Title: BEST Athlete @ their Jersey NUMBER?

In SPORTS NUMBERS are everything. From hallowed records like 715. 755. 61. 81. Dates. Nth Super Bowl. etc.

But all too often, we associate Numbers with The Jersey NUMBER.

Jordan's 23. Gretzky's 99. Ruth's 3. The name doesn't even need to be mentioned. We base our Bank PIN NUMBER on our favorite players.

For me, #9 and #14 belong to Rika Ishikawa :lol:

#44 - Henry Aaron
#32 - Sandy Koufax
#3 - Babe Ruth

#42 - Jackie Robinson
#21 - Roberto Clemente

I'm not sure if the last two were truly identified with their uniform numbers like The Babe and The Hammer...

For me I would say the most obvious would be Jordan (23) and Gretzky (99)

I would also have to say Messier (11), and Lemiuex (66) as not doubters.

in football , it's just a mere individual opinion for the number 10, because there's so many great and super talented players wearing number 10 jersey.. so I'll just associate with other numbers
