Talked to Jab's mom earlier.

He's still in critical condition.

They don't know what's going on with him, know it's a rare pneumonia. Treating with various anti-biotics for each case. Putting him in a comatose state to let the respirator breathe for him.

Basically, the respirator is pushing oxygen in, but he wants to cough up the stuff in his lungs and there is just all these tubes in his mouth. They did a Cat Scan too.

Talked to 2 of 3 doctors and they had strain of H1N1 but other unknown.

Could be all the travel, not eating well, lack of rest. One night, it was pretty cold in the room, forgetting to turn down the AC? Him being sick before arriving in LA.

Coming home, he Tried to tell his father about the trip but was coughing non-stop, even to DL the pics for the family to see. Thought it would just take a little rest, asprin for the headache. Then Jab told his mom, "gotta go the ER and get checked out." And there he's been.

Just meeting him in person was EPIC in itself. Like we knew each other forever.

His mom of course was very shaken and upset, and thankful so many people are behind him and his family. Jab is an extraordinary human being, always caring about others.

I wanna give thanks to those just flooding the thread with thoughts and prayers. KEEP POSITIVE. Jab is a trooper, he's been through his ups and downs. Keep posting, so he'll be overwhelmed with AX Stories & RLD goodness when he gets back. Keep up the selfless acts of kindness towards new peoples. Who knows, Jab prolly pimped the JPHIP to em at AX!!

Hey everyone. I did get sick at AX -- started as a cold, then went to a one-day 103F flu after I got back to my sis' place after the convention. No need for a doctors visit, even though my throat is still itchy and my nose still runny even today.

Sad to hear what happened to Jabronisaur though. I met him at AX and found him to be a great guy and a great MM fan (esp. Jun Jun). I honestly hope I didn't pass him anything, and I wish him the best so he can get back on his feet cheering the ones we all adore.

Sounds like more than just serious, his condition.

The symptoms dai described kind of remind me of what I had during my last Japan trip and at home. On the last days I felt like I had fever or some temperature close to it (feeling dizzy etc.) and had to cough most of the time even having trouble falling asleep because of it, like something I never had before. Back at home I didn't have fever anymore but still had to cough like crazy. My mother said it was probably some dry cough and gave me some medicine we still had and I eventually felt better after a few days (my trip was prior to swine flu outbreak).
Seems Jab has something more serious though~ hope they figure out what to do against it

He will be back with us. We are all thinking positively for him. he is a great man, and there is no way he is done here..... he has to have another convo with JunJun.....

and he has to be there to greet all of us with a huge smile and tons of love.

Your in our thoughts and prayers, and you have so many angels watching you jab.

You will get better.
