's not even cute so even the only thing she had going for her wasn't really working. But then I actually started finding her cute and now I love her. Her singing still sucks, but like I've said before, it's so bad it's good. The badness gives it entertainment value.. Kind of like really bad movies can still be fun :lol:
I used to hate Momoko's voice and I thought she looked like an old man sometimes. There was just nothing about her that I liked. But it has completely changed, she's my favourite Berryz member now. Risako I used to dislike because I thought she was waaayyy overrated, and I still do to some extent - but she really is very cute and I like her now.

The first members I noticed were Aibon, Sayaka, Konno, Yuko and Kaori... And none of them are my top favourite members anymore. :D The interest I had for Aibon was superficial and so her personality never drew me enough to make her one of my faves. Koi no dance site was my first and only PV for months (because I didn't have internet) and I loved Sayaka... But then I found out she's not there anymore, so that ended there. I can't remember when I started liking Konno, but I did. I still love her, but I just love others more. Haha. And Kaori I found pretty at first, but that interest faded pretty quickly.
Yuko was actually who I really got into at first. She was so hot hosting the news section in HM with Konno and Makoto. Thanks to her I got into old school Morning Musume so fast. Too bad it also made me notice Nacchi (Pinch Runner :heart: ) and Yuko went bye bye. Because she doesn't release stuff, I've lost a lot of interest in her... Even if I still love her voice and character.

Maki! ^LOL Yeah, this is the truth. Both are kind of a trauma in my H!P newbie time. People was blaming Yossie for having extra-weight and praising Rika reasonless. I also had no reason to hate Rika (aside of her voice, that has improved within the years), but the only fact of Rika-fans blaming Yossie made me hate Rika for a while. (But she was still in my heart) LOL Don't hit me. It was a non-voluntary hate xD Same with Maki. People was bitching on Aya, so, only to fuck that people, I put my self on Aya's side and I started to bitch on Maki, against who I had nothing. God, what times were those! xD Thanks God, all this belongs to the past. I spread IshiYoshi love like Maria spread Jesus word, and I stopped bitching on Maki someday I can't remember. I never did it in a bad intention. It was all revenge? 90%. Fact is that, indeed, Rika and Maki were never among my favorites, but some day... HA! both appeared in my top. Probably because of sexyness.

I love Kaori thanks to her Mediterranean music, not thanks to MM or TPP.
I would have never listened to Berryz, but I did it thanks to Happiness and Risako, who is happiness herself.

Makoto, Risa, Eri and Reina had their spotlight time on my fandom. Now only Reina stands in there.

Eri. At first she was kinda like Konno, a weird and shy girl but then she got the HM news gig and that finally established her character. Suddenly the quiet girl who was always in the background became the best thing since Charmy and one of the most entertaining members. She's still one of the most entertaining MM members on HM.

Yui. I hated her when I saw her for the first time. She was the worst newbie ever and she couldn't even talk. I didn't even find her attractive at all back then. But then she learned how to talk and started showing off her boobs :P
Nobody in H!P has improved as much as Yui in only one year.

Miki. Her anti-idol gimmick just got boring and lame. If I wanna see anti-idol shit I'm gonna start following fucking Britney or something :lol:

Maki. DEF. DIVA made me like Maki more. She looked and sounded stunning.

Yaguchi was and still is one of my favorite members. But until she...you know...I never really noticed Konno. She was almost invisible to my Mari-centric vision at the time. But know, of course, I'm all about Konkon.

Funny thing is, I got into MM because of Maki, but after a while she seemed so dull and stuck-up I couldn't stand her, that's when I noticed Mari. And her indifferent attitude about leaving MM really made me hate her. But after a few Utabons and some solo interviews I started to see some personality. Of course I always thought she was hot, but kind blah too. Now I really like her and enjoy seeing her perform.

Well when the 5th gen first appeared, I had such high hopes for makoto. But she really disapointed me. I find almost nothing remarkable about her, and I don't really like her at all.

