A mature, solid performance. I can foresee the future where she will one day be in command of J=J with Manakan as her XO.

Lately, Lieutenant-Commander Uemura blogged about her daunting but exciting experience assuming new responsibilities as Juice=Juice Operations Officer, plus her thoughts on taking over some chunks of singing lines from Karin who was the Team's previous Ops Officer.

But Akari is ready to take on new challenges!

There we have it....Akari's first official Commanding Officer's Log after a successful christmas event since assuming leadership of the unit:

The Christmas tree really made me feel like Christmas 😌
The costumes were all cute!
And for me, it's the first event since I became CO!
I was allowed to do such a fun corner!
After all, I think the good thing about being Captain is that I can do whatever I want with the privileges of a Commanding Officer. I wanted to use it with all my strength, so it was a very easy corner ☺️
There was pressure among the members because I was closely monitoring everyone, but ☺️
I managed to get a prize for both performances with the power of good luck and the power of the members!

2 choice corner. .. At the end, I had to make a choice, so I was indecisive and wanted to divide it in half.

Still, despite being the new leader/Captain, Aarii have not stopped being a mischievous and funny brat...here she is pulling a kissing prank on the Hokkaido combi of her executive officer Manaka and Ensign Yume Kudo:

Backing out at the last minute, you can tell Manakan and Yume were genuinely taken aback! this series of instagram snapshot proved that though she could be stern, there was also a fun side to the new leader of Juice=Juice

Such a lofty title is a bit too long to address..

besides, since Juice=Juice is like the elite Special Force of Hello Project, and Special Forces are normally led by a Captain, its more straightforward to address her as Captain Uemura, The Commanding Officer of Juice=Juice.

Ensign Kudo and 1st Lieutenant Danbara are already enjoying the protection of their new Captain!

YASS!! After ages of me waiting, it's finally here!!

For this week's ONE PLUS ONE Duet roster, we are treated with the Double-Uemura "sister-like" combi, starring 23-year old Captain UEMURA Akari and 13-year old Trainee Corporal UEMURA Hasumi singing orimen J=J's special warfare hit song Are Kore Shitai. If somebody told me that they are NOT sisters, I would NEVER have believed him/her. And both of them hail from Osaka too! I predict that Hasumi will be debuting soon and will grow up to be as beautiful exactly like her ~~older sister~~.

I found this video which succintly summarized the close friendship the CZ2 duo has evolved over the course of their long and storied careers. Its a pity they both never got the chance to do any official event together as a duo unit due to Masaki's abrupt departure from the Fleet's active duty:

0:00 Sergeant Uemura & Avation Sergeant Sato joins the service together as junior specialists
1:12 Lieutenant Uemura & Lieutenant Sato becomes familiar with each other
1:33 1st Lieutenant Uemura & 1st Lieutenant Sato becomes really good friends
3:14 Lieutenant-Commander Uemura & Lieutenant-Commander Sato are starting to operate on the same frequency mentally
5:01 Commander Uemura & Commander Sato fools around any chance they get (Akari becomes J=J’s unofficial Executive Officer & Masaki briefly becomes Momusu’s Commander Air Group)

Dec 2021:
- Masaki retires from active combat duty and steps down as CAG of Momusu, succeeded by Oda Sakura, signalling the end of any hope of the CZ2 duo activity officially ever taking off.
- Akari was promoted to Captain and succeeded Kanazawa Tomoko as new Commanding Officer of J=J.

Under the command of new CO, Captain Uemura Akari, Special Warfare Team JUICE completed their first mission of their Terzo combat tour with a rousing success and their performance overall have impressed the audience who rewarded them with a long applause at the end. The J=J skipper realized that this was the first time her juniors (in the last tour) in particular YumeRiai have rose to the occasion as new seniors replacing the old guard with such tenacity and effort she was proud of them:

Very cute costumes...they are impressive in pink.

The next day, the Juice Captain participated in the veteran MSMW performance in Hiroshima. Though Akari was happy to be reunited with her ex-orimen teammate, either she was tired of Commander Miyamoto's antics or she has really matured since taking over command/leadership of Juice=Juice. Either way, her expression at the end of this clip is priceless...it was like..."Someone, please take Rinka away from me"

Inside a motsunabe shop somewhere in Chiba, 2 old friends were catching up on each other's lives after being out of touch for years since the retirement of one of them.

Muro: So...how's it like being Captain of Juice=Juice?

Aarii: Can't we talk about something else BUT WORK, Muro? Isn't this date supposed to be for BOTH of us to unwind?!

Muro: Oooh, someone's getting testy ehh, go figure...being Commanding Officer IS stressing you out. I can see it's already taking its toll on your face.

Aarii (glares at her best friend): What do you mean "take a toll on my face"?! My face hasnt changed in years!! And don't get me started on being that Osaka Obachan again!

Muro(chuckling): You still haven't changed, Akari. Still the same ole Osaka yankii I met and horsed around with while I was flying jets off the deck of Angerme. We sure had fun times, especially when Masaki was onboard.

Aarii: You know..its times like these that I regretted taking part in the operation to rescue you when you were shot down behind enemy lines.

Muro (shrugging her shoulders): Well, it isn't up to you, though. Admiral Fukumura would not have sent other teams...only the best Special Forces team to rescue the best fighter pilot.

Aarii: Hah!! The best pilot would not have let herself shot down in the first place! But I do admit, I missed our carefree days, Muro. The days when the weight of responsibility was not even something I contemplated taking on.

Muro: Well, to be honest, you used to give Yuka a really hard time when she was Captain of your team, remember? Every officer in the Fleet knows that too well.

Aarii: That's the thing, Commander. I've always been the baby..the spoiled brat when we 1st gen orimen were serving together. I was the one who STICK IT UP to the CAPTAIN.

Muro: And now....you're..THE.. Captain. (smiling sheepishly) Who would've thought in a millio years?

Aarii: Yeah...and NOW, I have to contend with a new generation of BRATS who keep disobeying orders and stubornly does their own thing.