Eri! After Days and her Dokyu special.....I find I really look forward to seeing more of her.

Konno. I would watch a performance not knowing that she even existed in there, but thanks to Gatas I'm really rooting for her now.

Kaori. It was Kaori that got me into H!P, but I don't even download her albums now.

MKB. They were awesome in the HPP concert that I regretted not checking them out earlier on. And now that group is almost dead!!

I'd have to say Eri would be the closest to fitting in here. At first I barely noticed her. She was like an afterthought. I liked it when she started opening up more and became more comfortable to be not so shy in front of the camera.

Before, I couldn't stand MKB. Wouldn't listen to any of their songs or watch anything in which they made an appereance (usually I'd just skip over their parts). Can't really explain it, but I just couldn't stand them. I started to like Shibata after the IshiShiba Futarigoto and I guess, over time, I've been more and more open-minded and willing to check out their songs and stuff than I used to be.

Again, MKB. Specifically their acapella perfs and the EROS perf with Ayaya on the HAROPURO PARTY 2005 - MATSUURA AYA CAPTAIN KOUEN DVD really impressed me.

Kamei Eri was just that other sixth gen girl, but after the hair cut, she has just flew up my rankings. I actually forgot Risa was part of Morning Musume for a while there, but then I was part of the JPM Sakura vs Otome karaoke sing off, and I did Risa's parts in Hare Ame Nochi Suki (all two lines). It was then that I suddenly started to notice her and she FLEWWWWW up my rankings.

Matsuura Aya. My first impressions of Ayaya were from a clip where "Princess Ayaya" was showing off some robot thing on a variety show. The next clip I watched was her being locked into a booth that she was supposed to escape from (locks everywheres), and then the booth burst into flames and fell a couple stories and scared the crap out of the Morning Musume members. And then she ran out and laughed at how she fooled them. They all thought she was dead, and she was just laughing.
But after I listened to her X3 album, the seed was planted, and slowly and surely I begin to like her a little more and a little more. Her constant ballads from that point on were an obstacle to my liking her, but her concerts just blew me away. She is so entertaining in concert. More so than any other artist in H!P.

This sort of goes back and forth. At first I really like Nacchi, Rika, and Maki, but at some times I hate them so much.. they really fall to the bottom of my list. But then they do something to rise back up. Right now.. hmm... No one right now.

Koharu has had my attention for the past nine months, but I still love her more and more everyday (almost). The one that really made me love her recently, though, is Chinami. I never really noticed her all that much before, but watching the concerts and PVs in these past few months, I've just become a huge fan of her. She's my current favorite Berryz member. I do wish she would grow her hair out to her Fighting Pose-style again, though.

Hmm... Miuna. I noticed a lot of girls, so I don't think I ever thought, "Her?" But I don't remember paying any attention or hearing about Miuna when she first joined. I started liking her a lot within the last year. Kei, too.

Rika and Kago :lol: I didn't like Rika for some reason that I don't even remember. Probably her voice. I think Kago was the same reason. I wasn't a big high pitched voiced person, but both are probably in my top 15 H!P members, if higher. :P

Yossi :P I remember thinking her "Yoshite, Yoshite" was so soothing and Gackt-melty-like. I think I liked her guy look (one of the first PVs I saw was Mr. Moonlight) b/c it was really cool, but now, I can't stand her voice let alone her personality...

Umeda, Chisato, and Kei. I've been looking into things Kei's been doing the last few months... and really noticed her. She's amazing. My conclusion :lol: For Umeda and Chisato... Well, the two aren't that good looking compared to a lot of the other girls, but their voices are :o I'm extremely impressed by Chisato especially since she's what... 10? 11? Umeda just has an awesome voice that I think sounds like Miyabi as I've recently discovered with the FC event recordings tama posted :D

Well, there's Berryz, and Ayaya. Berryz have good songs which I used to avoid, because I'm not into the little kids. <_< Ayaya used to annoy the hell out of me, but she's really grown alot and I've gained alot of respect for her.

1) Miki. At first, I was a Maki slut, but I slowly noticed Miki and turned.... into what I am today. :oops:
2) I didn't like Nakazawa quite a lot apparently... well, until I saw her on HMs that is. :lol:
3) Not really, my first favorites are still at my top ten. Just overtaken by Miki and a few others.
4) Aya Matsuura. She is HOT.

Satoda Mai and Miura. At first I have not idea who they are, and that goes to Country Musume as well. But due to Gatas, and performances in concerts I'm starting to like both girls. Mai is those hot-type girls and Miura is those kawaii-type girls.

Yuko... when I first know MM it was the beginning of JKM (actually I then realize I know MM from a long time by the Japanese girls in my school performing 3-nin Matsuri's "Chu! Natsu Party"
Anyway when I first saw Yuko (in H!M as host) I thought "why the heck is there a old woman in a JPOP group full of young girls?" But as later I know more about Yuko I start knowing how important she is in H!P and her charm/sexy as a 30+ woman!

Kaori... at first she was ok for me but then as I watch more shows with her in it (either old H!M, old Utaban, etc.) I starting to feel she's sometimes too annoying.

Eriri :heart: at first I don't have a favour of her (either than thinking "oh... she has long hair, she's cute!") But as later I watch her on Maido Ari, Musume DOKYU, H!M, etc. she started to attract me her. Not just because she looks great but also her personality. The weird, foolishness, and funny characters of her! :heart:

Definietly Miki, Ogawa and Nakazawa. I think it happened whilst watching Hello! Morning and seeing how their personality is really unique. Miki is really out goign and both Ogawa and Nakazawa are hilarious.

Aya Matsuura. I'm a little late, but I recently heard Zutto Sukide Iidesuka and Yuujou Jou Karubi and those are some awesome songs. She's probably my most favourite H!P artist.

Risa mostly.. when i first started watching, i never really noticed her except she always had very large earrings on lol. but after watching a lot of old stuff, i just couldnt escape how cuuuuuuute she is~

i don't think so... like the first week or two i got into h!p, takahashi was my favorite... she's moved down the list, but she hasnt fallen that hard...

Ai Takahashi. She has an eccentric quality to her combined with a killer body and eyes I could lose myself in.

Maki Goto. Seemed way overrated, even a little ugly, but looks HOT nowadays. I actually LIKE the new single, and the last (01/29/06) Haromoni just cemented my liking for her.

Unfortuately, Nacchi. Something about her just seems a little overdone. Don't hate her, just don't like her as much as before.

As above, Maki has really gotten to me. Ayaya has come into my attention more as well, as I love her new single as well.

Berryz Koubou. (Mostly Yurina, Risako, and Maasa) I used to always see Berryz around, but I never really gave them a listen until about the time '21ji Made...' came out. I hated them at first, but after their past few singles and the Berryz Goodies thread, they're starting to become my favorites.

When I first saw Sayu, Reina, and Eri, I didn't really like any of them, but as they started to do more I liked them more. Although not so much with Reina. I don't really like her too much, but there's nothing I hate about her either. I used to think Sayu was annoying, but her Futarigoto and segments with Yuko made me like her more. Also, Berryz like I said before.

i think C-ute members..when i 1st know tht da ones who were not in Berryz ar called C-ute i was shocked!! coz Berryz get to release singles but they dunt..does tht mean they won't b any popular?
but now when i look at all da C-ute members including Kanna..

Fujimoto comes to mind first. I didn't really pay attention to her at first, as my eyes were full of Ishikawa (I think I can be forgiven for that), but then I sort of gradually started liking her.

I still like her less than a lot, but Yaguchi. At first I thought she was loud and annoying and ought to act her age, but eventually I realised she's okay when she's not acting like an idiot.

No one, really. It's harder for me to stop liking someone than to start.

It was somehow only with the latest Kouhaku that I realised Matsuura had at some point become seriously hot. Yeah. I'm still not a big fan or anything, though.

Some Berryz. I like Risako now. Ayumi Shibata. I don't really like MKB, but she's very cute. Eri has grown into her own for me lately. None of these are my favs though. Except for Risako, none are in my top 5 H!P members.

Nope. Because I didn't really "hate" anyone at first. Not until recently (past few years) have I started to dislike members.

Almost all of 4th generation. :( I don't know why. I really liked them and was really rooting for them at first. Then Kago and Tsuji left MM, but weren't given a chance to grow up. They turned 18 and were still cute, genki, TsujiKago. Yossi disappoints me as MM's leader now. But I think once she leaves MM (if she leaves) I'll like her again. I really liked 4th gen at first. Now they are just... meh. They don't shine outside of MM.
And, at first I liked Takahashi. I liked her during Mr. Moonlight era and somewhat during Do It! Now. I though she was really cute and I admired her dancer background. But now she annoys me to no end.

DIVA.. i started to like her more and more.. so she is my favourite now. And after i get to know Nacchi.. i started to notice Morning Musume too.

reina: just like kamei, moved her way to numbah 3 on my top favs in a short period of time. her kawaiiness hit me like a ton of bricks. plus the H!M Gekijou panda char was too adorable, and the whole yankee thing is awesome

Kamei. she didn't really do much back then. it wasn't until she started doing her Elizabeth Kyamei bit when I notced her comical awesomeness.
Matsuura. I wasn't really into Hello! Project much outside of Morning Musume at first. Ayaya was the first I noticed after exploring Hello! Project.

...Mari..? One of the first shows I saw about MM was the Mechaike Bakajo Test and the Utaban Otome Gumi vs Sakura Gumi...
And I couldn't help but notice Mari keeps bashing Rika when Okamura says Rika's cute...And it continues in that Utaban ep....I really disliked what she did but then I noticed it was a common practice among the girls...And that Mari and Rika were actually best friends...Then I realised the ones that usually bash each other on shows are actually the best of friends...
The rest is history and now I worship the ground Mari walks on...:heart: :heart: :heart:

I first saw MM on their JKM PV...Based on that PV, I really liked Kaori(since she's the prettiest), Risa(loved her lines in JKM) and Ai(loved the accent)...
I still like Kaori and Risa although they're not really top in my faves list...
And Ai is just...meh.

- I am not sure if I would say fav...but I have grown to have a lot of respect for her - Konno Asami. The time I really noticed her was during the last Sporst Festival when she won the long distance race. She really smoked everyone on the track! I thought this tiny little girl has so much heart...wow! Then I started noticing her in H!M and I realized that although she is not all glam and glitz but more kind of soft spoken and quiet she is really bright and intelligent. She has also evolved so much as a singer and perfromer during her career. I will always support her as a fan even though she has graduated. :cry: Her graduation special on H!M still pisses me off - I thought she deserved so much more than a few goofy games (of which she was only able to win one - very anti-climatic). The only H!M graduation I had seen until then was Rika's...and I thought Konkon deserved to reallly do more fun things and share the highlights of her Momusu career with the fans in the way Rika did.

- No one really comes to mind. I have never really liked Yoshizawa Hitomi and Tsuji Nozomi but they have both really become an integral part of Momusu/H!M/H!P that I can not help but like them a little. I guess Nono has grown on me more and I actually like her as a singer more than I did when she was younger (she was too cute in an annoying little girl way for me in her early teens).

- This has never happened. For me Rika has always been number one and the rest of the H!P members rank below her to varying degrees. For what it's worth the number two spot goes to Gocchin and then after that it gets fuzzy. Maybe Iida Kaori has slipped a bit...then again since she left Momusu I have not folowed her career.

- Without a doubt Matsuura Aya. I never thoght she was pretty or even cute when I first saw her and I did not really like any of her music. Now for whatever reason that has changed in the last 2-3 months. I noticed that she was one of the best singers in H!P when I heard some of her unplugged stuff on Hello Pro Hour. I also realize that she can be cute and funny. I liked her with Gomattou on Utaban - that was freakin hilarious :D. Her Alo Hello! was very entertaining. More and more I like her music and now Ayaya with Mikkity as GAM makes me realize that she is pretty hot!
- A couple of others that contnue to gain my admiration are Abe Natsumi, and Nakazawa Yuko, (too many reasons to list - they are H!P legends).
I'd also like to mention that I have mixed feelings about Kusumi Koharu. At frist when I saw her take the satge at the Rika Graducation Concert I was like 'how the hell did they pick this girl?!?'...then little by little I saw her in PVs and Perfs and I started to think she was alright. I also think that she is very pretty and will most likely become one of the major hotties in H!P. So she has potential - but she is very young - in my heart I want to supprt her but it has not been easy. Maybe it is unfair for me to expect more from her this early in her career, but I am getting bored of her in Momusu and H!M. It's been over a year she has been in Momusu and I am still thinking the group would be the same with or wihtout her. I guess it just boils down to missing all the great members that have graduated and realizing that no one can ever replace them...:cry:

Miki Fujimoto. My love of Miki didn't come until my other favorites left MM - Mari, Nozomi, Aibon, Kaori. She works better in a smaller group/alone imo. But Miki's my absolute favorite H!P member now :) Her anti-idol persona is refreshing.

It'll have to be Ayaya. I haaaated her earlier singles and thought she was too fake poppy/idolish for me. But I've really liked her new ballads (though I think I'm the only one LOL). All of my initial favorites LOL. Mari especially. I still think she's cool, but she's not even on my radar anymore. Kago/Tsuji would be there but no W activity (same goes for Kaori).... I think the public would've recieved them better had they grown up over the years instead of staying 12). They've been demoted to nostalgia status. :I

Takahashi love went insanely over the top thanks to seeing Goodbye Natsuo and Ribon no Kishi love. Takahashi love was always crazy anyway, but seeing both of those in such a short span of time almost killed me. My brain can't handle anymore Taka love x_x Also, Megumi. I've always liked the girl since I first saw her, but especially since seeing her at WHL, and all the new C-ute songs, I have amazing love for this one.

Yossi. I got into the fandom sometime in 2003 and all I had were the singles and pics, Yossi wasn't really given any exposure at that time. So I didn't notice her. Then gradually she started making a comeback and one day I just noticed her and she's been my fave since then :)

Sayu and Koha. Sayu I had always liked at least a bit, but after discovering youtube, I started watching a lot of Sayu clips and I just found her really cute when she wasn't trying to, she's also very entertaining. As for Koha, Balalaika was the attention-grabbing event. I love that song and I love the way Koha sings it.

The majority of HPKs, Momoko especially. In the 'Piriri to yukou' era I considered her ugly, but now I'm a proud Momo-worshipper ^^'

Aibon. I still adore her, but I've lost much of my interest in her and W.

Maimi. At first the only girls I noticed in C-ute were Airi and Meguru, but I've discovered that Maimi is just as wonderful, she's a great performer.

Definetely Tettekete. I thought she was very strong headed and had a really strong personality (not that it was bad at all). It made her seemed like she had to win every game or quiz. But i do like her now, finding her very matured and very down-to-earth. The only girl who will say "iie, iie" when people comments that she is cute/pretty/talented. :)

Goto. After year 2004/2005, i began to not follow her anymore. I really dont know why myself. :confused:

Kamei, because of her weirdness. Also, Maimi~ she's amazing, has a huge confidence on her, her Shiawase beam performance @ HPH was a great one to see :heart:

KonKon. She was the last 5th gen that I got to like. And it was all cuz she pulled Sayumi to the right direction when she messed up a live Iroppoi performance. When I started paying more attention to KonKon I realized what a gentle, shy and smart girl she was. Awww now I miss her :cry:
Tanakachi. The Aa! pv totally did it for me. The girl can sing and dance! Also her image for First Kiss really suited her. Nice hair, cool hat :heart:

Ayaya. I don't like her as much now as I did before but she's my only hate to love story :lol: When I first saw her I was thinking what's with the cutsey talk and consistant blinking. Later she won me over with her wit and credible singing.

Maki got me into H!P and Rika brought my fandom to a whole new level but after they graduated from MM it just wasn't the same.

Koharu aka Kirari. I love every solo song she has released. Either she has really good songs or the Miracle is shining through :lol:

Ayaya; I wonder HOW I couldn't have noticed her but I didn't cause I got exposed to MM first. Later on when I did notice her I found so much of a resemblance to my friend's sister when she smiles! I always look forward to seeing her sing live (good voice + great expressions) and she has alot of charm and wit to her; and I'd go on and on about how awesome she can be but I can't XD.
Miki; I never cared about her as much cause I was more into younger 6th gen but she's awesome too. She sounds and looks great most of the time, is so blunt it's refreshing and yet that goes away whenever she's with Aya or Yossie it seems...

No one; I was too ignorant to actually hate anyone at first. But I remember trying to ignore Konno all the time... now she's on my okay list.

Country Musume, I didn't care about them and I avoided them like the plague. I started to pay actual attention to them, then somehow I just really liked them a lot.

Rika, and somewhat Takahashi. Rika is one of my very top favorites now.

Ayaya. She's what got me into H!P but as I learned more she drifted to the backburner.
Melon Kinenbi. I think it was the lack of new music that made me forget about them.
Kei. She just doesn't do much so once again, lack of exposure.

Umeda Erika, Murakami Megumi, Yajima Maimi. I liked them in ZYX but since they didn't have a lot of exposure not being in any groups otherwise it too for C-ute to be formed to bring back my love of those 3.
Or have none of your opinions changed?
Mari, Risa, and Momoko. Since I first saw them I loved them, and I still do now.

Can "at first" mean over ten years? When I recently watched all C-ute videos in a row I noticed how cute Nakky is. I've paid almost no attention to her in the past. But I also think it's too much to call her "one of my faves" now; it might just be a temporary boost in interest. H!P is so nuts right now.

This one's kind of tough for me because ever since I've experienced new H!P members, from Koharu to Viyuden to Kanna and the dozens of recent ones, I've tended to automatically at least neutrally like everyone because that's my general attitude towards H!P. Like, "you chose to audition for H!P, welcome to the family" kind of thing.
I guess there was a time when I didn't appreciate Maachan's "brattiness", but since she's really just someone who thinks differently (and doesn't do things a certain way because she's selfish, rude or spoiled) I've been able to let go of that and now find her pretty special. lol

A whole bunch of Eggs/Trainees actually, which is super strange and a shame. I really liked Fukuchan as an Egg, for instance, and was happy for her when she debuted, but then my attentions went to completely new faces like Eripon and Riho and Fukuchan kind of faded in the back somewhere. S/mileage as 4 members was basically a best-of-Eggs compilation, but none of the members ever rose to be a super favourite to me at or after their debut (tho Ayacho has cracked the top 10-15 for sure), even if I'd been talking about Kanyon's cuteness forever and Ayacho's quirky character/personality. Now that Kobushi and Tsubaki Factory have some trainees that I've liked before, but haven't been super invested in, hopefully I can actually become a normal FAN for some of them. It's pretty BS that it seems I can only be interested in some people PRIOR to greater success - even if I still do like them, and there's always still a chance I will like them more again in the future. Kind of like I now like Fukuchan more as Momusu's leader (I'd have to re-do the ranker to find out if she's at top 15 now). I'm just a little annoyed at myself for this, but even idol love can't be forced...
